The Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park is a significant historical site that pays tribute to the first president of Ghana. This memorial park features a imposing mausoleum, as well as a compact history museum. It is located on a strip of landmarks in the city and is an essential inclusion on any itinerary for visitors to Ghana. Along with Ussher Fort and the Jamestown Lighthouse, it offers guided tours that take around 30 minutes each.
This is located on a strip of historical landmarks in the city. It is almost never crowded and a gorgeous place to take the family to learn about Our Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah! So much history here, I love visiting every time I get back home!

The park is beautiful and educational. There is so much information about the great Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana. His history and achievements including the fight for Ghana independence. Cost of ticket to enter the park varies for citizens and non citizens. See updated price list attached.

This remarkable museum dedicated to the first president of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah is not just a museum; it's a journey through history. Seeing his personal belongings like the piano, coat, and telephone was humbling. The museum's collection of historical artifacts is extensive, offering a deep dive into Ghana's past. A must visit for anyone interested in history and the legacy of this great leader .

A great place to visit as a tourist, local families and excursions groups. A tribute to Dr Nkrumah Ghana's first ever president who fought for Ghana's independence from colonial rule.
A nice place to take in a piece of Ghana's culture and history. It can be busy with groups but there is ample space. There is parking but it is also easy to reach here by public transport.
Be aware that locals with ID get preferential rates to enter.

What a shame that a very historic and interresting site are not properly looked after! The museum is dirty, too hot and really run down. The memorial is supposed to have water all around it, but it is dry and the general state of the garden is not well kept.
I am afraid that in a few years time nobody would want to pay to see this.

It was an amazing experience learning about Kwame Nkrumah's life and the way he fought for what Ghana is today.
I also had the opportunity to see the museum (couldn't take pictures).
I saw trees planted by every single President or head of states that had visited Ghana.
Kwame Nkrumah's grave side is also in the premises.

So I’ve been living in Accra for so many years but have never visited the Nkrumah memorial park. So I decided to go. I like the new look of the place. Very modern looking but full of the African culture. Actually I was kind of expecting more history but I just didn’t get enough of it. Overall I like the experience, this place is beautiful. But I feel like more of Ghanaian rich culture can be added to make the park more interesting.

It is "Open" but "not open"... we were actually going to Osu Castle - btw it is open to public Sat/Sun only as it's still a functioning office- and saw the Memorial Park so we stopped and asked if we could walk around and they said yes...the staff / grounds keeper (??) was very knowledgeable and provided a walking history tour - they are looking to make it more of a traditional interactive park so thats the confusion along with it just wrapped up construction - for grounds / staff consideration we did tip - amount of your discretion

We visited on a cloudy Wednesday afternoon to take a look at the newly renovated park. I never saw the original so I don’t have a frame of reference to point to.
The remodeled park looks beautiful and the museum quite informative. Though I hate chickens, I found it lovely that he used to rear chickens in childhood and there were chickens roaming freely in the park. The gift shop is also lovely with some quintessentially Ghanaian mementos if you choose to buy.

The museum is a great tribute to the first president of Ghana, a lot more has to be improved like the roadside street lights in front of the museum for safety reasons and build another restroom. It's a great renovation overall. 👏🏾👏🏾

The museum stands as a remarkable tribute to Ghana's inaugural president. It excels in elucidating the origins and enduring impact of this iconic figure. The memorial's symbolism is both elegant and thought-provoking, and I truly valued the insightful guidance from our tour guide.
However, there are some areas in need of enhancement, such as the installation of street lights along the roadside in front of the museum for safety, and the addition of an extra restroom. Despite these considerations, the comprehensive renovations are undeniably impressive.
The park's layout is particularly appealing, offering ample green spaces and comfortable seating areas. I was particularly enamored with the incorporation of Adinkra symbols into the park's design elements, adding an extra layer of cultural significance to the entire experience.

Fascinating and inspiring place, with the focus on audio-visual exhibition of the late Presidents achievements and quotes rather than physical artifacts... Which can definitely do with a refreshed approach to display and context. The new outer buildings with the pools, fountains and statues are strikingly different.
Why photography isn't allowed inside is beyond me.
A lovely shaded area under yes had been created with tables and seating for a picnic or meals

When you get out your vehicle there are entrepreneurs with items to buy if you want. My party bought some keychains for a very reasonable price. The lobby is air conditioned, has clean restrooms, and a few good picture spots. The guided tour is both inside and outside. They do not allow photography of any kind inside. The tour is actually very short. Maybe 20 minutes with a short break for photos on the balcony. It is wheelchair accessible. I am a big reader, so if you can do it without the big group, I would recommend that because I felt a little rushed. The only thing is the tour guide provided very good information, so maybe do the tour with the guide and then go back, if you're a nerd like me. The place was beautiful. It is 20 min of walking/standing so beware. And it's Ghana so the outside side parts will be hot and humid. We had a bonus because it was Accra Fashion Week!

Pretty impressive but otherwise a bit thin if you don't consider the experience of Ghana's journey to independence to be the most interesting thing about the country. Some good photo opps and a museum that does it's best to share history. No concessions.

A tribute to Ghana’s first president, this museum is very informative about the life and legacy of Nkrumah. We went with a guide who was very friendly and answered all our questions. A well known site to Ghanaians and people all around the world. Whether you are her on business or on for pleasure stop by. There is so much history and knowledge that can be found at this center. Affordable entrance fee and multiple things to do. My favorite part was the benches and shaded grass area. The grass area is perfect for lounging or a picnic should time allow. I would suggest bringing your own drinks and food as the food there was overly expensive. The museum was nice, but a quick question walk through experience. I didn’t have a guide so that may lend to a different experience. Looking forward to returning next year with a larger group.

The Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Museum is a place where you can learn about the life of a significant person in the history of Ghana.
The museum is designed in a way that helps you understand and connect with his story. The museum is in a beautiful park with greenery and fresh air.
Our only problem was that our guide seemed tired, which affected our experience a little bit.
However, I would recommend this museum to anyone wanting to learn more about Ghana's history and independence.

This is a nice museum dedicated to Ghana's founding father. There was plenty of parking available. It was easy to get tickets. You can have a self guided or guided tour and we opted for the latter although the guided tour wasn't explicitly listed as an option. We randomly happened to be behind a group that was getting the guided tour and it was offered to us. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the trip fun. Definitely make sure to ask for a guide if you are interested. Overall, it was an educational trip and I learned a lot. Highly recommended.
If you want to have an authentic experience in Accra this market is the place to be! Very chaotic and busy but worth it if you go early and avoid the midday heat. Enjoy a bit of bargaining and negotiating with the local traders. At this market they won't rip you off as its too busy to bother.

Opened market with just about everything from clothing, shoes, food, jewelry, cosmetics, electronics, etc. The down side is the the market is not very organized or compartmentalized. One has to walk long distances looking for goods and you just can't be sure where to find stuff.

The market place of Accra. A bit too crowdy. You have to be careful enough with your belongings and self. But you get almost everything you need for your home at a reasonable rate.It is really hard to capture Makola Market's spirit in writing - you just have to go there. This huge market is combined of main streets and back allies. My favourite beach Bojo but now things have really changed, on the other side of the beach so so dirty but from the entrance to the beach which a boat has to take your to the is clean and also they close so early I don't no why, but I think is due to the location, so is best you have your own transport it's safer and better...

One of the best beaches in Greater Accra. The beach is trapped between a small lake that empties into the ocean. You go across the lake via a large canoe to access the beach. The sea itself is beautiful from here. There’s food from the restaurant and of course drinks. The bathroom is not much but it works.
Overall it’s a great location for small or large groups.

The mall has three floors of shopping options that include a supermarket, clothing stores, office stationery shops, perfumeries, and more. There are also several eateries available ranging from food courts to fine dining restaurants.
Not only does it boast a diverse array of great shops, but its proximity to the airport makes it the perfect place to kill time before a flight. A small mall, for sure. Only 3 options in the food court. Cafe Barbara was good, but I didn't try the other 2.
With a few exceptions like Samsung and CompuGhana, a lot of the stores seemed like off-brand copies of the shops in Accra Mall.
This isn't really bad and the stores seemed fine, clean and well-stocked.
The ATM bank outside in the glare of the sun is not a good choice.
Practical stores, like the pharmacy and Marina Supermarket were fine.
Overall, not bad, but it's just not a terribly interesting mall, and the layout doesn't invite browsing.

The restaurant in the mall, Barbara Café, is actually nice. While some of the waitresses seem to be actively seeking boyfriends, the food is enjoyable, and they are prompt in delivering orders while maintaining a friendly demeanor. The WIFI is generally fast, though it can be slow in the afternoon at times. Overall, it's not bad. However, I would rate it three stars due to the waitresses actively seeking boyfriends.

Marina Mall, situated just a kilometer from Accra Airport in the upscale Airport Residential Area, is a convenient shopping destination for both locals and travelers. Its proximity to the airport makes it an easily accessible location for those in transit.
Spread across three floors, Marina Mall offers an extensive array of stores, ranging from international brands to local retailers. The shopping experience is complemented by a multitude of eating places, ensuring that food enthusiasts have plenty to choose from.
The architecture is modern and pleasing, but on the day I visited, the escalator was not working, which caused some inconvenience, especially for those who had to move between floors. This could be particularly challenging for elderly visitors or those with mobility issues.
Despite this minor hiccup, Marina Mall in Accra offers an engaging shopping experience with something for everyone. Its location, variety of shops, and dining options make it a must-visit for those looking to indulge in retail therapy or grab a bite in a pleasant environment.

I accept what the curators of Dr. DuBois has done thus far in maintaining his home as a public display. Yet, I am elated that they are in a capital improvement phase to build a more appropriate facility to house, display and share with the world the live and contributions of this unique human being. There thee volumes of Dr. DuBois final writing that are displayed in a showcase with no way for we who desire to read them to do so. There is future plans to digitize the volumes, but still I ache because of our inability to access today what this great thinker may have pinned during his final year.
Thus, I ask you who are lovers of knowledge to add their capital improvement endeavors to your list of organizations to support.

The Osu Castle, serving as a government seat, is currently not open for visitors. Moving on from Independence Square to the old Accra, one can find the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park which commemorates Ghana's first president and holds significant history including tales of slavery involving Danish individuals. The park requires an entrance fee of 20 Cedis, which includes hiring a tour guide to offer access to emotional tours and showcase its beautiful garden.

Great experience of history. The castle has a very dark history of slavery as well as changes in local leadership over many years. It also stands as a symbol of what a nation can achieve if it looks past its history and to its future.

It's one of the castle's in Ghana that is of huge significance in the history of Ghana, both pre and post colonial rule. Despite it being built over 3 centuries ago, it has been maintained in a very good condition. You get to see the several dungeons used for to house slaves before being carried abroad. You get to see the residences of the former presidents of Ghana who lived there, the room where Queen Elizabeth slept on her visit to Ghana, the 3-foot thick fortified walls, the beautiful gardens, the gate of no return, the burial sites of some departed slaves, the complex tunnels underneath the castle and the overall overwhelming architecture of the entire castle built and inhabited by over 4 different European countries. Shocking to see a church where the colonial masters gather to worship and underneath it, a dungeon where captured slaves are kept and mostly under starvation and other distress conditions. It was worth the visit and getting to know an important aspect of the history of then Gold Coast before independence from colonial rule. The time I went there, some parts were under renovation so couldn't get to see all the places within. The services of the tour guide was awesome, willing and ready to answer all of our questions. It's a place I'll like to visit again.

The Osu Castle tour was quite interesting, tour guide with good history lessons. He was patient, in his element, shows passion in his job.
Was quite sad to see the pitiful conditions of the dungeons, little or no access to light, food drops from holes at the top, very low ceilings. Learnt about how the danish sold the castle to the Portuguese when slave trade was abolished then the British took over.
The history is solemn and quite hurtful to remember fellow Africans sold their fellow citizens into slavery for mirrors and drinks.
It is well kept, clean and could do with a little more maintenance.

A monument that astonishingly flaunts Ghana's sovereignty. A site of our historical fight for freedom. This place carefully displays what our forefathers did for us. It is an open area accessible to all including non-natives.
However, there are some flaws due to an improper management and maintenance of the site. This can quickly be resolved if attention is drawn to it.

The Independence Arch is part of the Black Star Square/ Independence Square in Accra which contains monuments to Ghana's independence struggle, including the Independence Arch.
National and monumental events are held here graced by the President when it is important to address the country. It has the sitting arrangement of a stadium.
Tends to be crowded as tourists who visit the Independence Square cross over to see the arch as well.

Black Star Square (Formerly known as the Independence Square). This venue used to host all Independence Day parades back in the days and used to be packed until the event started circulating around the various regional capitals. It's still used for some national events (most especially Aglow International and concerts) . The 3-storey arch at the very edge has a top-notch Conference Facility but with restricted access.
Most of the seats in the stands are getting ripped off or stolen everyday by several perchers who stop by to rest from the scorching sun.
Anyway, you have to be careful around the stands because a few recalcitrant crooks are known to lurk under the stands and snatch phones and valuables when they get the opportunity.
All in all, there are proactive security officers around who respond swiftly when they receive any complaint, notable among them a well-built, well-spoken young man.....forgotten his name. Still worth being careful on the premises. There's no charge for accessing the facility as a tourist so don't let anyone deceive you and get away with a few of your cedis/whatever currency you carrying. Some vendors are around to provide water, coconut and snacks after your tour and picture-taking spree. Don't forget there's a Beach right behind the square.
NB: I'VE seen a few people being stopped from using the square as a driving practice field. It's strictly prohibited. Better still, there are football pitches behind the square that can be used for that purpose.

I have been here multiple times. Anyone visiting Ghana should come here and hear about its Independence. There is no charge to take pictures at the ground level of the Black Star Gate; however, if you choose to visit the upper level be ready to dash the attendants a small fee. I paid 10gh. Then prepare to climb 5 flights of stairs to the top. This lower level can be busy at times. My suggestion is if you arrive and people are taking pictures at the bottom level, you should go straight to the upper level to save time. A Ghanaian flag is stored on the upper level that you can utilize to take pictures.
Across the street you can visit Independence Arch/Square and a few monuments. Beware of the hawkers selling artwork, souvenirs, etc. If not interested, say "no" and move away quickly. If not they will continue to stress you unnecessarily.

Black Star Square is a cool place in Ghana if you want to see the city from up high.
It's not like a regular tourist spot but more like a place where you can look around the city and take pictures.
It's in the middle of a busy roundabout, so you must be careful when crossing the street to get there. You can go to the bottom part for free and take pictures in front of a big arch.
But if you want to go to the top, you must pay some money. There's a guy there named Black who can help you take fantastic pictures with the city behind you.
Just be careful if you go to the top because there aren't any railings, and the steps can be a little tricky.
Overall, it's a cool place to go if you want to see Ghana from a different perspective and take memorable pictures.

Black star square is an historic location you want to visit whenever you visit Ghana. It highlights freedom and justice, next to it is ghana national sports stadium and less than half a mile is the art center where you can buy all kinds of African wears, arts etc. next to the art center is the historic Kwame Nkrumah memorial park although you do need a ticket for Kwame Nkrumah park and it’s 100 Ghana cedis per person (foreigner). Local should be around 50 or 25 Ghana cedis.
Independent square is so cool for pictures and the best time for pictures is within 4pm - 5:15pm there about. Cheers 🥂

It would be nice to see this space with a proud event filling it. Otherwise it was one of the roughest spots to be as a tourist with the most aggressive souvenir salesman we encountered. It's a haven for houseless folks to sleep and be but not much else there. The Independence Arch is right across the street.
The place has a nice tour guide who is happy to show you around and explain everything in detail. The money for the tour is donated to the school and its local projects. The fishing village is full of friendly, nice people. Had a great time there and recommend a visit to anyone who wants to learn more about the history and life of the people in Ghana.

It would have been amazing to explore this historical place, but once we left our taxi, local "guides" jumped to us and they were very pushy and very rude. They didn't allow us to go downstairs too. Maybe one day this will be amazing place to visit, but not now. I will add pictures to show "reality", because some of the pictures looks nothing like this place, it's extremely dirty. It's a historical place, it should be kept better and respected way more.

Visiting Jamestown has been on my list of things to do for a long time. It was everything and more than I imagined it would. We stumbled on a visitors information centre and went on an impromptu tour with our tour guide who took us through British, Portuguese and Dutch Jamestown.
Our guide was a well informed resident of Jamestown and among the places he took us were the 1st hotel in Ghana called Sea view hotel. Well, what's remained of it. The Ga settlements, the chief's palace. We got the chance to see the women dry and smoke the fish the men had brought back from sea, even saw a group of men making boats from scratch. It was amazing!
We also visited a well known boxing gym where future world champions trained at.
We interacted with so many amazing people and I think regardless of me being Ga, I would've still connected with these people.
It's a tour worth taking!

This is located in the Jamestown neighborhood of Accra, Ghana. The 28-metre structure was originally built in the 1930s, replacing an earlier lighthouse that had been built in 1871. It consists of a stone tower with lantern and gallery, attached to a keeper's house. Both lighthouse and keeper's house are painted with red and white horizontal bands.Did you know that just around the lighthouse were tunnels which were used in transporting slaves to the James Fort n the likes.
I love this place. You can find art from great artists in Ghana, jewelry, paintings, sculptures, and masks.

When you come out of the art gallery, on your left, you will locate a beach called 'Abemsi beach'(pardon the spellings). That's where the fishermen go for fishing.
If you want to come by bus; board teshie and alight at LA palm beach hotel and cross the road to the other side and board Accra bus and track google map from there, you will find the ART GALLERY

Many many high-quality works: paintings traditional folk, contemporary & modern, impressionistic; prints, kinte, carvings in wood, metal, stone; ornate ceremonial stools, chairs & whimsical furniture; statues & totems of all description plus so much more. Definitely worth a visit to get a broader, fresher and modern overview of what's happening behind the art scene in Ghana. There's abstract stuff, cubist, impressionist paintings. You name it.
I'm a bit sad and worried though about some of the items there. The humid-salty oceanic air which breezes through the windows is slowly deteriorating some of the works there. Especially smaller ones which are laying upon eachother and are made on paper.

One of the standout features of this mall is its vast car park, making it incredibly convenient for shoppers. The mall also boasts a wide variety of stores, catering to every need and taste. Families with young children will particularly appreciate the well-designed children's playground.
The downside to the mall as at the time of my visit is the road construction and diversions going on around the area. There are very poor directional signs on how to get into the mall. Although the road is under construction, it is still very deplorable and first time visitors may find it difficult finding the main entrance to the mall from the main road

There are a lot to be expected at the art center( playing of drums, opportunity to learn a thing about kente weaving styles, have a hands-on experience in carving, paintings and dance on a good day , Sellers here are comely, approachable as always. Shifting from the personalities that sell there, Is the environment. I’m highly disappointed at the look of the art Center. Just as huge as the place welcomes you, the attitude of Art and for the image of The capital, Accra, a great deal of attention needs to be give.
The entrance is unfriendly, there ain’t enough maintenance from my observation. This spot on the map, by the sea needs a facelift indeed. I like the place but not proud of the outlook. Sincerely.... but then, I’ll recommend anyone that loves handmadejewelry, bags and Artifacts , visitors from around the world and indigenes to patronise from this place. It’s safe and the people there are beautiful in character. Visit to have an experience of a kind. There’s a gentleman behind the main stream of stores that makes xylophones ... he’s fantastic. I explored the National Museum in Accra on a Friday, eager to delve into our Ghanaian cultural heritage. Located across from the Accra Rehabilitation Centre, the absence of clear signage led me to inquire if I had reached the correct destination. I entered at 9:10 am after paying an entrance fee of ¢20. The museum showcased artifacts illustrating Ghana's rich cultural history, spanning themes such as early hunting tools, funerals, puberty rites, clans, and religion. The exhibits included both genuine archaeological findings dating back centuries and replicas of valuable items. The tour guide provided a well-articulated journey through the depths of our history, making it a worthwhile experience. In about 30 mins, we were done with our tour of the place and the highlight for me was the outstanding spider web art that hung like a canopy over our heads on the ground floor. Christmas day, no cashier, no staff, only one guard who takes our money (80 cedis for me, a foreigner, and 20 for my local driver). No receipt, no ticket. He puts the 100 cedis (about 8 US$) in his shirt pocket and walks away. On the way out he asks me to write my name not in the guest book but on a separate piece of paper.
The small museum is nice and worth a visit, provided the visitor knows that entrance fee goes to the right place.

I recently had the pleasure of attending an event at the Accra Conference Center in Ghana, and I am delighted to share my experience with you. This venue left a lasting impression on me for its remarkable facilities, attentive staff, and its capacity to host diverse events.
The first thing that struck me was the grandeur of the Accra Conference Center’s architecture. Its modern design combined with cultural elements creates a unique and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. The spacious halls and well-designed meeting rooms showcase the center’s commitment to providing functional and visually appealing spaces for various types of gatherings.
The technical amenities available at the conference center were exceptional. The state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment and seamless connectivity ensured that presentations, speeches, and multimedia content were flawlessly delivered. This significantly enhanced the overall experience of the event, allowing participants to engage effectively.
Equally impressive was the attentive and professional staff. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly by the staff who were eager to assist with any questions or needs. Their efficiency in managing logistics and ensuring the smooth flow of the event was commendable. It’s clear that the team at Accra Conference Center is dedicated to ensuring events run seamlessly.
The center’s versatility is another standout feature. Whether it’s a large international conference, a corporate seminar, or a cultural exhibition, the Accra Conference Center can accommodate a variety of events. The availability of different-sized halls and meeting rooms allows for flexibility in hosting events of varying scales.
However, I did notice that parking facilities can sometimes be a bit limited, especially during larger events. It might be advisable for attendees to consider arriving early or exploring alternative transportation options.
In conclusion, the Accra Conference Center in Ghana is an exceptional venue for events of all kinds. Its impressive architecture, top-notch technical amenities, and attentive staff contribute to a memorable and successful event experience. While there might be occasional parking challenges, the overall quality of the facilities and services offered make it a prime choice for hosting events in Accra.

This is one of the beautiful places to visit in Ghana. It's an event grounds for all kinds of programs from political, entertainment to sports. On several days I've been there to witness events like Ghana meets Nija, Music Awards nights and the likes.. meanwhile today I attended the graduation 🎓 of my sister. She's been called to the bar 🍻

A good location for international and local trade affairs. The location has good, planned, and properly demarcated parking lots. The place might be busy most days. The place being in the middle of the town is a little problematic due to high vehicular gridlock. However, the location is a good one.

One of the best places for hosting events. Very clean washrooms, large and spacious halls. Conducive and clean environment as well. Not really a fan of the parking space, very small area. Need more Improvement on that.
The National Theatre in Accra is a stylish and well-designed venue that offers great sound and lighting. The seating arrangements are spacious, allowing for clear views of the stage, while the washrooms are clean and well-maintained. It serves as an excellent venue for both artistic performances and conferences, with helpful staff members always available to assist visitors who may require guidance.
A lovely location in Ghana where the country’s rich culture comes to light. Various shows, concerts, exhibitions, and conferences take place here.
Great venue to witness local talent on display. Art exhibitions are also held year.
The building is uniquely designed.
If you are visiting Ghana I would strongly recommend checking events taking place here and perhaps witness how locals chill out and take in laughter. Tickets tend to reasonably priced.
Arts and crafts are also for sale here.

A great place to host an audience either for arts or conferences... Seats are okay and arranged in a way you can see the stage clearly... The washrooms there are neat also...

One of my favorite buildings ever! It's easily found in the city of Accra. Very spacious seating with great views from whichever angle you choose. Massive air-conditioning throughout the auditorium. This is indeed one of Ghana's most priceless buildings!

The building itself is a sight to remember. It stands tall and huge and bends inwards suggesting its warm embrace to all who enter. It hosts multiple events that rarely leave your memory. If you want a place to get a large audience for your creative talents, the national theatre is for you.

This is home to many play lovers and play writers. The national theatre is used to hosting large events and dramas. My recent visit was to watch a play on a Sunday evening.
Been there few times but never took pictures.
The theatre has an open ground where food / snacks / finger food vendors can operate whenever there is an on going event. The only down side is the slight price increase .
The is a male and female washroom at the theatre. It is clean and the facility is in good shape.
There are 2 floors in the theatre in addition to the ground floor. In the theatre, there are 4 sections. The 2 far ends and a middle section.
A stage with almost all the equipment needed to stage a play.
My turn off was the state of some of the theatre seats. Some were broken whiles others seems to be have been damaged by thermites or so. The cushion is not soo comfortable.
I suggest the management of the place pay attention to the nature of the seats, if possible they should be replaced or repaired.
There is an in house restaurant also, a folktale area and a parking space .
Right opposite it is the Efua Sunderland children’s part. To the left is Vidae cafe and other prestigious hotels .
Do visit when there is a play in town

Nothing has changed around here. I remember, how as a kid, I so much yearn to visit the National Theatre. When I’m in a vehicle and we pass by, I’ll always watch with my mouth open how beautiful the environment was.
But as it’s the case with most Ghanaians when it comes to our maintenance culture, not much have improved over the years.
Some of the seats 💺 in the auditorium are weak and need changing. The outside beautification is gone. The front is mostly occupied by hawkers and street dwellers. The gutters are chocked. There should be dust bins at vantage points where plastic waste can be disposed.
Aside that, it’s okay. We pray the right things are done to keep this place in shape.

One of the coolest and well thought out auditoriums in Africa and Ghana.. Major events and most national events are held here and everything is just incredible about this place. Every time I go here the experience is top tier and I can go on and on about how amazing the National Theatre is. It produces a great atmosphere for shows and networking in general. The structure of the building itself is like something out of the ordinary.. You need to check it out to fully understand why this auditorium has so much hype around it🙂

Beautiful place , especially at night with the colours on it. My only con would be the state of the place , better can be done. I had not the chance to get inside but from what I saw and got to learn , beautiful.

The songs of Akotam was well performed however, the building is deteriorating faster than i could imagine. The air-conditioners were on but they were obviously faulty, the does were kept opened throughout the performances. There were mosquitoes in the hall where we were seated on seat numbers AN 14 and AN 15 respectively. I hope the air-conditioners are fixed quickly, otherwise, I recommend visitors dress properly to avoid mosquitoe bites in the hall.

I've now seen two awesome fashion shows here. The crowds were great. The facility was organized and prepared. Parking was fine and free.

An amazing and well planned architectural work for an edifice. The Auditorium is quite powerful and of good technology. It's a first class place for big events and occasions. In there is like another world entirely really. I liked the sightseeing and visit. I also got a good tour guide to show me around on my visit there.
The car park and compound is very wide and big for parking. The restrooms are up and running although in all maintenance is lacking. Public transport tho and fro is quite feasible but I got a taxi though which was also readily available. You pay a token to get a tour of the place, nothing exorbitant. I liked the various work of art I saw in the theatre.

The place is spacious and lovely. I would have given it a 5 stars instead of a 4. However, the place is so hot that people who sit in the middle seats need to carry fans along.

The auditorium is well structured for performance. The seating arrangement allows all round viewing, and the temperature regulators (ACs) awesome.
However, on arrival at the National Theatre, it was obvious that the edifice needs a little more care and maintenance. Some broken seats fixed, tattered seats covers replaced, external wall cracks fixed to say the least.
In summary, it's a place to have lots and lots of fun and will recommend you visit it some day.

For some years now, the resort has been closed down and even though the building still stands, in time, people are going to forget it's existence unless renovated and opened for business

The hotel has great views, customer service is lacking big time, many things don't work in the room. The grounds are spacious. Many function rooms are unused and in a poor state of maintenance. There is great potential for an investor to overhaul the entire hotel. The photos used must have been photos from a long time ago when the hotel was in a decent state.

I went swimming. Haven't been here in about 2years and I must say I was disappointed at how the place has deteriorated. The water in the pool looked dirty, tiles in the pool dirty and rusty, beach beds around the pool have broken down, mattresses worn out. I don't know what has gone wrong over the past two years. But this is definitely my last time coming here unless things are handled much better

AWFUL!!!!!.
I have been to a few bad hotels in my time but this hotel is definitely the worst. On entering the room the floor was dirty, the taps weren't working and the ceiling was crumbling.
We were then given another room upon our complaints, the new room's lights did not work, there was no television and exposed wiring hanging from the wall and to be honest it was worse than the previous room.
We gave up and decided to leave the hotel, upon leaving I saw a dead frog in the swimming pool.
I should have realised there was something wrong when i called the hotel's main number a few times and no one answered but a gentleman named Isaac called me from his private mobile phone to take the booking.
For $110 per night i expected more.

The place is really beautiful, &the food was sweet, but just that the food took long to come and the food was VERY small. As if it was to feed a baby. &oh my, Very disgusting Washing rooms, as big and beautiful as the beach looks it was very disappointing to see such a low class Washing rooms like that smh. I had to pee but after seeing that Washing room I just couldnt do it. & I was there till night omg, come and see mosquitos 😭, they came like an army, it was really not normal, I dont know if its because it's the beach or , but i have never seen so many mosquitos coming from left & right at once before. All the same the staff was very polite & helpful

Cool relaxing place. Not particular about the customer service, great in a way but not consistent. Room services were delayed until when it was about time to check out. I had to stay without towels which was only provided upon request. The swimming pool especially wasn't been properly kept all though the ocean is a lot worse around here.

If pictures were current I wouldn't have expected so much. The place needs a lot of repairs and the kitchen staff was not tained well to answer my questions without going back several times. The bill was also wrong for a simple half and half pizza.

It used to be a nice place when I first went there in 2010. In 2018, my return there was not very pleasant. Patronage was quite low, making you feel a bit lonely for such a place right in town. The place needs revamp.
