One of the most beautiful parks I've ever visited. Includes a splash swim park and a swimming creek. Perfect for families on a hot summer's day.

This is the ultimate destination for family fun in Bright. Splash play, diving board into the Ovens River and a waterside into the river will bring joy in the warmer months. Plenty of spots for floating down the river aboard your favorite inflatable device. BBQs and picnic areas aplenty. A real gem 💎

Have loved it here since I was a kid, and took my kids there when they were young. It's SO pretty & relaxing. A special place 😀👌

Great place to stop for a break or you can even spend the day here with the big playground for the kids. There's picnic benches and BBQ's around the park. Its only a 5min walk to the town centre or you may want to go for one of the many walks that there is along the river. You may want to go for a swim in the river in summer when it's opened up as well.

Good park with plenty of options to enjoy.
Splash parks(a little slippery), adventure park for kids. Plenty of space to sit and relax beside the ovens river.
Atone would love to spend some time in the flowing river on a hot sunny day.
Easy accessibility to visitor Information center, restaurants, toilets and walking trails. Plenty of parking around the park.
Good place to spend sometime while in Bright along with friends and family.

Is in the centre of the town and by the river. Few picnic places and play areas for kids available. There’s one long water slide to the river and this functional during summer.
Bright Holiday Accommodation is a convenient base for those visiting Mount Hotham ski resorts. Tyntynder cottages offer tranquil surroundings and cozy accommodations, with a lovely walk to the river. While lacking firelighters, the experience was rewarding. The accommodation on 20 Ireland St in Bright provides great service, helpful information, and a perfect location within walking distance of town amenities.
Spent a wonderful weekend in Bright stayed at Tyntynder Garden Cottage 2, a very relaxing & beautifully presented cottage. Has a lovely decking that looks out onto a gorgeous garden & is also very pet friendly. Would highly recommend this beautiful cottage.

We came back to stay at Tyntynder cottages since our experience last year was very rewarding. We enjoyed the tranquil surrounds, the lovely walk to the river and the cosy cottage. We were a bit disappointed that there weren’t any firelighters for the fire place but otherwise we had what we needed.

Terrible administration of properties, don't trust them!
Nestled in the Alpine Valleys wine region, Bright Brewery is a craft brewery, bar, restaurant, and bike hub that prides itself on being an independent establishment. Situated by the Ovens River, it utilizes fresh mountain water and sustainable practices to create bold beers that capture the essence of the local environment. The town of Bright offers a laid-back atmosphere with tree-lined streets and various activities such as hiking, paragliding, cozy cafes, and riverside picnics.
This place had such a great atmosphere. Right by the water park with live music playing! As a large group, we ordered the Hero Platter to share and it was amazing. My partner and I got a pizza to share and while I liked the flavour I wasn't a fan of the dough (but that's just personal preference, the pizza was still tasty).
The food took a while to come, but it did say on the ordering app there was a minimum 30 minute wait. So be prepared for that if you come on a busy day.
Overall, I really liked this place and recommend you try it if you're in the area.

Nice location, plenty of seating. Was very hot when we visited, and there were fans inside but none outside. They had the mist going but they turned it off at about 6pm even though it was still very hot.
Despite that the food was all very good. There were a few vegan options, including the burrito bowl (which was huge) and a burger.
Ordering was convenient as you can either order at the bar or they have a QR code menu & payment option.

Top notch service we had from our entire stay in Bright. Mathew, the supervisor, stepped it up even higher when he offered us a drink while we were waiting for our food to come out. It's not about the free drink it's the level of service you give to your customers.
They were the busiest in the whole town and still managed to deliver the best service, drinks and food. Hands down.
Great team work, guys. I was watching the speed they were all working to give great experience to their customers and it definitely doesn't go unnoticed. So thank you all at Bright Brewery.

Staff was very friendly and place is spacious with lots of fresh air.
We ordered pizza and buffalo wings. Wings were good but pizza was a little dry.
3 stars for food + 1 for good service

Has always love this brewery, an iconic venue in Bright. Came to Bright again during the school holiday and they were very busy so most of the walk-in customers were arranged to seat outdoor. There were ample choices of outdoor seating but would recommend they update their outdoor heating/ insulation. The ski season/ school holiday is going to be very busy for this town and business. It will be a good investment if they can make outdoor more enjoyable.
We had some beer, cider and meals on this Monday night by ordering via QR code. My partner ordered the beef burger and he enjoyed it very much however my meal was disappointment- I had the chicken breast with sweet potato mash. The chicken was dry and sweet potato mash was plain and too much on the plate. Both of these components were not matching. I really enjoyed the beers though. The Buffalo chicken wings were very nice too. Recommend this venue

The staff were friendly and welcoming.
Food came out quickly. The HOT chips were yummy. The baled cauliflower had no heat. Would have been so much better if the cauliflower were HOT as chips also.
The pizza was good, and the Chrismont wine from Kings Valley was good. Overall a nice experience at the Bight Brewery.

Beer enthusiasts watch out!!!
An amazing wide range of Beer selection, like a kid in a candy store I was!! 😁
One of my favourite destination for a good relaxing vacation and Bright Brewery just makes it even more appealing!
Spacious indoor and outdoor seatings, especially for large group bookings!
Situated opposite a large playground for the kids and in perfect view of the little ones while the adults sip on wine or guzzle down a local favourite Bright Lager!
Food selection is wide and delicious!
So many to try! From pizza and pasta to a light salad and more!

Great atmosphere and nice outdoor area for dining. The food was good although the loaded nachos were a little unexpected (not the typical tomato based salsa/corn or beans and the chips were quite different). My partners double bacon cheeseburger was good, although the beef patty was slightly under cooked. The pale ale beer and light beer were fantastic with a slight fruity flavour. Overall, it was a good experience.

My Good Friday holiday in Bright was unexpectedly delightful, as many shops and restaurants were open, including Bright Brewery, where we decided to have lunch. Under a charming grapevine canopy, with the hints of autumn evident in the changing colours of the surrounding tree leaves. Sampling their selection, I tasted six different beers, each offering its unique flavor profile, yet it was the fifth one that truly captivated my palate. The homemade mushroom pizza was a culinary delight, boasting generous portions and delectable flavors. The entire experience was a perfect representation of a sunny afternoon well spent, exceeding our expectations and leaving us thoroughly satisfied.

Awesome craft beer in the heart of bright. Excellent location right next to the river and Howitt Park. Wide variety of craft beer styles and all very good. We are the hero board meat platter, a good size for 3 people. Sweet merchandise and lots of things for mountain biking. Great spot, make sure to book in advance

Ordered the charred carrots dish, which turned out to be a heavenly burst of taste I had never experienced before. The combination of sweet, cold charred carrots with the tangy green chili rings, the goat cheese, and the crunchy roasted almonds created a symphony of tastes on my palate. It was a culinary experience that left me in awe.
The ambiance of the place, however, had an industrial feel to it, and it was quite noisy. The service was impressively efficient and fast, ensuring that I didn't have to wait long to be served.

The atmosphere is great, super friendly service, the beers are really good I've been a fan even before visiting. My girlfriend enjoyed the mulled cider and wine selection so plenty of options for non beer drinkers. We got a margarita pizza to share and it didn't wow me, it was fine but wasn't very memorable or anything amazing, that being said, everything else made up for it.

Excellent high country destination venue. Lots of craft beer to enjoy and chef curated culinary delights. Great for all ages and social functions. Enjoy the indoor bar/ brewery vibe or sit outside on the expansive deck and enjoy the weather and natural beauty of the area. Congrats if you are lucky enough to visit on an event weekend such as the famous dark beer fastival Darker Days.

Great selection of beers and excellent pizzas. Live music on a Sunday afternoon in the back deck or sit in the beer garden and watch the world go by. It was Hot Rod weekend so plenty to see!

Nice outdoor area with live music and good beers, but very disappointing food. Ordered a Nduja Pizza and the Kids Margherita Pizza. Both came with a burned base. My wife had the Beef Burger, which was okay but not worth $28.

Great food and beer. The place looks a bit commercial, but we were all pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. Tacos were amazing, kids loved the pasta and the pizza was very good according to my wife. All arrived quickly and with a smile! Great selection of beers (though I only tried the amber ale, which was great).

Beers were all very good, staff were super knowledgeable and more than happy to give testers until you found something you liked, though given their quality that should not take not take long. Food was great. Table if 6 shared two pizzas and three bowls of chips and was a good portion size along with beer or two for a late afternoon lunch. If in the area and a beer drinker, bright brewery is a must do. Skip the other pubs and come here.

Lovely setting and welcome dogs. Our only problem.was that we arrived at 2.25pm by the time we sat and gave our fur baby a drink and then went to place our lunch order it was 2.31pm . Kitchen closed at 2.30pm. All we were able to have was a bowl of chips.

We finally got a chance to visit this amazing place after a year. One of the best beers in Victoria, and it also serves really good pizza!
Very quick service, and the food came hot. Loved the pizza, and the fries were tasty & chunky.
The highlight was definitely the tasting paddle ($12) that allowed us to explore their wide range of beers.
Just keep in mind that their kitchen closes at 8:30 pm. The place can also get really packed, so either book a table or be patient to wait until the friendly staff can accommodate you.
Definitely coming back again whenever we are in Bright!

Stopped by on a Thursday morning and tasted the Apricot Neipa and the American Hazy. Took a 4 pack of the Irrationally hazy oat cream with me and later tried a 'Le Monstres du Chateau' Rum & Banana Brandy Barrel Aged Imperial Stout. Great venue, friendly staff and a good food and beverage selection. My only regret is having to leave after 2.
Howitt Park is a picturesque park located by the river that features a large wooden play structure for children. The park offers various activities suitable for people of all ages, making it an ideal destination for families. Its main attraction is the river and splash park, where both kids and adults can enjoy water-based activities and games. Additionally, visitors can look forward to the Bright Market held every third Saturday of each month, where local handmade products are sold.

I would like to recommend a relaxing half-day itinerary that includes visiting some beautiful attractions. Start your day by taking a stroll through a park or garden with colorful autumn leaves, which is a great way to unwind and appreciate nature's beauty. Next, you can take your kids to a fun-filled children's playground where they can enjoy various activities and make new friends. Lastly, head to a scenic spot where you can watch flocks of grey geese fly by and bask in the serenity of the surroundings.

The park is part of Centenary Park, which also offers BBQ facilities and a playground. This place is really beautiful by scenic view. River looks so cool when you are enjoying with your kids around.
Got few public toilets facilities as well if you are there around winters and you can’t hold for longer.
This place got lots of sitting benches to have a good snacks on a beautiful day so plan your trip.
Safely could be a concern issue with small kid as there are no railing that can hold kids not going into the river.
So young parents be careful with your kids while you are enjoying yourself there.
Couple of good restaurants are there and kids got lots of option to have fun.

Kids absolutely had a ball with the water canons and the sprinklers and all children waiting for the bucket to drop its loaf of water on them. Water was freezing in the river lol. But seems children can't feel it like we can. Free and fun, Next to a huge play ground and not far from the entrance of the canyon walk. Beautiful maintenance lawns and garden, no rubbish. Just awesone

Love it. Even when crazy busy, you always seem to get a park right near the middle of everything, walking distance to town for supplies food coffees ice cream etc, drinking taps, bins, tidy, copes well with huge crowds, HEAPS of shade, toilets, relaxing as hell, love it, and the kids love it even more.
Apex Lookout is a picturesque destination, providing breathtaking panoramic mountain vistas and being an ideal spot for scenic walks and moderate hikes. The view overlooking Bright and the surrounding area is splendid, though some spots might obstruct it. Accessing specific areas might be challenging if you're walking, but a 4WD can come in handy. There are even seats to relax on while enjoying the scenery.
Quite steep and rough going up, you wouldn't make it in a sedan, it's 4WD only unfortunately, but wow! What a view when you get there, beautiful overlooking Bright and Wandilligong, a few walking paths up there for different vantage points and a couple of park benches and tables too

The drive is good to the top but the lookout itself is not worth the drive. Tried to capture the sunset over the bright but see too many obstructions.

A reasonably gentle 4WD to Apex Hill, but the views and sights all around made it so worthwhile. Looking down over Bright and surrounding farms and hills was wonderful.
John Tichborne — Google review
Great hike, be prepared for an incline the entire way, there is hardly any flat sections. Some beautiful views from the top. Not a lot of parking at the bottom of this walk and you can only drive the whole way and skip the walk if you are in a 4wd.

The track Very Steep in places gravel and 4wd needed but awesome views from the top
Phillip V — Google review
Good place to go and checkout the view over Bright and the surrounding area. The view can be obstructed in spots though. The 4wd came in handy to get there as certain areas are challenging if you are walking. And there is even a couple of seats to sit down. I wouldn't recommend if your in a car though.
Peter Lowden — Google review
The drivable road till the lookout point is only for 4WD. It really is.
In other case, there’s a 1.2km of ascent walk taking approximately 20 mins one-way. The first half of the trek is a slight-ascent wavy path, while the second half is zig-zaggy with steep-ish ascent.
Pranav Malaviya — Google review
Lovely walk, great view.
Ben Kelada — Google review
Nice place to visit and great hiking experience. Only 4wd can access top if your going by car (without walking 1.4km track).
Dushyantha Liyanage — Google review
A moderate walk from downtown Bright and about 10kms return. We started early before the sun got too high. 4wd only as it is steep, rocky and loose. The walk itself is 1.2km and well worth it for the views. We saw a couple of kangaroos on the way up. Be aware of dirt bike riders on the dirt road also. 👍
Alan King — Google review
please be advised that the road up the mountain is very difficult to navigate. The path is littered with loose stones, potholes, and is quite steep. I was driving a 4-wheel drive Cherokee and even with that, I was unable to make it up the mountain halfway. I found myself in a difficult position, unable to move forward or backward. Fortunately, a kind passerby helped me drive my car back down the mountain safely. Please exercise caution and use a vehicle that is suitable for such a challenging terrain if you plan on making the journey.
The Alpine Shire Council Visitor Information Centre is highly praised for its helpful and informative staff who provide detailed information about local attractions, hiking trails, biking routes, and dining options in Bright. Visitors also received valuable advice on road conditions and mountain activities. The center's proximity to the cinema makes it a convenient stop for tourists seeking guidance on exploring Mount Buffalo and other nearby attractions.
We just popped in for some info about hiking and road conditions. We got so much help from a friendly woman at the counter.

Busy and clearly understaffed. The person we spoke to did not seem to have enough local knowledge. For example, that the Horn was closed all week on Mt Buffalo, or that Huggins Lookout was closed. Things I would expect the tourist information centre to know. Did not seem willing to make suggestions of things of interest.
The bike map book was horrendous for the smaller rides, but good if you were a hard core mountain biker. The start of the trails were difficult to find and not explained well at all in the booklet, and no maps for the smaller shorter rides. . Disappointing for an area that is all about bikes.
Usual pamphlets, fishing knowledge seems very limited.
