Colombier Beach is an idyllic cove that boasts white sands, crystal-clear waters, and verdant surroundings. It's a remote locale that offers serene views of marine life such as turtles, sting rays, schools of fish, and coral reefs along the edges. Access to the beach requires a 300-meter hike with sturdy shoes being essential.

What an epic location. Went for the hike. Wish I had brought towels and small cooler to hang out for a while. Amazing and no one around. Honestly before gets to hot. Be prepared to hike back up - goes straight up pretty much. Sneakers are a must.

A sanctuary apart from the busy St Barth life, it’s a bit of a hike to get to the beach but you get to see views after views. You’ll meet goats and turtles along the way before reaching a very quiet place where there’ll mostly just be you all by yourself. I recommend going there on a sunny day … as the ocean is just magnificent when the sun is fully out.

Blown away by how serene, clear & beautiful this remote beach is. Don’t go without snorkeling equipment. We saw turtles, sting rays, schools of fish and many reefs/ corals along the edges. Sturdy shoes are a must for the 300 meter hike

Phenomenal beach with great snorkeling. It’s not crowded since you need to hike around 10 minutes to get there. Its also a nature preserve so you stand to see some sea turtles

It’s a little home to get here from Flamands, or anchor your boat in Anse des Colombier but this is a very private place with very limited access. No access by vehicles at all. But it is BEAUTIFUL and worth the effort to get here.
Steve Fish — Google review
Our family started the hike on the Oceanside trail (following the cliffs). Everything was manageable for 3/4 of the trail, but the last 1/4 was too challenging for my parents (60s) and they had to turn around. It got very narrow and required some bouldering without any protection if you slipped. They were nervous because of the threat of rain (wet trails) and it was also very very windy. My husband and I continued and were rewarded with a beautiful, secluded beach.
The hike (in my opinion) is worth it, but you should be self aware of your physical ability and comfort with heights.
Nathalie Kovinkov — Google review
Great hike but make sure you start going back from beach at sunset as forest hike is dark later. Great place that locals go to get a amazing private beach. Its a long walk up and done.

This beach took a hike to get to. No other way except by boat. You will need good shoes, no flip flops.
Connie Sterbenz — Google review
As most of the beautiful beaches of St. Barth this is a splendid secluded beach with extra fine golden sand situated in the natural reservation of the island, north-west side. If you are coming by foot (as I would recommend) following the path you can observe some of the best views on the planet. Most of the visitors (which are not so many) choose to get a boat or a yacht trip over there but I recommend to go on foot to feel the real party.
Don't hesitate to go over there if you spent some time in St. Barth, you'll thank me later but don't spread the word after ;)

Classic, iconic and quintessential hike to do in Saint Barths. The beach at the bottom is gorgeous and secluded
Anse de Grande Saline is a remote, secluded bay in St Barth known for its long, white sandy beach and excellent snorkeling spots. The beach offers both clothing-optional and clothed sections for tourists to enjoy. Good waves make it perfect for bodysurfing while the cliff and small reef offer great opportunities for snorkeling. The bay's natural beauty is complemented by the presence of naturists on either side of the beach.
Without a doubt Best beach in St Barth! If you forget a suit just go left when you hit the beach from trail.

Best beach in St Barth! Long secluded beach with good waves for bodysurfing. Naturists on either side of the beach. Clothed tourists in the center. Good snorkeling along the cliff and the small reef in front of the beach.

Shell Beach is a picturesque tropical shore with a unique location resulting in an abundance of charming seashells that wash ashore. While it may not be the most notable among St. Barth's impressive array of beaches, it is worth visiting for its scenic views and as a convenient stop on the way to Fort Carl. Additionally, Shell Beach provides an ideal vantage point for watching one of the island's stunning sunsets.
Picturesque beach straight out of a movie. Beer, spirits and great food steps away at Shellona.
Ray G — Google review
Not a typical Saint Barths beach. It is crowdy since it is a few minutes away from the city center and it is relatively small compared to the other beaches. A good spot for end-of-day long-exposure photography.

Really cozy beach cove. mostly shells for sand so little tough on your feet barefoot
Richard Scalesse — Google review
Unique in that there were more shells than sand. Water was clear and great beach
David Cincotta — Google review
A different than all of the beaches I visited on this Island or the Anguilla/st. Martin. Instead of white sand there are millions of shells here (and gray sand below). There is also an amazing reef here if you want to snorkel with many different types of fish some of which I have never seen before. Definitely worth a visit especially if you come for a day trip to st. Barth. If you want some intimacy you can go far in the left and hide between the rocks.
Maciej Polakowski — Google review
Beautiful secluded and private beach. Millions of shells as advertised and the water is crystal clear. Due to the many shells, bring water shoes as the shells will hurt your feet. There is a restaurant being remodeled nearby but if not there is nowhere to change clothes, so either do so before hand or use the big boulders on the beach to go behind, again there's tons of privacy on this beach.

Perfectly nice beach, covered with cute little shells (hence the name). Worth checking out for a bit if you plan to walk up Fort Carl and take in the views there, but far from a must see on an island full of incredible beaches--but if you want a location to see one of St. Barth's beautiful sunsets, this beach would be great.
Mike H. — Google review
If you're looking for a great beach on St Barth this one is easy to reach. If you're visiting from surrounding islands by ferry it is within easy walking distance from the port.
Hiring a cab to get around the island can be expensive - between €20-€30 for a 10 minute drive. If you're not a confident driver I highly recommend the cab/taxi as the hills can be difficult to negotiate and the roads quite narrow and steep.
The water clarity at Shell Beach is amazing, so be sure to take your snorkeling gear along with you! If you have sensitive feet be sure to wear protective swimming shoes on the beach as the beach is largely made up of broken shell and can be rough on one's feet.
Be sure to take enough water with you if you wish to save on drinks etc as the prices on St Barth can be quite high. On the upside beer was €1 a bottle at the local supermarket located opposite the port. Take plenty of sunblock!
This beach is awesome! Have a great time and let me know how you rate your experience!
Just a short climb up some steep stairs to the top. Wonderful views of Shell Beach and Gustavia. Not much of a fort any more.

A Short hike to get to the view point!
It take about 10-20 mins to reach the top and it’s quite sunny. Don’t forget to take headwear and sun protection.
The notice Board on top is only French, so cant quite understand what is the description about the place.
The tower viewer on the top is interesting to look at.

Comparing to the forts on the St. Martin it's just a hill. Nothing left from the former fort, however it is still worth visiting for the views of the sea, Gustavia and the Shell beach. The climb is relatively short but quite steep.

Plage des Flamands is a serene and unspoiled beach that boasts an idyllic stretch of ivory sand lined with low hills and succulent vegetation. While there are no facilities or services available on this picturesque shore, visitors can bring their own food and drinks to enjoy amidst the tranquility of the surroundings. However, it is advisable to exercise caution when visiting with children or elderly people during windy days as the waves and currents may pose some danger.

Saint-Jean Beach, located in the picturesque Caribbean island of Saint Barthélemy, is a popular tourist destination known for its stunning white sandy expanse and crystal-clear turquoise waters. The beach is a favorite among families and visitors who enjoy swimming in the beautiful water. Although some visitors have noted that the sand can be gritty, this doesn't take away from the overall beauty of the beach.

Hotel Le Toiny is a luxurious establishment that offers upscale suites and villas, a spa, fine dining options, an open-air bar, and a beach club. The villa accommodations are exquisitely designed with no detail overlooked. The staff is highly professional and friendly, always ready to assist guests in any way possible. Guests can enjoy delicious meals from the breakfast menu or at the beach club or order room service.
We had the most wonderful time at Hotel Le Toiny! Our villa was beautiful, not one detail was missed. The staff was so friendly, professional, and helpful. We did not have a bad meal here- everything on the menu for breakfast, at the beach club, and room service was delicious! Stayed here for 5 nights and loved it. It is extremely private and calm. Food and service is amazing. We usually stay at a private villa when we visit St Barths so to be able to have a villa feel yet a boutique hotel with all the amenities and service needed, it is the perfect balance. The only thing I didn't love (yet my wife actually did love) was that you have to take short ride down to the beach and the beach is not really swimmable in my opinion. But - the lunch is amazing. There is also amazing hiking in the area.

We did not stay at Le Toiny, but my husband took me there for my birthday dinner. We started off at the beach bar which had amazing views. We then headed up to the restaurant which again has amazing views. When we ordered a bottle of wine from the wine menu the price was listed as 90 Euros. Our server came back and said the price on the menu was incorrect and that the real price was 175 Euros! We ordered Quail Fois Gras as an appetizer which was very good. The entree were just Ok! We ordered the Lobster and Mai Mai. The portions are quite small for the price. When it came time to pay we paid in US dollars which is pretty much at par with the Euro they charged us an extra $55US. I asked why they are charging so much extra and the waitress replied this is what they charge when you pay in US dollars. We have been island hopping for the last week and a half and this is the only time we have been paying extra with our US dollar

We were so impressed with the peaceful relaxing quality of this hotel. All the staff we worked with were friendly and professional. I felt like we were in a beautiful high end hotel room set into the side of a tropical mountainside. The view was far enough from the water to avoid the salty humidity (we were also here in January) but close enough to hear the soothing sound of waves in the distance. We barely knew other guests were around, even in the villas next to ours. The restaurant was fantastic, better than some of the mainstays in town. It is on the less settled side of the island which we liked. We rented a car for daily excursions into town and the surrounding beaches and it was very nice to have our own parking spot near our room.
I can't say enough it was truly worth the visit.
Two years later. We returned for another long weekend. Spectacular yet again.

Returned from a five (5) night stay yesterday, first time to St Barths. Le Toiny exudes understated elegance...with the exception of the gorgeous views of Anse Toiny which are breathtaking. This hotel is the epitome of class - from the accommodations, dining and first-class service. Just understand that Le Toiny is not a destination for nightlife and action (go to Eden Rock for that) - this is a retreat for five star relaxation, privacy and non-stuffy grandeur.

Our stay at Le Toiny was an absolute dream come true. From the moment we arrived, we were met with impeccable service that catered to our every need. The food was exquisite, offering a delightful array of gourmet dishes that tantalized our taste buds. Our room was a haven of comfort and luxury, providing us with stunning views, a ginormous plunge pool and a sense of tranquility. The ambiance throughout the resort was enchanting, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere. Without a doubt, Le Toiny proved to be the highlight of our week in St. Barts, and I cannot recommend this extraordinary hotel highly enough. It truly exceeded all expectations and left us with unforgettable memories.
Ps, we normally travel just as couple when coming to St. Barts. This was the first time we brought our 6 year old and I have to say the resort does a wonderful job not only with couples but also with families. We never felt uncomfortable (sometimes luxury hotels aren’t ultra kid friendly) but Le Toiny welcomed us with open arms. I could easily see a family or couple having the time of their lives here.

I don't even know where to start.. this was the BEST vacation we (husband and I) have ever been on. We were looking in the Caribbean for a 5 year wedding anniversary trip. We had been to aruba and doted about going back. We wanted to have some place with privacy and our own villa but still a part of a hotel/resort if possible. I stumbled upon Le Toiny and now the people in my life will rue this day - because I will now NOT STOP talking about how incredible it was. It was our first time in st barths and we have decided we will never stay anywhere by Le Toiny. It was the most magical, clean, delicious, private, beautiful week. I have no complaints or nothing bad to say. In fact, in our transport to the airport, we were asked about any improvements that Le Toiny could make and I was at a loss, because I had no changes. The views are to die for. The staff? INCREDIBLE. they are soley concerned with you having THE BEST time. Housekeeping? amazing. Food quality and taste? out of this world (we ate at Le Toiny a majority of the time here - would recommend going to bonito but other than that, we were so content with staying at Le Toiny. The beach club feels like a dream. I really can't say enough good things. We will be back and talking ad nauseam about it until we are!

By FAR the best hotel on the island in our opinion. The setting, service, food, and serenity were all exquisite. We can’t wait to return - all of the staff were so kind and made us feel so welcome. It has a really special family feeling. Thank You Hotel Le Toiny
Its about a 25 min hike along an edge path and 30 foot climb done. Yes, it can be a little dangerous if you do not pay attention. Other than that it is fine. Make sure you follow the path of previous people who went there. You will see by the worn pathway that sometimes may not appear clear. Just keep on going. There are many area of loose rocks so plus be careful. Once you get to the edge of the pools, there is a climb down and you can see where it is, and again be careful climbing down. No need for rope or other materials. Climbing back up is so much more easier. The pool has 3 areas. On the right is quite shallow. On the left, there are 2 pools there to enjoy. There is sand at the bottom of each however getting to them over the rocks can be challenging. Recommend bring water shoes with you as the rocks can wear down on your feet. Plus, the are baby sea urchins there in black and red. The spiny parts can enter your skin and may not come out so easily. Go there between 10 and 2pm, after that the sun goes behind a hill and maybe treacherous to return especially walking on the edge of the cliffs. The goats there will not come near you so don't worry. Enjoy this!

Villa Marie has all the trappings of a 5 star hotel without being pretentious. Sonia (GM) and her staff couldn’t do enough for us. Service was very impecable yet friendly. The main house is divine and so was our room (Palm Room). The interiors captures the Caribbean spirit and the gardens and pool area is a tropical paradise. We loved our time so much, we extended so if St Barths is on your bucket list, make Hotel Villa Marie your home on the island.
