I love the new lights they've put up around the lake. Went down there last night. I love it. The light poles change colours. Very cool to see. Great BBQ areas all around Lake too

I took my child down to do some stand up paddle boarding today ,Easter Saturday. What a mess it is with all the sea weed , we couldn't even get into the water near the canoe club ,boat sheds , It was that thick . We go to this spot often when council run stand up paddle boarding lessons are on , and its always clear and not so bad , why has it been left so bad and dangerous over a long weekend, not happy at all

Victoria Park Lake is a focal point of Shepparton. Nice for a stroll or relax. There’s BBQ's available in the adjoining park. Lots of bird life to enjoy. Pelicans too. Some nice seating and picnic areas by local manufacturer Furphy Foundry. Worth a stop if you’re in the area!

It was wonderful, though really cold this time of year.
Great for couples to just sit and enjoy each other's company.
MOVE is a non-profit museum that exhibits vintage vehicles, such as cars, bikes and trucks, along with driving-related items. Recently upgraded, the museum now showcases a red Gullwing at the front which catches visitors' attention. While the truck exhibit in the rear is comprehensive, some visitors may prefer to see more cars. Additionally, MOVE displays other historical artifacts like telephones, radios and clothing. There's also an interesting collection of Furphy foundry products and history on display.
Absolutely fabulous. Hubby and I went to just get away and have a break together. (Plus we both grew up on dirt bikes and love cars 😊 $18 each just for the transport side as we weren't interested in seeing the other fashion demo on at present. $24 each if we wanted to add that on so not much more. HUGE place with some column gas heaters dotted about. Bring a jacket though. Seating also dotted about so you can just sit and admire the vehicles. Motorbikes, cars, racing cars, trucks, bicycles and more in the transport museum areas plus info boards for each item. Also a sound wall for vintage phones and radios etc by his masters voice, Edison, Astor etc. Sunday open time 10.30 till 4pm. We loved it!! Will definitely be recommending. I have an older son that will be putting this place on his go to list for sure!

Fabulous! Enjoyed this place way more than I thought I would. Cars and trucks through the ages. Wonderful stories about local businesses and how they started out. Fantastic old bikes, including wooden one with no pedals or seats. Ouch! Lots of Furphy info and display. Clothing exhibition was lovely. Staff were friendly and informative. A few hours very well spent!

Loved the walk through. For those who are on a walker, mobity scooter or wheel chair. I can say this is disability friendly. Has a lift to go up to the higher level. The staff are very helpful. I recommend this place. I have a walker, and I had no problem getting around to see everything.

Awesome place and good for kids. Old and new bike, cars & truck. Well maintained place. They have a few activities for kids inside. There’s also a clothes fashion museum inside, which we find a bit uncomfortable when we saw the dolls.

Had visited prior to the facility extension and upgrades it was a pretty good experience. We have recently returned to MOVE the other day, you can notice the difference straight away upon entry to museum with the red Gullwing spinning front and centre. And while the truck exhibit in the rear of museum is comprehensive ultimately I'd prefer to see more cars. Overall a very good upgrade, recommended for a visit.

Also great to see the inclusion of a spot for kids to the rear of the displays.

This place is truly awesome. A massive collection of all kinds of vehicles, some I’ve never seen in person before. Great that you can get up close to many vehicles, and even step inside old buses / truck cabs. Fantastic!!

A well presented display of cars, trucks, motorcycles, bicycles and even telephones, radios and clothing.
It also houses the only collection of Furphy foundry products and history which was quite interesting.
Well worth a visit.

Excellent collection, the trucks and buses were immaculate! You could spend anywhere from 1-3 hours here and $20 entry price is reasonable.
Only negative for me was some of the gift shop items were a bit pricey. Definitely worth a visit!
Mathew Barber — Google review
Frankly, if it were possible I'd give MOVE 10 stars! What an amazing place, with an incredible array of vehicles, information and story telling. The more you look, the more you find.
Unfortunately my wife isn't really into vehicles hence I could only manage enjoying MOVE for about 90 minutes. If I was on my own it would take me at least three hours to see and read all.
The range of 'transport' on display included everything from the earliest bicycles to buses of various ages, an amazing array of trucks, cars ranging in age from two or three years old to over 100 years, race cars, modified cars and the list goes on and on.
That there was a large array of Harley Davidson motorcycles and several other interesting items it is somewhat irrelevant as the wonderful owners advised that the complexion of equipment on show changes dramatically every few months.
MOVE is a must for anyone having an interest in all things with wheels and a lot more.

Took the family here for the first time.
It was an amazing time.
If you are an enthusiest of motor vehicles, trucks, or bikes, this is the place for you.
Admission prices were reasonable for families, and there is plenty to look at.
They also have a kenworth cab that people can sit in and steer down a recorded street.
Plus, there are some great displays of clothing from loel Thompson's collection from Australian history.
A good day out.

It was so interesting to see all the different types of transport over the years.
We were approached by Judith who works there and she was lovely to chat to. She was asking the kids questions about what they liked and explained lots to them. Thank you Judith for your time today 😊
Highly recommend coming here for a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

This is really cool! We love visiting towns that have something unique to display. Aparently there are 90+ colourful cows in and around Shepparton paying homage to the dairy industry here. This park in the middle of town had quite a few and I loved walking around taking photos of all of them. My favourite is the skeleton moo. What fun!

Over the years as a younger kid it’s a good, cheap place to have a bit of fun with the occasional dirty bandied on the pool floor
As for older kids there’s not much to do but go on the Tarzan rope and rapid river and Manet do some laps in the the pool. Anyway the chips there are really good that’s all I have to say

Came here on Labour Day long weekend on a nice 30 degree day and the outdoor pool was not open, very disappointing. Inside was packed. Slide was operating, only for a certain period of time, not constantly and the 'tarzan swing' wasn't being used at all.

My partner and I recently joined aquamoves. When we were signing up and paying all our fees we were told we would have 20/7 access to the gym. We were told we would have to wait and collect our fob for this access the next time we were in. However, when we went to collect the fob we were told we would have to pay $20 extra each to gain 20/7 access to the gym. Absolutely disgraced as this is not what we were told when we signed up. We would not have joined if we knew we wouldn’t have 20/7 access after paying all that money. Women on reception who we were dealing with when asking for the fob for 20/7 access was rude also. He’s not been a good experience so far !

It can be great or it can be annoying depending on time of the day and who's there. But that's par for the course with any public pool. They run a lot of classes and stuff so it's a good idea to find out when they aren't happening otherwise you might go in for a swim and find that the lanes you need to use are packed. Again pretty standard.
I took a point off because the hydro pool is often too cold, and they have no policy against people just hanging out in the hydro pool like it's a public bath, which can make it difficult to actually use it for it's intended purposes. And unless in mistaken it's the only hydro pool in town

Why bother giving an 8-year-old, who is already a proficient swimmer, a 'warning yellow wristband'?
After a terrifying incident at Aquamove swim school, where my daughter was almost drowned under the supervision of a group class instructor, we decided to switch to MLC Melbourne for swimming lessons.
It disappoints me that you shift the responsibility onto parents while your own instructors fall short.

Amazing setting in the Dookie hills. Our groups shared a number of plates and drinks. All were good other than the shared plate. $48 for a handful of nuts, bland dip, average cheese and some cheap crackers was ridiculous. Shouldn't have been more than $28 for what was on it. Highly recommend going as staff, the setting and majority of the food are great but I'd be avoiding the shared plate at all costs...

Asked about the staff about it, the staff said yes, their kitchen will close at 4pm and not making any hot food after 2pm, but only bread! So we drove one and half hour to this winery just to eat their bread?????
What a great experience!!!!!
The attached photo is what we can only order after 2pm, but without telling the customer before they actually come to the winery!

It's lovely sitting on the verandah with a glass of wine and nibbles and looking out over the valley.
They have set up chairs and umbrellas on the lawn for couples all also looking out at the view.
There are tasting platters of wine where you can taste 3 different types for $10, which is a good idea if you can't decide. You can do the normal wine tasting for free.
Numerous dips and the breads are home made and quite good.

The views are spectacular and so is the wine but as my 90 year old mum said these people need the sack. We waited just under an hour for a plate of three cheeses, some crackers and a bit of onion jam. The place was half full. 5 staff and it took this long. Lucky we didn’t order anything cooked. Very disappointing.
The Shepparton Art Museum is a magnificent new attraction for art enthusiasts. It showcases an impressive variety of artwork, ranging from ceramics to paintings, and also hosts events and a shop for artist-made gifts. The museum boasts an exceptional collection of indigenous art that tells compelling stories. Visitors will be captivated by the VCE works on display as well.

Great modern cultural museum, comfy lounges to relax between rooms. The main problem it seems is the early closing time of 4pm and worst the cafe closes at 3. An imposing and impressive building opened last year with a perfect position on Victoria Park Lake as you drive into Shepparton city. Great exhibition of art works from the galleries collection.

We came in searching for Moooving Art - a slight obsession of ours - and found a wonderful place to relax, unwind and enjoy the time of day (along with meeting a few bovine friends, of course).
There are numerous spots to enjoy within the information centre: including Kaiela Arts (supporting local first nation artists), a stunning art gallery spread across several floors, two gift shops and a cafe.
The friendly staff are ready and willing to help with your queries and there are numerous maps and brochures to help your explore the Greater Shepparton region (there's even an up-to-date Moooving Art guide/map if you're also a fan).
There are ample car parks, toilet facilies and it's lake adjacent position makes it the ideal spot to stop for a picnic or just to stretch your legs when road tripping.
The Shepparton Heritage Centre Museum is a delightful establishment showcasing historical artifacts and memorabilia in both indoor and outdoor displays. The people interned in these camps demonstrated remarkable resilience and ingenuity. The astonishing collection of artefacts, crafts and artworks attest to this. Our visit was a revelation. The staff here are fabulously knowledgeable and generous. Don't miss it if you're travelling to Shepparton.

Located in a picturesque setting, this winery boasts an impressive architecture that adds to its allure. Indulge in their authentic homemade pasta, which comes highly recommended. Shepparton Marketplace is a diverse retail hub with various shops and a dining area that undergoes regular changes. While the public toilets are considered to be the best in Shepparton, they require some refurbishment due to heavy usage. However, they are generally maintained well, although they may not have been designed for such high footfall. The presence of a parents' room is essential for families visiting the mall.
Needed some work done on our car as we were touring around. Killed a few hours here, and did some shopping too. Appreciated not having to sit out in the heat.
Stuart UnMcKleaine — Google review
The marketplace itself has different shops and a food court, these seem to change from one month to the next, but at least there's a few different stores. It's both a bonus and a pity that these are the best public toilets in shepp as they really need a bit of a makeover. They are usually very clean at least, probably just not designed for the amount of traffic. OK parents room. Having to drag kids there at least twice every visit, these things become important.

Had the screen on my iPhone replaced today at 918 Repair Station and the technician Alex was so very helpful, professional and efficient. He is a great asset to the business and I recommend this business if it’s quality repairs for your digital devices that you’re needing.

The Cheeky Grog Co is a charming cider bar that offers a delightful dining experience in a rustic garden setting. Their menu features a variety of delicious dishes, including pizza and gluten-free options. The staff are friendly and accommodating, ensuring fast service and creating a relaxing atmosphere for all guests. One can also enjoy their unique selection of frosty cold ciders, including cider slushies, which are highly recommended.
Went for Mother's day and had a great experience of 3 course lunch extravaganza and various ciders thou I believe their normal day cuisine is pizza etc. We sat under the big trees/umbrella but it was a lovely sunny day so all great and Mum was very happy.

Really love Cheeky Grog but it has gone down hill a little bit food is not as good and the grounds are not as well kept, a general tidy up would be nice of the gardens and play areas.
Staff are always lovely

Lower Goulburn National Park, a 9,310-hectare protected area along the lower stretches of the Goulburn River near Echuca, safeguards its beautiful and meandering banks. This linear park is an idyllic retreat for camping and fishing enthusiasts, with an abundance of brown trout, rainbow trout, European carp, and small redfin. The river's steep banks are adorned with lush riverine vegetation that starkly contrasts the surrounding farmland.
Gorgeous river, not a lot of easy access for fishing due to very steep banks.
Caught some cod and saw a koala which absolutely made my day.

Can be a great place, good mtb singletrack and some nice spots to discover. Druggos, chainsaws, and rubbish dumps bring it down some days. This is the Gemmil Swamp side. If more people visit it will improve.

If you're looking for things to do or are simply passing through Shepparton for the night, Riverside Plaza is a fantastic destination. It offers a delightful garden setting with 18 holes of mini golf, making it an ideal spot for weddings and parties. Additionally, there's a Chocolate apple shop that shouldn't be missed. The complex also features a newly renovated museum, a café, an antique store, and a garden pots store.
Plenty of stores inside.
Small food court but you can definitely find something yummy to eat, and the tables and floors were clean.
The burger/kransky place we had lunch from was super yummy 😋

As a mum of two we often go to riverside as the kids love the soft play area and I can enjoy my coffee in peace. I find riverside is my go to because it has the supermarket, chemist and coffee shops but I was a bit annoyed when I went to the ‘baby change room’ to change my sons nappy and there was no change table in there….

With a strong presence at the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair and collaborations with other artists, their work can also be explored at Spacecraft in Fitzroy, Melbourne, and NGV Design Gallery Shop in Federation Square. In addition to an awe-inspiring rooftop experience at SAM with breathtaking sunset views, the gallery itself is truly impressive.

The Dookie Rail Trail is a delightful stroll that offers an enjoyable experience for visitors. This picturesque tourist spot provides a pleasant opportunity to explore the scenic beauty of nature. The trail presents the chance for leisurely walking, allowing individuals to take in the charm of their surroundings at a leisurely pace. With its captivating ambiance and breathtaking vistas, this attraction offers a truly unforgettable journey amidst stunning landscapes and lush greenery.
Short but sweet is how I describe Dookie Rail Trail. The trail is only 8.2 km long and is ideal if you are riding with young children who can only ride short distances or for those who what to incorporate it into a longer ride around the local countryside. We parked in the town of Dookie and rode the northern section first which is about a 10km return trip. The trail goes out through farmland which at the time were growing canola plants. It was beautiful to see all the canola fields in flower with the contrast of mountains and blue skies in the background.
After we rode the northern section, we then rode the western section which is about a 6.5km return trip. This section is newer, and the trail is flat and in great condition.
If you start and finish your ride in Dookie, you will find that the town has a pub, a general store, and an emporium with a café to explore. There is also a park with kids play equipment and toilets. Nearby is Mount Major if you feel like a hike or mountain bike ride.
It would be great if the government and local councils could find the money to extend the northern section out to Katamatite and the western section into Shepparton.
