The grand estate and laboratory of Sir George Everest boasts immaculate whitewashed walls and offers sweeping views of the surrounding valley. This location is renowned for its panoramic 360-degree scenic beauty, with the house serving as a base for various mountain height measurements including that of Mt. Everest. While currently closed to visitors due to ongoing renovations into a museum, tourists can still appreciate the stunning vistas from the observatory and higher points around the estate. It is important to note that access requires a 1.
Wonderful place to have scenic beauty from 360 degree.
There is house of George Everest & Observatory from where they measured heights of various mountains including Mt. Everest.
However both the places are not open currently as govt is converting it into museum.
However you can have scenic beauty from there and there is higher point from house to have better view.
Be aware, from ground to House is 1.5 KM trek and its tiresome but worth reaching at top to have beautiful view.

I had a fantastic hiking experience at this place. The well-built route offered a smooth and enjoyable journey. However, one downside was the litter strewn along the path, with unattended trash cans. Additionally, there were some uncultured individuals who disrupted the peaceful mountain environment with loud speakers, detracting from an otherwise great adventure.

Good place to plan a day trip.Easy to reach via car or two wheeler, ample parking.
30-40 minute trek to the view point.
One big drawback was too many checkpoints for collecting various fees on the way.
Parking fee 100/- (2 wheeler)
Entry fee 200/-
Museum fee 300/-
ATV fee 200/- per person one way if you want to speed up the boring 1.5km trek at the beginning.
They also do helicopter rides which in hindsight would have been a better option and not that expensive either.

There is steep 1.5km "walk" to the house but it's worth it. The surroundings are lovely and heartwarming. Mesmerizing.
It was under maintenance and there were no entry tickets.
We went in March and even enjoyed the clear view of Himalayan ranges covered in snow.
People also trek on a nearby mountain.

One of the best place to visit in Masoorie.
Worth the trek.
Trek is mesmerising. No horses. No cars.
Just pure nature.
Trek is well maintained, safe and not very big but big enough to enjoy.
Helicopter rides are very overpriced.
It's like 7k for 15 minutes of ride.

One of the best trekking I have ever made. Even it is hardest too as we already reached Dalai lama hills before reaching George Everest House. But after reaching the point, with Child on my shoulder its truly worth it. Clouds are communicating between us. For some minutes, we are not able to see anything near to 50meters. But once clouds passed, the beauty was spectacular.

The George Everest House, located in Mussoorie, is a fascinating attraction for history and nature enthusiasts. Named after Sir George Everest, the house offers panoramic views of the beautiful surrounding landscapes and provides insight into the life and work of the renowned surveyor.
One of the main draws of George Everest House is its historical significance. Sir George Everest was a British surveyor and geographer who served as the Surveyor General of India in the 19th century. The house served as his residence and workplace during his tenure. Visitors can explore the remnants of the house, which include the ruins of the estate and some old artifacts.
The location of the George Everest House is another reason to visit. Perched atop a hill, the house offers breathtaking views of the Doon Valley and the Himalayan ranges. The peaceful and serene surroundings make it a perfect spot to spend some time away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The George Everest House is also a great place for nature lovers. It is situated in the midst of lush green forests and is a starting point for several hiking trails. These trails lead to scenic viewpoints and offer opportunities to spot local flora and fauna. The trek to the house itself is a scenic and enjoyable experience.
However, it is important to note that the George Everest House is in a state of ruins, and there is not much to see in terms of infrastructure. The main attraction lies in the historical significance and the stunning views it offers. Visitors should also be prepared for a moderate level of physical activity as the uphill walk can be a bit challenging for some.
In conclusion, the George Everest House is a hidden gem in Mussoorie. It offers a blend of history, nature, and breathtaking views, making it a worthwhile visit for those seeking a unique and offbeat tourist experience. So, if you are in Mussoorie, make sure to include George Everest House in your itinerary.

Recently and beautifully renovated & restored George Everest house (surveyor who measured Mount everest and is named after him). It is now a museum of cartography celebrating Indian explorers who were integral part of the very first detailed survey of India. It is a fascinating and lovely museum. George Everest house was the observatory and house of Sir George Everest. Mount Everest is named after him to give tribute to him for his contribution for his work in a trigonometric survey of India.
It is a great place for hacking. There is around 1.5km steep trek till the house of Sir George Everest. The trek is well maintained and has a cemented road. The view is great from the top. There is also another trek from the house to the top of the mountain, it is a proper mountain Trek of around 900m from the house.
There are several eateries along the trek and top of the mountain. Also if one doesn't want to trek there is a golf car service also available to reach the top.
The view is a must watch.

Great experience. Beautiful view from the top. Check weather before going there. I don't recommend going in rainy season. Normal shoes would work but it would be better if you use hiking shoes as at some point it might be slippery on stones

It costs 200 per person to go to George Everest House. In addition to this, it's 1000 for each vehicle. As of October 2023, they accept ONLY CASH!! No GPay or PhonePe. If you prefer to walk, please note that it's a 1 km uphill walk and there are no benches or anything to take a break . Once you reach the house , there is a sort-of-difficult Trek up to the view point. It's again 1km up. The views from there are stunning though (during sunset)

A must visit place if you are in Mussoorie.
Forgot Char Dukaan and Lal tibba. This should be the 1st place you should visit in Mussoorie.
Total 2 KM trek, 1 KM to Museum route that is well maintained, roads are good and other 1 KM- Museum to peak, the path is completely off road, not properly maintained and it's exhausting, no beach and safety measures are there. There is one cafe in between you can sit there if you want
I suggest you are not wearing proper trek shoes or your shoes are slippery don't go to the peak because it's steep.
If taking Air Safari it will only take you to the Museum, Museum to Peak you have to Trek.
Not allowed- Liquor, cigarette, Drones.
Tickets-
Parking- ₹100 per two vehicles.
Entry Fees- ₹200 per person
Kind of a jeep- ₹100 per ride (200 for up down)
(Charges may change)
If you are a trek person you will definitely be going to love the trek and the view from the peak.

During my trip to Mussoori in Uttarakhand, George Everest is the best 👍💯 in my travel lists.
Just 4 km away from Mussoorie, it is one of the popular places famous for camping, picnics, and adventure outings.
Built in 1832, Sir George Everest's House and Laboratory, also known as Park Estate, is a popular heritage site. This popular house was from where Sir George Everest helped the British measure the height of the world's greatest peak, Mt Everest. Situated at a height of 6578 feet above sea level,
The trek starts from Hathipaon Chowk which is 4 km away from Library Chowk, Mussoorie.
For ease of understanding, we’ve broken down the journey based on the transport and the route you take.
𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙙𝙤 𝙞𝙣 𝙂𝙚𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙚 𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙃𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚 -
1. 𝙊𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 1.2 𝙠𝙢 𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙠

3. 𝙑𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙩 𝙈𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙪𝙢, 𝙘𝙡𝙤𝙪𝙙 𝙚𝙣𝙙
4. 𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝙤𝙪𝙩
If you plan to reach the base by your own vehicle, there is a parking space near the base of George Everest and Hathipaon Chowk. However, it is recommended to reach the place early to fetch a good spot, as sometimes it becomes packed with vehicles.
Permission and Camping -
You don’t need any permission to do the George Everest Trek.
However, you need to take permission at George Everest Basecamp, if you want to camp there. You’ve to take permission at the Basecamp, once you reach there. You don’t have to pay any fee. But the officials will note down your details in their records and grant you permission. Carry a government ID proof with you.

This place requires entry fee starting from 200rs and gradually varies . For pre wedding shooting drone etc costs accordingly. First phase of climbing is safe secure . 2nd phase of climbing in which u climb in real mountain 4km . Main struggle is present there. Very much riskier no railing is present. Small small stones present in the way which is slipping. Acrophobia patient strictly avoid this place. Path to up is very much narrow. Use tracking shoes otherwise it might create problem.

Kempty Falls in Mussoorie is a popular tourist destination that offers a stunning view of cascading waterfalls, pools and boating with vantage points and cafes. The site comprises seven waterfalls, which make for an awe-inspiring sight. Visitors can hike to the top to enjoy more breathtaking views of the falls. This attraction is perfect for groups of friends and families looking to spend quality time together. However, it may not be suitable for young children as it is located on a mountain.
The waterfall flows under a bridge. It's absolutely free to visit. You need to park you car slightly before or after the bridge. You can take the stairs and go to higher levels of the waterfall. There are shops where you can change and rent swimming trunks to take a dip in the waterfall. One such shop is absolutely free. There are also a few local food shops as well. Overall it's a good tourist attraction.

The Kempty falls itself is very pretty and the water appeared white and clear(just like you might have seen in some pictures). You can either walk or take a cable car ride to see the waterfall. You will see hundreds of people getting into the water and having fun. There are a few lookouts to to enjoy the waterfall and take pictures. Kempty Falls was only 5 kilometers from our hotel JW Marriott but I guess is a good 45-60mins. drive in a car from Mussoorie(depending on the traffic). Stop littering and save this wonderful spot for others to enjoy as well. The city has a task cut out for them to take action and tidy up this place which I believe is one of the attraction in Mussoorie!

We recently visited Kempty Falls with our family and had a wonderful time. The falls themselves are a stunning natural attraction, offering a refreshing and picturesque spot to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. The sound of the water cascading down the rocks was both soothing and invigorating.
Apart from the falls, we were pleasantly surprised by the nearby market. It’s a great place to shop for wooden gifts and souvenirs. There was a wide variety of items, including beautifully crafted wooden artifacts, which made for perfect mementos. Additionally, the market had a good selection of items for ladies, ranging from accessories to clothing.
Overall, Kempty Falls is not just about the natural beauty but also offers a delightful shopping experience. It’s a perfect spot for a family outing, combining the joy of nature with a bit of local shopping.

We had a amazing time at soham himalayan centre.
The amount of information and prized artififats present at soham speaks volumes of the dedication of Dr. Kavita Shukla and Mr Sameer Shukla.
They have painstakingly collected a lot of pieces over the years.
We were welcomed warmly by Dr Shukla and given a tour of the entire location.
The paintings and the intricate art work along with the history including parchment papers and coins from Mughal era are really amazing
Every space is adorned with art work from local villages within uttarakhand
There is also a fantastic collection of clothing and jewellery present which depicts the rich culture of uttarakhand.
The paintings depicting the festivals in uttarakhand are really lovely.
It's a must visit place for anyone wanting to know about the history, culture and the amazing flora and fauna of uttarakhand.

Glad that we stopped by. This is a privately run museum, crafts center and art exhibition. The founders and owners are themselves artisans and many of the exhibits (sculptures, paintings) are by their own hand. The place has a warm, quaint and artsy feel. We were lucky to be shown around by the owner herself. She displays so much passion for what they do here and the charity that they run. Some of the paintings and sculptures are for sale, proceeds go towards upkeep and charity. There’s also a small gift shop and a cafe overlooking the valley.

A must visit place by everyone to understand our deep routes in culture and heritage, preserved by Soham Himalayan Center with a passion from heart.
Camels Back Road, named after a rock formation resembling a camel's hump, is a scenic roadway linking two significant regions. The route provides picturesque views and passes through areas of great importance. Despite its name, the road itself does not resemble the shape of a camel but rather winds through natural landscapes with stunning vistas. Camels Back Road offers an efficient connection between crucial spots while providing enjoyable sightseeing opportunities along the way.
Located in Mussoorie at an elevation of 6000ft, Lal Tibba Scenic Point offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas. This popular tourist spot is known for its picturesque perspectives and lush green vegetation. Situated on the roof of a modest cafe, it provides visitors with the opportunity to enjoy cake, coffee, and a stunning view. The adjacent ruined estate offers an even better vantage point of the valley and surrounding hills.
From this particular place you can see amazing iconic places, valleys, and people too. One visiting this place should go around winters end or rainy end to see the clear mountains covered with snow. It's clearly seen from Lal Tibba. And from the other side you can see the entire Mussoorie and that is so amazing.
Have a great time ahead and please be gentle towards nature.

It is the highest point of Mussoorie and there are 2 cafes, one is Savoy cafe, famous for its patisserie and the other one is government approved (as they call it) restaurant, which also has large binoculars on the roof. But you won't be able to see much from it as the lens were not very clear.
However the atmosphere here was amazing. Cool winds, beautiful valley view and decent food. The only question is that would you spend 45 minutes traveling to this place and another 45 minutes while returning, just to spend sometime here?

Breathtaking view from the Lal tibba view point... The binoculars don't do much justice to what we witness with naked eyes!! Getting here from Char dukan point could sound like a task but amazing views treat you on each step!! Beautiful place, worth a visit!

This cafe is highly overrated. If you're going there for view i would suggest enjoy the view from outside the cafe it's free and the view is same. This place is so crowded that even if the seat is not available, the owner will let you enter, and they charge a fee of Rs. 50. The food is below average. If you still want to go there, just order a regular hot chocolate it tastes good.

This place should renamed as HEAVEN! No one can express it's beauty in words. It's truly amazing. It'll hug you with it's immense beauty after a harsh drive through the steep mountain roads. And if you're lucky enough you'll be able to experience snowy roads.
And there's a cafe at the scenic point which offers freaking amazing food with a splendid terrace view of Himalayan wonderland ❤️

The view is breathtaking from the top. One can get a clear glimpse of the true beauty of the hills of mussoorie from here. The road to the top is very narrow so one needs to be careful while driving by personal car here. The best is to take professional and experienced driver or local cab.
There is a private restaurant here where one can get a clear view of the natural beauty. The entry ticket to which is Rs.50 but if one order something to eat from here then that ticket price would be adjusted from the bill. We ordered a sandwich, Maggie and coffee and it was tasty. One can enjoy some quality time here.
Please walk around here to enjoy the view if you have time.
Must visit place.

Good small place for a quick 10-15 mins stop. A restaurant is setup with telescope who allows entry for Rs. 50 per person. You get to the 2nd level and through telescope get to iconic peaks from Himalayas. You phone camera will good zoom can also capture those peaks. If you have time in Mussoorie then do visit.

This point is at a great height from the city of Mussoorie. You'd be able to see the entire city on this face of the mountain, the sunset and the night lights. The whole cityscape is beautiful at night. It is blood freezing cold during winters so make sure to cover yourself up properly if you are not tolerant towards cold or wind. Do not go to the end of the road to park your vehicle, it is an unnecessary expense. You can just stop a bit beforehand and enjoy the same view.

This place is located on a much higher slope from Mall road. You should not visit here in rainy or foggy season, then of course this becomes worst part of trip. No such good view to travel such place.
There is just this cafe lal tibba point. Here you have entry ticket of 50 rs per head, then you can have items at cafe from that cost.
Only after entering the cafe you can use telescope to get some view.
Mostly overrated.

Not worth it.
It's a hyped place, just because celebrities went to these shops.
The restaurant is charging money (₹50 per person) for the scenic point view, although Binoculars is so outdated that you will not see anything- SCAM 😡😡, you can see a better view with your EYES.
Food- not good, unreasonably high price and serve filled with cheese with no taste. Cheese, Salt or Spicy those are the only flavours you will get here. And Biggest SCAM they said Entry fees will be deducted if you order food.
Instead go to Savoy Cafe which is in front of it and still better who won’t charge a penny for terrace and even food is good.

It is a simple place in Landour from where you can get a beautiful view of mountains , there is nothing much to do here even if you plan to skip this place in Landour that is also ok. The ticket price is Rs 80 per person.
It is known for its panoramic views of the Himalayan range. Visitors often praise its scenic beauty and the breathtaking vistas it offers. The peaceful atmosphere and the opportunity to see prominent peaks make it a popular destination for nature lovers.
The place is good for couples as well there is also a telescope along with cafe in lal Tina to drink and eat something.

The view from here is simply breathtaking. You can even see the snow-covered peaks of himalayan range on a clear day. There's a conveniently located cafe which charges an entry fee of 80₹ /person. The parking charges are 50₹ per bike and public washroom at 10₹ per use.

If you're coming for the first time to see mountains it could be great place but the scenario will reverse if you've been to other places.
Exact shop which is named as "Lal Tibba restaurant", charges Rs.50 for every person if you're just visiting. If you eat there, this amount will be adjusted in the bill.
Food is not that great, neither taste wise nor proprtion wise. I tried chicken sandwich. Cold coffee was fine somehow but not special.
I'll advise you to visit this site during sunset.

Starz Clarks Inn, MussoorieShedup Choephelling Buddhist Temple
The Shedup Choephelling Buddhist Temple is a beautiful religious building in Mussoorie that commands stunning views of the surrounding valleys and mountains. It is a popular destination for tourists, who can admire its colourful walls and flowering blooms. The temple is dedicated to Lord Buddha, and it is one of the first Tibetan holy places to be built in India.
Beautiful Buddhist temple located in hills. The place is quite, clean and very well maintained. We were there a bit early in a morning. The place was not yet bustling with tourist, which gave us an opportunity to interact with the old caretaker who stays there. He was very eager to share the temples history and also shared some pieces of Tibetan culture with us. This place is usually low on many tourist's priority list, but if you want to feel inner peace, you should visit it along with Santura Devi temple (which is nearby and equally beautiful).

A beautiful, serene and mesmerizing place of worship. It is on road to Company Garden and easily accessible via road. It is spread across a large area overlooking the mountains. There is plenty of space and sitting area in front of the beautiful temple to enjoy the view of the nearby mountains. Gives you a small glimpse of the rich Buddhist culture. (It is respectable to not use cameras inside the temple.)
You can travel up to Dalai hills from here to find a large Buddha statue with mesmerizing views of the gigantic Himalayan range and LBSNAA academy below. Highly recommended!

If you are someone who wants to escape the chaos of touristy spots in Mussorie, this is the place to be. Take your kids here, give them map and let them be little explorers. This is the best way they can learn to experience and appreciate nature in a vacation.
Now it is a bit dry out in the woods . But spring is on its way. I believe rhododendrons will be in full bloom in April and it would be a treat for eyes.

Its a natural reserve open for people to trek either on their own or using the help of guides. The charges are Rs350 per person and Rs 600 per person if one needs a guide. At the beginning of the trek they give you a map of the reserve with all the routes and important points marked on the map as well as on the map to help you stay on the track. There arent any animals so nothing to be scared of and the best time to visit is in spring when you can see the rhododendrons :D
We enjoyed our time here. If you have enough time you can hide something at some place and then develop into a quest or treasure hunt :D

Very beautiful and well maintained nature reserve. We need more such places in India. We explored just a portion of the reserve with our 5yr old without a guide, but we all still enjoyed it. There's a "hut" in a clearance where there's a toilet facility for trekkers. For something that's so remote, even that is clean and well maintained.

I had the pleasure of visiting Jabarkhet Nature Reserve in Mussoorie during the monsoon season, and it was an enchanting experience. The lush greenery and breathtaking views that surrounded us were nothing short of spectacular.
One of the highlights of our visit was the abundance of wildflowers and wild mushrooms that added a touch of magic to the landscape. The vibrant colors of the flowers and the mysterious allure of the mushrooms made every step of our hike truly memorable.
The reserve itself was well-maintained, with informative signposts along the trails that enhanced our understanding of the local flora and fauna. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to answer our questions and share interesting facts about the ecosystem.
I highly recommend visiting Jabarkhet Nature Reserve, especially during the monsoon season, for a nature-filled adventure that will leave you in awe of the beauty of Mussoorie's wilderness.
One thing to keep in mind when visiting Jabarkhet Nature Reserve during the monsoon season is that the trails can get quite slippery due to the rain. It's essential to be prepared, so I'd recommend carrying rain gear with you. Proper footwear and rain jackets will ensure you can enjoy the hike without any worries about getting wet or slipping on the trails.
Despite the slippery paths, the experience is well worth it. The rainy season adds a unique charm to the reserve, with glistening raindrops on leaves and the soothing sound of water flowing in the background. Just be sure to pack accordingly to make the most of your visit!

A very good place to trek. Make sure to take a guide with you otherwise you'll just get lost. They took 350/- per person but didn't provide any guide. It's mentioned in the ticket itself to provide a guide. They will give you their number to call if anyone needs it. But beware, once you enter the trek there is no service. Make sure you're safe and take someone with you if you're visiting for the first time. Keep water and a stick with you.

This is a hidden gem and I wish this stays hidden and beautiful forever. Let everyone who loves nature find out this place on their own. This is a privately owned Nature Reserve and we must thank Mr. Jain and his team for helping preserve the ecology with all their might. This place could have easily turned into a resort or a tourist place but they chose to preserve it, such a beautiful thought. There are multiple trails which you can choose from offering varied difficulty level, experience and views. Each Season comes with its own beauty here, read a bit more about them before you come here. I had to look at the clouds between the valleys and mountain and hence I chose a day with a slight rain forecast here. You can go all by yourself or take a guide here. The guide/s help you not only find the way but they have facts / notes / stories to connect you with each and every element there. Just a request, please do not litter anything while you are inside and don't take back something which doesn't belong to you. There are strategic motion cameras placed where they shall show you the footage of porcupine, leopard, bears , barking deers, pheasant etc which have passed by. Be benevolent and kind towards the nature that gives you such a beautiful place to wander around and respect nature..it shall always love you back. I hope this hidden gem stays beautiful today and forever!

JNR offers something to the visitor at all times of the year. Each month brings with it new discoveries and vistas so that you will never get tired of the place even if you are a frequent visitor. Visit the photogallery to view the wonders of each season.
In spring, the trails are scarlet with fallen rhododendron flowers and the trees are flowering and new leaves appearing. Birds are at their best at this time of the year and early mornings will give you vistas of the Himalayas.
In summer, you can escape from the heat by walking through the cool forest glens and enjoy the flowering meadows. The trails are thick with cones and the forest is fragrant with the aroma of pine and cedar.
The monsoon brings its own charm and along with it a myriad of wild flowers, ferns and mushrooms. It is the best time to explore the forest if you don’t mind getting a little wet. Avoid the meadows at this time and make sure you ask for leech socks to protect your feet.
Autumn is the time of acorns and wild grasses and of the trees changing colour with greens, browns and reds. The snow mountains once again start showing themselves after the haze of the summer and the clouds o f the monsoon.
Winter brings deep blue skies, clear Himalayan views, frost on the meadows and the possibility of walking through snow covered trails where you can discover the signs of the wildlife that thrives in the Reserve.
The Reserve is open between sunrise and sunset. Please make sure that you are out of the Reserve by sunset – in case you arrive late in the evening at the gate, you might be denied entry. We do not allow overnight stays, night walking or camping.

Christ Church is a beautiful old church just a few meters off, above the Mussoorie Mall Road. We saw it on our walk the first day and then got the chance to visit it on 23rd June 2022. the entry is via a short uphill road. As you stand outside and see the small iron gate and the few steps inside, you can feel the magic. The Building is pretty old British and teleports you back in time. The sky was absolutely beautiful as I clicked some pics. No-one stopped up as we entered the courtyard. We were admiring the views when the caretaker came to us and asked us if we wanted to see the inside. What an opportunity. The inside is amazing with stained glass artwork, the Gothic architecture and deep silence. We stayed there for a couple of minutes, made a small donation and came back outside. Oh, what a wonderful experience. Must visit, if you are at Mussoorie.

A small nature hike with well constructed steps, Santura Devi Temple is a good spot to visit. It falls on road from Kempty falls and Mall road Mussoorie. This temple is located atop a Hill on the way to Kempty Falls.
You will have to park a vehicle on the road and proceed by walk. It takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes to reach the Temple.
There is no ticket system as this is just a Temple.
Also there is no Time boundation, you can visit anytime.
This is not trekking, a pathway is made to reach the Temple. You will also get chairs on the way to rest while going up.
Pathways are a little steep but that is okay.
Since this temple is situated on the top of the hill, tourists can have a beautiful view of the valleys from there.
When you reach the top you will have to remove Shoes or Sandals to enter the Temple.
Actually no one will be there check that but you know it's ethics.

You have to travel near one km then you reach there you must enjoy trekking. After reaching there view is awesome. All side mountain and tree
A short trek to the temple up on a small hill. The view from up there is awesome. Must visit it, also you can see some beautiful colorful birds up there. Its a silent place to meditate or just feel the divine spiritual power. 🙏 God bless you, enjoy your stay in Uttarakhand... 👍

Another temple with breadth taking views. I can not be described in words you have to visit the temple to experience it. It is very popular among the locals, I have seen a local guy wearing a traditional attire for marriage visiting the temple with us family and friends to seek the blessings of God even the photographers are also visiting along him for shooting marriage rituals and the breadth taking landscapes.

The St. Paul's Church in Mussoorie is a beautiful English-style Protestant church that is a must-visit for anyone looking for a peaceful place to pray. The stained glass windows and wooden interior are the main highlights of this church, which was built in 1840 and was run by military chaplains for the cantonment until 1947. The church is located near the char dukan, or brasserie, popular with tourists in Mussoorie.

It is situated at the Landour a very happening place in Mussoorie. There is cafeteria and you can have a good taste breakfast hear.

The nearly 200 year old St. Paul's Church at Landour is located at one of the most scenic locations in India.

No matter who you are, or what you do; there's something about the mountains that make us all happy and excited. Maybe it is the peace, the quietness, the stillness, that entices us, city dwellers, into exploring the vastness of nature in the lap of mountains.
One such place is the St. Paul's church in Landour. Not only is this colonial structure a visual treat for all tourists, it is also a divine shrine of tranquility for soul searchers, who escape to the mountains for a moment of peace. Barely 500 meters from Chaar Dukkan, the church stands tall as an epitome of beauty and awe. It's premises includes a small open green space, where one can sit on the bench, quieten his/her thoughts and let the view do the rest. It's like a spa to the soul, where every tired nerve is rejuvenated with gentle kneading. A must visit place for all.
The Mussoorie Heritage Centre was started in November 2013 with the aim of preserving and showcasing the region's historical heritage. The museum houses a collection of local artefacts, including clothing, musical instruments, vessels and jewellery.

Surabhi is the lady who got this centre up and going. She is totally fascinated with the history of Mussoorie and has assembled a lot of interesting photos, books, facts, etc. Well worth a visit! The MHC is right under the newly re-built clock tower in Landour bazaar.

A wonderful and very much essential foundation located close to the clock tower in Landour Bazaar. The women running it are open and informative. Showing a very kind nature of spirit, the owner of the establishment deliberately took time out to explain to us in detail about all the artifacts on display. Another wonderful initiative being endorsed by the MHC is the availability of souvenirs, fair trade gifts and craft items. The majority of items on sale are directly linked to NGO projects in the local area. School improvement funding will also benefit by way of finance raised through the sale of handcrafted cards, jewellery etc. A very worthy cause.

Bhatta falls, in Mussoorie, Uttrakhand, is a great tourist attraction for people who love to go on amusement park rides and see beautiful natural scenery. The falls are located near the town of Bhatta and can be reached by car or ropeway. There is an adventure park nearby which children and adults alike can enjoy. The swings are a good place to relax while overlooking the waterfall running through it.
Its a charming place with a different experience as there are tiny cafes or stores providing seating right in the middle of the waterfall! There's an adventure park right next to it and they have trolley ride as well. I did not get to try the park but from what I heard it is pretty good. The place is quite peaceful overall.
Its truly a hidden gem near Mussoorie.

Good place to along with family, if you have scooty you can skip ropeway and go with your own vehicle, however 50 rs entry charge to adventure park even without using any ride is waste. Eating Maggie while sitting beneath waterfall and running water through your feet is good experience.

Great place to enjoy near the heights of Mussoorie. Entire set up is very nicely maintained. Will take about 15 minutes cable car ride to reach the spot. You will find a small nicely maintained garden, kids area for many recreational activities. Waterfall, upstream is though small but enjoyable. Tiny tin shop eateries are there walking upstream. They used to arrange chairs and table fixed within the stream for a cup of tea.

It's an awesome place for kids n adults too you can go here with friends or family or anyone it will be liked by all but i will recommend to park you vehicles on the top n take the ropeway cable to go down as the normal road to go down is very dangerous.

Bhatta Falls is situated on Mussoorie - Dehradun Road near Bhatta Village. This fall is one of the major tourist attractions and also among the best waterfall to include in Mussoorie tour.
Bhatta Falls is a natural waterfall cascading down from a height of 30 feet into a naturally encircled pool. This waterfall is relatively untouched by commercialization and a good place to spend some time. Visitors can see several picturesque locations ideal for photographer to catch nature at its best.

Bhatta falls is the place we can visit during our trip to Mussoorie. Tourists can go there by walk or rope way(250-per person return ticket rope way charges), mostly people prefer rope ways so they can enjoy scenic views of the mountain. There are many cafes sitting areas set up in the path of fall, so you can sit there and enjoy some tea/coffee or snacks. It's kind of a unique experience you can get in the fall. Apart from that there are lots of activities tourists can do as there is one gaming zone set up over there.

One of the best water falls in massurie. There are two ways to approach the fall one is by rope way and the other one is by car and walk a few yards on uneven terrain for 300-400 meters. The falls are small but beautiful. Small Restaurants are available at the base. One can enjoy the water under the feet while munching. Parking is somewhat difficult.

The bazar is known for its diverse array of bookstores, offering everything from rare antique volumes to the latest bestsellers. Visitors can also find unique handicrafts, artwork, and local souvenirs as they wander through the colorful stalls. Mossy Falls is a serene natural wonder located amidst lush greenery in Mussoorie. It is an ideal offbeat location for those seeking solitude away from the crowds. The road to reach Mossy Falls can be steep and it is recommended to travel by a two-wheeler. Monsoon season is the best time to visit this place and experience its beauty. Though not a popular tourist spot, the falls offer crystal clear water that adds to its charm.
Loved the place. A must visit for people who like to visit offbeat destinations. It's not as commercialized as Kempty falls. Very less crowded and surrounded by greenery. You can spend some time in silence while dipping your feet in the cold water.
Reaching here is a little difficult. Ideal ride is to go via a two wheeler. If you take a car, you might have to trek for 1-2 kms.

It's quite cute, but we were there in January which is the dry season. So not much action or water. But there is a nice altar and stuff. However, we decided to walk down - which was quite the hike. It's paved roads and super nice views on the way down. But it's far, and steep. It's several hundred meters in height difference. So it's like 1h to get down through steep roads and 1.5h to get up again. It's a tough walk so if you're not fit I'd recommend some kind of taxi or driver. Again, it's very steep, but paved.

Mossy falls is a very small waterfall near by jharipani road around 6 km from Barlow ganj Maud .
Around 25min drive from mussorie or around 15 min drive from barlowganj market.
The road is so slopes so it's tough to go with bikes and activate.
So take precautions while going through a 2 wheeler and you also need a perfect driver to reach there.
In comparison to jharipani fall , jharipani fall is much better so if u have a choice to choose one please go to jharipani fall.

Adventure Park Mussoorie with Zip Line, Rock Climbing, Trekking, Camping, Nature Walk, Wildlife safari and Forest Bath
Located in Mussoorie, the Adventure Park offers a variety of activities such as rock climbing, zip lining and rappelling. The park is well known for its great adventure experiences and rates are justified. It is best to plan at least 5 hours for all the activities in order to truly enjoy them.
Good park with multiple experiences. Rates are justified.
Keep at least 5 hours in hand to complete all the activities. Entry is 400(1200 for people coming from outside of India) per person and then per activity charges extra.
I am unable to recall staff names but those people was great at work, thumbs up to them.

Calm place to visit as there are only a few who reach the top and rest leave in between.
Suggest you to go there early morning so that u reach approx 9 am there.
One star miss due to the road reaching there have some sections so narrow that only 1 car cross at a time. If someone come from front one have to take their car back thus allowing other to pass.

Just visited this place 3 days back. No light in the area. Not suitable for kids. Very unhygienic and terrible place. About the place itself, it is just okay. Definitely overpriced. (~500 per activity) Activities are also basic. Not worth at all. Tea was horrible. And overpriced.

Gun Hill is a famous tourist attraction in Mussoorie that offers beautiful views. The cable car ride up to the top can be accessed for 100 rupees, and there are also nice temples and shops on the hilltop. There is also a scary house experience which is a complete waste, but the views are worth it!
● It is the top most point of nearby hills.
● You have to take 'Rope-way' to reach here, 180rs/person (both way)
● A lot of mini restaurants, game shops are there at Gun hill.
● You can enjoy telescopic view of the Queen of Hills.

Great place for sunset. Lost the vibe due to extreme commercialisation. Cable car price is high considering the short distance and not much views. Wish the place is maintained better. Closing time is not 6pm. Go near to sunset and find a place with good view. There are some cafes food places and shops. But none of it excited me.

This place is reachable through the cable car. The cable car is on the Mall Road just near the Indian flag post. They charge ₹220/- (includes going up and coming down). Cable car operates from morning 9:00 a.m. to night 9:00 p.m.
Once you go up there are lots of shops, mainly eatables and some small games. You can go to the actual venue on the top. At the venue, there are 4-5 telescopes. They charge ₹100/- to show around 10 places. Pay them and see even if you are not interested. They stay from morning to evening to show the places to people.
There is a path to climb after the gun point. Due to laying of water pipes, the path is damage. It is a trek with cement steps. Until it is sorted I would not recommend to go that path.
Kirthi T N — Google review
Even though it's the most easily reachable viewpoint, given the ropeway starting from Mall Road itself, the wait times were really bad. We had to wait 1 hour each on the way to there and the return. The view itself is pretty average you'd get at any hill station. Only good thing was that eating options are available here.
Since, it's right on the Mall Road, you can surely visit but don't except much.

Great view points on the top.
Awesome natural scenic beauty with the hills, valleys and clouds.
Must visit the telescope view point it is 3 way open and corner point with a great view.
One more thing it could be quite difficult and risky to climb the way to gun hill top with very steep and slippery slopes on the way. However it is worth it if you dare and want to have a good trekking experience, otherwise one can take the ropeway it's quite reasonable, quick and less exhausting with a different experience.

Personally, when I went to this point, it was filled with fog with hardly any visibility, so I just loved it. Though there are many souvenir, magic, games led shops but the small cable car ride was the star attraction. Good place to hang out for an hour but as we were a large group of 100+ pax, we waited for almost an hour for our turn to get in the cable car as it takes approx 5 mins for next round of cable car. Approx 6 to 7 people can be accommodated in 1 cabin.

This is a gorgeous view point. I just wish all the stalls etc were organised nicely to maximize the view points! The cafe and stalls are built quite haphazardly. That being said, the views are gorgeous! Misty hills and a sighting of the Himalayas! I walked in here not expecting to see the mighty mountains but we did! I totally recommend the telescope experience where 3 men will show you different viewpoints like the clock tower, the first English school, a small temple

My visit to Gun Hill Point in December with friends was an incredible experience that left us in awe of nature's beauty. The exhilarating trek to the top, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, and witnessing the majestic sunrise made it a morning to remember. Gun Hill Point is a must-visit destination for those seeking tranquility and stunning vistas.
The trek up to Gun Hill Point was an adventure in itself. The well-marked trail offered a moderate challenge, and as we ascended, we were rewarded with ever-expanding panoramic views. The surrounding hills, covered in a blanket of mist, added an ethereal touch to the journey. The crisp morning air and the sounds of nature further enhanced the trekking experience, making it a perfect opportunity for a refreshing morning walk.
Reaching the summit of Gun Hill Point was a moment of triumph. As the first rays of sunlight peeked over the horizon, the entire landscape was bathed in a warm golden glow. The sky transformed into a breathtaking palette of colors, painting a mesmerizing backdrop for the picturesque hills and valleys below. The view from Gun Hill Point was simply awe-inspiring, leaving us speechless and filled with a profound sense of serenity.
Apart from the stunning sunrise, the point itself offers a peaceful environment for visitors to unwind and soak in the natural beauty. The well-maintained area provides ample seating and vantage points for panoramic views. It's a perfect spot to relax, meditate, or simply appreciate the grandeur of the surroundings.
I would highly recommend visiting Gun Hill Point for a morning walk or sunrise excursion. It is a place that instills a sense of peace and rejuvenation, surrounded by nature's grandeur. Whether you are an avid trekker or simply seeking a tranquil escape, Gun Hill Point offers an unforgettable experience that showcases the beauty of the natural world.

The place is supposed to be a good view point from where we get a beautiful view of the mountains and valley, but the pathetic planning and commercialization has led to the place being fully surrounded by shops, leaving almost no space to get a view. There are better viewpoints on the way, before reaching the top.

It’s a nice and soothing place if you want to move away from crowd on Mussoorie Mall Road. You can take cable car from Mall Road which is 220 per head return trip. Make sure to teach gun hill by 4:30-5:00 to visit sunset.

Beautiful place. You will get to see the Gangotri, Yamunotri and Kedarnath ranges very clearly if you are lucky and the weather is clear. Apart from these you will also be able to see some historical places of significance using a telescope. The views are breathtaking. Please do visit if you get a chance.

This place has a gun smaller than what children play with and is not at all a place to visit. The cable car ride is the only good thing about this place.
When you reach the top it feels disappointing as all the best view spots are already taken over by useless shops that keep on irritating first by blocking all the views and secondly by keeping on insisting on visiting their shop.
Overall not a great place but mussoorie rarely has many viewable spots so if visiting mussoorie can try this.
PS: The waiting lines both at the bottom as well as on top may be a bit irritating and the cable ride also seems a bit on the expensive side only.

Gun Hill, situated in Mussoorie, fails to live up to expectations, making it a regrettable choice for travelers seeking an enjoyable experience. Accessible via a cable car ride that comes with a hefty price tag of around 400 rupees, the journey proves to be a waste of both money and time.
Indeed, for travelers seeking rewarding experiences in Mussoorie, there are numerous superior alternatives to Gun Hill. Destinations like Landor, Jharipani,Clouds end , and George Everest offer captivating landscapes and enriching activities without draining your wallet or leaving you disappointed. Embrace the natural beauty and historical significance of these locales, and bypass the disappointment of Gun Hill. Explore, discover, and savor the wonders of Mussoorie without falling prey to tourist traps.

Around 200-250 rs per person charge for cable trolley. It's a place for hill top view. Nothing specific but view is nice from hill top. Few local shops are set up there for food, to play games and to buy local handicrafts.
Nag Devta Temple is a sacred site located about 6 kilometers from the city center on the Mussoorie-Dehradun road in Uttarakhand, India. The temple is dedicated to Nag Devta, a devotee of Lord Shiva, and offers a beautiful view surrounded by clean mountain air and a serene atmosphere. It is recommended to visit during Naag Panchmi for an enriching experience.
Wonderful place but mind the road. Avoid visit during evening hours.

Beautiful temple dedicated to Nag Devta who was a devotee of Shiva. Away from the hustle and bustle of the main town. Quaint and peaceful, when we went there was no pandit ji. Has many temples within.

Could not enter the temple premises, as it was closed either following COVID protocols or the timing was not right. However the temple is located in a serene ambience at corner of a curve. It is visible even from the Cart road. Just afront the temple on the road is a hotel. The hotel has dining provisions along with clean toilet facilities. One has to park in front of the hotel and climb down the path, behind the hotel, to access the temple.

It is towards the kimadi side of Mussoorie, you would miss the turn towards the temple. As I did it’s slight left towards the actual road with an arch reading” pracheen nag devta mandir”. After entering the arch it’s barely 3-4km drive though it’s not a pakka road. Better avoid during monsoons as the place infamous for landslides. There is no place for not more than 10 cars as you can see the pictures attached. One can enjoy a nice walk from the starting point as soon as you take the turn or just trust your instincts and find a tight parking spot. It’s barely 700 m walk or trek however you say it. The temple is surrounded by two large meadows on either side where you can sit/meditate/relax. Along with the temple there’s a small house where the priest stays. It’s a 1-2 hr affair but a place worth visiting.
