La Quebrada is a well-known tourist attraction in Acapulco, featuring high oceanfront ledges that are famous for cliff-diving shows. Professional high divers perform daily shows for the public, diving 35 meters from the cliffs into the sea below. They must wait for the right moment and avoid serious injuries by timing their dives with incoming waves. The depth of water in the "Gulch" can vary depending on the waves but averages at 12 feet.
Climbing down the steps were scary and then up was a workout! But it was an amazing experience to see how the brave men dive into the waters. Please make sure to donate at the end. These men do an amazing job at making sure you enjoy the show!

Wow! What a view!!! Unfortunately we didn’t get to see the divers but it was worth it anyways. Check the times if you must see the divers. I think They jump before noon and they also have a night show were they jump with torches and you can dine while you watch them. A must see in Acapulco

By far the prettiest sunset I have seen in years!! Cudos to the divers for giving such an exhilarating show.
The Acapulco Historical Museum, located in the pentagonal Fort San Diego built by the Spanish Empire in the 17th century, showcases 13 exhibition halls that comprehensively cover the city's history. The museum offers interesting displays in both Spanish and English on Acapulco's past as a vital port for trade with the Philippines, including information on galleons, cargo, and piracy.
A great place in Acapulco! Few people know it’s the most historical place in this area.
This historic museum has a beautiful art
collection and expositions. We hope they reopen again soon.
The architectural particular style makes it unique also. It is like a star structure. And also from here you have a lovely view of the bay.

The fort is a good easy stop, I would reccomend seeing it before you get back on your ship as it is a short walk away. The signs are written in both spanish and english, you can walk on top of the walls and take spectacular photos of the skyline.

Isla El Morro is a small rocky island located near the mainland beach, known for its boat dock and the remains of a closed fountain. The island offers breathtaking sunsets and is considered one of the most child-friendly beaches in the area. It's also an excellent vacation destination where visitors can enjoy swimming to the island, parasailing, riding Jetskis, and snorkeling.
My dad's hometown is a great destination for a vacation. Swam to the island and it was fun. I also parasailed, rode Jetskis, and snorkeled.

Roll Acapulco is a well-known amusement park situated in Costera Miguel Aleman that offers exciting dolphin shows, swimming pools, and thrilling water slides. The establishment also has a bar/restaurant where visitors can enjoy delicious food and drinks while having fun with family and friends. It is an excellent place for families looking for unique games and exceptional service, focusing on the natural beauty of Acapulco.
This was our second time coming here. The place is great. School doesn’t let out here until July so if you decided to come during this time, bring food and drinks they will let you. But if you come during July or August they have plenty of drink and food options to choose from.
If you ever want to swim with dolphins, this is definitely the place to go!! It was amazing and we loved our experience!!

When we went on a Wednesday morning, there were only two slides open. Also, I was rather scared that one of them might break down, as many parts of the stairs were rusted through and needed maintenance. I imagine it was fantastic in the 90s, but now it looks rundown.

Place needs alot of work.. complete remodeling. Or overhaul.. first time there .. also not all toboggans . We're operable... You can go inside the pools. And can see rust on the structure inside the water and concrete coming off.. also food is not good. At all it's Mexico.. it should be fresh.. meaning hamburger and churros are mostly frozen items. Their bar is also. Low on items. Bathrooms on rear are awful. Customer service . It's not that good either..

I really hope there is something done with the 2 dolphins trapped in the nasty water pool!!!! I am aware a hurricane came thru but the dolphins need to be moved to a sanctuary asap for proper treatment and care.
Bekah Hooper — Google review
I went to this attraction on 6 Aug 2022. The advertisement both on the website and social media are lies. From all the water rides only two rides were operational. The park still charged the same price and people aren’t made aware of the disfunction of the rides prior to paying. The pools are definitely not clean and you can tell from the the trash at the bottom of the pool.
I think if people are aware of the park having only two rides and letting them decide if to spend the money or not it would be more respectable.
However, the dolphin show was beautiful, the people and staff were all super helpful and amazing. My family definitely enjoyed the show as well as the private show. Staff were kind and knowledgeable about what they were doing.
Respectfully.

The diving service and the banana, quite accessible. Arriving at La Roqueta, the view of the lighthouse is great, although the bad thing is that you cannot enter the lighthouse, but the view is worth the trip. The lovers' beach is beautiful, very private and quiet. On one side of the pier the sea is shallow and quite calm. I was able to swim to the buoys without problems and my children loved swimming on said beach without waves. The ideal is to bring your own food and drink, if you don't have much of a budget or if you want to save unnecessary expenses. I recommend arriving early, so you can explore everything without problems. It is also cheaper to buy tickets in Caleta, the boats have a round-trip service. The last one leaves approximately 5 pm.

This chapel is breathtakingly beautiful. There isn't anything too complex about the architecture. It's simple yet stunning. The English translation is "Chapel of Peace" and it truly gives you a sense on peace as you sit inside the chapel. There isn't a particular religion associated with the chapel, everyone is welcome. The scenery around the church is beautiful, the palm trees, the view of the Bay and the property is well maintained as well.

There isn’t much to do other than that walk or run. The pathways are usually full so riding a bike for fun is annoying. There is a pool that’s free but it is very dirty and no one follows the rules as they wear full clothes (jeans/ t-shirts) and it’s very small and adults still get in also clothed even Some kids are in there with no clothes. Also some kids are there bullying foreign kids and the parents just laugh. The train ride was 25pesos for once around the park. The trampoline area is 30 pesos for only 10min. The bikes are 70pesos for 30mil and ID *needed* many vendors up selling foreigners. The best part of this park is the it’s 100% smoke free which is uncommon in Mexico so it’s nice to be able to breath. Lots of trees so much shade but not much to do. Bring your snacks the prices here are double of any other vendor kind of like the beach.

La casa de los vientos house of Dolores Olmedo where she host Diegos Rivera´s studio after he had cancer, a great mural, colors and the postum letter he wrote to her in the sealing of the studio where he lived. Old Acapulco has great history, sorry that they do not give voice to this and other interesting places

Nice mural up some steep hills in a quiet part of Acapulco. Nobody was around at all. The house was closed unfortunately. Would love to see what's inside!

La Casa de la Pasta is a rustic, cozy, and family-owned Italian restaurant. It offers an extensive vegetarian menu with many customizable options, making it a great option for vegetarians. Menu items include pasta and pizza dishes, as well as vegetarian risotto dishes. La Casa de la Pasta is not exclusively a vegetarian restaurant, but the excellent options make it a great choice for vegan and vegetarian diners alike.
A wonderful Italian restaurant with a wide range of flavors!
Julio was the star of the place and the service was exquisite.
I personally had the Pasta with Bolognese which was great, unfortunately I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture of the meal before eating it. But trust me when I say, it was very good.
Desert wise: we had the Tiramisu and something called Flan, they were delicious. I provided photographic evidence of this.
Hopefully one day I'll come back and join the "wall of honor",
But then again my mother always says "Hopefully doth butter no parsnips" so, I don't know.

This was one of the most disappointing meals I can remember having in the last decade. We’d been here before and had loved it, so this time we recommend it to all our friends and made it the last meal of the vacation. Nobody can say the restaurant is charming, it’s horrible, but the food in the past was so fantastic it more than made up for that. Unfortunately, we were served the most lack-luster, thrown together, and sad meal. The quality of the ingredients was nothing like in past visits. The pasta this time wasn’t made in house (maybe they ran out?) and they substituted the previously stellar ingredients for cheap replacements. The beef carpaccio, one of the most expensive dishes on the menu, was garnished with chopped salad mix, and the frutti di mare pasta, a house speciality and the most expensive of their pastas, was served with overcooked prefrozen seafood and boxed pasta. The dessert was terrible, and then to add insult to injury we’d ordered three pizzas to go and when we got back to the hotel we realized they were store bought cheese pizzas with the ingredients particular to the type we’d ordered placed on top. On top of everything, it was one of the most expensive meals of our trip. We felt terrible for having dragged our whole party there. We have no idea what happened to this great place that we had previously raved was some of the best Italian food we’d had outside of Italy. Really disappointing.

Great place to eat pasta. Servings are just fine for 1 person not to share. Service is fine just little slow but it's ok considering they make the pasta here and they have different kind of pastas.

Food was authentic and delicious! Homemade pasta, sauces, and bread. Wine was delicious. We had the house salad, stuffed portobello mushroom, fettuccine Alfredo, Lasagna, pepperoni pizza, and truffle goat cheese pasta. Better than most Italian restaurants in the US. Would definitely recommend!!!

Pros: The look of the hotel and the room. First class. Really happy with it. We had a pool villa. Stunning view and feel to it.
Cons:
* Maintenance noise. Starts early and goes all day every day. Loud banging of hammers and grinding of power tools. We had a pool villa so often never left the room. The noise which starts around 7am is a shocker
* Food. Portion sizes are very small for the money. Very poor value. Food quality more 3 star than 5
* Despite the 15% service charge being included in the room, there is an air of expectation for tips. One night a bar tender even questioned my wife saying he thought the tip was too low. I don’t mind tipping for impeccable service. The service here falls way short of that mark. Very poor. 1 star
* Taxi to town organised by hotel 4 times more than any other taxi service offering same vehicles. Again, very poor
* No coffee facility in room
* Iron but no ironing board. That’s like offering a pool with no water
* Level of English speaking across the hotel is extremely poor
* The pay in full up front is very poor given covid times where plans may be forced to change at last minute. Most hotels offer free cancellation (including Banyan Tree who only require one night paid up front to guarantee)
* Mini bar only replenished on 2nd last day despite staying for 6 nights. 2 free bottles of water only replenished this day also
* Service at breakfast is ridiculously poor, asking several times for same thing often leaving without. The menu is poor
All in all, love the look of the hotel and love the room. The rest leaves a lot to be desired.
Wrote with feedback to General Manager midway through the stay. Not as much as a response. Little point responding now my friend. It’s too late!

Pros: great views, close to the main strip in Acapulco, kids allowed
Cons: this is an expensive 5 star hotel & yet nothing about staying here feels high end. It’s one of those hotels that instead of taking care of you just tries to scam you at every corner. Be aware that on top of the cost of your room, at check out they charge a daily service fee that is not advertised when you book your room. I’m not sure what the service fee is for since the service is terrible. Especially the receptionist.
The beds only come with one papery sheet. We were freezing cold & asked for blankets & they brought us 1 more sheet. They charge you extravagantly for water. I get that it’s a hotel. But it’s just purified water they charge you for, not even bottled water. They serve the water in a glass water bottle that has been resealed BUT you can tell it’s old & refilled with purified tap water because the paint is chipping off the water bottle.
The food is really average, but extremely expensive. Expect to spend about 100 USD at each meal for 2 people & still leave hungry.
We stayed in one of the villas & honestly didn’t feel very safe. There is a road that goes behind the villas & nothing to stop anyone from the road to climb up on your patio. The lock on our door also didn’t work properly. As the dump truck was moving around the neighborhood below our villa smelled like trash for 1 hour.
Staying here just really isn’t worth the price. A better, cheaper option with better views, service & food in Banyan Tree Cabo Marques.

This is a review about Origen (the restaurant inside Encanto). Since we stepped foot into the place, the attention was top nudge. The staff was kind and welcoming, offering their suggestions and even a short tour of the place. We had lomito de robalo a la talla as main dish for dinner - it was spectacular. Drinks were fresh and well-sized for a dinner cocktail - highly recommend the Santino. The view and ambiance were the cherry on top. Definitely would come back to Origen!

I want to start my review by saying give Amado a raise! From the moment my partner and I arrived we were treated with the utmost care and respect from the staff but especially him. We stayed in a pool villa that looked even better than the photos. Everything was clean, easy to use and overall beautiful. We were given several options for things to do daily and were given a driver to each destination. I can confidently say I would recommend Encanto to any friends or family and trust they’d be in good hands.

Unfortunately our experience didn’t match our expectations. It was our 4th time staying at this location and they still have water availability issues in the rooms as well as the fact that they didn’t honor the 3.00 pm check in policy. All of this with only a “sorry for the inconveniences”.
Very low standards for what they charge.

Encanto was a phenomenal experience from the moment my partner and I arrived. We had the Ocean Pool Villa which was super intimate. I'm a huge James Turrell fan and this resort felt inspired by his work – from the use of lights to the spacial design. There are breathtaking views at every turn of the resort and the restaurant is more than satisfactory. But what really blew me away was the service, especially from Amado who always had a smile on and made sure my partner and I were well taken care of for the duration of our stay. He helped us with tours, beach days and even a wave runner expedition. I'll be back to this beautiful city one day and I have Amado to thank for showing my partner and I the real Acapulco.
The Hotel Las Brisas Acapulco sits atop 40 acres of lush gardens and overlooks beautiful Acapulco Bay. The rooms are spacious bungalow-style with private or shared pools, international cuisine in the restaurant, and transportation between hotel and beach club every 20 minutes.
Amazing place, great house, pool and the service also there is a beach club where is an amazing salt pool and restaurant with mouth watering food, but there is a problem with the location of the hotel because it’s far from the city and it’s hard to get there.

Beautiful hotel and great views but the service is absolutely terrible. Constantly waiting and waiting for anything you ask for. We had to call the reception 5 times to ask to deliver some cream with the coffee we got on room service and they finally showed up an hour later when the coffee was cold. Had to chase reception on where the taxi was daily. Nice place but service needs to improve. When you pay this price you don’t want to wait a long time for everything.

Las Brisas Acapulco Hotel – This was the best hotel in Acapulco in the 50´s. Not anymore. It is still nice with the architecture from those times and for its price you get a good deal with nice views and superb attention from the staff. They also have a beach club with fresh salt water pools. Oct. 2023

There was a lot of good and quite many things also that bothered. So 3 at the moment is a fair rating.
I would rate 5 for the view and the possibility of having private pool.
I would rate 1 for not getting a decent breakfast for this price - buns and cookies every day? Come on...
I would rate 2 for the pool cleaning service - the first 3 days we had pool cleaning and on the last day, inbetween - no flowers, although other pools got them and no cleaning.
I would rate 3 for room overall - the rooms are a bit outdated and would need a refreshment in renovation sense, the fridge didn't really freeze a lot, although, thumbs up, that the room had quite nicely spacious fridge.
I would rate 5 for the cleaning service - the ladies who cleaned every day were absolutely wonderful! So polite and did their job really really well!
I would rate 3 for the service at the front desk - although polite, it was very cold service, not much smiles. Polite yes, but a bit of friendliness would have been great :)
I would rate 2 for the possibilities to eat on spot - the drinks are very expensive and no possibility to have dinner on property.
The large pool by the sea was nice, but the restaurant there is not working at the moment either. Only drinks bar was working. It was a bit sad sight.
So, at the moment this is my rating, 3 - it was OK. The views were beautiful, but it is not only the view that makes the stay memorable :) I hope to return one day after Corona-time and maybe there will be some improvements by that time and I'd then gladly rate the otherwise really well located and with amazing view Las Brisas Acapulco with 5 stars :)

Where should I start?
1. When you book this hotel and you select "BREAKFAST INCLUDED"
it does NOT mean the Breakfast Buffet on their onsite restaurant.
It means Coffee and a plate with fruit and 3 smallmuffins.
2. We did not realize until morning that we were sleeping with bugs. When 8am hit and natural light come in. The entire left side of the bed was INVADED by ants and bugs.
MY partner though it was his eczema but it was just bugs crawling on them.
Same with the lawn chairs outside by the pool.
3. The Hotel says they have a relationship with the Taxi drivers and were very quick to finding us one when we needed them.
The Taxi driver over charged us by significantly!!!
500 from Las Brisas to Airport a 20 mins drive without any traffic.
I paid 200 from Estrella de Oro to Las Brisas Hotel.
The good thing about this hotel is the Customer Service. VERY punctual and attentive.
1.They give a bottle of wine to their Firts timers. Thank you for that.
2. The views are amazing
3. The private pool makes you feel like you living the life. Awesome addition
So why did I not address these issues during check out?Honestly, I was furious and in a rush.
Ps. The hotel never reached back out in regards to the concerns. They only comment on the 4or5 star reviews. Get this Hotel off the Michelin Guide

Las Brisas is not like other hotels. Las Brisas is alive! There are plants and beautiful flowers everywhere. I saw a gecko chase a bug on my balcony. It made me realize that I am not in a sterile hotel room. The songs of the birds while the sun sets are incredible.
It is expensive, but for a little house on the mountain overlooking the bay, and out of the view of neighbors makes it worth it
Jeffrey Mchugh — Google review
The entire 46 acre compound climbs a mountain with vistas of the bay from the private room balcony. The entire resort and room decorum is authentic 1960's. The service was top notch, the staff was friendly and helpful. The staff took pride in both Las Brisas and Acapulco. Each morning the coffee and pastry brought to the room is a great way to start the day.
The pool club and restaurant were right on the bay. There was a pool as well as a large deep man made ocean lagoon.

I went on vacation to Acapulco with my family. We stayed at the Las brisas Acapulco. This hotel was exceptional. The room service would come twice a day and at night they would bring chocolates in the morning they would bring pastries and coffee to your room for breakfast now this hotel is not all inclusive. They don't bring you lunch and dinner, although you can order them separately. If you call the front desk, there's a QR code in your room that brings you to the room service menu, but the room service is not overpriced. I'm not sure about the conversion but for most meals you're looking at about 200 to 300 pesos. Although many are more and less money, you have access to a beach club which is called club conch which is amazing. You can drive your own car there or you can get a ride in the back of a Jeep which is part of your stay because it is on a hill. You can take these Jeep rides anywhere in the resort. There is a gym, a spa, a restaurant which the food is exceptional and of course you can take the Jeep to the beach club

Icacos Beach is a lively destination that features numerous water activities like scuba diving, jet skiing and banana rides. The beach offers rentable chairs and umbrellas for visitors to relax while enjoying beautiful views of Acapulco. Refreshments can be easily sourced from nearby sellers, although some vendors can appear too pushy at times. The ocean's calmness makes it an ideal spot for swimming but caution should be taken due to the waves' strength, especially for inexperienced swimmers.

The Mirador Acapulco is a cliff-top hotel with breathtaking ocean views, luxurious accommodation and delicious food. There are three pools, two restaurants and a bar on site, making it the perfect place to relax after exploring the nearby attractions.
The view from the hotel was great. The restaurant, bar and lobby have open views to the cliffs, you can see the cliff divers from there. It has a spectacular view of the open ocean and as well as the Cliff Divers. Also from the rooms, the views are beautiful and a bit more private than the restaurant. I had a great view from my room, it felt like a dream. Also, the hotel has a 3 meters deep pool, it is higher up the hill and they have two cable cars to take you from the first floor (close to the lobby) to the pool; only thing is you have to cross the parking lot and a street to get to the pool, but then again the view is cool from up there. They have a natural pool where water and fishes fill it up but you have to walk down stories to get to sea level. Next to it there's like a kiosk where there's chairs and tables and you can just look at the ocean. On the way down to the natural pool there is another pool but it is not as deep, maybe like 1.5-2 meters but also a good place to just hang out. The customer service was great, they were always nice and always helpful. I attached some photos of different parts of the hotel. Honestly it is easy from my top 3 hotels that I've stayed in just for all the cool things it has, if not my favorite.

Not a great experience at all. Booked the hotel through hopper. When we got here they charged us AGAIN stating we didn't mark the correct # of people. Then we get to the room and we were missing towels, water, complementary toiletries. Which we called down to reception for and they said WE had to go back down the 10 flight of stairs to reception to pick up what we asked for. No elevators. AND there were cockroaches in the bathroom.
UPDATE: we left for the day to the beach. After our horrible experience our first day we were ready to have some fun. We returned to find a security guard greet us at the entrance closest to our room. He informed us that they had found our door open. My mother and I double checked the door before we left so we knew it wasn't due to our negligence. Luckily we only left a few pieces of clothing and some toiletries in the room so there was nothing of value to take.
SUMMARY: overpriced for the stay. No wifi. Required to wear wrist bands for the entire stay that you could not remove w/o being charged extra and left us with tan lines. No wifi. No accessibility. Poor customer service. Questionable cleanliness. Hotel cannot guarantee your safety here as well. WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

Its a lovely place with a great view! I went there with a friends and she fell in love with the hotel. The perks of this hotel is their hidden little beach pool that the hotel owns. They do offer day passes that allow you to use their utilities and includes breakfast or lunch with two drinks for $450 MXP.

We were struggling trying to find a place to stay after Fiesta Americana screws us over. Then we found this one for $150 dollars a night!, what a rip off! We wanted to do only one night, but the system did not allowed it! I know this hotel had his glory, but I am sure it was back in the 1950's. 1st room was falling apart, no TV, AC could barely keep up, old and outdated Furniture, dirty room. They ended up moving us to another room the second day. But it was only a little better because of the view (you can view la quebrada). You still have to use an actual key that only works in the lower knob. Service was very rude, especially the first night. They acted as if they were doing us a favor. Water faucets are so old, that they are discolored from weare and tear! No internet excep in the lobby! Come on! Is this the 1990s!!! In the second room fire ants were spraying out of the jacuzzi sprays. I guess the only thing I can say was good is the view!

Not worth it for the price, way too high for 1950's room nasty floor, we found roaches and ants. If you reserve thru expidia they give you the old and nasty room. I love the view but They need to remodel that room. Parking lot is awful. I was very desapoint it.

I am currently staying at this hotel so here are the pros and cons that I have found so far. PROS: The staff is nice, it has great views ,the restaurant is pretty good and you get to watch the cliff divers for free. CONS: The bathrooms are not very nice, the rooms aren't great either, there is only WiFi in the lobby and the staff is not very helpful. Overall, this is a 2-stat hotel and it shows. I would not recommend this hotel.

We reserved this hotel and talked to the representative a day before we reserved. The representative in that hotel didn’t inform us that there would be an extra charge or anything even we had told him prior that another individual might possibly be present due to it being two different rooms with two beds in each room. When we arrived there; they charged us a fee for the extra person that we just paid with no problems. During the days of our stay; it was raining and one of the rooms was leaking water in the room so we contacted the reception and asked if we can possibly have a different room since the floor and the walls were wet due to the rain but they said no and declined. Instead, they brought some towels and tried to clean the water; however due to the rain; the water kept coming into the room. We had to prevent ourselves from slipping when the floor was slippery due to it being wet. Also, the bathroom was cracked like the shower/tub and the supplies in the room were very limited such as towels, remote control for the tv was missing and etc. Overall, we ended up staying there as we couldn’t find another hotel but the service was inadequate and terrible. Due to their unprofessional service and attitude on solving the problems/issues, our trip was dreadful and just awful.

The hotel and restaurant are outdated. It really has a lot of Hollywood history but it has lost its glamor. The dive show at one time was the highlight of this establishment but after watching a few dives the excitement is over. This place could really use some investors to update and modernize. Beautiful location!! Sitting on the terrace with the breeze and listening to the water crash against the rocks was very relaxing while eating dinner. Food was okay. While I found my food to be bland, my hubby enjoyed his lasagna. Unfortunately we couldn't have adult beverages due to the Mexican elections taking place that day. They serve no alcohol at that time even to tourists. That was a bummer.
The Craft Market El Pueblito is a popular tourist destination in Mexico that features handmade and manufactured souvenirs from all around the country. Vendors are kind and don't push their items on you, which makes it a safe and interesting place to visit. There are many different types of souvenirs available, including swimsuits, clothing, cookies, and art crafts. Prices vary depending on the item, but most vendors will bargain if you ask.
Very pretty and colorful
Lots of souvenirs you can get
All tipe of prices!!

Many kinds of souvenirs can be found here. I liked the fact that most of them are still handmade or manufactured in Mexico. You can also find swimming suits, short pants, and traditional clothing, all for men and women. All vendors are kind and don't push the items on you nor raise the prices for being a tourist. It's a safe and interesting place to visit.

Vidanta Acapulco is a beautiful resort with spacious and well-decorated rooms, offering an ideal place to relax and enjoy the stunning views of the Reflections Pool. Guests can also take excursions to watch renowned cliff divers at Quebrada. The resort features gorgeous gardens, large pools with comfortable water temperature, and plenty of lounging areas. However, some guests have noted minor inconveniences such as hard pillows and lack of hair conditioner in the rooms.
Excellent place to stay the whole week.
Rooms are spacious and well decorated. Gardens and some wild life within them are perfect examples that nature can be used in favor instead of being replaced. Pools are very spacious as well, though they get a bit crowded in the peak season. It also has a big beach property, but locals offering massages and other services are always between the hotel's beach and the sea. The spa is not big but you can usually enjoy it due to the limited capacity; it offers sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and professional massages. Restaurants inside are excellent, have a wide variety of dishes between them depending on which you visit. There are some special events in Christmas and New Year's Eve, with extra cost.
The overall experience is something I would highly recommend if you can afford it, have in mind that if you're from Mexico it might seem quite expensive, specially if you don't have the membership.

The bad thing, the rooms are removed from the pool, you can't play music only very softly, they don't allow large inflatables only small ones, the drinks are a bit expensive if they aren't two for one, the food mmm nothing out of the ordinary costs because of the beach hahaha somewhat expensive, whenever you order at the pool and beach it will be expensive. A very quiet complex.

Sad that the time share sharks attack you as you are checking in. The hidden activity fees over $500 are also a bummer. The food and drinks are overpriced and the sea is so rough most people won't get in. The pools are nice, but you cannot use the Grand Mayan pool if you are staying at the Mayan Palace or Sea Garden. The Fiesta Americana was much nicer.

Nice rooms and surroundings, quick access to the beach.

Very aggressive sales team, really, really unpleasant. They charge everything extra and it took us 2 days to get the bracelets (and services) we paid for.
Altogether we had a good time, but a lot of details were lacking.

Amazing and worth the money to go here for a honeymoon or wedding. It's absolutely gorgeous. The beach is clean and the pools are well kept. Also during COVID-19, there were so many precautions taken. Every person that enters must have their temperature scanned every time, and there are sanitizing stations for hands and shoes/feet everywhere. Masks are required unless you are in the pool.

Nice place, but go there during the week, the week ends are crowded and noisey. Everything has a charge, water, coffee etc. so b aware. There are a few things beginning to show wear and that need to be addressed but overall the room was very nice and housekeeping is outstanding. The beach is not a swimming beach, ocean current very strong and saw several people being rescued out of the water. Small pool on patio had issues with losing water, but within hours ea time was taken care of. Time share presentation is long and a pretty hard sell, b aware.

Amazing peoples service, swimming pools under repair first 2 day of our week's time share. Small place with no perks for attending sales meeting.
Rocio Romo — Google review
We were there during the off season and we were not members. They are currently doing a lot of construction.
We could not sleep our first night because of a moldy smell in the room. In the morning the floor was so wet we needed to lay down towels. They moved us to a new room without too much trouble.
The basic rooms have no mini fridge or coffee maker. (I was told before arriving that they had those basic amenities.)
There are restaurants and bars (though not as many as the Cancun Vidanta). The restaurants tent to cost almost double what you would pay outside the property. There are cheaper alternatives in walking distance, but it is difficult to get off property. They block the roads with security and employee only areas so guests are forced to walk an extra quarter mile + to get to the street. (We cut through the woods.)
Vidanta also does not allow independent tour operators on the property, so if you book a day trip before you arrive you may have to meet them at the gates.

Big mold problem in our room at this resort. Our beds and pillows were filled with mold and I had to see a doctor as soon as I returned home from vacation. The facilities and beach are beautiful, but the service was very poor at check in and at the restaurants on site. Staff seemed much more focused on upselling and trying to sell us a timeshare than on providing the great service we had already paid for. We will be going elsewhere for vacation in the future.
This luxurious resort promises stunning ocean views and an abundance of spa options, as well as fine dining and a wide range of activities. Its tranquil location means it is perfect for those who want to escape the bustle of Acapulco.

Incredible experience from the moment of pick-up at the airport. Easy check-in process and a refreshing juice while you wait. Welcoming staff, golf cart rides around the property, 24 hour room service, spa, pools (private and public). Trust me, you will not regret staying at this resort. Anything you need is one phone call away. We celebrated a birthday while with them. Without prompting they sent a plate full of chocolate, macaroons and cake. We will definitely be back.
Thank you!!

I would describe this hotel as a hidden gem, quite literally. Located in the middle of the jungle, the hotel prides itself of its magnificent views as well as its desired location. The rooms are top of the line with all the amenities one might need. Inside your room you can find a small pool and lounge are for those who are in need of their privacy. The different locations around the hotel are beautiful and very well designed (gym, restaurants, pool, gift store). I loved staying at this hotel and I also want to thank the wonderful staff who were always so accommodating with our requests. Definitely coming back soon!

Our stay at Banyan tree was very disappointing. The staff was poorly trained , the food was below average and some off the staff made us feel like they didn’t care if we didn’t come back.
We paid for the airport pick up one way and arranged with Marcela to send someone to come pick us up.
No one showed up to pick us up and when I told the front desk agent; instead of just apologizing; he kept arguing that their driver did go and he had a photo to prove it. Anyway, to make it up to us, the Manager send someone the next day to decorate the room for my husbands birthday. However, the flower decor was misspelled and read, “happy irday troy”
The service was very low for a “5 star hotel”
The staff didn’t offered refreshment towels or a welcoming drink upon arrival, not even water. The front desk staff is very forgetful, Marcela forgot to make my husbands birthday reservation dinner, the servers don’t offer water for breakfast and they barely came around to see if you need something .
The food is expensive and below average at best. It’s bland and flavorless. The restaurant saffron is absolutely beautiful and has the best view. The lychee martini is delicious but that’s about it. We ordered the steak which was super well done, though and dry. I had the seafood curry which made gave me a food born illness.
For our departure, I had a personal
Driver hired from outside the hotel. But the hotel staff wanted us to use their service so they put our luggage on their suburban without our permission and then lied saying suburban was from the same company as the driver I had hired so it was the same if we took that car. So I called my driver and was arriving in two minutes. I told manager I was not taking suburban because my driver was someone else. Manager said he had already charged us for the service??
He meant the round trip from a chauffeur that did not show up to airport?
After that, he seem upset but said he will refund money for the service we didn’t receive.
In conclusion, the hotel is absolutely beautiful, beautiful views, the room has amazing views, private pool, but service was missing and just for that I doubt ever coming back. Hope they work on training their staff and revamping the menu. Also , there were tiny little bugs in every superficie of the room.

Employees and Service wonderful! The property nickel and dimes for everything. Buffet breakfast very much below average for a 5 star in terms of quality for Mexican food. Transportation to go anywhere off the property around $-$20-46 even to beach club next door is $15. Great for alone time and meditation 🧘♀️ The grounds are beautiful and the pool villas are the way to go and a good way to avoid the main pool on busy weekends.

I did not stay at the resort. I spent the afternoon at the spa. What a great experience! There is no common area or at least that I experienced. Once checked in, they walked me through a jungle type atmosphere to the spa bungalow. It was beautiful and peaceful. The bungalow has a changing area with a safe, showers, and restroom. My service was the Sense of Place consisting of a Herbal Scrub, Bayan herbal pouch message, jazmin facial, and rode petal bath. My skin has never felt this soft between the scrub and oils they have really made a difference. The message was wonderful. I fell asleep multiple times. I would definitely go back. I recommend the message and scrub. I also swung by the gallery store they have some cute hats and great jewelry.
Cons The facial was not what I was expecting it's not an American type of facial. This was more of cleansing the face. Once done, the provider tapped my forehead aggressively to indicate it was over. I was awake, so there was no need it wasn't pleasant.
Pool music could be heard. There was some type of building going on. I heard someone cutting wood and the wood falling on concrete, but only once.

Banyan Tree Cabo Marques Hotel - The most beautiful hotel in Acapulco, trust me. Don't forget to visit both pools. The best views are from the rooms number 408, 409, 410 607, 606, 605, 604 named Ocean-Front Pool Villas. If you stay several days the hotel restaurants can become quite expensive so we recommend bringing some treats, drinks and snacks from the supermarket to enjoy in your villa and private pool. Also go out for dinner, in Acapulco you will find very good restaurants.
I recommend you to take the Thai cousin class. It is a great experience and you will eat delicious food.

What an incredible place. The service was exceptional. The views are stunning. The spa is amazing. And the food is quite good. We only left the property once for dinner at a local restaurant. There are excursions you can book but we chose to just relax and take in the idyllic location. Most of the staff speak some English but the resort definitely is more geared toward Mexican tourists. Knowing at least a little Spanish is advisable.

The carts were super quick when called. Room service was on point, and they always called before entering the unit, room were and amenities kept in immaculate conditions. They even steamed a dress shirt for me within 15 minutes, including pick up and drop off

Wonderful service, and amazing serene views of the ocean. Taking one star off because on the first night arrived (Saturday or Sunday, I forget) there was constant loud music and bass. I asked where the music was coming from and it took a couple different people to understand that there’s a nearby beach club that blasts music on the weekends. I heard the bass INSIDE my room until 4am the first day which was awful. They did comp us a room upgrade, and the rest of our stay was wonderful, and in line with the kind of service and experience I’d expect from Banyan Tree. Overall very wonderful and beautiful. Service is also top notch and very hospitable. They really go the extra mile :)
Oh only other complaint is the scented toilet paper. It’s toxic for humans, and not to mention the environment. This surprised me and I hope they decide to opt for non scented in the future in all of their locations.

One of the most exciting experiences of my life! Definitely a must do when you are in Acapulco... If you go in the summertime remember to put on mosquito repellent, since while you are waiting to start your flight, you are bitten by hundreds of mosquitoes. At the central office, where you meet before boarding the bus to where you actually jump, there are free lockers where you can store items that you cannot take with you. I highly recommend buying at least one photograph of this memorable experience.

50 USD for a 20-30 second zipline, made worse by the fact that the goggles they make you wear are EXTREMELY dirty/scuffed up and limits visibility by a ton so you don't really get to enjoy the pretty views. Also, they make you sit around for way too long after you hop off the zipline, this I presume to encourage you to buy food/snacks from the dining area they make you wait in. There should be a bus ready to leave right when you're done.
Decent experience but shouldn't be on your priority when visiting Acapulco.

Zipline was incredible, one of the highlights of our trip. Setup seemed very legit and safe, of course other countries can have the reputation of dangerous or sketchy setups but that's not the case with this place. They do not speak English though so keep that in mind, but their safety intro video has English subtitles which was a big help.
You lay in the prone for the whole ride which gives you a great view of the bay and surrounding countryside. It's over a mile long and you hit 80 mph which was an insane adrenaline rush!
We took pictures before and after the ride, you can also buy their pictures they take of you for a pretty reasonable price.
Definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Acapulco.
