Giza Necropolis, a renowned archaeological site known for its iconic Great Pyramids and other ruins such as the Great Sphinx, is located in Giza, Egypt. Visitors can indulge in various activities including renting ATVs, horses or camels to explore the vast area and experience breathtaking views. The site also offers limited tickets for visitors to explore the interiors of pyramids. Additionally, one can visit the solar boat used by dead pharaohs and walk around three main pyramids along with the Sphinx.
It is one of the best places to visit when you come to Egypt. The pyramids are one of the seven wonders of the world, there you can do a lot of things such as horse or camel rides, take souvenir photos and buy some gifts for your friends. You can also enter inside the pyramid and visit the king's tomb, which contains the king's sarcophagus and his golden collectibles

One of the world 7 wonders. A must to visit. Amazing civilization. Better plan your visit in advance, so as to enjoy properly. You can do your own tour, our with a guide. Make sure you choose a reliable tour agency. Be careful with food, specially meat. Read about it ( history) before you visit, make sure you have the proper gear, clothes, shoes, sunglasses, hats , camera accessories. Practically you need a whole day. Still worth it. Enjoy.

It is best to book this via tour guide. Otherwise, you will be stuck. Please avoid the street sellers in this area and keep your camers to yourself. We visited in June 23 so the weather was hot, although we didn't go inside but it is not recommended either.

This is why we traveled to Egypt from America. Seeing the pyramids in person was breathtaking. We arrived early and did the additional inside pyramid tour. Don’t recommend going inside if you’re really claustrophobic, but it is an incredible experience. It's really neat to think how these were built and when you look at how precise the blocks were placed you will definitely have questions!
There's a lot of people trying to sell you stuff around the pyramid complex and ask you for money so that gets annoying, but if you go with a group you will be a little better.
Tip for foreign travelers:
If you have a professional camera make sure to leave it with your tour guide or a group member that you trust before you go inside the pyramid.
There was a guy sitting outside the entrance that demanded everyone leave their expensive professional cameras with him as he wouldn't allow them inside. There was a massive pile of expensive cameras just sitting out in the open right before the entrance. Who was this guy? I have no clue. If you didn't have your ticket when you got back then he would keep your camera. He also demanded money to retrieve your camera when you got back out. Big scam!

Outstanding example of Egypt; iconic. Most visited attraction in Africa. Quite extraordinary and awe inspiring. It's better to take a long trip on horseback to get stunning panoramic views. It is generally crowded but a must see destination in Egypt. There are admission tickets in addition to charges for guide and horse. I encourage you to carry a water bottle and wear a hat to protect you from hot sun.

Worth a visit to this wonder of the world! The pyramids are the testimony of great pharaohs culture and traditions. The magnificent Pyramids are a treat to witness physically. They have stood the test of time, they make us realise how infinitesimal we are, in front of geological time, the pyramids also are the testimony of royalty of Kings and the hard work of the people who transformed an idea into reality.A must visit, wonder of the world.

This is the most worth visiting place in Egypt. That awe you get when you see the pyramids up close... camel rides, horse rides also recommended to try! Careful again with the prices. Everything can be negotiated!

How amazing is it to see the great pyramids, once in your life! You can go inside - for an extra fee - or sit on top of it, which was a nice surprise! There are also camels you can ride - which I suggest to do in the dessert facing the pyramids, so you can see them all!

The pyramids are beautiful, but they are flawed by the large number of beggars, the lack of organization and exploitation by the organizers, the abundance of dirt, and the smells of waste spread everywhere. I do not recommend visiting them without wearing a mask and taking care of the abundance of sauce

The Giza Necropolis is a must visit if you are ever in Egypt. Tickets are very reasonably priced and easy to buy at location. Be careful there are several people who try to sell souvenirs for a very high price so don’t fall for their tricks.
If you are visiting in the summer, I highly suggest bringing ur own vehicle as it makes it very easy to visit each of the pyramids as well as the sphinx. The winter on the other hand when the weather is colder makes it very easily walkable.
There are 2 high quality restaurants on the premises (Lounge 9 and, Khufu). I highly recommend Khufu due to its high quality breakfast and stunning views.
There are 2 panoramic view points allowing you to capture stunning pictures of the pyramids in a line. Be aware if you are bringing a camera with a lens, you will not be permitted to take it into the actual pyramids as it is prohibited. However, photos from the outside are allowed.
Also, don’t forget to visit the sphinx at no extra cost. You get free access to the temple and close pictures of the old structure.

If you are one of the people who loves very ancient archaeological places, especially the ancient Egyptian civilization, this is the place where you will be stunned by the abundance of astonishment from the high architecture and the huge sizes such as the Sphinx and how the pyramids were built and these large stones were also transported. I hope that the area surrounding the pyramids will be developed and trees will be planted or a place to sit and enjoy these views

What can you say about visiting the Pyramids? It’s an absolute that should be on your list of places to visit in your lifetime!
First, it is obviously a very busy place most of the time, so do yourself a huge favor and get there when the gates open to beat the crowds that pour out of the tons of buses that start to arrive at opening or a little later.
Also, when you arrive, go directly to the Great Pyramid to look inside. It is a tough walk up to the sarcophagus room along narrow walkways, stairs, and a short tunnel. It is hot inside and it’s a strenuous walk, but worth it. We saw almost nobody in the Great Pyramid at a little after 8 AM, so it was great for us. It would be really terrible having to fight a crowd to see it!
Be sure to see everything here, including walking around the other pyramids, taking a look at the Sphinx, and going over to the panoramic view area to get some photos.
There are lots of vendors here, and some can be a little pesky.
Also, there are tons of camel rides available either at the pyramids or at the panoramic view point area.
Plan on at least half a day to spend here, but spend the entire day if you can.
Take plenty of water, and wear some sunscreen and a hat.

We went there a few months ago and it was very good, but now the war is very close, so tourism has dropped a lot. The guide told us that it went from 10,000 people a day to 700. It is a difficult time for them and unfortunately the only place to go is to the pyramids.

This is a microcosm of Egypt. Fascinating, incredible and mesmerising: but also hot, not very well designed for a tourist experience, and you will need to be prepared to be pestered endlessly. Every man and his camel is there to ask you for something, which makes enjoying the experience oh so much more difficult. I actually would prefer to pay twice as much on the way in, and have no peddlers with a few well kept camels you can queue to have pictures with. Oh, a toilet and some shade wouldn’t go amiss 😅
All in all though - it’s a must see - a wonder if the world after all.

Very beautiful historical site, the famous Pyramids of Giza are truly beautiful and such an architectural wonder, please note that it’s very hot during the day so be prepared, and the area are full of scammers as well, personally i would advise to not go for animal rides as they’re expensive to me and not that worthy, but it’s up to you after all, overall really cool place to see.

An unforgettable experience ! A dream come true. A must see, at least once in your life. It was very hot, but it was worth it. We climbed the pyramid of Cheops, the largest of all, it was incredible. Not as bad as you see on YouTube reviews. The place is completely safe and secure with Tourism police all around. Nobody will bother you at all. However, if you want to shop, bargain for fair prices. Pyramids is one of the seven wonders of the world, and is one of the greatest puzzles in the world in terms of the way it is built, and beauty, and the splendor of things within them.
As it is built in a distinctive engineering manner, and at a time did not have the mechanisms and modern equipment as now which is considered a miracle.
And has gained great fame among millions of people throughout the ages, so it has been classified as the most beautiful tourist areas in Egypt,
The Great Pyramid of Giza is the largest among the pyramids in Egypt and is part of a larger complex that also includes temples and other ancient artifacts. This structure has been considered as one of the remaining wonders of the ancient world, with its impeccable geometry, enormous size, and striking shape raising questions on how it was built and why. Research has revealed that it was constructed by tens-of-thousands-strong teams of workers under pharaohs' orders to serve as tombs.
Its the greatest wonder of the world. So far nobody has been able to establish as to how these were made. Its a MUST visit tourist location. Its simply amazing, specially if you manage to go inside and take pics. Souvenirs are also available there, must bargain for lowest price.

Agree with everything that has already been said. The last wonder of the ancient world, sureal. We arrived at about 11.30 am and it was not overcrowded. We didn't go inside, but to see them and soak up the atmosphere was more than enough. Took a camel ride, and the photographer took some really great photos. Then we went to the sphinx. It's definitely a bucket list not to be missed.

Incredible. A must visit place. If possible, try to walk the entire stretch from the entry to the panorama view spot ( approx. 2.6Km one side ) to soak in the beauty of pyramids.
Reached there early morning. Gates opened at 8am. At 10.15am i returned to the gate after a ~6Km walk.

Sublime place, very interesting place with amazing history and mystery’s of Pyramids!
This amazing experience was completely ruined by all the local people that are constantly trying to take your money.
We got in at around 8 am, after we got our tickets at the office. Right after we crossed the gates, one of the locals approached us and told us that he works for the government ( showed us some ID, which was BS). We knew about his type of stuff and yet, he told us that he needs to explained to us where to go, after couple of min him telling us about things the insisted on taking our photo and then demanded a TIP.
After that we got scammed once again by rude on camels, the person said 100 each, afterwards he wanted 1200 each. We were able to get him down to 800 Egypt pound. It is not about the money, it’s about the way it’s done, I and my wife felt very USED!
My tip is this, when you go there just tell anyone that approaches you that you already did the ride on the camels and you don’t have any more money left. As soon as they hear that one of their buddies took your money, they believe it and live you alone.
Once again, the Pyramids are an excellent place with very deep history!
However, locals and the expectation of tipping EVERYONE AND EVERYWHERE made our trip to Egypt our fort and last time.
This is very unfortunate, I wish Egyptian government would do something about this.

Such a spectacular site, well worth a visit to this incredible historic place. The Pyramids are awesome. It is worth going inside the great pyramid, although there is just an empty sarcophagus in the chamber, the clamber through the tiny tunnel to reach it is fun and worth it. We rarely take a guide but for this it is the best thing to do, a guide will save you time and bring it alive with their knowledge. FANTASTIC!

The Great Pyramid of Giza is an awe-inspiring sight and a true wonder of the world. It's hard to believe that it was built over 4,500 years ago🥰🥰
One of the best tourist attractions of the world. The experience could be better tough if there were investments to make it easier and more sustainable going from one pyramid to the other. Always nice to visit world heritage sites and one of wonders of the world. You can get a camel ride to get a view but try to arrange a price prior to getting on the camel. It's the freaking pyramids... they are amazing and a global icon of ancient history and travel. Most of all, being inside the pyramid was absolutely amazing. This was a real trip of a lifetime🙏🙏

Totally worth it! It was an amazing experience. Even if I saw millions of photos of them, being there was as great as I expected. It's such an amazing experience to just be there, see them with your own eyes and touch them, this treasures made 5000 years ago. Just WoW! The great pyramid is huge and humbling. But the site is a bit chaotic and I assume difficult to navigate without a guide as there are basically hustlers on every inch and nothing is marked and there are no official trails or tracks. This site could be organized so much better. There is one free small pyramid you can enter, the big one is extra cost and quite expensive. The view point where you can see and photograph all pyramids is not accessible by foot, you have to take a horse or a camel, which is very expensive. The camels looked well taken care of, but in January was not hot so maybe think again if you want to ride an animal in summer months. Would recommend winter for visiting, it was not crowded and it was chilly and windy, not hot at all.

In December I visited the pyramids in Egypt. The weather was very nice and they were crowded with tourists from all over the world. I climbed from the inside through very narrow passages to the top of the Great Pyramid, the Pyramid of Khufu, where there is a tomb of King Khufu is located , but it was empty. I enjoyed this adventure. I also visited the Sphinx and the buildings surrounding it and enjoyed riding a camel. I was enjoyable this visited and I bought some souvenirs for memory , I recommend.

We arrived at the entry by the great pyramid at 8.30 and it was not very crowded. Entry to tombs of the Pyramid costs extra 1800 Egyptian dollars but recommended if you're not claustrophobic and have good knees as you need to crawl and duck in a few sections.

The imposing 4500-year-old Great Sphinx of Giza is more than just a monolithic sculpture: it's also the only surviving example of a legendary creature with a human face on its body, and one of the world's most famous tourist attractions. Completed in circa 2500 BC, the colossal statue stands 76 feet high (23 meters) and is estimated to have weighed around 152 tons (339 metric tons).
Standing so close to the Great Sphinx of Giza is breathtaking. Amazing to finally see the Sphinx after reading about Egyptian history in our school books.

Go and see this ancient wonder while it still stands. Over 4,000 years old and one of the very few links left to the old world. It was a bit smaller than I anticipated and it's face has seen better days, but what an amazing structure for it's time (especially as it was completely cut and shaped from the bedrock), and with the awesome backdrop of the Great Pyramid in proximity, it is something you should see once in your life. Some free advice - just ignore the sellers and the camel guys. They would steal the eye out of your head if given the chance. They always start by asking "where are you from my friend?" A friendly old guy with a camel tried to remove the ring from my partners finger during a handshake he initiated. I confronted him and he walked off sneering in Arabic. The mask slipped there. Absolute scumbag. The radar was on for the rest of the day after that. This didn't take away from what a special site this is.

Watch out for the local sellers who can easily take your hard earned cash, and be a bit careful as it can get very busy.
Make sure you go through the Mummification Temple on your way to the Great Sphinx as this was where all the grim stuff happened which preserved the bodies for 1000’s years.

The Great Sphinx of Giza is a must-see for any visitor to Egypt. Its sheer size and age are awe-inspiring. Standing at 73.5 meters long, 6 meters wide, and 20 meters high, it's a marvel of ancient engineering.
It's amazing to see how well-preserved it is, especially considering the relentless desert sands. Thankfully, the excavation of the Sphinx's paws has revealed even more of this incredible monument.
This is a place that truly makes you contemplate history and the civilizations that came before us. Don't miss it!

Its colossal size and enigmatic expression draw visitors from around the globe, inviting them to ponder its significance in Egypt's storied history. Despite the wear of centuries, the Sphinx maintains an air of grandeur, captivating all who behold it. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or a curious explorer, a visit to the Great Sphinx is an unforgettable journey into the heart of Egypt's ancient allure.

I was on an organized tour, so we were guided through a temple that ended at the Sphinx. We had free time to explore on our own. All I can say is MAGNIFICENT. I had never been that close to it or seen the back of it
I saw people going into it. On my next visit, I will get a ticket to go inside. While I was standing in awe of the Sphinx, a man wearing a necklace ID offered to take a picture and asked for my phone. I said, "No, thank you." I was aiming my phone to take a picture when he tried to take the phone out of my hands. It was more like a tug and not a forceful grab. Security was already moving in because he was standing too close to me. I held onto my phone. I want to stress that I did not feel unsafe, I do believe he only wanted to use my phone to take a picture of me. I did not want a photo, and I didn't want to pay a tip. Nothing is free. Please be aware of your surroundings, but know this, I felt safe everywhere I went.

After visiting the pyramids we had a short drive, to get to the sphinx. The to let to visit the Giza pyramids complex included the visit to the sphinx. We crossed through an open temple, to get closer to the monument. We didn’t go inside. We were in a group, and that was not an option. We stayed there for maybe an hour. It is something that you have to see with your own eyes. It’s unbelievable even when you are there. I imagined getting closer to it, but we didn’t get that close. It seems that touching is not allowed. It’s a majestic limestone sculpture, even from far away it’s hard to imagine how they were able to make it out of a solid block of stone.

During my visit to the pyramids in the same location there is the Great Sphinx, only a 5-minutes walk away, It is carved out of rock and next to it there is a building with pharaonic statues. One of these statues is the person who supervised the implementation of the work and next to the Sphinx there are shops that sell souvenirs.I recommend.

The monument is amazing, and I got to share the experience with my colleagues, thereby making it all the more special! I was relieved that the vendors largely left those who were not interested in buying anything alone. The only thing that would have made it even better would be if we could have seen the Sphinx from other angles.

Just like the nearby pyramids, to be able to stand in front of this world famous piece of human history is amazing.
The picture opportunities are plentiful and with the right tour guide, no one bothers you. We went on a Saturday, which was not that busy at all.

Standing in the presence of this structure rendered me speechless, it was a super surreal experience and I will always remember the moments walking up and staring at it. It’s truly a wonder and the history behind came to be is just as perplexing. The Temple of Khafre which is sits next to, we were told that it could have been used for the mummification practices that were a thing back in those times. I loved ALL THINGS EGYPT, the history here is amazing!!
The Giza Plateau is an ancient and iconic site that boasts the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx, and other notable landmarks. This plateau, which is approximately 4,500 years old, features several tombs and temples that are guarded by a human-headed lion known as the Sphinx. Additionally, visitors can explore Saqqara to witness the Step Pyramid - Egypt's oldest pyramid.
The Giza plateau is like looking at a book out of ancient history. The fact that the pyramids are still standing is a wonder. I would recommend visiting early in the morning or later in the evening to avoid the basking hot sun and also the crowds.

Due to COVID-19 and decrease of tourists it is possible to enter Kufu's pyramid without prior reservations. The pyramid is narrow, steep and some parts have extremely low ceiling so take that into account.

Giza plateau is a unique place one of the Seven Wonders of the World and I think it's the best one of them.
You have to visit I to see the ten pyramids, Sphinx and all tombs there.
Also you must go inside the pyramids to see how unique they are and how Pharaoh's were too excellent.
Egypt is safe and always welcome all of you, remember you will feel like you are home.
Have safe day to all of you and a happy life 😊.

The weather is warm in this place and the view is very wonderful, but I have a question: How did they build the Arab pyramids? It has been for many centuries. This has one explanation. The ancient Egyptians had many advanced inventions And this is my rating. I might want to change the rating to 5 stars and not 4.6 because this is terrible

It's the freaking pyramids... they are amazing and a global icon of ancient history and travel. The area needs investment and clean up-- for sure. But, come on, it's an incredible location which every person should be able to see.
Grab a carriage and bargain for 250 LE for the whole trip around the site-- it's worth it. Give the guy 50 le if he does a good job, 100 if he's great. Be wary of price gouging camel guides-- agree upon a fair price ahead of time. Never more than 200 LE for any photo opportunity.
Just be nice, but be firm. It's an amazing location and should be visited in the early morning. If you are a student, bring your ID and you'll get a discount.
The Pyramid of Khafre is one of the ancient pyramids located in Giza, Egypt. It was built as a tomb for pharaoh Khafre around 2570 BCE and is the second tallest pyramid in the area. The pyramid is situated among other smaller and larger pyramids including the Pyramid of Menkaure and Great Pyramid of Khufu.
The second biggest Pyramid in the site and the most beautiful one for me as well, the tip of the Pyramid looks different than the other ones, which makes it more beautiful than the others.

This pyramid was built by Khufu's son, pharaoh Khafre. It is now the tallest pyramid on the plateau because it's casing in the upper registers has survived, unlike that on the great pyramid. It is also located higher on the plateau, which helps it to appear taller than it actually is. It costs 200 pounds to enter the plateau and additional 100 pounds to go inside the pyramid. Lots of vendors and hustlers around, they're not dangerous, but they are annoying.

This pyramids tends not to get all the love because it is ever so slightly smaller than the great pyramid, however this is actually the best pyramid. From the eye test you can’t tell that it’s smaller than the great pyramid and unlike the other pyramids the top of the pyramid is somewhat still intact.

The Pyramid of Khafre, also known as the Pyramid of Chephren, is an awe-inspiring ancient monument located on the Giza Plateau in Egypt. Built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom around 2570 BC, it stands as a testament to the architectural brilliance and engineering prowess of the ancient Egyptians.
This pyramid is the second-largest of the three pyramids at Giza and is slightly shorter than the Great Pyramid of Khufu. Despite its size, the Pyramid of Khafre is an impressive structure, with its original smooth limestone casing that once covered the entire monument, giving it a striking appearance.
One of the notable features of the pyramid is the Sphinx, a majestic and iconic limestone statue located nearby, which is believed to represent Pharaoh Khafre. The proximity of the Sphinx to the Pyramid of Khafre adds to the historical significance and allure of the site.
Inside the pyramid, visitors can explore the complex network of passageways and chambers, providing a glimpse into the burial practices and beliefs of the ancient Egyptians. The Pyramid of Khafre has undergone various explorations and excavations, shedding light on the rich history and culture of ancient Egypt.
As a historical and archaeological wonder, the Pyramid of Khafre continues to captivate visitors from around the world, offering an opportunity to experience the grandeur and mystery of ancient Egypt firsthand. It is a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts and those seeking to immerse themselves in the marvels of ancient civilizations.

Visited the Giza Plateau 8 October 2022.
Included in the Cairo Pass.
This is the second of the three pyramids of Giza.
When you are standing in between the two pyramids this pyramid appears to be the taller of the two which is an optical illusion. The Pyramid of Khafre is smaller than the Great Pyramid but is a built on a slightly higher piece of ground so appears taller.
This is the only pyramid here which still has the casing stones at the summit.
Unfortunately was closed the day we visited so could not enter the burial chamber.
You can walk around three sides of the pyramid but for some reason the fourth side is partitioned off.
On the far side closer to the Pyramid of Menkaure is a good vantage point to get both of the main pyramids in a picture.
You will come across some of the ubiquitous Camel hawkers here and if you want pictures it will cost you. I recommend not riding the poor animals as the abuse they get is terrible for such a noble creature.

I'm going yesterday. Khafre Pyramid, is the second largest pyramid in the pyramid complex at Giza. This is the burial place of Khafre, the 4th pharaoh of the Fourth Dynasty in Egyptian history.
There are two entrances leading to the main burial chamber. One corridor is located at the bottom of the Pyramid and the other is located more than 11 meters above the bottom. I love Khfre.

The Pharaonic Village is an open-air museum in Egypt that replicates the lifestyle and architecture of ancient Egyptian villages. It features a village square with a Hellenistic museum, a replica of the tomb of Tutankhamen, and ancient art. The village is located on an island in the River Nile.
Been to many of Cairo's tourist attractions but missed this one until now.
At first glance it reminded me a bit of those long forgotten little American theme parks.
First a short boat ride around the island and then we stopped and got to see the attractions.
A view into ancient Egypt and its way of life.
The houses of noblemen and peasants.
Several nice museums.
A restaurant and gift shop.
A tourguide explains the various displays.
A recreated tomb of King Tut and a hall devoted to politics.
I liked it. The setting is nice and the gardens are well kept.
If you have a little extra time you can't go wrong.
It's well worth visiting.

The village layout is well organised, and you will need half a day at least to get through it all. I really like how they have lots of rest spots along the tour with drinks and food. The Pyramid of Menkaure, constructed around 2490 BCE, is the smallest among the three main pyramids of Giza. Originally standing at a height of 65.5 meters, it now measures 61 meters in height with a base of 108.5 meters after losing its outer casing and cape stone over time. Pharaoh Menkaure was buried in this pyramid that was built during the fourth dynasty around 2510 BC.
The smallest of the Giza Pyramids is still massive and about the size of the pyramid of the sun at Teotihuacan. If you come up close the unfinished facing stones are still in place, and one can easily imagine how the process of placing and finishing of the facing stones took place.

The pyramids were built over a period of several centuries, from the Old Kingdom (2686-2181 BCE) to the Middle Kingdom (2055-1650 BCE). The largest and most famous pyramid, the Great Pyramid of Giza, was built during the reign of Pharaoh Khufu (2551-2528 BCE).
The pyramids were built as tombs for the pharaohs. The Egyptians believed that the pharaohs were gods, and that they needed to be buried in a special place so that they could ascend to the afterlife.
The pyramids were built using a variety of techniques. The Egyptians used stone blocks that were quarried from nearby mountains. They used wooden ramps and sleds to transport the stones to the pyramid site. The stones were then lifted into place using ropes and levers.
The pyramids were a massive undertaking, and they required a lot of manpower. The Egyptians used a variety of people to build the pyramids, including skilled artisans, unskilled laborers, and even prisoners of war.
The pyramids are an incredible testament to the ingenuity and engineering skills of the ancient Egyptians. They are one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and they continue to fascinate people today.

The Giza Plateau is included in the Cairo Pass.
The third and smallest of the pyramids.
It is the furthest away from the main entrance and therefore does receive less foot traffic. Head to this pyramid if you don't want throngs of tourists and scamming hawkers with their camels and horses. It is about a twenty minute walk from the main entrance. Unfortunately the day we visited the Pyramid was closed so we could not enter. There are good vistas of the bigger pyramids from the funerary Temple in front as well as great views of the three smaller Queens pyramids.
Note the casing stones around the perimeter of the pyramid at ground level.

The Egyptian pyramids are ancient masonry structures located in Egypt. Sources cite at least 118 identified Egyptian pyramids. Most were built as tombs for the country’s pharaohs and their consorts during the Old and Middle Kingdom periods.
A view of the pyramids at Giza from the plateau to the south of the complex. From left to right, the three largest are: the Pyramid of Menkaure, the Pyramid of Khafre and the Great Pyramid of Khufu. The three smaller pyramids in the foreground are subsidiary structures associated with Menkaure’s pyramid.
The earliest known Egyptian pyramids are found at Saqqara, northwest of Memphis, although at least one step-pyramid-like structure has been found at Saqqara, dating to the First Dynasty: Mastaba 3808, which has been attributed to the reign of Pharaoh Anedjib, with inscriptions, and other archaeological remains of the period, suggesting there may have been others. The otherwise earliest among these is the Pyramid of Djoser built c. 2630–2610 BCE during the Third Dynasty. This pyramid and its surrounding complex are generally considered to be the world’s oldest monumental structures constructed of dressed masonry.
The most famous Egyptian pyramids are those found at Giza, on the outskirts of Cairo. Several of the Giza pyramids are counted among the largest structures ever built. The Pyramid of Khufu is the largest Egyptian pyramid. It is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still in existence; this is despite being the oldest wonder by about 3,000 years!!!
The Giza Pyramids, built to endure an eternity. The monumental tombs are relics of Egypt Old Kingdom Era. Egypt’s pharaohs expected to become gods in the preparation for the next world they erected temples to the gods and massive pyramid tombs for themselves -filled with all the things each ruler would need to guide and sustain himself in the next world.
They are definitely special as the only standing wonders of the world!!!

The pyramid of Menkaure is the smallest of the three main pyramids of the Giza pyramid complex.
It is thought to have been built to serve as the tomb of the Fourth Dynasty Egyptian Pharaoh Menkaure.
You can enter the pyramid through very narrow stairs in a very tight area, not the best for claustrophobics, but it’s very not worthy as you’ll only reach an empty room with an old empty tomb and nothing else.

However if you are planning to tour with an employee and take photos with the photographer, I recommend that you carry at least 1000 LE to cover their costs.

The Pyramids of Giza offer a spectacular view with the Sphinx in its vicinity. Despite being surrounded by buildings and society, their magnificence remains unmatched. The location provides an ideal spot for taking selfies, and visitors can find a diverse array of camels and vendors along the access road. On clear days, one can even see other pyramids to the right of the Great Pyramid. However, there are some service issues that need attention to enhance visitors' experience at this panoramic view spot.
One of the top selfie spots around the pyramids in Giza is here. We liked the access road, there were a lot of camels to choose from, and there were some interesting vendors. There are even views of the other pyramids to the right of the Great Pyramid on a clear day. As far as other things go, the service is pretty messed up and unorganised.

Went to the Pyramids area on Dec. 1, 2021. The weather was absolutely great, sunny and warm enough to enjoy this special place!
This place is a must for anyone visiting Egypt! You can enter the area with your own car if you pay an extra ticket for it.
❗️But be aware of cheaters which wants to sell you false entry tickets for the Pyramids area!!!! The only correct tickets are sold after passing the official gate at the Pyramids plateau.❗️
If you like to explore the area you can either rent a horse, a camel or a carriage or you just drive around the area. Just walking is not really recommended as the area is quite large!!!
The area is always a fantastic place to visit, so don’t miss it when visiting Cairo!

An experience that you much check once in a lifetime. Come here before 4pm and stay until it closes to have the best experience.

This is a great place to see the pyramids from a distance. There are camel rides available like other areas around the pyramids. I was not going to ride a camel because it seemed too touristy, but I did and really enjoyed it.
Donald Metzler — Google review
Great view of the pyramids. The camel ride was about 25 us dollars or 400 pounds. So not too bad, but you can tell a lot of tourists come through thr area because they really hustle you for money, they come at you like flies and won't stop bugging you until you buy something and tip them.
David Cy — Google review
The best place to have a panoramic view of the Pyramids and take great photos. You can also experience a camel ride and see more of the place.
Nikos Kapsomenakis — Google review
We did a Giza tour that took us for camel rides as well. I would definitely recommend doing the camel rides as a part of a tour as we didn’t need to haggle any prices and our guide was fantastic!

Sitio.

The pyramids are impressive. The experience is not that good, if you don't pay a guide, you can't enjoy on your own or visit at your own pace. There is no signage, there are no information totems, there is no security, you do not know where to start or where to end, and it is full of garbage. Nobody respects the few indications that there is and you have to deal with people who want to scam you. I enjoyed watching a documentary on the History Channel more than going to visit the
Place.

i came to pyramids, but it was just close when i came. then a guy come to us, referred to ride camel or horse.
nice place to ride camel or horse. but i got bad experience about the tour guide. he was angry everytime, even tough he was angry to his son, but it was disturbing the customers. also i got high price, 1 camel 800 egp and 1 horse 800 egp. i think it might be cheaper than that. last, he gave the oldschool pose to took some pictures.
the sand is great, strong wind but the pyramids look so small
This upscale shopping mall features luxury boutiques and a French restaurant. It is located in Giza, near the Four Seasons Hotel.
Only few high end stores, next to four seasons hotel.
Hemy Mainayar — Google review
The mall is next to the Four Seasons Hotel. The mall is not big. Not enough shopping stores but it is beautiful inside. It looks expensive and classy inside, securities are everywhere. We only went to the orange branch and then had coffee, then left. I don't see myself coming back here though, unless I need to go back to the orange branch here then I will go.

Most of the shops closed. The remaining ones are not enough for a good shopping experience. The mall has a big place in the center for drinks and eating with good quality of food but very expensive. The blue ceiling with clouds gives the place a unique atmosphere. Service is not good

Really nice mall to escape the chaos of Cairo outside. Located next to and I think connected to the Four Seasons. Lovely cafe downstairs which is reasonably priced and without staff constantly harrassing you. Was nice to relax here and be comfortable after a day of sightseeing. Shop wise it's more high end . Don't expect main chain stores such as Zara etc. Prices weren't too bad when I visited due to current prices locked vs matching international costs.

Cairo Luxury Shopping at its best with some of Egypt top Luxury brands located in the Four Seasons Giza Extension.

Upscale mall geared toward westerners. Decent selection of stores for visitors and locals. There is an ATM and staffed bank branch.
Clothing for men, women, and children in western style and some Egyptian. Several stores selling jewelry, eyewear, accessories, gifts, and watches.
Prices reflect the higher-end merchandise.
Service and food at the restaurant on the main floor are excellent. Not fine dining but good quality by caring, attentive people.

We stayed at the Four Seasons first residence and had access to the First Mall from the ground floor. The cafe and bakery was absolutely delicious with the freshest coffee and pastries. Security was top notch, If you are in Cairo swing by and have some fun with the family!

It is an elegant and beautiful place, having the original brands in a way that you love to buy despite being a little bit pricey, but worth it.

Beautiful first class mall. Very well organized contains original brands.
We expect moderate prices but it seems for suitable for rich and famous.

Do NOT go to the rolex at this mall. They will try to overprice and overcharge you for your rolex. They do not honor the rolex Worldwide price. All rolex watches have the exact same price if bought from a Authorized Dealer. They were charging 72k for a 59k watch. Don't be scammed.

Impressive and opulent Mall. After long walk from the dusty road outside, this place is like a sanctuary for luxury. Lift butler helped you to press the buttons in case you get lost. Toilets at the top floor.
Lunch were good BUT over zealous, well mannered and friendly enough staff who couldn’t wait to clear the table even though we were still eating. I felt like I could not put down cutleries for a breather and they think we were finished. Asked for a spicy seafood fettuccine, but was not fulfilled. Onion soup was good n as well as other food ordered. Pricy. I wish they would consider having smokers outside the building.

Beautiful mall if you want to have some comfort in the noisy and dusty Cairo. There is a nice cafe in the atrium, ATM and Orange the mobile carrier. Very convenient for tourist. The cafe is nice and the pastry is good with reasonable good price.
The Taha Hussein Museum is dedicated to the life and works of Taha Hussein, a 20th century scholar who was a figurehead for the modernist movement in the Arab World. He was also nominated for a Nobel Prize in literature not once, but four times. The museum contains a variety of exhibits related to his life and work, including furniture, paintings, and antiques. The staff are extremely helpful and provide full explanations during visits.
All of Taha Hussein's belongings are still in excellent condition , the place is neat and people are friendly and well educated , if you are around Pyramids street or Faisal street give it a try it’s really charming .

As Taha Hussein's grandson I know the house well. While it has generally been well maintained, some aspects need attention and a budget. Floors have been allowed to become shabby, with haphazard coverings. Furniture has been reupholstered poorly. Shutters need a paint job.
Considering that in the two hours I was there there were no other visitors, it is perhaps understandable that there is no incentive to make the effort.
It is a pity that the garden, once the main attraction of the residence, is no more. I suppose visitors are naturally more interested in the house.

Taha Hussein Museum is the villa of Taha Hussein or “Ramatan”, which the Egyptian Ministry of Culture turned into a museum to commemorate the dean of Arabic literature . The museum villa consists of two floors and a library.

That is a very nice place to visit I really recommend so
Experienced a very different feel about perfumes. They have all different kinds of perfumes and without any alcohol. Just beautiful and very kind people who are here. There are beautiful crystals as well. The prices of the perfumes are also discounted. Buy 3 small bottles for 75$ and get one bottle free. Very hospitable people and they served us with mint tea, Turkish coffee and hibiscus juice.
Jency Thomas — Google review
They were dishonest; the tourist guide took us there yesterday. My boyfriend and I bought two essential oil perfumes that were supposed to smell nice. However, when we tried them at the hotel, they turned out to be fake – just oils without any essential components. They charged us $70, which is unfair and disappointing. It feels like they're taking advantage of tourists. I strongly advise against buying anything there; it's just a way to lose your money.

This store seems to have two names. Both signs seem to be visible. The store I visited had the name Golden Eagle Perfume Palac (without an "e") on signboards, clearly visible. On the other hand the name on their pages states Golden Eagle Crystal, which also shows as my location, on Google. You be the judge!
Now about the store, I must admit it is huge and has a wide variety of perfumes and crystals. They have individual smaller rooms filled with perfume bottles, diffusers and numerous fancy bottles in a rainbow of colours, shapes and sizes. A salesman sits there, tells you about the perfumes, makes you choose one and then takes an order. I was quite surprised that they didn't have coffee beans to sniff at between perfumes, like you get at any perfume store.
Having a good collection of perfumes myself, I was unmoved by their variety. Specially when they tried to sell me sandalwood! I have to admit that though they had a variety of perfumes, nothing caught my fancy. The salesman tried his best to offer us the deal of buy 3 get the 4th free.
We bought 2 small bottles, and I'm happy to say that they were the same as the perfumes we had sampled, and they stay on only for about 4 hours.

Amazing service, great prices, they will make any fragrance of perfume from oil essence at a fraction of the cost of brand names.

I was with a tour group that brought us to this store. I bought 4 bottles that cost $200. I checked the prices of the bottles of oil I bought from this store online. I discovered the prices online for the same oil I got are much cheaper online. Do not buy from this store even though your local guide will take you to this store. They are scammers. Their prices are too way more expensive. The oil bottles that I bought are inferior compared to the ones they showed in their demo. Never will again I will be influenced and fooled by tourist guides who bring you to stores because they get commissions. I just wasted my $200 but just to warn you folks not to believe these people. They are excellent in sales talk.

Great papyrus store with huge collection. But the price is little higher. Loved their free drinks . Thanks to Egyptian Hospitality.

Perfumes and papyrus store. Expensive for what it's worth. Expect hard selling. Even if you ask for discounts, it's still not affordable.
