Mina El Eden is a 16th century mine located in Zacatecas, Mexico which now houses a rock and mineral museum. The mine features dioramas, tours and a mine-cart ride as well as a rock & mineral museum.
It’s a must see attraction if you are visiting Zacatecas. Our tour guide was funny and very knowledgeable. Super safe, very interesting and just price. At the end of the tour you have the option of returning by train to where you started or go can go up an elevator to another exit that takes you to the cable car to Bufa hill “la bufa”.

Excellent experience for anyone looking to have an adventure in Zacatecas. Your are only available in Spanish, but the walk through the mine is still worth it. Beautiful areas, credible facts and chill temperatures throughout. Afterwards you have the option to take the train back or the Teleférico 🚠.

I had a really nice and well informed tour guide, it was impressive to be so deep in the mountain. Price is fair and it was really worth a visit, as you also learn about the city and its history.

The tour lasted 2 hours. I was recovering from an ankle injury and wasn't a rough walk The Tour Guide was very knowledgeable, courteous and funny he was making very funny jokes throughout the tour.
We were surprised how clean and organized the tour was I highly recommend it for everyone.

Great place to learn about the history of the mine. The tour guide Daniel (pale skin, soft voice, male, and short in height) made the experience so much better by making our group laugh and have an enjoyable experience. Definitely worth it, especially if you have tour Guide Daniel.

Excellent tour of the mine, in English with a voluntary tip. Well worth the tip. The female guide spoke well and was a fountain of information. 4 stars because the douche bag selling the tickets said the tour was in English and Spanish. Once inside after purchasing ticket said tour only in Spanish. Why not be honest from the start? If the problem was not understanding English or my poor Spanish, then hire someone with a basic understanding of the language.

Great and beautiful place. You take a train ride down into the mountain (a few minutes, but it felt like an eternity) once you reach bottom you will find a small museum and even a dance club! Mine is well lit and a little cool so bring a light jacket. Tour usually is about an hour, but after, you can explore at your own pace. We spent about two hours looking at everything. Tours are in spanish.

Last time I visited this place it did not have the upgrades and access to areas it does now. It’s beautiful down there. Just make sure you wear a light sweater because it gets a little chilly. If you’re claustrophobic, you might not want to go.

This is a must-do if you are visiting Zacatecas. Very interesting to get to go into an underground mine. There are two entrances, both are within walking distance of the centro. I'd recommend going to the one by the Alameda because you get to enter via train whereas the other entrance is by elevator. The price is $100 MXN for an adult. Be sure to ask for an English guide because the Spanish tour guide spoke really quickly - a bit above my ability to follow him as an intermediate-level Spanish speaker. On weekend nights the mine opens as a club/bar - looked pretty cool.

Pretty cool, definitely recommend! Plus the beautiful crystals you see and the history behind it, also our tour guy was amazing, friendly and funny!
La Bufa Mountain is the dominant peak in Zacatecas and offers stunning views of the city below. There are churches, a planetarium, and scenic viewing platforms on the hill, making it a popular tourist destination. The most appealing explanation for the name of the mountain is that bufa means wineskin in Basque, which according to legend, resembles the rocky formation.
The most beautiful view you can get!
Such a fabulous place for a nice walk with your loved one. Felt so nice. History you can read too. It was cloudy but the view was so worth driving up there. We didn’t get to ride the teleférico but definitely will next time we’re visiting. Please visit, you won’t regret it!!!

Very lovely view of Zacatecas Mexico you can take the cable car which cost 160 pesos per person round-trip or you can take an Uber which is probably more like 60 pesos for a car load. Your choice I don't really like heights so in retrospect I should have just taken the Uber

Rafael Coronel's excellent Museo Rafael Coronel is a must-see museum for anyone interested in Mexican folk art. The collection of masks is particularly impressive, as are collections of totem poles, pottery, puppets, and other fascinating objects. All labeling is in Spanish only.
This museum housed in an ancient church displays the ingenuity of people who make masks for different occasions and sizes out of simple objects. Hundreds of interesting masks on display. Includes a wonderful exhibit of puppets used in shows as well as prehistoric pottery. The ruins that house the museum show the beauty of the architecture and well worth a visit. Expect to spend an hour or more.

Stop by Rafael Coronel museum in Zacatecas to discover history and traditions though the use of masks in the Mexican culture. I wish the museum had more descriptions about the beautiful expositions and its employees were more informative. I asked a few basic questions and they were no able to answer, but I have to say, all the staff was very polite and welcoming.
During my visit the museum had a en exposition from India with beautiful pieces that other way I would never be able to appreciate.
I also was invited to sign a guest book and noticed that the museum is visited by foreign tourists, it will be great if the museum includes brief description of its pieces in order lenguajes.
This museum is a gem in the enchanting city of Zacatecas Mexico.

Wow! What a crazy massive museum of the most unusual collection! Put on good walking shoes, you are in for a good walk! The masks were very strange and interesting. I particularly enjoyed the grounds that the museum is located. It was previously a nunnery. $30 pesos to enter. And we had to get a locker for our purse and backpack. That was free.

If you come to Zacatecas, you should visit this museum, Rafael Coronel was brother to Pedro Coronel, and although the main attraction of this museum are the mask collection, there’s still plenty of other collections to see.
It used to be a seventh teen century convent by Franciscan monks and its been restore bit by bit.
There’s a collection of Diego’s Rivera incursion into arquitecture, several blue print of Anahuacalli house ( where he store his personal prehispanic art collection).
Ruth Rivera was wife of Rafael Coronel that’s why they held several things from Diego Rivera.
They also have a mexican poppet collection. Industry which has entirely disapear.
They also have several pieces from India that Rafael collected in his life.
Visit it!! It wont disappoint!!
The Teleférico de Zacatecas is a sightseeing ride that takes visitors up to the top of the city. It has a glass floor, so riders can see down into the city below. The mountain cable car is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Zacatecas, and locals love it too. There are local vendors along the way who sell items like mezcal, which is said to be some of the best in Mexico.
Nice, feels like the containers are new, they are in good condition. Not expensive and upside on "bufa" hill the landscape it's the best. Windy, a lot.

The Zacatecan Museum showcases a large collection of Huichol art and archeological relics, as well as artwork from throughout Mexico. This museum has been renovated in the last few years and now offers a unique perspective on Zacatecas' history.
A good place to view old coins and some documents but the favorite part for us was seeing beautiful Hoichol Indian artwork and to learn about their customs and their sacred trail. Would love to see more of their fabric artwork for sale in the gift shop.

This museum held a large format abstract art in MX.
Although Im not into abstract art, this museum totally worth it.
In 1970, MX was invited to the Osaka Fair, while we were just emerging from 1968, artists wanted to show a different face of our county, so they based this exposition in abstract art ( before this movement, MX art was mainly nacionalisism) So they developed this large format paintings and ended up in this museum.
Unfortunately Manuel Felguérez have just died (2020).

A surprisingly large and interesting museum. It has lots of art from many different artists and although when you enter it appears quite unimpressive it will lead you through it's maze-like halls and lead you on an adventure. The cost is even surprisingly affordable. Upon entering I thought I might spend half an hour looking at the displayed paintings and sculptures but only left nearly two hours later. It is absolutely worth a visit both to the knowledgeable art connoisseur but also, like myself, someone who does not know much about it but simply enjoys looking at art. The only negative thing I experienced was that especially toward the end it became slightly difficult to navigate. The entire time it had been very clear which way I was supposed to go but at the end I had to guess how they wanted me to end my visit.
