Located in Sydney's affluent Bondi Beach neighbourhood, Tamarama Beach is a small, relaxed beach with stunning panoramic views. It's perfect for swimming, surfing and relaxing in the sun - but be careful of strong currents!
A very nice natural pool formed with rocks at Tamarama beach! Love it! My husband also loved the veggie sandwich at the Tamarama Beach Cafe with a wonderful view on a coastal walkway.

Small beach that has ongoing display (sculptures by the sea). Parking is pretty difficult even on a weekday. Surfers were frequently spotted, dog friendly beach.

This has become one of my favourite beaches, its a fair travel for me to get to, but well worth it. The waves can become a bit aggressive so wouldn't recommend children in the sea, however a massive area for the whole family to enjoy

Superb small beach. The young boardriders love it which is bad news for the swimmers after the life savers go home Good sandy beach area and grassy area with picnic tables. Newish toilet block adds to the convenience Roadside parking is limited and then a ramp or steps to go down to the beach so it's not so good for the disabled. Great views along the coast. Go for the view, picnic, surf or swim.

Small little beach along the Coogee to Bondi Walk that has great views and all the facilities of a beach that you need, i.e. showers, toilets and drinking fountains.

small beach with a beautiful cross-bedded outcrop of Sydney’s Hawkesbury Sandstone. wide expanse of sand and an iconic lifeguard tower. cute little beanbags for people to lie on and chill too.

Beautiful clear water, BBQ area and swimming 🏊♂️Tamarama Beach sits between two prominent headlands on the Bondi to Coogee Walk, with 80 metres of shoreline. It has great surfing condtions, but it is prone to strong currents. It is surrounded by parklands. There is a cafe, playground, barbecue area and amenities. Tamarama is often referred to as 'Glamarama" because its where beautiful people hang out! Today Tuesday morning 🌄 the cafe was busy but the beach was quite, I can't wait for it to get a little bit hoter so I can swim again! Tamarama beach ⛱️ is beautiful and swim 🏊♀️ at least once in your life time!

What a cool, almost hidden Beach! If you want a more private experience then Bondi you have to come to Tamarama! It was my favorite beach on the walk.
The water is turquoise and the waves were strong and fun to jump into. There are surfers and topless beach goers. Also a really cool natural smoothy place here as well!

Great beach, quieter than the other ones around. Lots of space and parking nearby.
Bondi Icebergs Club is one of Sydney's oldest and most iconic winter swimming clubs. It has a small museum and is located on the beachfront at Bondi Beach. The club offers spectacular views of the ocean from its location, as well as great swimming opportunities.
Great casual club located in
One of Sydney's most Iconic beaches. Really well priced food menu with delicious lobster spring rolls, caeser salad and lamb rump. The beef burger and chips are also great. Good alcohol drink prices.

A swim in this 50m length pool was in my bucket list & am I glad I could fulfill it. Either the big waves of the Tasman Sea splashing inside the pool was a dream come true for me. Great place, good lockers, clean washrooms & shower areas. Loved EVERYTHING except the SALTY water…

Fantastic views, iconic pool, had a great day. Change rooms are nice, maybe a little small for the amount of people.
Good food at the cafe and people don't stay long so got a table fairly quickly.
What could be better:
I think the black floored area could be changed as it's impossible to sit on- way to hot!

Went there on New year day, have had potatoe wedges and chicken wings. Didn't expect that I will get reheated over cooked Wings and Wedges were little bit over fried (not great quality potatoes either). Their local Chardonnay was nice though. Overall, it wasn't bad.

Great experience. Swimming w the seawater and waves. Lots of hunky crowds and bikinis.... better get your 6 pack on.
Water is freezing in summer at 19deg... bring woollen trunks.
Overall, a unique experience.

This was a treat to get in and be able to have lunch here. Couldn't get an outside balcony table but was able to get a table just inside the windows with a great view of Manly Beach. Food was good, although could have been warmer. Service was good and location was excellent. Would definitely visit again.

One of the best experiences of my life.
But it does involve braving the unheated water for that first minute of adjusting, public showers and towels, and nowhere on-site to purchase sunscreen if you run out. Yet that all made me almost like it more. Feels like a local spot just as much (if not more) than a tourist destination.
Klarese Donnelly — Google review
The food that I ordered was not really good, especially the taco. I only had one bite and couldn’t finish it. But the view was so good so.. I will visit again.

No better view of Bondi Beach than at the Bondi Icebergs Club. Great place to sink a beer by the beach and pool below with sweeping views of the ocean. Food could’ve been a bit better and there wasn’t a wide range of dishes on offer in the bistro.

Exotic view at the tip of bondi beach. The food and drinks are average. But the vibe was beautiful for a brunch day!

Make sure you’re at least wearing shoes! Sounds basic but the young kids in front of us got knocked back as they thought they could enter with their bare feet.
Came around 12 noon on a Sunday afternoon, surprisingly was easy to find a table outside with an amazing view looking out to Bondi beach. The fish and chips was very good, better than expected although in my opinion astronomically expensive ($35 though I get it part of it is your paying for the location). Besides the price, everything from the crumbled fish, generous portion of chips and seasoned salad was very good and balanced.
Worth checking out for the experience and marvellous views. The food is noticeably expensive but at least of very good standard.

Always a super dining experience. Fantastic food choice, wonderful atmosphere and inspiring ocean views. We were lucky, because during our lunch a pod of dolphins decided to put on a show for us as we dined on the balcony.
John Wells — Google review
Yes, as mentioned in other reviews this place is pricey, but it has some really good views, which is what most tourist like.
Ordered fish and chips, fish was fresh and crispy. My husband ordered a beer and I ordered a Mai Tai which was decent but pretty small for the price tag. When you go in you have to show your ID at the door and they give you a ticket stating you’re of legal age to drink. Once Inside you can sit anywhere and order at the bar. Overall, I’d consider it a tourist trap since there are plenty other places to eat and drink for half the price, but the views are priceless.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend to stop by for a drink or two.

Absolutely gorgeous view and the food was amazing, except for the tacos which had cold cooked prawns. Otherwise a great experience for any visitor.
Michelle V — Google review
Staff were so disinterested in providing any level of service and exuded attitude especially from staff behind the bar where you were made to feel like you were interrupting their personal time when ordering a drink. I had a friend from overseas with me and it was embarrassing how poor the service and attitude was for such an iconic Australian location. Lucky the view was good as it doesn’t have much else.

Came for the views, and they exceeded expectations! Highly recommend booking a balcony seat to sip on your beer while enjoying the spectacle of people swimming. The steak was fabulous, complemented by stunning views and impeccable service. A definite must-do experience!

An iconic landmark on Sydney’s Bondi beach that houses restaurants, bars and sea water swimming pool. Admission to the pool is $10 per person. The bistro and restaurant serves up classic Australian cuisine

Just epic and worth 10$ for the entrance. There are also really nice pools at beaches nearby but this is a must for a short swim and sunbath. The coffee shop offers good coffee and fine sandwiches and pastries. I had one with tapenade (black olive paste).

Must visit for the great views! Food is just okay but that’s not why you are there! Book a patio table and enjoy a cold beer and some wings!
Westfield Bondi Junction is a large shopping mall in the suburb of Bondi, Sydney. It has a variety of big-name outlets, as well as groceries, a food court, and a cinema. The mall is located in the heart of Sydney CBD and is easily accessible by public transport.
Great place to pass time and wait at Westfield Bondi Junction. Located on the top floor near the fitness first means there’s generally a little less foot traffic than other lounge areas in the Westfield. Also has a toilet right next to it for convenience. Ideal spot for waiting for someone at the gym or the various cosmetic/dental/medical suites located near by. Strategically located near the food court as well

As per me it is one of the best Westfield in this region. Extremely conveniently located : just a few steps from the railway station.
All stores have a very good collection especially Myer. I did a lot of shopping from here.

Massive centre / variety of shops and brands / different foods and lots of cafes available , Westfield member plus option for parking is very convenient and easy .
Daniel Etezadi — Google review
Large Westfield, the layout can be a little confusing especially if it's your first time there as the centre is made out of two sections separated by a road although there are plenty of information screens around to help. It's one of those places that's easier to search what's not there rather than what is. Nicely designed and one of the more luxurious shopping centres around. There are many luxury brands including Gucci and Zimmerman. There's a nice food court with plenty of seats even during busy periods, and the movie theatre is well maintained. Parking can be difficult during peak periods, there is 2 hours free parking and 3 hours if you have the Westfield app. There is an uber pick up area in the parking garage which can be helpful.
Jeremy T — Google review
I come to Westfield at least once a week. Always have a pleasant experience when visiting. Always busy when school holidays are on. Lots of variety in the shops they have available to look round. Great food selection even for vegan and healthier options. 5 floors of fun and enjoyment.

Great variety of shopping options. Parking and lifts to carparks not so much. Found it difficult to navigate back to the right colour carpark. Could use a few more lifts, navigation assistance on interactive screens and customer service kiosks. Otherwise a great shopping experience.
Rob Blackwood — Google review
Pros: lots of shops, from high end fashion right through to phones and groceries
Cons: Confusing / difficult car park, but can't change it now. Most recent visit there had a broken escalator, but instead of letting people walk down it, they had a security guard there blocking it off and then a barrier. I'm not sure why we couldn't just walk down it? Having to wait for lift or divert through David Jones was a pain. I have legs, I can use them to walk down non-moving stairs...

So much on offer from designer brands, cafes, Lego store ,lots of parking. The Disability parking was located in a prime location with easy access. I always rely on wheelchair friendly places, and this is definitely one that caters to everyone. Ramps, lifts with easy access.
All the staff we interacted with were helpful, pleasant, and eager to make our shopping experience amazing.
It is nicely designed and one of the more luxurious shopping centres around. There is plenty of information screens around to help locate what you may need.

This is a huge complex with two towers of shops straddling the road with a multi-story walkway between the two. All the major shops including some luxury brands are here.
There is a food court in each complex and supermarket chains in both. There is an Events Cinema. It is situated near the train and busses as there is a terminal for both. In one side in the food hall there spectacular views over Sydney including the Harbour Bridge

The Bondi to Bronte Coastal Walk is a popular trails that offers stunning ocean views from the cliffs between well-known Sydney beaches. The walk takes about an hour and a half, and is ideal for admirers of nature who want to take in some of Sydneys best beaches.
It’s about 1.5km walk and we took about 25 minutes from Bondi to Bronte (one way) with our kids.
There are few water fountains along the coastal walk and a cafe at Tamarama Beach if you want to have a break. Great thing for kids- there is a playground at Tamarama Beach 😄

The Bronte to Bondi walk is a stunning coastal walk .The walk begins at Bronte Beach and follows the coastline to Bondi Beach, passing through several other beautiful beaches along the way.
One of the best things about the Bronte to Bondi walk is the variety of landscapes and scenery that you'll encounter. The walk takes you along the beach, through parks and reserves, and past cliffs and headlands, providing a diverse range of environments to explore.
The walk is also a great way to experience the vibrant culture and community of Sydney's eastern suburbs. Along the way, you'll encounter numerous cafes, restaurants, and other local businesses, offering plenty of opportunities to stop and rest or grab a bite to eat.
Overall, the Bronte to Bondi walk is a must-do for anyone visiting Sydney. Whether you're a local or a tourist, the walk offers something for everyone, from stunning coastal views to vibrant local culture. It is a great way to spend a day exploring the city and soaking up all that it has to offer.

This is a very cool walk along the coast between the various beaches. The distance I walked (Bondi to Bronte) was short, but had plenty of views of the coast and many wonderful people. There is little or no shade on hot sunny days, so expect no relief other than the wind. This is not a smooth biking type path; there are quite a few stairs be prepared for them.

This was one of the highlights of our time in Sydney and one of the most beautiful walks ever. We started at the south end of Bondi and walked to Coogee, which is just lovely. It's all very well maintained and you pass coves and a lawn bowling club and swimming pools and look outs that are magnificent. You can't bike it, which is nice and keeps the trail calm and comfortable. There are places to eat along the way and it took us the morning, with our frequent stops.

The Bondi to Bronte Coastal walk is one of the nicest and prettiest walks in all of Sydney! Some of the most stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and of Bondi Beach one thing that everyone staying in Bondi (or Bronte) must do! Bronte has some nice breakfast cafés that I got to eat at! I was also fortunate enough to have magnificent weather and was really lucky enough to enjoy the spectacular views of the Coastal Walk!

What a beautiful walk. There are a lot of stairs so beware if you have strollers or have difficultly walking. There were quite a few people but it was a Saturday when we went. Runners beware that you might get frustrated by slow people blocking your running path.
Terri Griffin — Google review
The sculptures on this walk were great. The views over the beach & coast were lovely especially on such a beautiful clear, Spring day.
The path & steps are accessible for able-bodied visitors but handrails being only on one side of the steps created some issues & congestion as people going in both directions needed to hold on for safety. Therefore the idea of 'keep left' was redundant. A rail on both sides would be safer & better to help those going up as well as those going down & as such improve the flow.
The amenities were not particularly clean & were quite smelly. The toilets near the Bondi end were certainly in need of cleaning at 1pm. There were many people on the walk yesterday & it would be good if Council employed extra cleaning Staff to regularly maintain these facilities & improve the standard of hygiene.

The Bondi to Coogee coastal walk is great, but usually completely overcrowded…
It’s better to continue further south to Maroubra or even Malabar: great beaches, beautiful landscape and less people

Ohhh how much I miss the Bondi markets! They're one of my favourite markets in the Eastern suburbs and I can't wait for the lockdown to be finished so that I can go again. They've got a great selection of stalls that offer anything you could wish for - exclusive clothing brands, handmade candles, leather bags, essential oils, flowers, ceramics, jewellery and of course the delicious food in the street food section. It's a very cool vibe and the location - being so close to the beach - is definitely a bonus. On Saturdays they run the farmers market which I also highly recommend if you're after some good organic, locally grown veggies.

Probably something nice to do but not must do. The number of stalls are small and the variety and selection is lacking. Couple of food options like paella, Turkish and coffee are available but better 5 star options are just 50m away.

Gave him my visiting card & told him grow up & visit NEPAL.. free lodging & fooding in my place ..& gave 15$ tip.

If you're in the area on a weekend, this is a nice place to just pop by and have a look, since it's right across from Bondi Beach. It's a cozy little farmers market, that has grown in size quite a bit over the years. Nothing much for myself, but good to strike up some conversations with the stall owners there or grab some quick bites.
Not really a place that I'd bring my kids though. It can get a little too crowded to be managing kids at the same time.

Nice vibe!
It’s not a really big market but the food is fresh and delicious 🤤
Wen-Yun Chang (Coco) — Google review
While the market boasts a diverse array of vendors and merchandise, several factors detracted from the overall experience.
Firstly, the overwhelming crowd made it challenging to navigate and leisurely browse the stalls, and they weren’t dog friendly.
The unsecured dog area at the front, was exposing to the sun & heat, compelling me to wait outside while my family explored the market. I would have paid $15 an hour for a doggy day care at the front if that service existed!
In comparison to Kirribilli markets, Bondi markets fall short in delivering a comparable level of enjoyment and convenience.

I came across this delightful farmers market the day before City2Surf. Loved the dog ‘parking’
areas front and back. Lots of fresh and interesting produce and if I lived in the area I could spend a fortune. I did buy a pre packed vegetable pho for dinner- delicious! But beware the 🌶🥵. The home made Japanese miso looked great. Lots of sour dough bread and interesting fresh juices. Beautiful fresh flowers❣️4.5 ⭐️

This is an amazing gallery devoted to Aboriginal art and committed to strong ethics with respect to the artists, as a member of the Aboriginal Art Association of Australia. We had a wonderful time learning about the art and purchasing a couple pieces with the managing director, Mirri Leven. She was so patient and kind, taking the time to learn our interests and guide us toward pieces of interest. Though there was an exhibit for one current artist, there are numerous other pieces for sale from up-and-coming artists to very well-established, well-known artists. I'm so glad we found this gallery tucked away in Redfern! Highly recommend if interested in Aboriginal art!

Cooee is the real deal when it comes to Indigenous Australian art. Adrian Newstead’s knowledge and passion is exceptional. We visited, we spoke at great length and left empty handed because the Dorothy we wanted was not available. Adrian told us to be patient. Adrian kept in personal contact, and years later he sourced the work we wanted which is now hanging in our living room. Not only does the Dorothy bring us joy, but so do the memories of working with everyone at Cooee.
Love these views! It's a bit tricky to tell where this reserve begins and the next end, but no matter. It's all beautiful.

Awesome view, a great way to relax and breathe some fresh air away from city.
The monument celebrates the fantastic job lifesavers did on Sunday, 6 February 1938. On that day, a heavily crowded Bondi beach was pounded by three large waves in succession. Many were rescued but sadly, five drowned.

Like most Australian beaches, THIS IS A DANGEROUS BEACH. MAKE SURE you know how to swim! IF YOU DO NOT KNOW OR CAN’T SWIM STAY BETWEEN THE BEACH FLAGS. Raise your arm if in trouble. LEARN how Rips operate and remain calm when in one. NEVER swim alone.

I always love coming to Sculpture by the Sea. What an amazing collection of Sculptures strategically placed by the cliffs so that you have an marvellous view of the ocean and Sydney’s beaches and also able to appreciate these wonderful pieces of art. It’s definitely a favourite of mine to come to this.

Always a few interesting sculptures! Pleasant walk during week days as you can peacefully soak the art in! Weekends are crowded and hard to concentrate at the actual art! However I love it, it is an inspirational event!

We've been to a few sculpture events in NSW and the one in Bondi and Tamarama is the best. Not everything is five stars but heaps are. Enjoy a degustation at Icebergs while you're there. T

Great walk but gets quite busy as the path is shared with runners, joggers as well. I would recommend to go early to avoid the heat.
Bus can be caught back to Bondi junction at the end of the walk
Quiet a lovely short walk and family friendly

Mind-blowing sculptures every year. If you are into art and photography I would def recommend doing the walk from Bondi to Tamarama. Go early in the morning or towards the end of the event to avoid the crowds.

Sculptures by the Sea is a great annual outdoor exhibition. This year had several standout works throughout. Unfortunately I found the display on Tamarama Beach weren’t as interesting as past years.

I have been living in Sydney since 2018. First time I went to Sculpture by the sea in 2018. After that I am always looking forward to enjoying the next one. All the pieces of the artwork displaying there was beautiful and meaningful. They added beauty to the most popular and beautiful beach in Australia- Bondi.

We missed the exhibits by a day, however we still were able to see quite a few as they were removing some already.

Beautiful artworks.
It was my first time visiting sculpture by the sea. I thought I saw all the sculptures, but there was quite a bit I missed. I only found out later when I went on the website to find names of the artists.
I'm not sure if anyone else had the same issue, but maybe an interactive map where the sculptures are located may help. Shame I missed some beautiful pieces.
Nonetheless, it was still enjoyable.

A very enjoyable experience in a picturesque setting, so good it deserves a second visit ! ( though not on the weekend due to crowds)

It’s an awww experience taking a stroll to marvel the works of ‘ Sculptures by the Sea’. After a 2 years plus hiatus, returned to the Bondi to Tamarama Beach coastal walk. Don’t missed the largest free to public sculpture exhibition till 07Nov22. Great for the whole family.

I went to See the Exhibition for the first time in 2022, but regrettably for admitting that I wasn't very much impressed, as I am Not a big fan of Modern Arts. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful experience while I embarked on the beautiful Bondi to Bronte Walk, I could view and admire many Artists Creations at the same time! Fortunately, Among several dozens of sculptures, there were some Nice pieces of artworks, enhanced by the fabulous Coastal scenery! I definitely will attend the event in the future. I have chosen a few photos of Artworks that hasn't been seen much online from my "Collections" to post here; Because I like them.

It's very unfortunate but a tiny little bit amusing - the number of people who see this google listing for 'Sculptures By The Sea' and go to Marlborough St in Surry Hills where the organisation's head office is located... looking for coastline and artworks.
Backpacks on, hiking sticks in hand, sun visors ready... all year round, in the suburbs - 6.5kms inland from the beach.
If you're reading this on your way to SBTS and you aren't expecting to have a meeting and you aren't heading in the direction of Bondi Beach I strongly urge you to do a little more Googling. The lost and adrift outdoor art lovers of Surry Hills... we see you.
Safe Travels.
A raised location showcasing prehistoric Indigenous carvings on the stones, along with expansive vistas of the sea. This significant landmark offers a glimpse into ancient Aboriginal culture and their remarkable artistic abilities. The rock engravings depict various animals, people, and cultural practices that provide insight into their way of life. Visitors can witness these fascinating remnants of history while enjoying panoramic views of the ocean from this unique vantage point.
It so beautiful to have been able to walk so closely, but fear that other may disrespect this place in years to come. Disappointed that this is not protected more, somehow fenced or restricted access. Some signage for explanation of the engravings and their origin would be appreciated.

I came for the view which is beautiful. Came on a Monday around 9am and there weren't many people there either golfing or also enjoying the view. The drawings were a cool bonus. Also saw some birds there!

Awesome and definitely worth checking out, view is amazing also — Although the drawings are carved into rock, I think this should be preserved so people aren’t walking all over it (eg. place a small enclosure around it)

wonderful views off the edge of a cliff, not for those with a fear of heights. You do have to cross the golf course. The rock art is where the low level rope is .

A historical antique documents of aborginals. Carving art on the stone was seen at the cliff. Google indicates and not well fenced.

Excellent view of the city. Engravings were hard to see at dusk.

Interesing aboriginal engravings with apparent human shapes. I wish some explanation of these engravings could be provided or what tribe they belong to. Also they are in the middle or just to a golf course?

Would be amazing if this site was more visible when walking past. Should be celebrated annually as nationally significant and be the cause of the removal of the Sydney sewer vent metres away.
Go GURINGAL!

wonderful location.
but, please take care golf ball.
also don't jump through this large crack.

Public domain says this Aboriginal art... it is one rock carved in 1964 with some very faded aquatic life. It was a bit of a let down. But, the surrounding sea side is always nice.
You have to walk through an active golf course to see the rock.

Pretty cool site, except for the fact that you feel like trespassing.
I’d recommend going there since it’s not too hard to access and the view is really pretty anyways. However, it’s quite sad the city/council don’t protect this really old site. We probably won’t be able to see it in a few years

Brilliant ancient carvings of figures depicting human, sharks and fish. Unfortunately not very accessible for its significance. Also no historical information at the site.
