Love this gem! Love the beautiful people of St. Lucia and their welcoming smiles! The basilica is absolutely amazing. It needs some restoration but doesn't lack in the awe department!

Great place of worship with many historical pieces. This place is like a museum of Catholic views. Take a tour to receive a wealth of knowledge on the history of the Catholic church.
Tafari — Google review
While in want of needed repair, the church is a fine example of the island's people and their Catholic faith. The stained glass windows were exceptional!
It was gratifying to see people there in prayer during our afternoon visit!

Beautiful paintings, need restoration, so help them if you can.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in St. Lucia in 2011. We visited Castries, and we saw this beautiful Cathedral- it is a very moving and spiritual place, and so unique- it's built of iron, and the walls have filigree to let air and light pass through. It's a must see.

Beautiful old church. Not much to see on the outside but the inside was lovely. Definitely worth seeing if you're in the area

I cannot believe that i visited St Lucia so many times and missed this beautiful spot. Now one of my favorite places. A wonderfully calm oasis in the midst of a hectic town. A beautiful building.

Simply beautiful and amazing visit to mass last night at the Minor Basilica of the immaculate conception in #stlucia. This was so uplifting and moving. 🙏🏻🤗😀

We only popped in - but wonderful art work all around. Without a grouchy toddler could have stayed a lot longer for a better look.
Not busy despite Saturday lunch time.

The Minor Basilica church is beautiful inside and out, if you are ever on the island Castries St. Lucia I recommend you take the time to see this stunning church. There's a park across the street with grass and several benches . There is a very old tree in the park lots of beautiful flowers.
The park was named after Derek Walcott he was commemorated the award of Nobel prize for literature in 1992. He was born in St Lucia.
La Toc Beach is a beautiful beach located in Castries. It's perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and kayaking, but beware of beach vendors.
Nice beach within sandals resort

Lovely strip of beach, however if you are wanting to complete water sports then go to the Grande instead. The water is typically red or yellow flagged due to larger waves, so harder access. The beach its self is extremely clean and well maintained
Nicola Deaton — Google review
Great beach. Big, clean, A bit of a pain to get to if you arent staying on a resort on the beach itself, but not nearly as hard to get to as say Sugar Beach. I would say its a top 3 beach on the island, close second to Reduit.
Gus Mestousis — Google review
Bautiful beach, bad public access path. Park at Sandals guest parking and walk down.
Vladan Myška — Google review
This beach has personality, the waves are so calming and etch out different depths in the sand. Beautiful large beach.

Staying at Sandals La Toc St Lucia. Beautiful sand beaches, warm waters, excellent food and choices of 7 restaurants but have to say the rooms are a little dated, but clean 😎

Really lovely. Had a refreshing cold drink while watching the world go by
Mt Fortune is a breathtaking summit with the remnants of the Apostles Battery from the 1800s. Visitors can enjoy stunning vistas of both the North of St. Lucia and even Martinique, particularly on clear days. It offers lovely sights that are definitely worth exploring for anyone seeking natural beauty and historical interest.
Awesome view of the North of St. Lucia and even Martinique on a clear day.

So it's still nice😄😄
Stopped here briefly when passing. Someone walked me through the woodworking bit, the big pieces and then into the small piece shop. Loved hearing a little about it, but they weren’t pushy in any way.
Incredible art. Loved seeing the work - and didn’t think it was in reasonable prices (aimed at tourists).
They have good toilets too!

Fabian took us to the Eudovic Art Studio & we had one of the best times touring & looking up close his work. This joint is the real deal. Had to grab a few artwork to add to our collection. It is your turn to go check it out & you will love it.

Some beautiful and very inventive pieces of art here. A must visit place if your looking for an interesting piece of art either large or small.
Keith Kay — Google review
We visited Eudovic's Studio on an excursion with Celebrity Edge. After brief visit to studio to see an artist at work and many unfinished abstract wood carvings, we moved onto 2 other cottages to see ( or to buy) finished works. We were told that all woodwork is crafted by hand. Beautiful abstracts from 8" talk to 5ft. Also many masques.
Very friendly staff who seemed knowledgeable about types of wood.
Unless you are serious about purchasing, the tour requires about half-hour.
Paula Lyons — Google review
We were able to watch work on his wooden sculptures. He does everything by hand. We purchased a small sculpture called progress. Very intricate.
Bob Healey — Google review
Incredible works of wooden art. Mr. Eudovic's large sculptures are museum quality. We enjoyed meeting him and seeing his stunning collection of sculptures. I have never seen such quality craftsmanship, merits being a national heritage for St. Lucia. We were misled by Google maps. I submitted a correction to Google and hopefully it has been approved by the time you read this review. The location is on the main road with a clearly marked sign on the right hand side when coming from Castries. When we called them, they helped us find the way.

Gorgeous place full of incredible art and so much more. Recomend to go and buy a basket of spices! It smells really good and you can mix them with almost anything. Good place to go with the family!
Castries Central Market is a vibrant hub for local vendors selling handmade crafts and fresh produce, including native fruits such as guavas, mangoes, coconuts and bananas. The market's bustling atmosphere is at its peak on Saturday mornings when farmers bring their spices and harvests to sell. It's an excellent opportunity to engage with the locals while shopping for authentic souvenirs like trinkets and jewelry.
Vendors are very friendly. I recommend taking a walk through all of the shops before making purchases. Many hold the same or similar goods. When bartering with EC, have your calculator out to convert prices. Be clear, confident and respectful and they will work with you to find a price you both can feel good about.
During my experience I found the quickest way to purchase items was to start by offering a price I thought to be “fair” (with consideration to the quality of product and how much I would pay for it in the states).
Personally, I think it helps if your goal isn’t the lowest price possible, but a price both you and the vendor can feel good about!

Fantastic open market with fruits and vegetables, that are fresh and reasonalble priced. Fun place to visit and mix with locals.

Some local items mixed with Chinese imports. Too many booths of the same things. Quite a few empty booths too. Dark in many places. Some local spices, fruit, etc

Enjoyed stopping here. Lots of locals selling and had a great atmosphere. Went when there were quite a few cruise ships in but didn’t feel too crowded. Went at 11:00 and was still going strong.
Lots of repeated produce and touristy things, but loved the food stuff. Look around as different prices on every stall.
Great stimulus for a toddler!

Great place to interact with the locals. Guavas, mangoes, Coconuts, bananas etc. fresh and just off the farm. Enjoyed the most delicious fruit breakfast and only £2! I am visiting Creole Kitchen again to taste their delicious food! A bottle of pure fresh natural Guava juice for Rs: 100

It was okay, hard to just browse as the vendors are on it in trying to encourage you to buy their products. Bought some local hot sauces but then discovered that we paid more than double compared to the supermarkets.

Nice duty free shopping plaza next to cruise ship. Has taxi stand for excursion. Lots of shops and bars. Good selection of local gifts. Near fishing dock and Castries marketplace. Lots of shade. Nice view of the harbor.

Shopping, access islimitwd to the port terminal area. Hand sa itizatiin is demanded going into each shop. Mandatory mask wearing also social distancing. There is a curfew at 4 o'clock every day.
H J Melnick — Google review
Fore some reason we disembarked on the other side, a different port. This is not my first time visiting St Lucia so I wanted to go to this particular port. I walked 20 minutes, from one port to the other, to get scammed. I paid 18 dollars for the Marigot Bay at the Rum Shop. Then had to go to Massy (supermarket) and it was selling for 12 dollars. Then went to another duty free liquor store, across the street from my port, next to a clothing store, and it was selling for the same 12 dollars. So basically the item I bought was not duty free as advertised. Soooo, some people sell it for 12 and still make money, here they sell it for 18, under false pretenses (duty free), thats greed. Oh well fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Gave them three stars because the place is nice ....

Easy access to the plethora of local beaches via taxi. Close to town if you want to see how the locals live, or find fresh produce, or see a museum.

the removal of the wall surrounding the square was not a practical move. although the square looks a bit more spacious, its location means that the sun is more profound in that area making it difficult to fine shade or comfortable seating
I attended the Anglican infant and primary schools and remember our class attending church service at least twice a week. As we got ready to make our first communion, church attendance increased to 3-4 days a week. This was certainly great grounding for my spiritual life which serves me well today. Hopefully our school kids can return to regular church service after the pandemic ends.

Antillia Brewing Company is the sole craft brewery in St. Lucia, offering a range of artisanal ales including Golden Wheat and Stout at their spacious drinking hall in Rodney Bay. Visitors stumbled upon the brewery tap by chance and were delighted by the Formidable IPA and citrusy Naked Fisherman IPA. The brewery has relocated to the oval shopping complex but continues to serve its own local beer on draft, with friendly staff and a great atmosphere.
Lovely bar and staff next to port selling some top notch tasty local IPA's. Lovely views, a must see for a few lazy beers if visiting Castries area

Very good beers at the cruise terminal ( before passport control) nice vibes and super friendly staff. A good place after a day full of excursions.
The beers are also very good quality, at a good price.

Great micro brewery! The Passionfruit ale was so juicy and good. Great setting in the cruise terminal and the bar next door has entertainment which adds to the atmosphere.
$5 USD for a beer and they take card for purchases more than $10 USD. The card machine charges in East Caribbean Dollars so don’t get a fright!

This bar is still open, but it has moved to opposite Rum Therapy in the oval shopping complex.
This bar brews its own local beer which is available on draft.
Staff are very friendly, in particular Chad, who was very enthusiastic and the ladies behind the bar.
Recommend the 2 stouts which were available when I visited.

Some great craft beers are sold here but a lot of them were not available when we were there. The IPAs were delicious but the prices are quite high for a 325ml can at 6 USD per can.

The bar area is towards the back of the port complex. No access to the ships but worth the short walk to it. The wooden shack has a style of its own and excellent views over the estuary. Friendly service. Free WiFi. Nearby bar often has entertainment which adds to atmosphere.

It doesn't get any better than this. Caribbean craft beer. The Admirable rum cask IPA was incredible. If you'd rather something a little lighter then their passion fruit ale is light and refreshing.

We found the Antillia brewery tap at the cruise ship port quite by chance. It is at the left end, amongst the shops. We’re so happy that we tripped over it!
The Formidable IPA at 7.5% is indeed formidable, and the citrusy Naked Fisherman IPA is even better still!
A small bar with great vibe, super-friendly barman, and the brewer was present too. What more could we ask for?
Highly recommended.
Remnants of the wars fought between the British and French for our Island.

This is an easily accessible spot with a great vista. The Battery has a parking area off the road and a short walk brings you to the structures. They have been restored by a local business and the area is clean. You can climb all around the Battery but can't go inside the locked doors without a guide. As forts go in comparison to others, it is a small site but well maintained. Takes about half an hour or less to see and be gone.
Tammy Swart — Google review
It's closed... nothing to see here.

There is a nice view, but the old battery was not that impressive. There are no guns mounted, but the foundation is largely intact.
