Gros Islet jump up is a popular tourist attraction in St. Lucia that takes place every Friday from sunset onwards. It is not strictly a bar, but locals set up tables on the street and play reggae music through powerful sound systems. There are plenty of food options available, including spicy chicken, lobster and conch served at barbeques. Visitors can also purchase local arts and crafts from stalls or enjoy Piton beers and rum punch from tabletop bars.
An exquisite Caribbean street party experience. A "must do" on any trip to Saint Lucia

Great experience. Good vibes lots of entertainment. Definitely work with 💰. Generally the food around needs more flavor 😋 .

Was ok. Plenty of stalls to buy reasonably priced alcohol & food tellers.
DJ is loud. There was a fight that broke out but music stopped and Police sorted it very quickly and people went back to partying.
Didn't find St Lucians easy to speak or dance with. Only an American I ended up having a great chat with.

Vibrant and busy place.
Lots of local food outlets.
Even more drinks places.
2 hours is probably long enough, it got busy from 8:30pm
We were there 3 hours and got a little bored and had enough to drink.
It's not huge, probably 2 blocks long.
Lots of weed being smoken, too.

To charge USD90 per person for something you can take a $20 taxi to for up to 4 people is the most overpriced "deal" I've ever seen.
We drove our rental car to the Friday Party - walked around - had drinks and food and drove home - no additional charge ...
And if you don't have a car, take a taxi...

The best food for me was Friday Night Fish Fry. All the mommy's and auntys cooked their best food. What a delicious experience 😋

Disappointed.
Get a taxi at 20 USD each way. The 80 USD (4 people) tour adds little to no value as there is no entrance fee. We paid 20 USD per person and then paid for a taxi to return to our hotel as there was no need to spend anymore time there. The tour does not include drinks, food, or entrance fees to clubs.
The street food is interesting, tough, overcooked, and overpriced. There was music, but this was very loud, making it impossible to order food or drink. There are no signs and no prices. Get you FX from a bank ATM for the best rate. You will only need to spend an hour there at most.
If you don't mind helping the local economy, then go ahead, but I wouldn't recommend taking a tour or paying for overpriced poor quality food. The Piton beers were 5 ECD where some restaurants charge 5 USD. Why pay if you are staying at an all-inclusive hotel and the food is safe to eat.
In summary, eat and drink at your hotel, then take a taxi to the street party. You can then choose to eat or drink there.

Didn't get there. Walked from Rodney Bay Marina... mistake! Some young punk tried to steal my purse steps from the party. Party pooped. Took a taxi home after I yelled and scared the young punk away. Grrrrrr. Purse was saved!!!! If you go, learn from me and take a cab

If you are looking for the Friday night fish fry on google maps, search for jump up and that’s the correct location.
Bring local money or you will get a very unfavorable exchange rate at the stands.
Go around 9pm for food/music! Walk if you are staying nearby.

Not really our scene. Ate at a local restaurant. You go up to a counter and order (can’t see the food) and it came in a styrofoam container. It was okay but not good. Lots of people approaching or calling you over to buy trinkets, folding tables set up as “bars” with lots of liquor which I assume has no quality control, joints sold in the street. Did not see any dancing —- just drinking.
Pros: lots of music (but none live), seafood cooked on outdoor grills
We went there from an AirBNB so it was just a cab ride. Go if you want to see some local nightlife as there were both locals and tourists. Do not go if you have to pay anything to get there or drive more than 15 min. We stayed 45 minutes and left.

Splash Island is a family-friendly open-water sports park located on Reduit Beach in St. Lucia, offering inflatable obstacle courses for young guests to enjoy. The water is clear and kids have a blast playing on the various equipment, supervised by lifeguards. It's well worth checking out if you're visiting this beautiful Caribbean island!
Kids had a blast. Very affordable and safe. They have lifeguards on the equipment and everyone wears a life vest. 1 hour was a good amount of time.
If you end up on this beach with kids this is well worth the time.

less a water park, more of an american ninja warrior course. We did one hour here, which was plenty. I left with multiple bruises and a bleeding knee. I had to accept that there was no way I was getting to the top of any of the tall things to jump or play on the slides. the rest of the course was a challenge and quite fun. Make sure you have health insurance if you play on this, you could easily end up hurt.

Fun place. All floats are in good conditions. However, the operating hours are not as posted and although it was included with our stay at Bay Gardens, we didn't get alot of time on it because it was closed at times when it was supposed to be open. Shout out to Earl and Kellan the life guards -- they are great!

Worth the money but one hell of a workout! The lifeguards Shane and Belinda (sp?) were awesome and really enhanced our experience.

Fun, very enjoyable, kids loved it. Everyone in the park is required to wear a life vest regardless of swimming ability. Life guard is on duty when it's open, but the kids did not like the guard cause they blame her for falling back do the slide(they perception). Great value if it's included in vacation package.

Have you ever wanted to compete on American Ninja Warrior? This is your chance! For a reasonable hourly fee you can test your athleticism in a fair amount of obstacles in the water park.
Be mindful you should have a fair amount of upper body strength and good balance to have an enjoyable time. After 45 minutes I was spent. Park had a lot of age ranges of people so I did have a short wait for a few activities. I would say the best age range would be 10-45 years old and be in really good physics strength.
And, if you drive yourself then park at Spinnakers. It’s a large free parking lot and only a 5 minute walk.
Jerry Ratigan — Google review
It's a cool spot but I personally think they should have a "half hour" pass as well. Currently they only have passes for 1 hour, half day and full day. They also do not accept Euro.

It was pretty fun, I found it quite slippery and fell a lot, so if you're clumsy like me then be prepared to fall a lot. They don't have everything shown in the picture like the volleyball net and teeter-totter thing, but other than that it's the same. My only complaint is that some of the velcro was not super strong so when I fell my foot would sometimes get caught which was not super fun, but I was the only one in my family that had that problem. The lifeguards are super chill and will help you figure some stuff out. Shane was one of the lifeguards that I had and he helped me with some of the thingies I couldn't figure out. All in all, it was pretty fun, but just be careful in some of the areas.

Fun. Fun. Fun located on a private beach owned by Bay Gardens Beach & Resort. Open to public for a fee or free if you stay at any of the three Bay Garde resorts. Lifeguards on duty and life jackets required. Bounce, jump and climb. You'll spend hours on the inflatable course.

My wife, Angela, and I had the most wonderful worship experience this morning at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in St. Lucia!👍🏾👍🏾. Msgr. Michel Francis gave a great 30 minute sermon about the 1st and 2nd readings and of course the Gospel…without a single written note!👋🏾 The children’s Choir sung beautifully 🎶🎶. We also noticed how well dressed all children at mass were especially the little girls who all had on pretty dresses (we don’t see that in the US every Sunday🤣). Thanks to everyone at SJW who made our worship so special. God bless you all!🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.

Beautiful old school church, we stopped here on a tour from a Carnival Cruise Line and it was nice to see old buildings. I'm not a religious person but the the inside of the church was even more beautiful than the outside, but out of respect didn't want to take pictures of the inside in case the locals got offended.

Attending a cricket match for the first time ever in life at the Darren Sammy cricket grounds was a great experience. The seats have curved backs, which are a great thing and I feel that regardless of where you sit, you will get a decent view of the field. My recommendation is to get a larger screen or several that create a large one, an additional screen on the other side of the stadium, and another scoreboard that you can see on the other side of the stadium. I would def go to another cricket match there. P. S. I also liked that you could purchase tix online and that there was security doing bag checks.

Lovely ambience with a variety of options but no local food. If you want British, American, Japanese, Thai or Spanish food, you're set, though. Provides for yatchies with amenities like boat-repair, a bank, vacation clothing stores, a mini-mart, and showers for yatch clients. However, the quality of amenities and services could be improved.
All restaurants take last order around 9:30 to close by 10pm.

Friendly, safe, helpful people, well priced and lots of amenities. Even yoga a few times a week by the pool. Very resort style Marina - which was great for us as we were stuck waiting for weather to clear. Good Restaurants, Chandlery and Massys the grocery store a quick ride away. Only issues were the washrooms - hot water for showers plus toilet paper refill! Very first world issues!

This is a safe and well maintained marina that feels very American with some water-front properties on one side. There are security guards at every entry point and stay there 24/7. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, including a sushi place. There is a mini mart with some provisions but it is rather expensive. Both customs and marina office are located upstairs.
WiFi is good and free, bathrooms are ok but the floor is very slippery when wet and there was no hot water when we stayed there. Water at the dock is expensive and there is a 100g minimum. We used almost 200 gallons and paid over 30 US dollars for it.

Great place to relax and be in touch with nature especially the steady breeze and splashing waves from the Atlantic Ocean. This place is an artificially created connection between the "mainland" island and pigeon island. Now we don't have do boat or swim we drive but the additional coastline created is awesome, additional beach space was also created on the other side (Caribbean Sea) but most of it is now occupied by hotels/resorts.

This is definitely a place to check out with the whole family. There’s free parking right along the beach if you’re driving. To enter inside the national park to climb up to Fort Rodney and Signal Peak there’s a $10 dollar fee per person. If part of your group chooses not to walk through the national park they can wait just outside the park and hangout on the beach, go for a swim, do a little shopping at the few huts available or eat at the 2 or 3 restaurants on the beach. There are chair and umbrella rentals on the beach. It is a public beach which is free and open to everyone. Pigeon island is right next door to a private resort. Fort Rodney is inside the national park and is about a 25 minute walk to the top from the entrance and then about 15 minutes from there you can walk across to the top of signal peak. The walk up varies from rocky, flat, dirt path, steep stairs, flat steep inclines and narrow paths. It’s all worth the views once you’re up top to take pictures. The restaurant inside the national park is Jambe de bois and has good food. This is a private restaurant only for patrons who pay to go inside the national park. So it’s quite, relaxing and you can also go for a swim.

Great easy hikes with lots of island history. Fantastic views of the surrounding area once you get up to some of the higher elevations. The trails are all fairly easy, but there are some steep rocky sections and one set of ladder steps which may pose a problem for those with mobility issues

Absolutely beautiful park with well preserved fort ruins. Perfect spot to spend and entire day with space for a shaded picnic, sandy beach, miles of hiking trails, and the beach restaurant is not to be missed.
Pack plenty of water and stout shoes if you plan to hike to either summit and I would recommend doing so early or late in the day as it's not a gentle slope.
Pack your water and then double it, as the heat is coupled with a dry breeze atop the lookouts.
Small but well presented museum with a large collection of Arawak artifacts; not something you see very often.
If I had one suggestion for improvement, it would be more interpretive signage. Some buildings are missing signs entirely, so knowing what's where before you go is helpful.
The one site we were not able to find were the Carib fighting emplacements, but I believe that was due to washed out trails which may be recent.
If you are staying at a resort on Rodney Bay and take a cab to the site in the morning, you can possibly catch an informal water taxi back to your beach, which we did by asking at the restaurant. The boat ride home was a highlight of our day. Thank you Malachi!

This was our 3rd visit to St Lucia via a cruise. We have always done islands tours in the past. This time I really wanted to get to Pigeon Island park. We made a big adventure out of it. We took the city bus from town and then walked from the bus stop to the park. Such a pretty walk.
Pigeon park was beautiful. The hike to the top was a little steep, we made the mistake of going up a goat trail rather than the main trail up, but so worth the climb. The views were incredible.
When we came back down we ate a picnic lunch and enjoyed floating/swimming before heading back to the ship port. Great day!!

Pigeon Island in Saint Lucia is a must-visit destination for anyone visiting the island. With its breathtaking scenery and peaceful atmosphere, it offers a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. Most of the time, the park is not crowded, so visitors can enjoy its beauty without being bothered by large crowds.
As you approach Pigeon Island, you'll be welcomed by the serene ambiance of a beautiful beach situated to your left. You can rent a comfortable deck chair and bask in the sun while savoring a refreshing drink. During my time on the island, I made a habit of visiting this beach every Sunday morning as part of my running routine, and it remains one of my fondest memories.
Please note that there is also a sea to your right, but it can be quite rough and unsuitable for swimming or sunbathing. It is advisable to avoid entering the water from this side for your own safety."
Keep in mind that there is an entry fee to enter the park, and it varies for tourists and residents of St. Lucia. However, I am not sure about the exact amount. If you're feeling adventurous, you can also take a leisurely hike up the hill, where well-manicured paths lead to stunning panoramic views. Although I won't go into detail about its rich history, I highly recommend that you research it online, as there is a significant story behind this incredible place.
My personal favorites are visiting Pigeon Island during sunrise and sunset. It's an experience that you won't forget and I encourage you to visit this beautiful park and share your own memories with others."
