Barrenjoey Lighthouse is a popular tourist attraction located in the northern beaches of Sydney. The walk up to the lighthouse offers stunning ocean views that span from Broken Bay to Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and the Central Coast. The landmark was built in 1881, and during its heyday was used as a filming location for the Australian soap opera Home & Away.
Wonderful walk on a sunny day, two trails are available to the top. From the car park you access these trails via. a walk along the beach. Toilets and water are available at the top even though signs say the contrary. Must be recently installed. Be wary car parking is between $8-10 per hour.

The steps are many 550 steps -up, up and away. But the trail is short on the step side so the legs and lungs burn but it is over soon. That aside, it is a must do!
The steps / trail, is wide and well marked - you can go up the steps and down the sloped side on the way back to create a full circuit. The views are breathtaking (could be all the steps 🤣) so many perfect photo opportunities and they all do not disappoint.
We spent about an hour at the top, found a nice rock spot in the sun and just took in the majesty of the sea and the height of the vistas.

Stunning views for a relatively easy hike! Didn’t go in the lighthouse just walked around. If you have good mobility/stability I recommend going up one path and down the other to soak up all the views.

This place is amazing. We went in the morning. The view is amazing and the air is so fresh you'll feel it. There are stairs to go up and also there is a route to go up for maybe ambulant people and aged who can't climb stairs. This place is perfect for a vacation with friends or family. They have drinking water and also restrooms all the way up near the lighthouse. Overall a great visit.

Just beautiful. There are two ways to head up to the lighthouse. Both are steep. The one I travelled on was the Access Trail. Short distance, but you can definitely stop to catch your breath and take in the views from different angles. Bring a bottle of water on hot days. There are also toilets at the top. The views are amazing and are worth the trek up. The walk back down is quick and faster, but still a steep decline down, so take your time.

A must to visit in Sydney, NSW. Built in 1881, this heritage lighthouse is an iconic Sydney attraction offering stunning views of palm beach and ocean. A great option to explore nature and enjoy time with family or friends. Pay park is available (starting 8$ for 1 h and costing 1$ per each extra hour). 25 min from car park. Take smugglers track to reach to the lighthouse. Its shorter and offers amazing views to take incredible photos. Highly recommended!!!

Visited light house palm beach this weekend and loved the beach cool breeze and a grade 2 hike. There are two hikes, you can choose either one depending on your stamina and energy. We choose grade one which is mostly stair cases and it’s a 15 min hike 1 way to light house, it was an amazing experience.
A must visit for bike lovers like me.

Took a walk today to the Barrenjoey Lighthouse. Suggest to park your car at “Station Beach” and walk along the beach. The walk is around 10 minutes from carpark to the signboard before a 35 minutes return to the lighthouse. It was quite steep but doable for most ages. Overall, a good walk! Highly recommended!

Lovely place for a sort day trip. Make sure the day is nice and sunny to enjoy the view fully. You can enjoy a guided tour up the Lighthouse for $10 per person, and you get to go up the main tower.

What a view from the top! Gorgeous lighthouse and buildings. On Sundays you can do guided tours of the lighthouse and surrounding buildings. There are two ways to walk up. Stairs which takes about 10 minutes which is graded as a 3. I took them up and went down the slope which took 15 minutes and graded a 2. Both ways were very good and wonderful views.

Wonderful circular walk up to the lighthouse and back to the car park. The walk up the steep path gets your blood pumping but then rewarded with lovely views from the top and, if you're lucky, maybe spot a breaching whale. You can take the more gentle path up too if you prefer.

The Barrenjoey Lighthouse, located in New South Wales, Australia, has a rich history dating back to 1881 when it was built to guide ships into Broken Bay. It sits atop Barrenjoey Head, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding coastline. Originally operated by lighthouse keepers, it was automated in 1972. Today, it stands as a historic landmark and popular tourist attraction, accessible via a scenic walk from Palm Beach.
Very nice view amazing day well spent with a little bit hiking to top. Amazing sunset view.

2nd time visiting this place. Great views. Rated as Grade 2-3 with a return hike time of 35 minutes. Parking is about 300m from the starting point. The fee was $10/hr or $40/day for the public holiday. Check Park n Pay app. There are two ways to get to the lighthouse. One is via the stairs which is steeper but quicker and the other is a gradual slope. I personally prefer the slope as it’s wider and you don’t have to wait for people to go from the other direction. Both have their pros and cons. By the way there are portable toilets at the lighthouse. Or if you’d rather use the restrooms at the carpark before you start the journey.

My pet parrot and I really enjoyed the hike up to the Barrenjoey Lighthouse. The views from the lighthouse are stunning and gorgeous: looking back on two bays (Station Beach and Palm Beach) with bush land in between. Even though both of us were drenched with rainstorm, we were extremely satisfied with the views and the lovely people we met on the hike.
Parking is quite pricey if you park by the Station Beach and the Boathouse ($10 per hour). We park on the side street off the Barrenjoey road (free 2 hour parking), and enjoyed the walk passing through the shops on the way to the Station Beach.

You have two choices of route to get up and down. One is steeper and faster(stairs) and another is longer and more mellow/ no stairs . They have a sign to tell u which is easy to navigate. There’s spots and views along to way to stop and check out and it’s such a peaceful nice view esp sunset time. It gets quite cold up there during the late arvo . Recommend to bring some snacks when u reach the top

Absolutely Stunning!!!
Brilliant place to visit with family… it has 2 routes (400m grade3 and 800 grade) which is not a lot considering the view from top
There is not a lot once you reach to top but enjoy the scenery and click some pics
Ample parking around Palm beach and can later enjoy quite picnic..
Don’t forget to stuff yourself with ice creams before you start your hike!!!

The walkway to the top has magical views of the curved beach. It’s a little steep in some areas and the car parks are paid car parks. The lighthouse is nice to see too.

It was a spontanous decision to visit this place today from Manly!
Because there is a public bus Manly - Palm Beach *number 199.
More crazy act to hike the hill to see this Lighthouse because I just recovered from knees and ankles injury.
There are 2 different ways up.
I recommended smugglers track. Trust me!
The view from this lighthouse is spectacular.
Anyway, there is a tour available around of this lighthouse of you interested.

Very nice walk up to the lighthouse! Best thing is that it's fairly close to the city and you can still take the public transportation to Palm Beach.

Parked outside the paid parking area by the boat shed and walked long the beach to the lighthouse ramp.
Walk up is steep, so I actually recommend taking the stairs. We found it tiring, it was about 6 minutes of non stop stairs. (I think the ramp would have been just as tiring)
Recommend going up near sunset. There are trails near the lighthouse that lead to better views of the peninsula.

Beautiful scenic views. 2 trails going to the top where the lighthouse is. We went up the steep 10min trail and came down the longer less steep trail. Best time to hike in the morning to catch the sun rising.

Best photo spot is near the top of the scenic track just off the side facing the beach.
Fairly easy walk but a little exposed so take some sunscreen.
Looks like whales come into the harbour between May & August.

Best place in Sydney , so calm and beautiful views. I usually go all the way down to the very end among the bushes from up near the lighthouse, too many insects, bushes and rocks. But this spot is exceptional, not everyone is that fit to reach this point.

Worth the visit!
Nice trail to walk up.
Two options, road or steps.
I suggest to walk up the road and walk down the steps, much easier.
Also, one up there, go dipper in the wild trail until the end of the cliff, amazing view of the left beach from there. But be careful is dangerous!

Nice awesome views, a great steep hike up a flight of stairs, good cardio, beautiful spots to stop & click photos. Avoiding the stairs you can walk down a steep pathway. One must wonder how people made a beautiful lighthouse 144 years ago.

Scenic walk/hike up and down the lighthouse with a dip in the water at the beach conveniently located on the bottom of the hill to cool off.
Recommend to go up through the easy route and come down through the steps to soak in views on both.

Avalon Beach is a suburb located along the northern coastline of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. This locality is situated approximately 37 kilometers away from the central business district of Sydney and falls under the jurisdiction of Northern Beaches Council in the Northern Beaches region. The area boasts scenic beachside views and is known for its serene surroundings.
Mona Vale Beach, situated in the northern beaches of Sydney, is a stunning location for watching the sunrise. Although it requires some effort to get there from the city centre, it's well worth it. The beach is beautiful and larger than expected, about 3-4 times bigger than Bondi. There's a rockpool right in the center of the beach that serves as a great focal point during sunrise and makes for beautiful drone footage.
It was one of the best beaches I’ve ever visited.
It was so clean and there were lifeguards.

Mona Vale Beach, beautiful, family friendly and crowded. Though, if you are looking for a calmer beach stay and ocean swim, try Basin Beach which is about 150m north of Mona Vale Rock Pool. Basin Beach has easier access to the ocean, (Bongin Bongin Bay). The wave action is generally manageable and child friendly. Also great access for kayaking and stand up paddle boarding straight off the beach and into the water. Gloriously cold water which is such a fantastic body refresher on a traditional boiling hot Sydney summer day. Parking here is expensive. One hour cost ten dollars on weekends. Still its worth the parking fee because there is a very calm atmosphere once you exit the busy parking area. One would not believe that Sydney’s busiest traffic mad beach road, Barrenjoey Road. Currently there is a new covered area, change rooms and toilets under construction which looks great. Lovely beach and well used by locals and visitors alike. Bring your own shade and look no after your skin. Also bring your own water and food. You can sit under the shade at the very few picnic booths and have a beer, read a newspaper soak up the ocean breeze coming off Bongin Bongin Bay. It’s a blister in the sun!

The Basin campground, situated in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, is a highly sought-after beach camping destination near Sydney. Just a short 50-minute drive from the city, it boasts stunning natural scenery and picturesque views of Pittwater. The area offers diverse activities for all ages, including access to a sheltered beach and an island lagoon. The calm and protected waters of the lagoon-shaped bay make it perfect for swimming, fishing, and paddle boarding.
Such a perfect get away for the weekend. Very quiet in the middle of the nature and surrounded by wallabies, you will spend a very relaxing weekend. The sunrise is awesome.
Facilities are clean. There are bbq, hot shower and toilets.
We recommend taking the ferry from Palm beach.
The rangers are patrolling all the day and night.

This beautiful location is accessible via ferry that leaves from Palm Beach Wharf, the ferry times are on average every hour with a missing timeslot around 1pm. It's about $10 adult to get the ferry across to The Basin. No dogs are allowed. Once there you will see a beautiful grassed area, on the right is camping area and on the left of you walk over is the beautiful Basin swimming area. It's a lovely peaceful little area that has a shark net up on one side of the inlet. You can see lots of wildlife such as wallabies, goanna, kookaburras, fish, birds, etc and it's an amazing picturesque location for tourists to see some very beautiful hidden locations in Australia and experience some fauna in the wild. As well of course enjoy a beautiful picnic or bbq and swim. There are toilets and bbq facilities there but not much else and you need to bring everything with you there. There is another walkway through bush to get there but easiest by ferry. If needed there is also a water taxi to the Basin but it's a lot more expensive. Perfect day out though with friends, family, overseas visitors etc... whilst swimming we saw jellyfish 🪼, sting rays, fish, wallabies and their joeys, kookaburras and a goanna as well as seagulls and other birds. There was only 1 wallaby there on arrival, with a joey in her pouch, which is unusual as usually there are so many. There's a ferry that leaves opposite Barrenjoey House, at the Palm Beach Wharf which takes you to The Basin. We missed the ferry and arrived at 12.30pm and there's not another one till after 2pm so we took the water taxi over and joined some tourists who also missed the ferry. Just as well because the last ferry from The Basin was just after 3pm then another big gap in the next one, so we caught the ferry back. The Wharf is opposite Barrenjoey House in Palm Beach.

Really nice little camp site that you need a ferry to get across to. There is a road round from the top but I am not sure if the public is allowed to access it. Wallabies and kookaburras hang about and easy access to some great trails. The rock carvings trail is a good one.
Rayson Wiggill — Google review
Beautiful camping that has a very nice family and community atmosphere. People seem quite respectful and self aware.
Even at full capacity it doesn’t feel overcrowded.
The only downside is the amenities could be cleaned a bit better / more frequently but that is typically expected on camping grounds.

The Basin campground is the only place you can camp in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. This large, grassy area overlooks Pittwater, offering lovely surroundings and views.
It’s easy to see why this waterfront campground is so popular. At The Basin, you’ll find great facilities along with a picnic area, sheltered beach and an inland lagoon. The campground accommodates up to 350 campers.
Pitch your tent in a shady spot, enjoy a bike ride or a swim and see if you can spot the local swamp wallabies or kookaburras.
There’s no car access to The Basin campground. You can park at West Head Road but it's a steep 2.8km walk to the campground from there. If you're not up for the hike, arrive by water taxi, boat or a ferry which leaves from Palm Beach Wharf.

Love the basin. Camping is fun and there is heaps to explore ❤️ only downside you have to book fireplaces and they usually get booked out before the first ferry arrives. Very disappointing if you are only there for one night.

How do I get there?
Catch the B1 line bus from (Carrington St) Wynyard Station and change the bus 199 from Warringha Mall or Mona Vale.
Get off from the bus at Palm Beach wharfs, barrenjoey rd.
Catch the ferries to the basin campsite (30 mins ride)
Facilities
*vending machine (snacks and drinks)
*hot shower
*kitchen space without gas and microwave
*coffice machine

Basin campground is at a great location, just on the water and you’re able to swim at the beach or lake. Nice flat grass easy to pitch a tent in. Perfect vibey spot with plenty of other campers near bye. You can set up your tent where ever you please within the barriers. Cold showers and toilets included, also more taps around the camp site. Also BBQs to use and there is phone reception.
Free to use BBQs, $1 coin for 3 mins of hot water in showers.
Entrance via national park by car is ok, but be mindful of a very steep 30 min walk so not recommended to bring too much gear if walking.
Great cute little spot, highly recommend, feels like you’ve traveled ages away. Short ferry to Palm Beach to grab a coffee and do the lighthouse walk.

$3 per person for just a day visit.
Camping booking required.

They also sell ice and fishing bait for 15min in the morning, and for 15min in the afternoon.
Coffee vending machine available.

The best campground for beginner/family with kids. Nice flat grass with lots of shade for kids to run, calm and clean water lake for swimming and kayaking, rangers are helpful and friendly, quiet time at 10pm which is actually very quiet (love love it). And LOTS OF WALLABIES 😍
The campground has most basic amenities: toilet with paper, hot shower, electric bbq stove, drinking water tap everywhere, venting machine, first aid service ect… there’s also ice sale in the morning and afternoon.
There’re (maybe) 4 shower rooms but only one with hot water and it costs $1/3mins, and the machine accepts $1 COIN ONLY. Toilet not very clean but acceptable. Oh and there’re power points in bathroom for hair dryer.
We parked our cars at Palm Beach then use water taxi to go to The Basin. You can not drive there so be considered abt what you’re bringing, a beach wagon and backpacks are best options. Ferry is $10pp and $15/wagon, so if you travel in large group water taxi is actually cheaper and more convenient.

The basin is the five star hotel of the all camping spots which is not super expensive.
You have to get there with the ferry. So you have to be clever with what you are taking with you since it might be a bit pain sometimes to carry heaps stuff.
Ferry is about $10 one way and the camping is $35.
There are toilets, showers, dishwashing area, electricty in the toilets, vending machine for soft drinks, ice cream and snacks. There is even a powerbang renting machine. Incredible!
You can buy ice at specific times of the day.
The toilets are not the best as a cleaning-wise but pretty good but hey you’re camping; it cannot be 100%, right?!
Drinking water is available and bbq under the cover and some benches under the cover. It can be quite tricky when it rains.
You can swim, hike or just chill there. Heaps of animal around that they go through your stuff and so excited to share your food which you need to be careful about.
I just love it here!

Came here to camp early January. Even with school holidays on there was decent space, we did need to move over to the lagoon/day trip area after 10pm to ensure we didn't disturb any of the other campers but it was far enough from the main campsite that we were able to talk comfortably. We also brought our own gas stove but it was unnecessary as there were plenty stoves available. would recommend and come again

The Sydney Bahai House of Worship, also known as Sydney Bahai Temple, is situated in Ingleside, one of the northern suburbs of the city. It is regarded as one of the most significant religious structures in Sydney and deserves a visit. This remarkable place offers an uplifting experience with its magnificent architecture and serene atmosphere. The local community in Blacktown often sings during services, creating pure and harmonious sounds that are truly captivating.
I visited the temple today. This place is truly lovely, boasting well-maintained gardens filled with vibrant trees and flowers. The sound of cicadas chirping creates a unique ambiance where it feels as if the air itself is vibrating. This contributes to a deeply tranquil aura, making the visit exceptionally serene. The volunteer guides at the temple were outstanding - they were not only friendly and welcoming but also impressively knowledgeable about the temple's history and significance. The architectural beauty of the temple, coupled with the natural beauty of its surroundings, made for an enjoyable visit.

Every time I come to the Baha'i Temple, I have the most uplifting experience.
The Blacktown Community were singing during service, it was the most purest sounds/voices you could hear.
The feeling I get here is unbelievable, I can not put into words how amazing it is.
I can only say, please visit and experience it for yourself.
Absolutely beautiful.

Took a group here for a picnic. Good access, nice tables and facilities in shade. Welcoming staff. Temple is beautiful and so are gardens. Have been meaning to visit for a long time, glad I did.

A beautiful place, very nice people who are happy to explain and answer questions. On Sunday morning there is a service to all religions

It was a beautiful, very sereene place. There are, apparently, only 7 temples like this in the world. An interesting and spiritual place to visit.

A lovely, peaceful place to centre yourself. The gardens are meticulously cultured and the temple sublime. I always think of finding my way there when things get too much for me.

Beautiful place of worship, just have a plan or how to get there as it is a bit far away.

The colours, gardens, and grounds were lovely late at night. The signage was very helpful.

Saw the temple dome above the trees and stopped to check in and find out a little more. Lovely grounds and a beautiful serene building with 9 sides and a simple yet lovely interior where one can pray, meditate and reflect, no matter your belief or religious stance. There is a public service each Sunday at 11am. Our visit was quick and we were welcomed with grace and courtesy, and not compelled to listen to dogma or details about the founding of the temple. We sat quietly inside, walked around respectfully outside and left. If you have questions however, there are one or two people happy to help.

Fantastic place, a place to go and say prayers for whatever reason and from whatever religion belief or lack of. Open to all and welcoming to all from all religions or without.

Lovely grounds picnic area but I must say the Temple is absolutely gorgeous.
Construction of the temple started in April 1957 using construction techniques never before used in Australia.
Architect John Brogan ( Sydney) with builders "Welch Brothers" were responsible for the unique building.
In the dome inside the temple is a plate with the inscription" O Glory of the All Glorious". Construction was completed in 1961.
The temple stands about 40 metres high with 9 side's and 9 entrances and it sits on approximately 9 hectares of bushland.
The Baha'i temple is a haven of spiritual serenity and it is one of eight Baha'i temples around the world.
Bangalley Head is a hidden gem located on the Northern Beaches coastline of Sydney. It offers magnificent and secret lookouts with breathtaking views of towering seaside cliffs, headlands, and beaches in both northern and southern directions. The climb to this point is steep but well worth it for photographers and nature enthusiasts. However, it's important to be prepared with hiking shoes as the trail can be difficult and potentially dangerous when wet.
Even if the entrance is hidden (whale beach rd), it's worth a visit because the view is stunning

Incredible views of the ocean, the climb up to this point was quite steep but well worth it. Please come prepared with hiking shoes, don’t attempt this after a rain as it is quite difficult and potentially dangerous if wet.
The views by the cliff are beautiful - no need to venture to close out as it is prone to breaking.

Aquatic Achievers Warriewood Swim School is highly praised for its ability to alleviate separation anxiety in children. By employing various distraction techniques, such as captivating stories of mermaids and magic or engaging water toys, the teachers effectively help children overcome their fear and enjoy their swimming lessons. This swim school also demonstrates great understanding and support towards children with sight issues, accommodating their needs with the assistance of dedicated teachers like Alison.
My daughter suffers separation anxiety and has refused to get in to the pool for lessons for six months and then we tried aquatic achievers. Every teacher she has had has taken the time to distract her with stories of mermaids and magic or water toys and within minutes she has completely forgotten being scared and is enjoying her lesson. One very happy mum

Instructors are good, but the sessions are extremely short. With 4 kids per one instructor the actual swimming / learning time for my 5 y.o.daughter was no longer than 3 to 4 minutes (counted). The rest was waiting, talking, giggles, splashing but very little learning. Obviously the kids will quickly forget whatever they learnt in these 3 minutes. So, after 5 months or 20 sessions very little progress if any. This is also 20 sessions of your return trips, waiting, showering your kid, changing etc - not worth! Get private lessons elsewhere, these guys don't have them. Gone elsewhere, so far much better.

Great swim school, my daughter attended for a year from about 1 years old. She has sight issues which they always understood and helped with. Her favourite teacher was Alison who was amazing 👌
Also you can make up lessons if you miss any which is great especially as kids can get sick so often. Unfortunately we have moved so can't attend anymore.

This has been the best swimming experience my 6 y.o. grandson ever had. He has attended in the past to different classes, at different places; however, none of them enabled him to develop the necessary confidence to be in the water.
This time, thankfully we found Brooke Withers and luckily he had the wonderful Mauricio as his instructor throughout 2 weeks in January(the first within a small group intensive, and the second with daily 1 to 1 classes). Mauricio, with his excellent professionalism and lovely attitude, characterised by a special
combination of warmth & humour, could offer my grandson the necessary safe container to enable him trust the water and trust his own self in it.
All our family is elated with his progress in such a short period of time, and are giving Mauricio de top mark as an instructor.

Vann is amazing and took my VERY timid little girl who was super scared to put her head under water to being confident in the water in a very short space of time. Also, very helpful team there. Warm pool. Friendly families.

First instructor was good, second not was not. At $20 per half hour starting 5 minutes late matters. Instructor spoke to the other instructor instead of my kid and seemed uninterested. Pool is warm and small which is good, but waste of money with learning to swim.

Excellent! My 3 year old has progressed significantly in just 6 months since joining Brooke Withers Swim School. Great facilities, teachers are so caring great at what they do, even when my 3 year old has thrown tantrums in the water! Would highly recommend.
Lauren Wilson — Google review
Please ensure your child has some previous experience, as the instructors do like to have a chat with each when in the pool instead of looking after your child. Also, please ensure your child is not different as they have one program that fits all. Flexiability in teaching is not a considderation
Highly recommended.
Ferry from Central Coast to palm beach, zero traffic and at least 30 minutes faster each way. Ride takes about 30 minutes. Relax and take in the views. If only a frequent user fares are paid for on the ferry, staff will come around when seated. Staff were friendly and polite. The water can become a little choppy but the ferry's ride is pretty good through it. We saw thousands of jelly fish from the rooftop but only under clear skies also roof top has no shade so sun protection is advised and trends to get a bit breezy so hats need to be secure.

Regularly late, non-existent customer service, broken down ferries and without notice or just slow. For $26.50 a 20m ride I expect better. I appreciate for holiday makers this is a fun adventure but for commuters this is practically extortion with no public or private competition Fantasy runs a monopoly.
As always disappointed in the government and councils for lack of infrastructure

Good experience with kids; this ferry can be used to get you to the Basin campground (easier to access via ferry than road due to steep long walk from car park to campground);
The staff is very helpful and provide direction and information for us the first timer for this ferry service;
The ferry is 2 levels; has clean toilets; sit at the frying or top deck for great view

I HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT YOU VIA PHONE AND EMAIL AND NO ONE IS RESPONDING. YOU OVER CHARGED MY CHILD, THE GUY WAS SUPPOSE TO REFUND MY 14 YO DAUGHTER FOR CHARGING HER 4 PEOPLE RETURN AFTER THE BLOAT DEPARTED, HE DIDN'T COME BACK TO HER AS PROMISED. PLEASE REFUND THE DIFFERENCE, I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO KEEP LEAVING MESSAGES AND EMAILS

Great trip over to visit my sister. So convenient but the ticket way too expensive now. I paid 30 something dollars for a 20 minute trip. Pretty sure it was only around $18 last time I took the ferry. Looks like I will only be visiting my sis here and there. Cheaper to drive

Terrible experience with staff, reservations, captain. The lowest of customer service.
I had pre planned with the company to use their service to transfer my newly purchased road bike from Sydney to the Central Coast. Everything was agreed to, arranged and confirmed. I drove the bike up over 3 hours from Sydney's Inner West to Palm Beach.
Upon arriving at the Ferry wharf the captain/skipper (Ben) was rude, unhelpful, arrogant and had zero sense of the term customer service.
After 10 minutes of discussion I was advised I couldnt use the ferry service as the tide was too low to offboard my roadbike on the other side. Which is fine, no one can control the tide.
However what blew me away was that none of this had been advised during the correspondence with head office and reservations the week before. I was rudely told I had to wait at Palm Beach for 4 hours to be able to board the last ferry of the day. Further to that, there was zero accountability from the company about this, and the lack of customer service from the onboard staff was appalling. No sympathy, no apology for the confusion, no offer of resolution....nothing.
When I was finally able to board, I was offered no assistance in securing the bike onboard, even though I was told the staff would be updated to have straps so it could be safely secured as it was transported. Im sure a safety hazzard for not only myself, the bike, but also other passengers on board.
As someone who has worked in the travel and tourism industry for most of my adult life, I have never encountered arrogance and customer service like this.
Will not use again.

On-time, efficient and fast. The ferry ride is actually quite short but has good views. Definitely better than driving, just take this ferry.

Huge thank you to the captain who came back for me when my bus was late and I came running down the jetty at one minute past six (last ferry of the day) 😯 what an absolute legend!!!

Such a nice trip from Palm Beach to Ettalong. Comfortable and plenty of room for my bike too. Can recommend the trip AND the boat/service.

Travelling from northern beaches to Ettalong, this is 100x better than trains and buses. It is a bit pricey hence one less star. It shaves around an hour off a trip and much nicer than train.

Lovely trip from Palm Beach to Ettalong and back. I recommend this as an activity if you’re visiting the area and looking for something to do. I was lucky enough to capture these rainbows after a thunderstorm while waiting for the return ferry in the afternoon. Thanks Fanatasea
