Manny “MONNY” Bermuda — Google review
Perfect place to take your kids. Located in a big park with tons of other activities for the entire family. One of the very few nicely setup water parks in the country. Place is very new so lines are still very long and place gets very packed. Entrance is only 30 cords per person. Great facilities that hopefully can be maintained. Get there early to get the limited seats. Must visit!

The Santiago of Managua Cathedral, built in 1920 by a Belgian architect, is a neoclassical structure that suffered damage from an earthquake in 1972. Currently undergoing restoration, the exterior facade features stone angels and radiates golden light while the interior remains off-limits and empty. The cathedral is considered a poignant symbol of the city's lack of centralized focus.
Very old and historic church. Built on a tectonic plate so it will not be restored. Cool site to visit while in Managua.
Matthew Clouser Adventures — Google review
It is a beautiful cathedral, but falling apart and appears to be long ignored. It’s blocked off on some sides so you cannot see it, such as the angle from the National Palace.

Old dilapidated church that has not been touched for decades. All restorations have been limited to the outside and surrounding area as church is now to weak from several earthquakes and shellings during the war. More of a symbol of Managua you can see rather than experience. You can only see a glimpse of the inside.

It's OK to look at from the outside but it is very damaged and you can't go inside. I believe they have not fixed it since it was damaged in the earthquake in the early seventies. I wish they would fix it up and make it look really nice so tourists can see the beauty of the old cathedral in downtown Managua
The place is very nice, clean and stylish. The performances of the orchestra, bands and musicians are very good. I always enjoy going .

One of the jewels of old-modern Managua, it's a must go place when visiting Nicaragua.
Carl's Jr. Metrocentro is a popular fast food joint that offers an assortment of stacked burgers and meal combinations alongside delectable shakes. This eatery is renowned for its diverse menu, which features a range of burger options with generous portions. Additionally, customers can savor their meals with a selection of milkshakes in various flavors. Carl's Jr.
If you like hamburgers this is one of the best places in the country to get one. Tastes like a true American burger and has lots of toppings. Plus, it's one of the few places that offers free refills on drinks!
Terrance & Megan Taylor — Google review
The quality and quantity of Carl's burgers have decreased since the last time I visited. I started going to Carl's Jr when they first opened in Managua. My favorite burger was the Portobello burger with Angus beef. At that time I considered that the best burger in Nicaragua. Last week I went to the Metrocentro store and ordered the same thing. Prices have gone up, understandably. The menu no longer offers Angus beef. And when I ordered the Portobello burger I was asked if I wanted regular or large patty. I ordered the regular size. I got this skinny patty with miniscule pieces of mushroom. Very disappointing.

The food and service is excellent and Carl's Jr should be getting a 5 star review; They are the best burger place in Nicaragua!. But these parking people really know how to make you angry; The parking people wait until you parked and then they'll tell you that you have to park somewhere else; pointing in some random direction. And when you park there they will again tell you motorcycle parking is somewhere else;

The burguer does no have a strong flavor, like it's just meat with no spices or condiments. The rest is very good, the bread and fresh greens, the chocolate milkshake is delicious.

Gal Ronen — Google review
I was gonna go ahead and give them a good review. Buses were more or less on time, our luggage came with us, all good. The Ejecutivo price is a joke tho cause you're paying 10$ more for absolutely nothing. We stopped at a restaurant where we could buy our own food and drinks, but that's just not what the ticket promised. At the Nicaraguan border we had problems with customs and ended up getting left behind by our bus. Currently still waiting for the next one that's supposed to arrive pronto, 2 hours and counting! Hope we've made it when you're reading this 🙏
Ann Kristin Berge — Google review
Never again. Booked from Nicaragua to San Jose. They overbook their buses, people were sitting at our places, who had people sitting at their places. It's a complete mess. I had to sit on the floor next to the toilet. The bus driver wasn't willing to solve anything and said it's not his problem. The bus was also more than one hour late. Better go with public buses where you can chose the seat yourself if you come a bit earlier, pay less and maybe you will even be faster.
Maria Hamp — Google review
What is supposed to be the premium transport service in Nicaragua is just a screaming testament of how badly transport and administration is organized in this country. Online ticket purchase service doesn't work (we tried on PC, mobile, different browsers,.. nothing). Online support can't help, you need to go to Managua to buy the ticket. Ticket lines in Managua are painfully long and service slow. Service agents are clearly dissatisfied with their job and customer friendliness / information handling are sub zero. The day of departure, again a long line to 're-validate' the tickets...why??!! Upon entering the bus all seats had been re-arranged 😏. There's just zero information during the bus ride and the border transfer on anything. Don't get me wrong, I love this country...but transport/administration is the worst in all of Centro America and a giant pain in the A$$.

The worst customer service ever! The one Star should be a negative -5 Stars. The people that work at the Managua terminal must hate there job because they sure don't even like to answer questions. They took my money and didn't explain anything about the procedure of prechequeo on some web page which is faulty. They don't explain what to do so I missed my job interview for Monday the 18th in Guatemala. When I tried to ask for options the chat they have also hate to answer any questions, when I told them what my situation was they just brushed it off and said sorry. Then never responded or gave me options and blamed all on me for not knowing what to do. I tried calling and waited for hrs on end until someone in Costa Rica who was very nice answered and kinda gave me options, but said I would have to go back to Managua to get the new date. The plainly cared very little other than taking my money.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. TICA BUS MANAGUA is quite possibly the worst bus/travel experience I have ever had. (Managua-San Jose) booked a bus for the afternoon and waited over 5 hours. All of the staff members were telling me different times and are being extremely rude to my partner and I. We booked a more expensive bus ticket to splurge a little bit but we actually ended up getting the regular coach bus (whatever) but frustrating considering we paid double the price the bus was also supposed to provide food and beverages but that did not happen either. The bus stopped 2 times randomly on the side of the road for 30 min each time??? We arrived in San Jose at 3 am which was too late to check into our reservation.
Overall this was an exhausting and awful trip. I hate to leave a bad review and am not usually one to do so but this experience was one I want to warn other travellers about.

Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception
The Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is a religious site located in Managua, unique for its 63-dome architectural design. It evokes a sense of spiritual tranquility and divine protection, as it is considered the House of God. Regardless of one's location, visiting any House of God is always an enjoyable experience. The cathedral serves as the headquarters for Managua's archdiocese and is situated in the heart of the city, making it an ideal religious destination to visit.

Also this place used to go to the last years of the Schools to say farewell to graduation, that was in the 90s. Nowadays investments have been made, there are restaurants with ample parking, however, I consider that there should be more investment and promotion of water activities, hiking and picnics.

Very nice show that day. Quality on their presentations and a very nice feeling to the place.
Goldy 2014 — Google review
Awful experience. This used to be a theater that presented quality theater shows and provided quality theater education. But over the past five years the Rufino Garay theater has lost in terms of quality. I no longer recommend this place. The administration makes students pay for their own presentations and seems more interested in nickle and diming their own professors and students than in the type of theatrical education they put forward. Hence, their students graduate lacking basic skills for directing a theatrical performance. I have yet to find a good theatrical performance culture in Managua but I do believe good actors and good theater education has the potential to enrich Nicaraguan culture. But for now, Rufino Garay is no longer the place of reference in matters of cutting edge theater.

I just have to criticize the Teater specifically, because everybody in this place is very nice since you arrived the place, you can feel just good vibes full of energy and the shows generally are very cool. 😎
Ok and returning to the criticize, Is about the seats 💺 in the Master room, there are to small and you are practically sharing your elbows with the ribs of your neighbor, that’s it the chairs are to small and stay to close and not just one side by side I mean, you feel the heads of the person in front of you to. 🤦🏿♂️
And that’s why I give you 4 stars instead 5, but I think you can correct that and just improve, so go ahead 🦾
