The Victoria Falls, situated in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, is a famous attraction known for its enormous size and natural pool where visitors can swim. One of the most thrilling experiences offered at the falls is the journey to Livingstone Island, where Devil's Pool offers an incredible view of the 100m drop on the edge of Victoria Falls. The spot where David Livingstone first viewed these falls is marked by a plaque.
Breathtaking! Come prepared with a poncho raincoat or get soaked. The water is warm and getting drenched is part of the fun. It is quite busy but there’s no rush and you can see and enjoy it all. Many friendly people and lots of opportunity to take photos.

The mighty Victoria Falls! Spectacular. Breath taking. Mind blowing. Awesome. And you will get very wet if going during the rainy season - march/April. Local price to enter US$7 per person - oap is free. Visitor is US$50 - a price a lot of people gasped at I must admit! It seems an astronomically big amount in comparison to locals....but - it is well worth the visit. Take your phones/cameras in a good water proof casing or plastic bag. Wear swim shorts or garments that dry very quickly. Put sun screen on as that sun can burn you even though you are cool from the spray.
Amazing place to visit.

Get ready to get soaking wet just from the waterfall spray! There is a really easy path with the most incredible views. We were quite entertained by some monkeys along the way.
Raquel Grama?o — Google review
Such an amazing place! The views of the waterfall are a lifetime memory that you won't want to miss.
We also did the trek down to the boiling pot which was disappointing as there was nothing there except you're just on the side of the river. No boiling pot. And it's very difficult with constant steps down for about 15 minutes and then coming back up the same, slippery steps of uneven rocks. Not too bad for a healthy person but if you have any mobility challenges you should not attempt the stairs. There are also a lot of baboons along the stairs to greet you which are harmless as long as you don't tempt them with any food or shiny objects or try to pet them.
We did not hire a guide for the waterfall and it was definitely not necessary. You can walk and see everything following the trail on your own. Unless you prefer to have someone to give you information and history but it's not necessaryin order to have the same excellent viewing experience. Definitely recommend to spend $2 and get a rain poncho upon entry to the waterfall trail.
Entrance into the national park for the waterfall is $20 USD per person.

Truly breathtaking! This majestic waterfall is a must do not just if you in the area but in general. There’s a stark contrast in what you see and experience depending on how full the Zambezi river is which varies throughout the year. Truly amazing. Make sure you get a poncho !

Victoria Falls, also known as 'the smoke that thunders', is a waterfall in Southern Africa on the Zambezi River at the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. It is just over 1.7km long and is broken up by various small islands, including Livingstone Island. At its deepest, the falls are 108m deep.
Jutta Hellmann — Google review
Victoria Falls, Zambia. Awesome place to visit. Especially this time when the waters are on their burst and trees and grass are green. Great experience, great atmosphere. Absolutely friendly people around. It's definitely a must visit, get soaked in the waters falling. You really wanna have this experience, believe me. Best time to visit is when there's a lot of water. Like this time.
Visit and Enjoy!

Amazing even while it is not peak season. Tickets are 30$ for south african residents which is not too bad. Got a little wet but had beautiful views.
Jacques Nell — Google review
One of the natural wonders of the world. Went in low season with less water but you are able to see the falls. In high season the mist from the water greatly obstructs your view.
Nick Casper — Google review
Incredible! Must see. Go during the dry season for best viewing. It's less water over the falls but that allows the best visibility.
While there book a helicopter with Flight of Angels to see the falls from above.

What can I say! Stunning. A must visit for anyone interested in the beauty of this earth
Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, situated on the banks of the Zambezi River, boasts a diverse range of wildlife including rhinos, elephants and giraffes. The park is home to Victoria Falls, known as "the Smoke that Thunders," which lives up to its reputation as one of the world's greatest natural wonders. Visitors can explore the impressive rainforest and witness firsthand the power and beauty of this magnificent waterfall.
Loved every second of the experience. The rain forest is a must see. Forget the ponchos and umbrellas. Getting wet is part of the fun!

The reason we gave this park 4 stars is its small and needs maintenance. We self-drove our car in and around the park….they really want to have you get a tour guide, but it’s unneeded. The bathrooms are rough at the entrance and the park needs to maintain the roads and signs. You get your fees paid, go in and start driving around the paths. Not all are clearly marked, but you can’t get lost as it’s all loops. We saw loads of wildebeest, zebra, impala, and warthogs. The cape Buffalo came out in the afternoon into the marshy grasslands and walked all around in front of us. The hippos were seen in the River! The elephants were all over the opposite river bank. We had a great drive! The rhino seem to be tracked and protected by a group of people/tour guides. They want you to pay them so they take you to them and view the rhino. It seemed a little too “unnatural” to us. We saw rhinos in the wild in Etosha and didn’t need to be led to them and pay an armed “guard/guide”. Again, the park is small and will only take you a few hours to drive slowly through and around.

This was such a beautiful park and a beautiful experience.
The Victoria Falls are amazing and glorious to behold. Definitely a must see location if you're ever in Livingstone
John-Dag Addy — Google review
Beautiful time of the year in Zambia, grass is green and weather much cooler. Though the green vegetation makes it hard to spot animals.
However, I've been there in the dry season and it's easy to spot animals. So I will post photos from different seasons.
It's the only park with the wide-mouthed rhinos. Elephants are usually there, incredible beasts !

This place is the perfect description of 'close to nature'. The Victoria Falls is magnificent! You have got to experience it at its peak. It's breath taking. You also get to see the wildlife so closely. No safari needed. Great place!
Chishala Chola — Google review
The park has no strict carnivores/ predators if we don't consider the Crocodiles. It has a decent variety of herbivores and omnivores and is one of the few places in the world you get to see white rhinos and elephants swimming as the park is part of a elephant corridor that elephants use to migrate to Botswana and back. I highly recommend visiting it. Also the are plenty of boats to choose from for a sunset cruise.
meebelo mukelabai — Google review
The park is quite impressive though it depends on time you visit it,
Its quite easy to find animals because of the small area of the park
I like it.

The smallest national park in Zambia but still you can see elephants, rhinos and water buffalos. There are no cats in the park

This park is housing the White Rhino, and only for that is worth visiting, although it has a other fauna yo enjoy too.

Had a private game drive with a seasoned game ranger who was very knowledgeable. Managed to see 7 out of the 10 endangered white rhinos. What a treat! A beautiful way to start the day. I highly recommend it
Kuzivakwashe Chikanda — Google review
Excellent park with 5 minutes of Livingstone. Definitely hire a ZAWA Ranger to guide you and get access to the rhinos. Also use an outfitter such as Funk Adventures for expert service and top-notch equipment
Craig Nixon — Google review
The park is located in the southern part of Zambia, in Livingstone. I absolutely enjoyed my game drive at the park. While the park is relatively small, it is home to a variety of wildlife. I got to see White Rhinos,Zebras, Buffalos, Gazelles, monkeys and some baboons. The park has got elephants as well but I was unlucky to spot any during my drive. While in the park, one can easily see the Zambezi River and spot some Hippos and crocodiles along the river side. The park provides a blend of natural beauty, wildlife and adventure making it a popular destination for visitors seeking a memorable African experience.
clifford ogutu — Google review
I've been working in this National park close to 4 years and I highly recommend it to travellers who wish to see the critically endangered white rhinos and a close distance on a walk.
The park has 3 of the big 5 mammals and depending on the season most of the time its not hard to see animals because of the small size of the park.
Interesting enough, we embarked on a 06:30am Rhino game drive safari with one Germany client with Daniel (ZAMSATO) and spotted a male leopard which obviously just wondered into the park since cats have not been introduced to this park.
Bright — Google review
Did a 6 or 7 hour game drive here. The park is a bit smaller than other national parks, so they can more easily protect the animals from poachers, which is why you can also find rhinos here.
Luuk — Google review
This includes the falls as well as a wildlife sanctuary. The park is OK for wildlife viewing but may seem disappointing if you have visited other national parks, but it is still good. However, this is a place where you can see wild rhino as part of a game drive. The park rangers lead guests on a short walk where you get the chance to see the Rhino up close but far enough away to not disturb them.

What a beautiful old time flair. Interior of the train is very tastefully done. The excursion to the bridge was special. The best place to take photo's is at the smoking area. On the bridge you will have a oppurtunity to take photos. Do not make conversation with the entrepeneurs they will not leave you alone to experience this wonder of the world, the waterfalls. You will be able to see a wonderful sunset.
The food as such was dissapointing. Chicken sosaties as a starter with Salmon Canapes and plain Chicken (supposed to be stuffed) as a main course. A Chocolate mouse with Berry sauce as dessert.
It was a three course meal. Not value for money would have expected a traditional African meat.
The staff however made up for the food. Professional, well informed. Very helpful.

Very expensive for what you get if you do the dinner train. The train itself is worth a look, but you can do that without paying to travel on it.
The dinner train basically trundles to Victoria Falls for a 30 minute stop. After that you park up in a siding for the actual dinner, which takes a very long time to process. Difficult to tell is this is still post Covid issues going on with staff training, but it's not an experience to recommend as things stand (Feb 2023).

The Livingstone Museum offers a rich showcase of local artifacts that provide insight into the history and culture of Zambia over several millennia. The exhibits cover various aspects of human development, including the use of magic and charms, which were prevalent prior to Christianity's widespread adoption. Although the displays may appear dated, they are an excellent resource for learning about Zambia's past without any religious bias. A visit to this museum is highly recommended for anyone interested in experiencing the cultural heritage of Livingstone town.
Lovely museum which provides an opportunity to learn about Zambia culture and history. Must visit while in Livingstone

Nice place to spend an hour or 2. Impressing (cool) building. Interesting stone age stuff. For me most impressing the collection of witchcraft items from the past. Also good to learn about Zambian history. Interesting sidefact - the potion for men. Good news for all other men - we are all having the same fears. The gift shop is quite good and low fixed prices. See also the East-German motorbike of independence leader Kauna.
Jörg Schöpfel — Google review
Despite the old and dated displays, the Livingstone Museum does have a wealth of local material that is exhibited to explain human development in Zambia over the last few thousand years without the incursion of Christian fervour. The best part of the Museum display covers the use of magic and charms that used to be more widespread in the culture before the mass spread of Christianity. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Livingstone town and looking for some cultural activities.

A quiet but lovely museum in the centre of Livingstone. The museum offers a great insight into the prehistorical era of Zambia and explains the country's way to independence in great detail, not to mention the special corner dedicated to Dr. Livingstone himself. In addition, the museum shows the great variety of the animals which used to/still roam the country. Great experience, recommended!

It's for sure one of the most interesting and organized museums I've visited in Africa. Plenty of information about the region starting from the ancient times until today. If you're in Livingstone, try not to miss it. The only downside is ventilation, which will hopefully get improved.

The best and largest museum in Zambia. Having enough collections to satisfy and ardent researcher. Enough galleries to satisfy the old and the young. Best displays on history, natural sciences and habitats both human animals and birds of Zambia.

Lots of useful information on Zambia, from geology to history, economics and politics.
Shame that the souvenir shop was closed or we would have purchased memorabilia merchandise.

Frustratingly, we only allocated ourselves an hour to look round this excellent museum - but I could easily have done with an additional hour. It is extremely well organised, telling the full history of Zambia, including a really fascinating exhibition detailing the contemporary (post independence) history and politics of Zambia. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was USD 5 per person to enter, and they took card payments. Unfortunately, due to Zambian electrical load sharing, we had to look round the museum in darkness with only the the help of our phone torches, but that only added to the experience - and certainly not the fault of the museum!

The galleries are all interesting with different lessons.
The second you jump off the ledge during a gorge swing you certainly feel at the mercy of nature during the drop. A truly exhilarating experience. There are plenty more activities within the vicinity including the flying fox, canopy tour and the Zipline. You just have to choose.

This was by far the most daring thing I have ever done. The staff at the gorge swing were very helpful and managed to calm my fears by talking me through everything that was to happen.
Ferzio Mampwe — Google review
No! Not worth it. If you have done ziplining before, you’ll be disappointed. It’s really just one line and you will get pulled back in to same shoreline by staff members. Not multiple passes and lines across the gorge. You pay $90 for a five second ride. Just make sure to get expectations set for it if you do it. Retrospectively I would not do it again. Honestly, it’s a rip off. You see the beautiful nature from the restaurant which is more then enough.

The Reptiles in the park were kept really in a bad condition hence I am rating this 3 stars. They treated the chameleon very brutally and also the turtles were in bad condition. And if you have no phobia, you might get to touch the harmless ones. The Crocs, a marvel if you have never seen Crocs up close. Also, they have turtles and chameleons. I'd recommend adding the crocodile park visit to the activities to the top 10 things to do in Livingstone.

So, as a part of the honeymoon I shared with my beautiful wife.
We visited the Livingstone Crocodile Farm. We even got to be there for feeding time!
There were turtles and snakes, but they weren't the big draw. Even though we did spend some time getting to know them.
But the big draw was the crocodiles, there were even tiny baby ones, making it very hard for me to imagine how they grow into giant reptiles, unchanged for 70-million years.
I would also like to register my amazement that they called one of their crocodiles Godzilla.

I loved how natural the aesthetics and feel of the park were. We got quite a real experience there as we got quite close to the crocodiles in their habitat. A tonne of activities to do with these guys. They have a great unlimited adrenaline package. They are also a tour operator and can link you to many activities around the falls. Amazing spot in the heart of Africa. Interesting history of former Northern Rhodesia. Livingstone once a boomtown with railway connections benefitting from the copper-belt. It attracted especially Jewish migrants from Eastern Europe - looking for a different life (pogromes started there in about 1900). During terrible German fascist times a couple of Jewish people managed to escape to here. While South Africa and Southern Rhodesia refused to issue Visa for Jews after 1939 it was still possible here. After independence many left the country …

It was such an insightful experience. The staff are very welcoming and the tour guide is willing to have everything explained to you for a better understanding. After having been to a couple markets both in Livingstone and Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, I can say this is the best one. It is a little less stressful than the others in terms of the vendors pressuring you to buy things and they don’t upcharge you as much as the vendors at other markets do. If you plan on buying souveniers or traditional crafts, go to Mukuni Park Curio Market and don’t waste your time at the others.
YAlnajjar — Google review
Located in the heart of Livingstone, Mukuni Park Curio Market is an essential stop for visitors looking to immerse themselves in Zambian culture and craftsmanship. The market is a sprawling space, teeming with an extensive range of locally-made products that captivate your senses. From intricately carved wooden crafts to vibrant traditional clothing, the diversity of items on offer is impressive.
Upon entering the market, you're immediately greeted by the warm smiles of local artisans who take immense pride in their crafts. As you stroll through the labyrinth of stalls, you'll find an array of curios, trinkets, and bangles, each telling a unique story of Zambia's rich heritage. These are not mass-produced items; the quality and craftsmanship are evident in every piece.
If you're on the hunt for something specific, such as traditional Zambian attire, you'll be spoiled for choice. There's an assortment of colorful chitenge fabrics, beaded jewelry, and other traditional wear that make for memorable gifts or keepsakes.
One crucial aspect to note is the art of bargaining. Haggling is part of the market culture, so don't shy away from negotiating prices. In fact, vendors expect it, and it’s part of the fun and interaction. If you're good at it, you might walk away with some fantastic deals.
Given that Mukuni Park Curio Market is a day market, it’s best to schedule your visit during daylight hours. The market doesn’t have extensive lighting, and the experience is best enjoyed under the sun when all the stalls are open and bustling.
In summary, Mukuni Park Curio Market offers an authentic and enriching experience, making it a highly recommended destination for anyone visiting Livingstone. Whether you’re a serious collector or a curious traveler, this market offers a chance to secure a tangible piece of Zambia's rich cultural tapestry.

In case you didn't buy a souvenir at the Falls, Mukuni Park can help you.
Good African artifacts and curious.

Lovely marketplace to check out all types of souvenirs. The sellers are very nice and friendly. I bargained a beautiful pair of waist beads to 50% of the quoted price. They even custom cut the beads for me on the spot! Lovely interaction. Tourists should check it out while they are in Livingstone.

David Livingstone Memorial Presbyterian Church (UPCSA)
The David Livingstone Memorial Presbyterian Church (UPCSA) in Livingstone is highly recommended for anyone in the area. The church service and sermon are both enjoyable, and it is a place where blessings can be received. Additionally, the church was visited back in 2005 and left a lasting impression due to its captivating beauty.
The church is a must attend if you are in Livingstone. I enjoyed the service and the sermon as well. Blessings

This is misleading information. The memorial site of Dr. David Livingstone’s heart is not here. This is a missing hit. His heart is in Chitambo, Zambia. I did Google search “Dr. David Livingstone Memorial National Monument Site,” and Google directed to this church.

I also worshipped at the congregation in 2005, when I was visiting Livingstone. A beautiful place.

Went for a funeral service. Didn't see much as I was sitted outside. But it's the only Presbyterian Church in Livingstone.
