The Tijuana Cultural Center is a contemporary museum that showcases Mexican history and culture through exhibits, installations, and an IMAX theater. It provides visitors with an interactive experience with informative displays and vibrant art pieces. The center also boasts one of the best iMax theaters globally, making it a must-visit for movie enthusiasts. The staff is friendly and accommodating, allowing visitors to explore the exhibits comfortably.
The Tijuana Cultural Center is a great center for the arts. It’s a cool place to come and enjoy a few hours in a featured exhibit. They also have one of the best iMax’s in the entire world.
I spent some time here recently at a couple of interesting exhibits, one historical and one modern. A lot of interesting information and interactive, fun art pieces. Super vibrant and moving work. The staff is nice as well — they let me stay in an exhibit a few minutes after closing.
All around an enjoyable and easy experience to have while in Tijuana.

"The Tijuana Cultural Center (CECUT) is an absolute gem in the heart of Baja California! As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by a stunning architecture and a vibrant atmosphere that's perfect for exploring and learning about the region's rich culture.
The exhibits are thoughtfully curated and diverse, showcasing everything from contemporary art to traditional crafts and history. My favorite was the interactive exhibit on the history of Tijuana, which offered a unique and engaging perspective on the city's fascinating past.
The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the facilities were spotless and well-maintained. The outdoor courtyard was a lovely spot to relax and take in the sights and sounds of the city.
I was particularly impressed by the center's commitment to promoting local artists and preserving the region's cultural heritage. The events and workshops offered were a great way to engage with the community and learn more about the area's vibrant arts scene.
Overall, the Tijuana Cultural Center is an essential experience for anyone interested in art, history, and culture. It's a shining example of the city's dedication to preserving and celebrating its rich cultural heritage. Highly recommended!

Great place to visit, see some mexican art, and learn a bit about Mexico's history. Has quite a few Aztec and Maya artifacts. There is also a cool IMAX theatre which plays some good documentaries. Tickets are cheap to - $7.50 US dollars for two people. Definitely recommend!

I’ve been to Tijuana many times before, but I never had the opportunity to explore anything outside restaurants. So, I decided to look for the top places to visit in TJ and this came up, so I gave it a try!
It amazed me the first time i saw it, as I was getting off of my Uber, such an interesting shape and very different and unique from the rest of buildings in TJ.
Once inside, I got a ticket to experience the IMAX screen. The sound and visuals were outstanding.
Definitely worth it!

Attended the Binational Conference of Social Work Post-Pandemic. Excellent location on a Friday. Vendors galore set up all day with food, can lots more. So much fun. It is across from a beautiful mall. Lots of traffic as there is a turn circle, be careful. I enjoyed the cultural experience. Very friendly people and helpful all around. Will go again. The exit at the border was about an hour, so be patient, and go with a buddy for company and to chat with a long the way. Remember your passport.

Was a fun place to see and visit. The ball is the imax and the museum is behind it. It's all in Spanish, which should be obvious, so make sure you or someone that's with you speaks it.

Parque Morelos is a state park that has been around since 1987. It features a small zoo and a lake where visitors can rent boats. The park also offers biking and walking trails for those looking to explore the area. There are fair-like rides, affordable snacks, and beautiful animals to see throughout the park. Entrance is free, and parking is available. Parque Morelos is an excellent destination for families looking for an enjoyable day out together.

I am amazed to have discovered Parque Morelos in Tijuana; it’s truly a hidden gem that radiates good vibes and offers a calm oasis in the city, perfect for chilling, especially with kids.
This park has it all – from a delightful zoo that’s both educational and entertaining, to a variety of food options that cater to every taste bud. The rides for kids (and adults who are kids at heart) are fantastic, adding an extra layer of excitement to your visit.
What struck me the most is the sense of tranquility amidst the bustling city. Parque Morelos is like a breath of fresh air, a place where you can escape the urban chaos and immerse yourself in nature’s beauty.
The park’s facilities are top-notch, and the staff is incredibly welcoming. It’s evident that they take pride in maintaining this wonderful space.

We only paid $28 pesos per car and got to enjoy many things. They have lots of yummy food like nieve, tostilocos, pizza, chicken, enchiladas, hamburger throughout the park. The have trampolines for the kiddos, and even have a very old jurassic park like train ride. You can find go carts, zip lines, and other fun attractions like at a fair. Many families were picnicking there or even had their birthday parties there.

Place:
Parque Morelos
Food:
I had a sandwich that I made along with some fruit and sweet bread. The sweet bread was more watery than the ones that are freshly baked so I didn’t enjoy it as much. The sandwich was not as cold as I thought it would be and the fruits were freshly harvested, even if they were I think they were the worst strawberries I’ve ever had since they were harvested ahead of time.
The atmosphere:
I really like hanging out with my family and friends at that park since it’s one of the best places to feel in touch with nature, at least in my neighborhood. The place was not as loud as it would usually be, that’s most likely because it was not a busy day for the park.

The park is great, many attractions in one place and it has a huge parking.. Omg, but there's only one entrance and one exit and so the wait it's horrible! So, if you go you need to be patient! 😁👍🏼🎉

It is safe here. The drive is less than an hour from rosarito. Didn't check from Tijuana. Family friendly. They sell food, snacks, drinks; it is shady and there are benches to relax and rest. The animals are active and visible. There are visitors but it is not overwhelming. I saw people also coming with food, drinks and chairs. You can spend a good day here for free since parking is only $29 pesos and no other fees

Amazing park that you can spend all day at. Very cheap and safe.
These are the underground places that you want to take your family if you're traveling through Tijuana to get the authentic Mexican local experience. There are so many areas in this park alone. The go-karts was one of the favorite things to do. Also enjoying a bike rental for two adults and two small children that can sit in the front. This bike has dual pedals or two adults to use and can circle around the park and explore more areas. You can rent golf carts here and circle around the park. There's different rental options here in case you forgot your stroller. There's all kinds of snacks and food here at an affordable price so you really don't need to bring anything unless you want to bring your own blanket and food for a picnic.
Small zoo features a white tiger, cute monkeys, and some beautiful birds. Nice entrance plaza, plenty of secure parking costs 20 pesos. There is a good snack shop with pizza that smelled great (we didn't eat, just bought some bottled water). Cute train ride for kids. Very family friendly place.
Your child will love exploring the park and seeing many new lovely hidden places.

The park was the perfect spot for me to get in a lot of walking after my gastric sleeve surgery. We really enjoyed wandering around and seeing all of the families enjoying time together. I wish we could have had our own kids with us to enjoy the park.
The Playas de Tijuana neighborhood is located in the westernmost part of Tijuana, Baja California, and extends from the northern border with the United States to Rosarito Beach Municipality in the south. The Bullring by the Sea was established in 1960 within this area.
The MULLME Museum of Mexican Wrestling is a captivating exhibit with informative displays that provide historical and regional context for lucha libre. The museum staff, including guides, have invested considerable effort in making the collections accessible to visitors who may not be familiar with the sport. Additionally, guests are encouraged to appreciate the building's history and architecture as they explore the exhibits, including a model train set at the entrance.
The idea, AMAZING. The thought put into this project, SUPERB. The exhibit, QUALITY. The friendliness and PASSION, is quite noticable from the moment you walk into this week though out and storied collection of many. Truly a unique experience for anyone. We learned so much alone just about the Lucha Libre from the 2nd of the 3 floors. This was my favorite. An entire collection that will blow you away from a single collector of over 40 years. Do yourself a favor and see this museum and become a fan for yourself.

This was a fascinating museum to walk through -- from the placards (now translated, if you've been reading the earlier reviews) that did an excellent job of setting lucha libre in a regional context, to the guide who took the time to catch us on our way out and explain the collections in the building to us as well as the building's older history, it was clear that there has been a lot of thought put into making the collections understandable even to those who (like us) were not necessarily preexisting lucha libre aficionados.
Be sure to look down at the model train set as you enter the building!

A must see spot off you are a luche libre fan. Upstairs is the luche part with hundreds of masks, photos and hair (yes, hair.) Downstairs is an interesting collection too but the upstairs has the goods. You even get to go into the wrestling ring for photos. When we visited there was a wrestler visiting from Tokyo and a lot of fans waiting in line for an autograph. But there was no line to get in the museum. If only cost $3 each. So fun.

Scotiabank Plaza Río is an upscale outdoor shopping center with a modern design, featuring over 120 stores and dining options along with a multi-screen cinema. The mall offers ample parking for visitors at a nominal fee of 5 pesos per hour and has strict security measures in place. Its shops are comparable to those found in the United States, making it a great alternative to the crowded Tijuana border area where parking can be difficult to find during peak times.
Great place to cone and visit with your family. It has a little bit for everyone. I just discovered a place for kids call "mini city" not bad. Is like a city where kids get to perform jobs as if they were adults living in a city.

I always love this place. It's like home to me. Being born in America, I never felt at home. The people there are wonderful and respectful. As long as you give the same respect! But that's anywhere you go in the world. Despite our countries lack of empathy towards the Mexican people, you never know what your missing in life until you visit this place.🙃🤗❤️ Not to mention the fact that they are completely on top of this whole virus thing, and checking temps, using sanitizer and wearing masks in all places visited.

My first time going. It's a clean mall without any roofs like old style. Very updated and security everywhere. Plenty of parking. They charge 5 pesos per hour. Nice shops just like you will see in states. Someone told me. It's better to park here than at to border. 1. Tj border hard to find parking sometimes especially on west ped way. I had that experience. No parking. You park at the Rio plaza and take taxi cost 5 pesos to the San ysidero border. It's alot easier than parking at border and pay high price.

The Monumental Plaza de Toros is a significant landmark that delineates the boundary between Mexico and the United States. In the past, it served as a gathering place where people from both countries could meet without going through customs, but after September 11, a wall was erected. Although there was once a door that allowed for communication and physical interaction, it has been closed for several years now, leaving only fingertip touching possible.
This historic site marks the boundary line between the United States and Mexico. In the 1970s the next and administration created friendship park this was the only spot where people from both countries could meet in a neutral spot and spend time together Without going through customs. After September 11 a wall was put up for a while there was a door that allowed people to hug and talk but a few years later the door was closed and now all you can do is touch your fingertips. The Mexican side is very colorful and there’s a lot going on it’s a very friendly place compared to the US side where border patrol keeps people far away

We visited this beach during the day on our vacation. The food, beverage, and snack vendors were very nice and had lots of delicious choices. Unfortunately, the water washing up here smelled of dead fish. The beach had lots of locals and their pets on it but not many people actually got in the water. There was also a lot of political artwork on the wall beside the lighthouse. The sculpture and lighthouse are good places to take photos.

A perspective of the wall that I had never seen. Beautifully decorated, and, like Chicano Park in San Diego, a visual history, not only of events, but the hopes, frustrations and soul of the Latino, Mexican heart. A family beach during the day. The town caters to tourists, so it's English speaker friendly. If you arrive around 6 am parking is plenty and free, otherwise $6 USD and kind of a challenge. Bathrooms a quarter for paper and pretty clean.

About 20 min away from the US entry into México. Great deal for a childrens museum. Only $5 usd or about $11 for the year pass. Has about 3 levels. Cuauhtémoc was the last Aztec emperor who ruled over Tenochtitlan, a city now known as Mexico City. He became the leader at a time when the Spanish conquistadors were aggressively attempting to take control of the land. Despite being vastly outnumbered and outgunned, Cuauhtémoc led his people in a valiant effort to resist their invaders. However, after many battles and much bloodshed, he eventually surrendered to Hernán Cortés.

Estadio Chevron is a baseball field that offers enjoyable experiences for families and individuals alike. Absolute chaos of minor league baseball from beginning to end but we absolutely loved it. It had been a bucket list item for a while to go to a TJ Toros game and we took a few hours out of our trip to San Diego to make it happen! Park easily at the border and be across walking in 10 minutes. Cheap Uber to the stadium and scan your tickets which you bought online in advance and you are in for a few hours of fun. The game is almost secondary to the constant lights, music, mascots (like 10?!) food vendors and other patrons having a great time. Buy the upgraded seats (still super cheap) be brave enough to try some food (or not) and buy some authentic or knock off merch. Uber after the game back to the border was quick and cheap as well. Felt very safe the entire time and while there were minimal language issues and we probably paid tourist prices from a few vendors it was an unforgettable experience!

Very nice place for family and friends to spend a couple of hours in the open. Nice green fields and bunch of trees. Ideal for a picnic and some football or any other sports, entrance is free which is a plus too. Only down size is the restrooms are in horrendously bad condition.

Very chill place to come and hang out. You can bring some chairs, blankets, and snacks and relax. The bathrooms were very clean. The cleaning lady kept on cleaning it frequently. I would come back again.. and the snacks they sell are yummy too.

Beautiful large park with lots of different things to do for kids and loads of different vendors for food. Tons of shaded area busy but not overwhelming especially on a saturday.

The Park is beautiful. The lake has fish and local wildlife. I know the water is healthy and clean. A lot of space and I saw the Police cadets training. It was an honor to watch them marching. There was also a local car show with some solid 60k plus Impalas. Family car clubs with amazing paint.

Park (green areas) is nice and well maintained for the most part, the city should invest in the cleaning of the lake and the canal that feeds it when it rains.

The Wax Museum Tijuana is a compact museum that offers visitors a diverse range of exhibits and attractions. This cultural center features art exhibitions, theatrical performances, an IMAX cinema, and hosts regular events. The museum is affordable with tickets priced reasonably for visitors to enjoy the experience without breaking the bank. It takes around 30-60 minutes to explore this small-medium sized wax museum that's perfect for those who love scare or horror-themed sections.
Great place to visit with family and friends

It was a cool experience. It’s definitely a fun distraction to visit. I would love to see this place get some new renovation but overall a good experience.

Last I came here was maybe 17 years ago with my family and I vividly remember La Llorona’s wax figure. Very spooky.

Seriously worth the price of admission. It's a great 45 min spent if you're looking for a local attraction.

Fun place to visit if you're visiting Tijuana. Many well known Mexican and American celebrities in wax statues. Perfect for families!
Mario Inga — Google review
Definitely big and has variety. Wax status could be maintained a little more. Visible tape repairs and missing limbs on some. Like that they have a little bio you can read! Super affordable 1.50 US$

Nice quick stop
It is a small-medium size wax museum, I found it while I was walking from San Diego, the ticket is cheap, and it is worth spending 30-60 minutes, and continue exploring the lovely Tijuana.
Note: if you love a little scare, you will love their horror/scary section.

This place has been a fixture of Centro, Tijuana for years. There is no need to waste your time or money on this activity. It is extremely dated and while children may find the exhibits interesting, adults are likely to find them very cheesy and unimpressive. The only thing it has going for it is it’s location. Most people will likely find it boring. I don’t ever see anyone going into it, so I’m not sure how they manage to stay in operation.
It definitely has seen better days.

Excellent entertainment for the entire family. the price is under $2 per adult. bathrooms very clean.

Ticket is $1.50 USD or 25 pesos. Small location, you'll be here 30 minutes to an hour max.

It was a great museum with a cheap admission. (25 pesos) I would highly recommend to all!
Vergel, an aquatic theme park with various water rides, a wave pool and lazy river, is operational on Thursdays with adherence to covid protocols. Out of several slides, a few were out of service yet visitors enjoyed their time as there were other activities to keep them occupied. The admission price for adults is around $10 (in pesos) and $5 (in pesos) for children below 1.30 meters in height.
Huge and awesome. Great rides for both big and small people. Friendly staff and very reasonably priced (100 pesos for a shot of tequila in a closed park is a bargain.)

Dude bout time I hit up 5his place I've always heard of the Water park (Aquatics Alverge) I had fun the slides were fun, the people we're chill in a nice environment I'm glad I came. This place if you didn't bring swimnware don't worry they have plenty for sale. Prices reasonable. Peace, i'm out...

Family friendly park that you can spend the whole day relaxing at. They have numerous slides and lounging areas. Alcohol is available for purchase. The main slide shoots you 20 ft in the air! Day pass was 250 MXN and the lockers are 70 MXN. During the week it's rather chill, it gets super busy on the weekends and parking can be a mess
Richard Ortwein — Google review
safe, welcoming, cheap, super fun
price: 250 peso (~10-15 usd?) (cash only)
there are lockers for 70 peso (~5-10 usd)
Lots of food and drink options but a lot were closed
Imagine a waterpark without any modern safety rules, this is pretty much what you get - and it's amazing
The staff are super friendly, we had no cash to get in (be careful it's cash only the whole park), so they completely voluntarily drove us to the nearest ATM to get cash out and took us back
Yes alot of the slides look a bit sketchy but it's probably the most fun I've ever had at a waterpark - even as a tourist from Australia among pretty much completely Mexican locals we felt super welcome and had an amazing time, spent literally the entire day there
Ollie Hunt — Google review
We had an amazing day. Price are reasonable and clean area. We will definitely return. The only discomfort was the guards in the front kept following us like if we were to do something bad. Other than that i give tgem 4 stars

This place is really something, to enter you pay $250 pesos per person as of 5/30/2022. There are plenty of places to buy food (see pictures) food was really good. you can rent a donut floater for $70 pesos. There is a lot to do in this place. Really clean restrooms and dressing rooms ( I was very surprised about this one) there are life guards left and right. There are places in which you can settle and place your belongings. I am really satisfied about this place.
Cesar Molina — Google review
The place is lots of fun. You can bring anything with you except beer and anything with glass. The food is good. Price is good 250 pesos per person and kids 3ft and under are 100 something like that.

Such an amazing park! Do NOT ride Medusa though!! I caught air on that slide and landed on my neck (see video 😂). I also saw many other people catching air and landing horribly. Could have ended very badly. But fun time with great food & drink. Margaritas are excellent and come in a fun collectible cup!

Came to visit on a Thursday as the weather allowed. Staff followed covid protocols and guided our group on when we were allowed and permitted to unmask since we first set foot onto the property. 4 stars as a few of the slides weren’t in service, but for the most part we had things to do and our group stayed busy. Price range $200 pesos (around $10 in US) per person and $100 pesos ($5 in US) for anyone under 4.26 feet (1.30 metros). Will definitely visit again

My kids love this place they have so much fun and no point of taking food because they sale so much food inside... But if you want to BBQ you can definitely take food and drink i just believe they don't allow alcohol. They have changing rooms. Many picking tables all over and chairs.. they remodeled an area for the kids like 7 to 12 splash zone.
The Pasaje Rodriguez is a popular destination in TJ that exemplifies the city's thriving urban art scene. The walls are adorned with colorful graffiti-style murals, creating a lively ambiance for visitors to enjoy while exploring the area's boho-style cafes, Oaxacan food stalls, local fashion boutiques, music bars, bookstores and craft shops.

The Pasaje Rodríguez is a pleasant interlude between the avenues Constitución and Revolución next to or pretty close to the noteable casino on Revolución. There's a nice bathroom for 7 pesos, a few restaurants within and one or two on the edges. There are places to buy beverages and sit to enjoy them. There's a good-size bookstore and places to get all sorts of odds and ends in addition to clothes. And it's inside, a pasage, where traffic can't get you. This passage is famous. You must visit it or why go downtown (as they say).
The Museum of the Californias, established in 2000, offers guided tours and displays that focus on the history of Baja California from prehistoric times to present. The exhibits include replica cave paintings, realistic dioramas, and scale models showcasing historical milestones such as a 16th-century ship, several missions, and a freestone chapel. Visitors can enjoy bilingual exhibits in English and Spanish with an affordable admission price of only 20 pesos per person.
The structure is amazing the entrance was cheap they a lot of great stuff to see if you love history or want to learn more about Mexico history it’s a good place to start I really appreciate how once you enter you start from when we had different tribes and how the years changed a lot when religion took a rule . Also how people from china came to Mexico I think it is very cool cause many people don’t know that part of history it can explain why many of us have Asian features. I would really recommend this museum just a lot of great things to learn also don’t forget to take a walk in the garden where you can see many temple of Aztec and maya gods .

Starts off slowly with early history, but the coverage between the missions and modern day Baja California is fascinating.
Needs better signage for where the box office is.

I really like this musuem, the price is amazing. ( I think is less than 5 dollars). I hope it gets renovated a bit soon. I think the information it provides is amazing and accurate, it does a good job in provided history of native communities, I wish it had more info about the languages, tradition and main holidays too. There were some typos in the English translation, but they do a very good job in translating all of it. I think this a treasure in Tijuana. I can spend the entire day in the Cecut.
Friendship Park, located at the southwest corner of the USA, offers a unique and emotional experience. The park provides a simple yet powerful setting where visitors can witness the human connection across borders. From the park, one can look through the fence and observe life on the Tijuana side while enjoying breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, especially during sunset. While it's about a mile-long walk from the parking lot to reach the park, during summer months, visitors have access to drive up to it.
Lots of paintings along the wall and some cool wings painted on the building across from the wall. There’s a bathroom open in the day time there an a strip or bars and restaurants. The views to the other side are amazing seeing San Diego in the distance.

I recently visited Friendship Park and it was a surreal experience. It was heart-wrenching to see undocumented people speaking to their relatives through the gate that divides two countries. While it was a beautiful sight to witness the power of human connection, it was also kind of sad to see the limitations that come with borders. Nonetheless, it was definitely an eye-opening experience that I would recommend to anyone who wants to learn more about the struggles of undocumented immigrants.

Being from the USA side of the wall, Friendship Park really shines from the Tijuana side. A beautiful park full of art and flowers... Hope for the future and the value of our countries. It seemed safe at the beach, but always use caution. It took us 4 hours to cross thru the border to return home on a Sunday afternoon. Tons of shopping opportunities while in line to cross back. Be sure to bargain on prices.

This is in the heart of the border wall. Many people flock here because it’s a natural location. There is a lot of art, some planet and some random. Definitely you get the vibe of the human capital of people who cross the border and troubles all the way along.

Southwest corner of USA. the park is very simple but the place is unique and invokes so many feelings . you can look through the fence and see life on tijuana side. the views of pacific ocean are amazing , specifically if you get there at sunset times. there is about a mile long (one way) walk from the parking lot (outside the gates) . During summer months apparently the gates are open and you can drive all the way up to the park.
The Reloj Monumental, a contemporary and impressive arch towering 60 meters high, featuring a sizable digital clock face was unveiled in 2001. The area surrounding the monument provides an enjoyable atmosphere for activities such as dining, drinking and shopping.
Tijuana Beach is a well-known spot for sunbathing and swimming, complete with watchful lifeguards and various bars and restaurants in close proximity. The area boasts an array of food options so travelers can satisfy their hunger easily. Additionally, this popular beach spot has plenty of activities to keep visitors entertained during their stay.
The Beach Here is Amazing and peaceful. The weather is the absolute best. The local citizens are welcoming and always happy. The Police are all trustworthy and work hard. I have seen religious services on the beach as well.
(The United States wall needs to go. It's absolute ignorance. I apologize to the people. If It was up to me it wouldn't exist.)

Don’t think about coming here in the morning it’s dead. Definitely come after 12:00 it’s a big boardwalk of all foods seafoods, tacos, brunch spots, candy stands and coconut stands and so much more! It was fun with the music and the lively hood of the town! The water was super cold but if it’s a really hot day then the water is refreshing!

You can tell that it was once a beautiful beach and colorful boardwalk but no more. It's sad to see a beach so dirty. I had high hopes for this beach from all the reviews I read but really disapoited. You can smell the sewage running under the boardwalk and there was trash everywhere you went 😞.
