With minimal crowds, Shanshui Beach stands out as one of the best beaches in Penghu because of its relaxing vibe, pristine white sand, and mesmerizing atmosphere.
A wonderful clean beach.
There’s no shops or restaurants on the beach, no chairs or umbrellas. It’s just a beach. ❥
You can find a convenience store nearby.
It seems to get more visitors after 5pm when the sun isn’t so hot, which I would also recommend.

Kaitei Penghu Tianhou Temple, also known as the Mazu Temple of Penghu, is a prominent temple located in the Penghu Islands of Taiwan. It is dedicated to the goddess Mazu, who is highly revered by the Taiwanese people as the protector of seafarers and fishermen.
The temple was built in the 17th century during the reign of the Kangxi Emperor in the Qing Dynasty. It has since been rebuilt and renovated several times, with the latest restoration completed in 1994. The temple is noted for its distinctive architecture, including its red walls, intricately carved roof, and elaborately decorated interior.
The temple is a popular destination for tourists and worshippers alike, with many coming to pray for blessings and good fortune. The temple is also known for its lively festivals and processions, including the annual Mazu Pilgrimage, which takes place in the third lunar month.
In addition to its religious significance, the temple is also a cultural landmark and a symbol of the enduring heritage and traditions of the Penghu Islands.

The fireworks are amazing!! Penghu international fireworks festival happens around late april-june twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. The fireworks are sooooo pretty and close up in the sky. Show actually starts at 9 but come a bit earlier to check out a small night market nearby with food stalls. Their opening starts at 8pm. Find a good spot to get a nice view, the bridge side is usually packed. Definitely recommend picking days where the fireworks are happening to visit!

Get to the park nearby early so you can pick a good place to wait since it gets pretty crowded closer to when the fireworks starts. The bridge was really colorful at night, it lights up in rainbow colors! The fireworks were amazing and I definitely recommend planning your trip around the time they have this in the summer to see it! Hujing Island is surrounded by azure blue water, and the clear water is so blue that it turns green, making people want to jump in at all costs.
Hujing Island - # Taiwan Cat Island, I saw this name in a magazine and I always kept it in my mind.
Unfortunately, after chatting with the service staff stationed at E-Da Island on the island, I learned that the cats were originally 60+ years old, but due to a severe cat plague a few years ago, nearly half of their lives were taken away.
We visited the streets and alleys on the island, and now there are about 30+ left. With orange cats as the main force, there are sporadic three-flowered cats, Mercedes-Benz cats, and tabby cats.
Because humans and cats get along peacefully on the island, when we tourists get close to the cats, the cats are used to it and will not run away. They can be petted if they are obedient. They are really cute.
One morning for hiking and one afternoon for playing with cats. Hujing Island is the place of happiness. Visited at 11 am and left at 5 pm, taking in the entire small outlying island🥰
