Starbucks is a coffee chain based in Seattle that offers its signature roasts, light bites, and WiFi services. The establishment is known for having friendly baristas who serve their amazing coffee drinks such as the White Chocolate Mocha. Additionally, the location is noted for being clean and speckless. Although it's a great place to sip and chill out, if you are seeking quiet surroundings to work on something important then other options may be more suitable.
Great coffee, and a nice selection of frappes, chocolates drinks, teas, juices and so on.
Great food, cakes from slices to whole cakes are available. Other pastries are also available and the hospitable staff would happily serve you.
Nice vibe. Often crowded due to the nice ambience. A great place to enjoy your time for a quick bite, or a coffee, alone or with friends to chat. Also its a popular hangout for students, usually colleges, and professionals working nearby.

5/5 Dirty Matcha HOT but a word of caution, the caffeine is strong.

I don't know why but most of the baristas from this branch are unapproachable, it feels like it's too much work talking to them. Maybe it's the air-conditioned inside the shop. I prefer going to SM Downtown Starbucks they have nicer baristas and the place is wider compared to this one.

Outstanding service from Geeta Chamoli and Ritu.
They were warm, inviting, friendly and while the coffee was certainly good, their hospitality was out of this world.
Will keep returning to Starbucks Centrio Mall for this wonderful experience!

Good service from the staff, very accommodating and friendly. Laging puno especially in the afternoon. If you plan to study here it's better if you come early. On the other hand, coffee beans displayed are limited if you plan to buy beans here. Overall, SB Centrio is a go-to sb branch if you are in a hurry since nasa mall lang siya (if you are a commuter like me 😊) 💯

Mapawa Nature Park is an ideal spot for outdoor enthusiasts as it offers various activities such as swimming in natural pools and waterfall-hopping. One of the main attractions is the Mintugsuk Falls, which can be reached through a challenging trek along the Dao trail. The route to the falls takes visitors past multiple other waterfalls and requires approximately 3 hours round-trip with a distance of roughly 8 km.
Experienced nature with a little bit of adventure and thrill. Cold and clear water.
Mariane Harnaez — Google review
Great park, access fee 70php per head, we took a grab there from the city for 300php and it only took us 30 minutes to get here. You can do different things like the canyoneering tour for 1350 per head with minimum of 5 people or zip line for 170php.we chose to not take any guide and just hike down the water trail ourselves, this is not recommended for beginners. You won't be able to go all the way to the waterfall yourself, somewhere near the end you need to take an exit to your left to reach the road to the falls. The falls are definitely worth it, and during dry times it's a doable trip even without water clothing, we managed to get there dry. From there you can either walk back or walk further to sky lounge what we did, also something kot recommended for beginners

We had our Company Team Building here. We availed the River Trek and Canyoneering Package which is Php1,200 per person. I can say, it was well organized. When we got to the park, we were assisted immediately and briefed about the activities. Reservation is a must for you to be assisted accordingly.
The activities are fun and worth it. The guides are kind and very accommodating as well. You'll leave the park smiling, for sure. #StoneDepotCDO

this is a very good place to trek, been here multiple times and i usually trek in the Dao trail to get to Mintugsuk falls, swim there then trek upstream, you'll pass through multiple falls, more or less 8 falls and then go back to the Dao trail and trek back to the park, the trek is not that easy though, you have to walk approximately 4 km to the falls and more than 4 km back, when you hunt for falls, more or less it's a 3 hr trek max, back ang forth. but the view is worth it, I'd even go as far as saying that it is heaven on earth.

A place to go to recharge your energy from mother nature where you can feel fresh air heals your stressful city life. This place is close to the city, only few minutes away to reach by car or even motor cycle. There are many ways to enjoy this place like river trekking, horseback riding, running, camping or even mountain climbing.

Today Mapawa Nature Park is my only activity. Help a clean up drive with a lot of participants. We got a chance to roam around the area. Groups made up 21 km, 10 km and 5 km. There is no much garbage like plastic, bottles or celopin although find some. The views of hills around the place is breathtaking. It help relieved our tiredness. The staff is accommodating and friendly. The owner generously rewarded everyone with a free swim in the pool. We rested in the area with nipa huts and a foot bridge above. A view of water cascading from the steam. A fresh place to relax from a hot walk or from the city. We walk to the playground suitable for adult and children with trees around. So green and comfortable. Free camping is allowed too if you bring a tent. They have also a horse back riding, a water adventure, free fall and falls hopping. From reception area to migtugsok falls it takes an hour hike. The walk is worth it there is a lot of falls to roam following the river stream. There is 5 or 8 of them, I lost my count. Because we just enjoy the place have our lunch, play cards and chill. In all we have a great time. That is why Im giving 5 stars. Thanks much to the staff and most especially to the generous heart of the owner our appreciation beyond words.

The Museo de Oro, located on the campus of Xavier University in Mindanao, is the second oldest museum in the region. Its collection boasts displays of archaeology and ethnology artifacts. While its section on Philippine history is limited, the exhibits featuring indigenous peoples of Mindanao are a must-see. The art displayed serves as a testament to regional artists' wealth and creativity.
Wow, what an amazing place to learn about the peoples of Mindanao. There are two halls that discuss this subject. The first goes through the history of Mindanao with an emphasis on the Spain's and America's arrival and the revolt with local folk heroes. The second hall is devoted to the anthropology of Mindanao. It is fascinating to see how the different tribes made a living and dressed. Definitely worth spending time for anyone who is fascinated by the rich history and culture of Mindanao. NOTE: Museo de Oro is located on Xavier University and can only be accessed by the main gate of Xavier University and no flash photography.

This is the second oldest museum in all of Mindanao. I'm hugely surprised at how vast their collection is. While the section on the history of the Philippines is quite limited, the best, must-see feature of the gallery are the exhibits on the indigenous peoples of Mindanao, and their visual art displays are a testament to the wealth and creativity of artists in the region. The overload of beauty and artistry just gives you so much pride as a Mindanaoan.

Walked over from our hotel in the heat only to find out that they were closed according to the security guards. They do not respond to online messages and is accessible through the school, therefore, dress code is enforced. I was turned away because my shorts were “too short”. They need to be up to 3” above the knees. The museum needs to post their exact hours, closures due to events, and dress codes online instead of guests trying to look for these information. Not worth the hassle.

Everything were nice! There are three museums inside. The Ethnology of Mindanao, Ethnohistory of Northern Mindanao and the other one is about feminism. There is entrance fee by the way, 50php for students - just present your id and 70php for non students. Overall. It was worth the penny. You have to see it for yourself. Plus AC there was a beast. 😂 make sure to bring anti cold wear while inside.

Limketkai Center is a vast shopping complex with over 400 stores, services, and dining options, including two supermarkets and a cinema. The mall is popular among children who find it enjoyable due to the presence of a playhouse. The location of the mall adjacent to other shops is convenient. However, some stores inside the complex remain closed due to the ongoing pandemic. Despite this setback, visitors have found the temperature inside pleasant during their visits.
My kids like this place. They really have so much FUN! Good thing about this that mall is near to other shops too. I find this place clean when we go that day, we are fortunate that there is an event. However a lot of the stores inside is closed. I think this is the effect of pandemic. Ranil Porciuncula — Google review
I was told that it used to be a popular destination for people. However, when I got there, the mall had dark lighting, empty stalls and badly maintained areas. The former food court is now an empty area with almost no tables and chairs and very dark. There are unique shops like one that caters to collectible toys. The location is ideal since it is close to a condominium building and a college. It is now a testament of what the COVID-19 lockdown did to businesses that are not prepared to handle the situation.

SM City is the nearest mall coming from our place of Talakag, Bukidnon, where me and my family usually go to. Regular mall activities have been a source of entertainment which also allows little children to participate on events.
I see a lot of potential for growth since most of employees I've noticed were very young. They could train and add more staffs/cashiers on the supermarket (including on the bread section) as people tend to pile up on cashier sections specially on peak hours. Whether you would like to visit to shop or relax like grab a cup of coffee, this would be a very good place to refresh from a long or short trip...

City Museum of Cagayan de Oro and Heritage Studies Center
The City Museum of Cagayan de Oro and Heritage Studies Center is a historical site housed in a former water tower built in 1922. Despite being underfunded, it's the oldest remaining building in the area and survived WW2 bombing. The museum opened its doors in 2010 after converting from its original use as a water tower for the fire brigade. While small, it houses an interesting collection of artifacts, including a priceless Ming dynasty pottery fragment.
One of the must visit place around CDO. You can find everything you need to know about their history inside of an old concrete water tank that was turned into museum.
Teddy Bulate — Google review
When we visited, they were under renovation so there is not much to see but they did warmly welcomed us and still let us come in. Drop by when you are in town most especially if you are into history.

CITY MUSEUM OF CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY
(from water tank to a city museum)
Originally it was used as a water tank/reservoir for the municipality of the old Cagayan de Misamis, this infrastructure was constructed in 1921 when the water source of Cagayan de Oro was still coming from Malasag. In the late 1950s, NAWASA (National Waterworks and Sewerage Authority) took over the water system and stopped using the water tower. Thus, the cylindrical building was abandoned until then-Mayor Constantino Jaraula came up with the idea of renovating the tank and making it the city’s museum in 2008.
The city’s physical representation of its spirit, the river, makes it a fitting repository of the city’s museum and in effect, its history.
The water tower survived World War II bomb attacks and this paved the way for the city council to name it as the oldest structure standing in CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY.
The role and importance of this City Museum in the history of Cagayan de Oro City is so much incredible and wonderful. As I wrote above, it was once a water tank tower — where the water source are came from malasag, not until NAWASA (National Waterworks and Sewerage Authority) took over and stop the water tank from functioning. By this it just resembles the happenings in the past. This tower proof that there are history to tell in this generation to preserve and remember until next generations.
The importance of studying our own local history and preserving local cultural heritage is just as important as knowing the whole historical story of our country. A super and informative place. But clearly underfunded. This is the oldest remaining building in all of Cagayan de Oro. Incredibly it survived the bombing during WW2. Originally the water tower for the fire brigade this jewel of a structure was convertede into a museum in 2008 and reopened in 2010.
This is a great place to visit if your time is limited as it it comparatively small and houses only a small collection of fascinating artifacts. 4 stars were it not for the excellent tour. Highly recommended. Do not miss the Ming dynasty pottery fragment. Priceless!

I like here because its free and plenty of pictures about Cagayans past, but it's kinda small and need of improvement

When my friend and I got in here, we were the only guest in the museum. The fee is only about Php 50 or $1 more or less.
Pelaez Sports Center is a popular spot among locals in Cagayan de Oro, offering a variety of sports and activities for visitors. It's an ideal place to engage in physical fitness with friends, whether it's walking, jogging, swimming, or playing football and basketball. While the facility is well-suited for sports activities and exercise enthusiasts, some areas like the track and field could use better maintenance. Despite this, it remains a go-to destination for health-conscious individuals looking to stay active.
Best place to come and work out for a few pesos entry fee.
Basketball, volleyball, soccer and a beautiful track to run a few miles.

It has courts for basketball, volleyball, badminton. 800m oval and a football field in the middle. Open 5AM to 10PM
Lowed P (Lowed) — Google review
In 2022 they asked for a fee of P15 for drop off. Then another P10 for oval entrance. Would've been nice if they took care of the place with all that entrance fee. And the pool too. My son goes for soccer, but I have to take my daughter to a subdivision 30minutes away to swim on a big pool. When it rains, they wont allow soccer only baseball.
If they fixed it, it would be easier for families to stay in one place for extra curriculars..

It is not like it used to be, I hope that they will restore its beauty. It's a good place to jog though and play some sports such as volleyball, badminton, football, and badminton. There is a little park with swing for kids as well.

The place is good for sports activities. A lot of people doing exercise of different sports. However the track and field (oval) is poorly maintained. Some parts of the rubberized track has come off. The football field is utelized for other sports as well. Some days it is crowded but mostly in week days it is not. I recommend the place for health conscious people to do their exercise.

First time taking a walk to here from Seda Hotel which is nearby. It is a Saturday but no sports event apart from some groups practicing. I gained access easily from the adjacent street and began a 4-km walk workout. Suggest to go here around 6 to 7 am as it was already hot when i arrived at 9 am. I did a one hour heat training as this planet really is growing hotter by the year.

Big place for exercises and ample parking space. Price was inexpensive- 10 pesos entrance, 15 pesos for jogging. Can do swimming, football, basketball, stretching, etc. Though stadium seats area was dirty and unmaintained, generally for physical health, the sports center is good. Opens at 6am, closes at 7pm. 3 stars

Worked there as medical staff. Ever since goverment took over, anywhere you go there is a fee (entrance, parking, cr, ect.)and no proper maintenance and you can't always park your vehicle because government vehicles always hogging all the parking spaces. No wonder no medical staff wants to stay there for long.

Gaston Park is a compact public square that doubles as a memorial to the Philippine-American War. The park houses several vendors and amenities, including a central fountain that adds to its charm. The site has historical significance due to the war, which lasted from 1899-1902 and resulted in thousands of casualties on both sides. Despite its small size, Gaston Park offers visitors an opportunity to learn about this critical period in history while enjoying the park's peaceful environment.
I can say this place nowadays was really good for family and children.
Why I say that? cause I went there many times
Specially night time the lights are great fresh air, people seems enjoying sitting and talking while watching the fountain water plays with sounds, we went there like almost Xmas time.
Really fun.

A park in the heart of the city, both locals and tourists can hangout here. It's your landmark if you want to visit the church, museum, memorial wall, municipal hall, etc. The park is clean and has lots of benches. The landscaped trees adds to the relaxing vibes.

It makes me happy to see some cities preserve local parks like this. In my hometown, they turned all historical parks into malls so visiting parks in CDO was a breath of fresh air.
By visiting this park, you get to explore the city hall, a nearby school, the church, a souvenir shop and the city museum. It gives you an idea of the history and life of the city.
The place is clean and there were amazing local photographers too! I hope we continue supporting them. I also hope the museum was open on weekends so tourists like me can visit it too.

It is very lively place since sem break is coming. Many teenagers like me wander around her in awe to see the majestic beauty of park. Nighttime is the best yoi visit here because the surrounding would be lit up by colorful lights. There are street vendors at the side so whenever you get hungry, you could stop and eat here. A church is also nearby at this park. This is also where you can get a ride to go to "Paseo"(LDCU) via motoreela.

Gaston Park in Cagayan de Oro is a delightful urban oasis that captures the city's charm beautifully. Nestled at the heart of the bustling downtown area, this park offers a serene escape from the city buzz. The lush greenery, well-maintained gardens, and vibrant flowers create a picturesque setting, perfect for a leisurely stroll or a peaceful moment amidst nature. Visitors can enjoy the natural scenery while engaging in physical activity or contemplating the different memorials present within the park's bounds.
AKA McArthur Park and beside it is a local government office building of the Provincial Capitol Misamis Oriental.
The fascinating mini-forest park is sometimes packed with people who are simply lounging around to groups of students looking for the perfect spot practicing their dance routine. There's a daily zumba in the morning where fitness enthusiasts can join and tip the instructor with a very minimal amount.
On a Monday, the Provincial Capitol employees hold their flag ceremony at the park. This park is also the venue for display of the wide variety of crops from the local farm at an affordable price during a particular announced event in the city.

I am super late for the Provincial Capitol of Misamis Oriental's Christmas Lighting Event. The lights were spectacular.
Nonetheless, visitors must be mindful in adhering to the minimum public health standards while in the area. There is a risk of being a lil' crowded.
P.S. the place is an open area.

Quite and peaceful in dawn. Very intertaining view
A good place to have staycation. The bed is really comfortable. The lighting was okay. There was hot and cold shower. The only problem is that there was an intermittent interruption on the water flow coming out the shower. And also there was no outlet near the work table. There is a lot of establishment at the lower levels of the building. Staff is great and can speak Tagalog.

Went on a day trip to see the recently reopened resort. I'm impressed by how it well-staffed and highly regulated. There's also a Lifeguard on duty as well as other staff nearby. Ambiance is foresty and cool but relatively warmer towards noontime.
The only setback is that it gets more crowd between 10am and 3 pm. They also have scheduled days of cleanup.
I didn't get to explore much in terms of food availability in the resort itself but there are nearby street food and barbecue hubs just outside the gates. I think parking accessibility, affordability, and wide open spaces makes a big win for this recently reopened resort. It may not be as accessible to downtown city dwellers as it requires some travel but for the price of 50 for an entrance as of thus writing, I think it's worth it.
I mat also avail the swimming lessons for a fee in the resort as there are professional swimming coaches available in the resort itself.
It's highly accessible to the public so manage your expectations if you're seeing different set of crowds. I don't mind it so it's fine with me. It's also highly regulated to prohibit spitting everywhere. There are cottages in the area. Okay, so comfort rooms, changing rooms and shower rooms do need some improvement. Out of the four rooms, there are about two that needs fixing.
Relatively the experience at Kagay-an resort was well worth the money. They say the water is flowing but I didn't get to see the outlets. Perhaps I'm missing something, correct me if I was wrong.
At guys, in general I'll give it a 4 stars due to the affordability. I'll update this with photos and videos tomorrow

I have been here for quiet several times(but always forget to take photos as I enjoy the pool right away😅). I like this pool facility very much because there are variety of depth, separately. It is a wide pool area. Since I am no tall, I could confidently swim in the depth I best fit. The area in general is clean. I encountered one of of their dedicated staff which I found so accommodating when I was looking for a toilet. She explained to me well my queries about the place. They have access of dishwashing area, shower, toilets. They have cottages in diffrent sizes and fees. I also found the pool as safe as I could find several lifeguards in the viccinity and they are attentive. The pool is also clean in general, except that of 2 feet depth where there are many kids enjoying. It is also better to bring your own food as there seems to be no store to buy food in the area.
Situated in Barangay F.S. Catanico is a petite cascading waterfall enveloped by volcanic rock boulders, known as the Catanico Falls. Previously secluded without access to electricity, clean water, or public transportation, the local government has now developed the vicinity near the falls with rentable picnic shelters, basic restroom facilities, and an observation area atop a massive rock. Additionally, another must-visit destination in Cagayan De Oro is the captivating Catanico Falls.

Just be careful walking because it’s a bit slippery. Attention Philippine Tourism Authority they need your support not maintained well. Still, this waterfall collects NO entrance fee for tourists (which explains its slimy improvement) Nevertheless, I could say it’s still the best waterfall in the City of Cagayan De Oro with its breathtaking magical beauty. Hope you could visit here too. A great place for adventure, leisure, and refreshment.

Pool-the water and ambience were nice!
Food- tastes good! Service needs improvement though. It's not satisfying to know that 10% and another 12% for VAT & Service fee are included in the prices when we were not given proper assistance. The waiter suddenly shouted to somebody near the exit to the beach to start a 5 minute conversation while I was in the middle of telling him our orders. There is no service water offered while waiting for the foods to be served and there were no basic condiments on the table.

The place looks nice but old or worn out on some parts. It is secure and peaceful and does not feel crowded on regular days. Other than the beach, they have a pool too which is kind of nice.
