Wylies Baths is a historic swimming pool located in Sydney's Rocks area. It was originally established in 1907 by champion long distance swimmer Henry Alexander Wylie, and underwent extensive restoration in 1995-97. The pool is full of history with its original rickety wooden structure perched over the rocks that remember, as well as its charm and panoramic views of the ocean.
Performed here with my acapella choir on Friday night. Very pretty at sunset

Nice swim spot, reasonable price to get in. Not ideal for lap swimming. Coffee shop took 20+ mins to make a bacon and egg roll. Staff seem pretty chill
Sean Paul — Google review
Beautiful place. Nice views.
Big wide and spacious.
Staff are nice.
I give it 4 stars coz the whole pool is pretty much rock pool with just concrete structure.
There could be sharp sea urchins in water so watch out.
So the rock pool is perfect for swimmers who need that privacy.
You can touch the ground but it's best to avoid walking in the pool coz of the rocks and coral etc.
I also give it 4 stars coz of the $5 entrance. I think it should be like $3 or $4 bucks.
But yeah id's go back if I want to avoid crowds.
Not a place for little kids.
Coz they need to have floaty or need to swim without touching ground.

1 million stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ to my awesome and amazing friend Rose, Daraina, Efra , Guada , Very chilled and welcoming service. Coming from an African background I felt more relaxed at this venue. Everyone and the community is really welcoming and genuine. Will return again. Also big thanks to Gavin from the Swim Club (Coogee Diggers) he showed me around. I respected everyone's privacy as I was taking video and photo shoots for my new YouTube channel ( Harmony.Australia ) . Instagram - mo.kka.mo

Great place to swim and chill at the southern end of Coogee. Cafe good too but can be a bit challenging to find a park.
Marcel George — Google review
An amazing place! Great view from the deck over Coogee beech and Wedding Cake island. It has a nice cafe with good coffee and food/cakes/ice-cream, and friendly staff. Can easily chill here most of the day. Nice changing rooms with showers (20c for a 2 min hot shower). Make sure you check the tide times and the live pool webcam on the website before you go as it can get quite choppy. When the tide is low and the sun is out, the pool and swimming conditions are amazing. Also cool to snorkel there as there is plenty of sea life in the pool. A hidden away gem in Sydney.

(4.5 stars)
Wylie’s Baths is so good, they wrote a book about it that you can buy from the kiosk. Despite the Edwardian features of a very British approach to bathing, including the wooden structures housing a popular café, excellent change rooms and more, the pool itself is one of the more natural environments you can find in NSW. In other words, it’s a ‘living pool’ with marine life, a natural rock bottom, octopus, fish, sea urchins, and more.
Tread carefully in this relatively shallow pool as you take in the spectacular views: Coogee Beach in one direction and Wedding Cake Island out to sea. Even looking back towards the entrance is pleasurable, as the whole place feels like you are in some retro time warp of an endless summer captured in old paintings or photographs.
We hadn’t been here in decades and felt a bit silly about that after finally returning. This is an archetypal Australian pool experience and is highly recommended.

Love this place. Perfect if you don’t like sand but want fresh water!

Nothing special, just waste of 6$ per person. Just keep walking you will find more better places and views. For bath and swim the main beach will be the best option.

sunshine, ocean swims, and tasty food☀️ Just watch out for those sneaky sea urchins! Wear reef shoes and stick to the shallows for a perfect Coogee day.

perfect little spot for some sun and ocean. great facilities for those who don’t like the sand and busyness of the beaches. Ample areas for sun bathing, cafe with great food options, and enough swim without the waves. Great for families or for anyone wanting a bit of quiet and relaxation.

Our fav rock pool/baths in Sydney, worth the small entry fee (plenty of shade, showers and cafe available). Parking free, but tricky to find on a busy day. Lots of aquatic life (sea urchins, starfish, fish etc).
Royal Randwick is a two-storey indoor mall housing various casual eateries, retail shops and services including a grocery store. The mall comprises of a small but well-stocked supermarket, Woolworths which is one of the two in Randwick. Commuting to Central station has become easier with the introduction of new light rail trains in the lovely small town. The mall is always maintained clean and tidy with ample parking space (except on busy Saturday mornings).
Shopping centre in the middle of Randwick. Not too many options for window shopping as it's a smaller space, but it's a great place to come to get things done in your day. Gym, library, GP, dentist, butcher, fish monger, grocer, supermarket, bakery and a few nice quick eats including sushi are all there.
Jeremy T — Google review
Extremely poor parking situation. Getting in and out is awful. With the crawling cars and low ceiling height, the air quality is cancerous. The parking experience consistently ruins my experience of shopping at this mall. There also no ventilation in the lifts. People driving in with kids in prams beware! Also, the AusPost here is one of the worst. Long queues snaking through the whole level, and unadvertised unexpected closure days. At the very least, update your opening hours on Google!
Keziah John — Google review
The Royal Randwick shopping centre has all the basics. There’s a Woolies, Harris Farm, post office and a few eating options. There is underground parking at the centre with up to 2hrs free so plenty of time to get shopping done. What it’s lacking is seating. Only Soul Food and another cafe have seats for their customers but for food bought from other eateries, there is no general food court seat. Or even if people just want to have a moment to sort themselves. Toilets are located on level one via escalators or lifts. This is a big miss for elderly visitors.

A small mall, with a supermarket, Woolworths, one of 2 in Randwick, which is served, by the new light rail trains, to Central station. It's a lovely small town, now well connected, to Central station, by the light rail.

This place is a relic, a time capsule of the 60s … no natural light or windows. Clinical white on white. Fundamentally an incredibly depressing area to navigate or spend time shopping. Highly recommend somewhere else to spend your time.

I really only come here for the Harris Farms. They recently revamped the place and it's amazing! There seems to be more selections now. A very good stop before coming to work and getting yourself food to eat through the day.

Well into 'post pandemic' Randwick has everything you need i like the shops very good quality bit not too expensive clothing ,Cotton On ,Seed ,Decjuna . Willie's ,Harris Farm , delicatessen ,kitchen Nik naks also great cafes and food places . Specsavers too. My main issue is the parkig i find the underground carpark very very stressful it's 1.85 high so for sml cars only and the spaces are so tight crammed close together i feel very claustrophobic and stressed when trying to get out in my Tarago . Be very careful of school children in this carpark and all people i guess !!!! There are ALOT walking all over the place and this adds to the stress 😬 so be careful . St George bank not far from the Royal place which is great and KFC there too. I was o real impressed & finally automated parking machine ticketless parking .10/10

This place needs better directories and maps. It can be a little confusing finding specific businesses.
Otherwise, its a very good place for shopping. Wide range of businesses and services available. Clean and plenty of space for walking, pushing trollies and strollers etc.
The toilets are really clean, with handicap facilities and a very nice modern aesthetic.
The lifts work well and are updated ones.
Its such a beautiful spot by the sea great to kick back & sit with friends & family to eat & talk

Nicely kept park with open space and sitting places at north end of Coogee beach. Lot of shade, usually a pleasant breeze to cool a hot day. Lovely to hear the sea at work, breaking away at the cliffs. Be careful near the cliff edge if you have toddlers with you.

Fantastic views of the ocean, from a relaxing meandering walkway, with some hills to get the blood pumping. Windswept trees that look like bonsai, some protected rocky outcrops where you might spot a skink sunning on a rock.

Dunningham Reserve is a very popular spot for tourists and locals to sit and have a picnic, sunbath and relax the whole year round. There is easy access to the north side of Coogee Beach as well as Giles Baths. You can find a shower at one of the stairways from the beach as well as public toilets. These, however are portable toilets. It would be nice to have a more permanent toilet block in this area. You will find the Bali Memorial at the top of the hill which is also along the path of the popular Eastern Suburbs Coastal Walk.

After googling “Randwick parks” I was delightfully led to this lovely little nature walk surrounded by nothing but trees, bugs, a wooden path, and lovely ambience. Unfortunately it was pretty hot that day so my partner and I were sweating our buttocks off. It was a pretty nice walk for sure, and there were lots of places where you could just pause and stare at for a moment and continue with the journey. Definitely a must for nature lovers. The wooden path is mostly narrow, where it could fit 2 people if they turned over to their sides, but there are also a few resting spots with benches and a wider space for those who want to chill out for a bit.

The Mahon Pool is a saltwater pool located in Maroubra Beach, Sydney. The pool is named after the farm that it used to stand on, and due to its wild location it is often called the impossible pool. Situated close to the ocean, the pool is perfect for a swim with amazing views. Parking can be found nearby as well as toilets and showers.
great pool to cool down in the hot summer weather. Take a nice walk from Coogee to Mahon Pool and you will be glad to jump right in. Very family friendly place has the usual amenities and a lovely cafe acrosss the road. So what are you waiting for go and enjoy.

There is no better place to spend a late evening on a hot humid summer scorching day, as the sun is setting than Mahon Pool. The coolness of the ocean water, feeling the on shore breeze across your skin & while walking across the rocks back to your car.
Then sitting up in the park watching the full moon appear, before grabbing some fish n chips for dinner on your walk home....

Located just around 600 meters north of Maroubra Beach, Mahoo Pool is truly a Young Adult's Paradise. With parking, Changing Room facilities on site, it is a very popular spot for getting rid of Summer heat. Its decent size, plus regular tidal Waves, this wonderful Rock Pool brings lots of fun and excitement for people who take a plunge there. However, I personally don't recommend anyone taking young children there, particularly during storming weather conditions. I am uploading two photos as references.

Mahon Pool was built in the 1930s as an unemployment relief project, making it almost a hundred years old. It was first listed with the National Trust in 1994, stating it had “high aesthetic value due to its siting and the manner by which the pool tends to ‘melt’ into the rock platform”.
We agree, hence our second visit this morning after a four-year absence. It has great change facilities (good job Randwick City Council) plus outdoor showers too, and free four-hour parking at the top of the hill that overlooks it.
This is everything we love about ocean pools: democratic, diverse and free as a bird for all. It’s full of marine life too if you want to bring your snorkeling gear. We’ll inevitably return again.

I can't wait to visit here one balmy night in Sydney over the summer months! I love that it's quite easily accessible from the main road. The fact that there is parking for a fair few cars is a massive bonus. There are bathrooms here and are a far cry better than than ones by the pavilion on Maroubra Beach (avoid those ones like the plague BTW!).

Love this place. Saltwater swimming without getting sand places you don't want it, and the sense that you are somewhere remote (no buildings are visible from the pool, as far as I understand). It's a great reward for doing the coastal walk from Coogee, if that's your thing.
The Museum of Human Disease is an educational attraction in Kensington, Sydney that houses a medical pathology collection. A little out of the way and a totally weird choice for a tourist to stop but if you're into the gruesome and scientific, this is a great spot. Really reasonably priced and although it's quite small I was kept busy for hours looking at all the specimens and reading about them on the ipad you are given when you enter. Bear in mind before you go the organs in the museum are real human specimens so it's not for the weak stomached. You're also asked not to take photos directly of the specimens out of respect but selfies where they just so happen to be in the background are okay. I opted to not take any photos just in case! Either way I found it fascinating and loved my time there.

Excellent place to explore, understand and admire the human body. Plenty of wet specimen, a couple of models. Great to explain to my 5 year old how the body works. 10 bucks for adults, definitely worth the money. Sadly taking photographs is not allowed.. but well .. thats kind of understandable..
Paine Reserve is a valuable local area that serves as an important hub for community sports, dog walkers, and offers thrilling rock formations for the local children. Especially during lockdown, it has become even more significant as a space where people can engage in activities such as walking, yoga, running, kite flying, and playing ball games. Adjacent to the reserve is a fenced playground equipped with swings, monkey bars, slides, and climbing structures designed for younger kids.
Nice big field.. there's some rocky outposts that give a nice aesthetic to the place and somewhere to sit other than the park seats.. there's a bubbler and toilets. Good for a soccer or footy match..or walking your pet pooch or kitty... Hell.. bring your rattie along so they can scamper around

The volunteers at PHH are doing a fantastic job. So many artifacts, so many stories. Even a working iron lung! Do yourself a favour and go visit...and leave a generous donation so they can keep up the great work

Did you know that there is an amazing museum on the site of where the wonderful Prince Henry Hospital used to be.
It's a journey back in time of how things used to be, amazing equipment uniforms, photos stories and many other things that would interest most who visit
The museum is open on Sundays from 9am
Go a long and enjoy the journey

Enjoyed a great Museum experience and learned a lot about medical and nursing history at Prince Henry Hospital. A great tribute to those who served over many decades.

Wonderful place to visit. The whole experience is so well planned.
Nice views, grated path that winds in and out of vegetation over varying terrain including exposed rock and (temporary?) wetlands. Plants grow up into the path for an immersive experience without worrying about damaging the ecosystem. Easy to step off onto the rock at many points. Sandstone path is uneven, but in fine condition. You can observe the endangered Eastern Suburbs Banksia Scrub plant community up close here.

Beautiful hike/run. Also good for whale watching off cliffs

A nice loop walk. Boardwalk parts close to coast are excellent but there are sections of easy rock and a trail at the both ends of the coast section. The return via shorter walk closer to suburbia is a mix of small sections of boardwalk and easy rock. Plenty of stairs in middle of the longer part closer to the coast walk and at various places on shorter section that completes the loop. Plenty of seats along the way but almost zero shade when sun is high. Pleasant, easy walk but I've seen nicer. Coast of course is impressive, with some huge cliffs visible in some sections.

yet another beautiful, well maintained national park! started my walk from The Big Rubik’s Cube towards Malabar Beach. lost count of the number of times i had to stop and take in these gorgeous views along the way. route was rather easy which took me just about an hour.

Great place for a hike so close to the Sydney CBD. This park offers a nice coastal walk with an amazing view. The beach, waves and smell of the ocean offer a great track. Remnants of abandoned bunkers scatter this headland and offer a bit more to see than your usual trails. What a great track!!
Highly recommended

Easy afternoon stroll. Flat surface, yet not accessible to wheelchairs. Beautiful views, watch whales, seals and/or dolphins.

Great walking trail next to Maroubra Beach! About a 3 to 3.2km (52 min hike at 16min/km with altitude gain of 52m) hike from the Beach end to the Boat Ramp carpark off Fisherman’s Road. You can park either end although it was a struggle on a Sunday to park at Maroubra Beach carpark. Trail is relatively flat however there are stairs so probably not recommended for wheelchairs. Most of the trail is paved but about 300m at the start of either end is either gravel or sand.
Views are fantastic on a sunny day! Remember to bring your suntan lotion and wear your cap and sunglasses!

Spectacular national park very close to Maroubra beach (south end). Newly installed elevated track. Huge sandstone cliffs and some significant danger close to the edge so pay attention when you are on the rocks.

Amazing hidden gem, best access is via a walking path at Arthur Byrne Reserve car park. Stroller friendly up until Magic Point.

Beautiful day and lovely location. Parking was tight but that would be expected for any of the Sydney beaches in the area. No waves so perfect for families with young children or those that prefer calm. Only criticism is that the seabed is very rocky and hard on the feet, other than the Southern part of the beach has some soft sand.

Nice walk and magnificent views!
I started walking from Malabar pool to Maroubra beach, then return to the pool and swim! Was such a perfect day!

Beautiful beach and scenery, small area. Thoroughly enjoyed my time there.
Great outdoor gym with almost all the equipment you want for calisthenics. It can get pretty windy though, but the view makes up for it

As far as free outdoor gyms go, this is the most comprehensive one that I have ever seen. There are about 15 machines where you are able to target pretty much any muscle group that you want in some way. It is also next to a large sport field to warm up and cool down. On top of that it’s free, open 24/7 and the views are amazing! It’s about 15m from the waters edge.

NIDA, the National Institute of Dramatic Art, offers a diverse range of performance opportunities in its multi-space venue. Students can participate in drama, musicals and dance productions, as well as witness shows by touring companies. The institute is renowned for its well-organized facilities and features an array of fresh food options at its cafes. Additionally, the main lobby is adorned with fascinating art pieces that enhance the aesthetic appeal of the venue.
I can't rave enough about how wonderful all the staff have been at NIDA. I have 3 boys enrolled in their courses.
It has significantly improved their self-esteem and confidence and they have so much fun collaborating with the other students.
I highly recommend it, it's the best money you'll spend on your child

I attended a musical.dance show last sat.and had a seat in the front row. The stage was so high that I could only see the top.half of dancers and not their dance steps or foot work at all. It is the way the theatre seating is designed …was a big disappointment

Kelly and Kate were amazing to talk to when I called up to do some enquiries. You can tell right away that they are great at what they do and very familiar with all walks of life …
I’ve heard many good things about the place and I’m really looking forward to attending their 8 weeks course in May.
Their programs look well structured and locations are quite easy to get to after Kate helped me see that it’s actually quite convenient with public transport.
Thank you ladies I hope to see you soon!

I CANNOT recommend the Brisbane yr 11/yr12 school term course at all. There is no continuity of teachers. NIDA will not give you a copy of the recorded work so that you can see what your child has done during the course. NIDA does not respond at all to requests for improvement. And last straw, my child said AGAIN another change in teacher for Term 3. When the child asked what the teacher's name was the male teacher replied "You can call me 'Sir' but I prefer 'Lord' " and did not provide his name. I paid for the entire year - which is almost $2000 for 2 hours each school term Saturday. It is a huge waste of money. Your child's time would be way better spent making 60 second reels in their bedroom and put a portfolio together. Glorified expensive baby sitting.

Fraudulent company
I don’t recommend working with this company. I worked with them for a photoshoot as a makeup artist and was committed to be paid on in the following week and it's been 3 weeks I been following up Lindsey Rubin (creative services manager) and she refuse to answer my calls or emails. Verry disappointing as i didn’t believe that a teaching institution that work with kids would chest their vendors like this.

One of my favourite acting school in Sydney. I have done a few courses with them and going to do more. The teachers are extremely knowledgeable, motivating and friendly. Love that I also meet nice people there.)
Des Renford Leisure Centre offers a range of amenities, including a large outdoor pool, a heated kids pool, a toddler pool, and both indoor competition and heated pools. The facility also provides ample outdoor space for picnics and has an on-site cafe. However, the indoor heated pool has been unavailable for free swim or aqua play for an extended period, which may make it less appealing during cooler seasons. Overall, the facilities are satisfactory without any notable issues.
Very large centre with multiple pools (indoor and outdoor), gym, creche, cafe, birthday party rooms and small swim shop.
The pools were well attended, I just only grabbed pix without many people in them for privacy reasons.
🥳 Attended for a party and had a great experience. There's an option for an inflatable obstacle course and separate party rooms, which was fantastic.
🚘 Easy parking lot parking
🚻 Change rooms could do with a bit of an update, some stalls out of order

We are members of a local surf lifesaving club for nippers and their skills test are done at this pool. Kids were free but have to pay spectator fees as a parent. Seriously. I didn't have my wallet with me so this was problematic. They wouldn't let me send my child in (in her swimsuit ready to go) without me also going in - she's 9yrs old and participating in squads. I was not at all impressed.

First visit for a few years. Beautiful clear water in heated 50m outdoor pool at great temp for lap swimming. Clean, dry changing rooms (so many other pools seem to have a permanent smelly swamp in their change rooms eg Icebergs, Cook & Phillip. Friendly concierge staff & lifeguard. I'll be back.
Neil Richards — Google review
They have main outdoor 25m pool, enclosed heated kids pool, shallow toddler pool, indoor 25m competition pool and indoor heated pool.
Plenty of outdoor space if you want to throw a picnic. Cafe available, too.
For some reason, indoor heated pool is not open for free swim or aqua play for quite some time now.
This makes it hard for me to choose this place during the cooler season especially with kids.
Other than that, facilities are okay in a reasonable condition, nothing special to complain about.
The staff there are mostly friendly, if not very keen in customer service occasionally.

Great swimming centre. There's inside and outside pools and a gym upstairs. Creche which apparently means babysitting centre in fancy council language so presumably you can throw your kids down while you go for a swim. You can have parties in the big pooll up the back which has a blow up castle

We have been clients in this pool for over 7 years and absolutely love all swim instructors and staff members, but this time we visited pool during school holiday for Inflatable and been verbally abused by Lifeguard Lucas, caused my child cry and the day ruined. The manager admitted the Lifeguard’s fault and apologised but not the lifeguard itself. Its pity such people work with kids and ruin the reputation of good places.

Amazing swimming instructors for the kiddies but there's one lady at reception who is needs to fix her attitude. She's the middle aged one with the long, streaky blonde/brown hair and glasses. The one who seems to be the team leader with the shoulder length brown hair is always super helpful and nice.

This place is falling apart! The showers, lockers, and many other things need to be fixed in the changing rooms. There are cockroaches everywhere, which is disgusting. The timetable for swimming lanes changes constantly to always give priority to Squad classes. Don't believe what I am saying? Go there and check it out yourself.

not all, but definitely by majority very unwelcoming service staff. often very obviously gossiping or making comments about members coming and going from the centre. the facilities may have improved over the years but the community feel that this pool had for years has definitely declined.
Heffron Park, located in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, Australia, is a remarkable recreational destination. It offers various facilities including an Olympic pool with a gym, a cycle track, soccer fields, an indoor archery center, football fields, cricket nets, and tennis courts. The park also features a kids cycle track with realistic miniature roads and traffic lights that children absolutely adore. Additionally, ample parking is available on-site.
Actully, ChatGPT recommended this park for me when I asked for a recommendation for 10k run with my dog. I absolutely loved my experience here. Unlike other nearby dog-friendly parks, Centennial and Astrolabe, it has easy flat surfaced track for running with amazing views. I went around at 7am and it was serene with a few slow paced bike riders. My dog enjoyed exploring this park, too!

I love Heffron Park. It is a big walk around the perimeter but well worth the effort. It's a great place to walk the dog and now there are bonuses of the new club rooms for the Rabbitohs football club and other sports facilities. Heffron Park has so many sporting facilities to cater to nearly everyone. It's a great all-around site.

I had a wonderful experience again and again they've got so many things to do you can play football in the pitch or basketball , netball and footy if you just feel like doing your own thing there's plenty of space to relax or just run around not o forget you can take your pets out on a walk or go on a bike ride there's even a section were people can ride there scooter. You can also have a nice little picnic at the park

Heffron Park was where I walked my dog in the mid 70's, there wasn't much else than the swimming pool or a very basic rough bike track. Now with Netball centre, Soccer centre, Tennis centre & the under construction of the high performance area for the Bunnies. This park is hard to go past as feature for the local residents living in Maroubra, Matraville or Pagewood area.

Fantastic park for families. It’s unique and scooters are ideal here with the just like real life roads and traffic lights that work! Great fully fenced areas and dog friendly around the park. Toilets and a lot of space for a bbq or picnic and other play equipment too. Five stars

Cricket, Football, AFL, NRL, Cycling, Tennis, Swimming, Running, Basketball - it’s all here.
Heffron Park is the Swiss Army Knife of sports areas. It’s a massive asset to the area!
Heffron Pedal Park is a fantastic concept that offers an enjoyable and educational experience for children. This fenced park replicates real road rules with signs and traffic lights, teaching kids about road safety while they have fun on their bikes or scooters. Located in a peaceful area of Heffron Park, it is conveniently close to the pool and offers ample parking. However, one concern raised is the suitability of the tall wire climb for toddlers and preschoolers.
A safe and enclosed space for the kids to ride around, you can easily keep an eye on them as they explore the area
Boxa Net — Google review
We went here for the grandsons excursion. Only concern is the very tall wire climb. I don't feel that this is suitable in a park area for toddlers and preschoolers.

This place is such a good idea. It's a pedal park with signs and traffic lights mimicking real road rules, where the kids can have fun and learn road safety.
It's fenced, and quite a large space where the kids can go on their bikes or scooters for a good amount of time. Pets not allowed inside.
It's in a quiet area of Heffron Park and really near the pool. Great place to bring the kids before or after a swim. Lots of parking available.

Great park for the little ones to learn how to ride their bike or scooter
David McCahon — Google review
We like the place, kids love it too. Only comment is that shade could be better for summer. Also last time the gate was broken not locking. There's a tap there that kids play with which can get messy in the playground area. The cycle area is absolutely amazing and we go there very often. Parking could be a problem during events - sometimes the grounds are used for competitions.
