The Esperance Museum is a unique and meticulously curated collection that showcases the history of the region, with a particular emphasis on wartime efforts and pastoralism. The museum's exhibits feature a diverse range of subjects, including vintage machinery, old railway cars, maritime objects, and even a space station. Housed in repurposed old stores, the museum offers visitors an affordable entry fee to explore its fascinating collections.
What a great museum we throughly enjoyed the memorabilia and the history of the museum and Esperance township
It’s fantastic to see so many volunteers working in the facility and taking so much pride on the standard of the displays available for the general public.
The machinery section was a winner with the guys it was terrific trying to identify the equipment it bought back some many memories
The old steam engine and carriages were in perfect condition and lovely to see
The old ships were sensational including the small models scattered all around
The Sky Lab display had us all talking for ages and discussing how lucky the area was not to suffer any injury from the falling debris
Beautifully presented museum so clean and beautifully laid out
Must be getting old as I could easily identify most of the can goods and kitchen products the memories just kept flowing back
Must also comment on the opening of the time capsule what a surprise that was full of interesting history it was intriguing but a very disappointing decision not to build an abattoir in an area that really needed one
Loved the wetlands behind the museum good idea and very pretty and well maintained
Well done staff and those wonderful volunteers great job guys love the place

Sneaking into this humble looking from the outside museum, there’s so much of surprises to discover. Lady in front is friendly and helpful.
With a little price tag to pay, you can easily spend over 2 hours there with kids having fun exploring the train and calling each other on the telephone booth while the adults learning about the Skylab and so many historical gems.
Was once fully ran by volunteers, now partially, this place has been very well maintained. Toilet is surprisingly sparkling clean!
This place is full of potential and is highly recommended for those who appreciate to learn about things of previous generations used (when the world was still plastic free).

Filled to the brim with exhibits featuring Esperance history. Well worth popping in, easy to spend a few hours there and a variety of subjects to learn about.

It is such a pity that volunteers are so hard to come by.
This necessitates the opening hours to be rather restricted.
Some folks would say "seen one museum you have seen them all". This is not the case! The Esperance Museum is definitely unique and has to be put on every Esperance visitor's must do list!

Such a fantastic trip down memory lane. Such a lot of local history in one place that I can highly recommend and not to pricey for the family. I have to say that a stand out display for me was all the debris from Skylab which fell in the area. So interesting.

It is a bigger museum than it looks like. You can see all the history of Esperance (maritime and natural history, machinery and agriculture, military display, skylab etc). 👍
They have a lot of things here and even railway carriage and a locomotive! 😊
The staff was friendly and I could have the concession with a international student card. 👍
(By the way, the entry fee is cheap 😉)
It is too bad that the museum only open at 1:30 pm. 😕
Their souvenirs shop is too small with a few range of products.
I also wanted to see more about the aboriginal culture. 😔
(After the visit of the museum, you have a beautiful park just next to it! 🦆)

Esperance Museum was a delightful little gem to explore during our stay between Christmas and New Year 2021. A quirky, carefully curated museum that reflects the history of the area with a strong focus on the war time efforts and pastoralism. The repurposing of the old stores makes for a marvellous space to house one of the most interesting collections I have ever wandered through. Would highly recommend a visit. Entry fee is completely affordable and more than well worth it.

Very interesting lot's to see, spent 2 hours looking around. Had bit's of Skylab when it crashed in the outback.

Plenty of items in a small museum. Not the best displays but worth for money. Some best of vintage items are here....

What a great museum with so much in it.
Well laid out and very relevant to the area.
Loved the train in the middle of the museum. Unfortunately I missed it each time it came by!!!!
Having the questions on the pamphlet was a great idea.
It brought back memories of when I was growing up particularly with the communication equipment and the household items.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Thank you
Blue Haven is a picturesque beach in Esperance, characterized by its curved white sandy shores and rocky cliffs that offer stunning views. The beach can be accessed via steep wooden steps but once on the sand, visitors are greeted with protected waters of turquoise blue that stand out even among Esperance's many breathtaking beaches. With an expansive stretch of sand perfect for walks or sunbathing, Blue Haven offers crystal clear waters that make it a must-visit destination for those exploring the area.
Feels like heaven after a long hour drive from Perth City . Water is so clear blue . Just beautiful

Beautiful place but there are many more beautiful ones in this region, so this might not be your first destination in Esperance. If you have enough time, I would recommend you visit. Being close to the town is a good point.

Breathtaking white sand beach with crystal blue green waters, what an amazing view, a must visit while you are in Esperance. I wish I could stay longer.

Breathtaking beach in the middle of Esperance and there was no one there!!
I'm reluctant to say much about this place in case it causes a major influx of visitors, because it is a beautiful rugged quiet place. Ideal for dog walking and admiring the awesome views. If I say too much then I won't have it all to myself (and my dog).

Awesome lookout and scenic walk trails with magic views of the coastline.
Trails can be slippery so wear good tread shoes.
Plenty of parking .
Close to town so a must do when visiting Esperance.

On top of a hill this lookout offer great views to sea and the city of Esperance, but it's a steep climb to get there if you're towing. A good place to wander around the exposed rock slabs to look at native flowers and take in the wonderful views.

Fantastic view from the lookout. Quite a few walks from there as well. We did the Lovers beach walk, challenging but definitely worth it.

Hospitality Esperance, SureStay Collection By Best Western
The Best Western Hospitality Inn Esperance offers budget-friendly accommodations featuring an open-air swimming pool, a dining establishment serving Australian cuisine, and a cocktail lounge that overlooks the bay. The lodging is designed to provide guests with comfortable amenities at an affordable price point. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the beautiful views of the bay while they dine or relax in the lounge area.
Our first trip to Esperance and stayed here at Hospitality Inn on recommendation from friends, not expecting much but were surprising delighted. The room we got allocated (Rm 7) was very spacious and clean with parking right in front of our room door. Included continental breakfast is fresh and makes a good start for the morning. This property is all location, location, location being conveniently in town across the foreshore and within walking distance of shops, restaurants, pubs etc. Staff are friendly and were very accommodating with our booking changes as we had to cut our 5 day trip down to 3 days due to illness. A special thank you goes out to the front desk manager, Morag, who was understanding of our requirements at check-in and check-out also offering to return one nights accommodation due to the circumstance. We will definitely stay here again when back in town!

An excellent motel to stay at. The staff are all very professional and friendly made you feel relaxed. The Seasons restaurant was lovely for dinner, great selection of food and wines. We stayed here for a special occasion and upon that knowledge the staff even gave us a complementary breakfast.

We had nice time in Esperance. The hotel is simple but had everything we needed. The room was very clean and serviced everyday. The staff very gentle. The breakfast good to start the day and also the restaurant Season serves good meal. We just suggest to have more options to the meals. We liked our stay!

The beds was comfortable and clean when we arrived had soft towels housekeeping was hit and miss one day it was really good could do with a plate or two and some cutlery so when you buy takeaway.
The restaurant we went to first night as we arrived late so some of the choices wasn't available so what choice we had for me wasn't very nice and for what we paid was very expensive but overall we would stay again as close to the bus station the beach and the town centre and we was able to hire a car

Room was antique but clean, staff were friendly, the breakfast was decent. The restaurant, were they served the breakfast, was clean and organised. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in Esperance for few nights. However, if you are expecting for a luxury hotel experience in Esperance, than Esperance isn't the place for you to visit.

Enjoyable 2 night stay, the included continental breakfast is delicious and was more than I expected. Very friendly staff, made me feel welcome. The shower temp was a little hard to gauge between cold and hot. The freezer door in the fridge was missing so my frozen goods melted.

Good location. Quick check in including on line pre arrival check in. Rooms have all you need. The one a had did have a stale smoke smell but I don't blame the staff when guests can't be considerate and smoke outside.
Restaurant meal was good and the continental breakfast was good.
I will stay here again.

Smackdown near the town center, Hospitality Esperance is an icon.

Thankyou Esperance for being more than I expected. View from Motel is beautiful together with the walk along the foreshore to the jetty (2 coffee shops here). Thankyou to a couple of local gents explaining what was happening with the large iron ore container ships being loaded & the work the shire has done to the foreshore.
Visited the beaches both to east and west of town together with Stonehenge - all fantastic.
Special mention to Bread Local (on Pink Lake Rd - your food was outstanding together with a nice cuppa🍮🥖 - we would have come back but were advised you were closed😢
Only downers were wifi was very poor at motel & as we were there only for the weekend a lot closes earlier than Perth.

I stayed there from November 20 to November 24. The rooms were very clean and I received good service. The motel is centrally located to the beach and all the shops. I especially appreciated the help of Wout at the front desk who was extremely helpful and friendly. All staff were extremely nice and helpful and it made it a pleasant stay. Much appreciated Sarah

Go Ahead and book the Hospitality Esperance with confidence.
The room was adequate and tidy for a short stay which suited our needs. The breakfast was a bonus only the basics like cereal, toast, fruit, coffee etc. But more than enough to start your day.
Rooms 5 star
Service 5 star
Location 5 star

We found the rooms basic and our first night we were disturbed til quite late by the people next door being very noisy, but very well cared for and serviced well each day. Our pillows were a little on the 'solid' side but in all, I can't fault the stay for convenience and (as the name says) hospitality. The staff were all exceedingly friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfasts were delicious and simple to access. As a family of four we enjoyed ourselves very much. Only wish that the pool season had already started.
