The Hilton Niseko Village is a well-appointed hotel nestled in the mountains, boasting numerous amenities such as restaurants, bars, and a spa. The location also provides ski-in/ski-out access for avid skiers. The staff are exceptional and play a crucial role in guests' enjoyable experiences at the hotel. Although there are too many outstanding employees to name individually, they collectively contribute to making visitors' stays unforgettable.
Our stay was wonderful. The breakfast here is absolutely worth it. The restaurants in the hotel serve amazing food. The staff was amazing and friendly. Learn the bus schedules and getting around town is no problem. It is hard to get a taxi but the receptionist told us this at check-in so we just took the bus. Many of the restaurants in the area are reservation only and fill up fast so book early.

The location is the major draw. The staff are friendly, helpful, and well trained. It’s English friendly. The food was good. The rooms are ok , a bit outdated, but have a nice view. The onsen was kind of disappointing. It’s small, could use resurfacing, and only has 2 pools. One indoor and one outdoor. The outdoor pool is undercover and only open on one side.

Good outdoor ONSEN while it’s a super snow in December. Love it. Great hot spring with the very beautiful white snow scenery. 🌨️⛄️❄️My friends came to enjoy ski experience whice is right at the door of the hotel 🎿 ⛷️. Room and service are typical Hilton standard.
Better be here by car rental for travel if wanna traveling around. Concierge can recommend some nice restaurants around town. Oh 😊 but a distance walking small village is also wonderful for dinner. Some nice restaurants do nice to eat.
(Lovely memory years ago in December. Just found a photo.)

Great service, food, accommodation and facilities even in summer time. You can enjoy golfing right next to the hotel. Activities are here and around the hotel. Of curse, fitness gym is opened. Community hot spring is here. Convenience store and souvenir shop, too.
Costly, but it is worth to stay there. I would visit here again.

The Hilton hotel is not very convenient if you don't have your own transport because it can be very hard to go out for dining. The nearby restaurants are at least a 5-minute drive away. The room is a bit old but is bigger than usual.
Here, they do have an onsen, and it is an outdoor one as well. Worth a try!!

A very good hotel in Niseko. The room is big and very comfortable, with all the amenities provided for the stay.
It has a village-like area for shopping and dining.
The hot spring is very cozy and relaxing.
Ski area is good for kids and beginners. There are lifts and gondola rides to the mountain. And the view from up there is breathtaking.

I can only give 2 stars to this hotel. The rooms are dirty, there was black mold in the window frames, Window screens have dust; the carpets are super stained and dirty, and everything is super outdated. The TV barely works and is from the 90s, just overall dirty and needs some love. when you’re paying what they’re asking there are some basic standards that should be in place. The thing that we enjoyed was the location. It’s very conveniently located at the base of the mountain. Nice to have a ski in ski out.

We stayed for 4 nights here but were disappointed in most aspects.
Hotel is far from village center and shuttle bus is extremely infrequent (every 2 hrs during peak hours in the morning). We also had an experience when the hotel bus departed earlier than scheduled at the village center bus stop - not ideal considering how infrequent their buses operated.
Apart from hotel restaurants, there are very few food options within walking distance of the hotel. Hotel in room dining also stops at 10pm.
We sat at the hotel lobby to relax but were "kicked out" at 11pm (they turned off all lights and stopped the music).
When asked about nearby services (we were trying to seek medical help), hotel staffs were unable to understand and kept asking if we wanted our room to be made.
We were also interrupted during our sleep by hotel staffs ringing our door asking if we called to have bedsheets changed (which we didn't).
The front concierge staffs were quite slow and typically have to wait for a long time before someone attends to you.
However, room was nice and we had a nice view. Breakfast buffet was good.
Overall I would have expected more from the Hilton.

I stayed for a solo birthday trip and when I tell you the staff here was the BEST I mean it! Although I was by myself they assisted me with everything and were so friendly and accommodating. Everyone at the front desk was wonderful but there was a nice Italian lady I think her name was Katia. She was amazing! Also the restaurant manager Karen made me feel like I was so welcomed and helped me so much. The room itself was nice nothing fancy just a nice normal hotel room that I would expect. The Onsen was great. The food breakfast, lunch, and dinner was so good! The only thing I wish was that you didn’t have to go a town over just to get more stores and etc but it’s not far (the taxi is expensive). The ski lift is literally right next to the hotel so I had a blast trying out skiing for the first time. Overall I had an amazing experience at this hotel and I would mostly stay here again because of the amazing staff members who made it so special!

I’d advise anyone reading this to stay elsewhere. Aesthetically, the hotel was outdated (small, plastic bathrooms with no mirror and 70’s fixtures and design throughout.) Logistically, it is far from the main town with restaurants / shops and the staff do not care at all about helping you call cabs or access transportation - the buses run fairly sporadically, there are often no cabs, and if you miss the last bus back to the hotel from town, you’re basically out of luck. The staff won’t have any solutions for you. There are few restaurants or activities nearby other than what’s in the hotel.
And what’s in the hotel is disorganized and haphazard at best. If you call the room service number, no one answers - I had to call five separate people and once I placed my order, the food took an hour and a half to arrive. Nothing runs smoothly, lines are long, and again the staff is pretty unconcerned. The spa only seemed to be open two hours a day and none of the staff seemed to know how to make reservations there. It’s incredibly difficult to find a seat almost anywhere in this hotel (likely because no one can leave to go to town).
The only pro is that it’s easy to access the mountain and ski in / ski out - though I understand that’s also the case at other hotels in the area.
I highly recommend staying in Hirafu or at least a different hotel.

Very nice hotel, grand and good facilities in general. Helpful and friendly staff, quite good breakfast spread. But not giving full marks because, on the night we arrived there was no one to help us with our many luggage and there wasn’t even a large group being served or anything. But the check-in staff was quick and efficient, good in English.
Than when we called in to say the body lotion bottle was empty, after 1 day still didn’t refill and had to call again before it was filled. Stayed during the period 13-15 mar 23. Also didn’t provide bottled water till then second day. Asked and was told to drink from the tap. A bit strange but otherwise still good.

Amazing service. Really nice onsen, including an outdoor section with views of Mount Yotei. Highly recommend staying in a room with a view of Mount Yotei. Kids play room is a nice touch, but wish there were more toys inside (they mostly just have stuffed animals). We will be back!

Booked Hilton for ski in its early season.
It’s beyond my expectations in many ways.
1. Although it’s not new hotel, the room is well maintained and has astonishing view of MT Yotei. You can enjoy the sunrise and sunset from the room.
2. Onsen and breakfast are both amazing. Enjoying the onsen after full day ski is of a great delight.
3. The staff are welcoming and flexible to help your request whenever you have. Good value for the money.
Highly recommend this hotel in Niseko.

So glad the tour agency chose Hilton Niseko for our stay even though it was just for 1 night. The hotel lobby was so welcoming with the Christmas vibes. Spacious lounge to chill out with a drink. The ski terrain is just outside. Room was great. We got a room view of the ski terrain. But just that we always get corner rooms. Comfy beds, with bath tub. Feels so comfortable here. They have hot spring facility too. Buffet dinner spread was delicious and the staff were friendly and they aren't just japanese but also from other countries to serve international visitors. We top up additional for a Japanese sake which was good, spicy taste not too overwhelming. Breakfast spread was good as well. Had a good time sledding the next morning after breakfast. Really a good experience for the 1st time staying at Hilton.

Great hotel, great location, and the best staff. The Hilton has everything you need and the location is great to ski everywhere. What made the trip for me was the staff. Katia was an amazing concierge and assured us everything was taken care of well before we even arrived. Even fighting the weather and travel issues, she helped us every step of the journey. Nishitani was also amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. These two were critical to us enjoying our stay, yet there were so many more that had a part in it as well. Too many awesome staff members to name but the Hilton team alone made the visit wonderful. Highly recommend to others.

We stayed at this hotel last week and we absolutely loved our experience here. The gondola is right in-front of this hotel which takes you all the way up the mountain and provides a effortless start to your day skiing!
Breakfast was INCREDIBLE! Best breakfast I’ve ever had. The lunch and dinner restaurants are also fantastic with great options for American travelers.
The staff was TOP NOTCH as I was tracked down on my last day and given a “see you soon” card. To me, this meant so much! Thank you Hilton Staff for your this!

This should be an amazing hotel but it's not. First, you can't beat the location as base camp for skiing. Gondola out the back door and ski valet (included) yards away from the lift line. That's about the end of the good. The rooms are small and out dated with plastic one piece molded showers in a bathroom not big enough for a sink (it's in the entry of the room). They didn't have the AC on (or it doesn't exist, never got an answer) and the doors are paper thin. Only two restaurants were still open in early April - the buffet restaurant was mediocre at best and the other required reservations 1 or 2 days ahead of time. The "village" had already shut down for the season so these were your only choices without a bus ride. The bus was an option but route times were inconvenient and spaced out so you had to plan your day around their schedule. It is a drive from everything else and so far away that taxis would rarely come by. The interior is outdated, the spa was open at random times and the convenient store on-site was very limited. Overall, just not up to Hilton standards and we won't be back.
Scott Baker — Google review
The location is quite far away from the city, but the room is cozy and the size is comfortable for 2 people.
The night view is awosome while taking the hot spring outside which is closed to the pond, then you would feel relaxed to see the mountain view and moon during the time to enjoy hot spring.
(If you want to take hot spring outside in the morning, the sunshine would be too shiny.......it is better to enjoy the hot spring at night)
Besides, the shower space is big and each open showering cube is seperated, and no need to worry about the shower water will splash other people.
By the way, the body wash, shampoo and conditioner are provided and put in each showering cube, which is convinent to enjoy the bath without taking any cleaning products.
After taking shower, there is a cozy area for people to wash face, put make up and dry hair, then the toner, lotion and cosmetics pads are provided on each dressing table, which is designed with sink.(very convienient)
Don't forget to bring your own towel and wear clothes they provided to enjoy the moment.

A very mixed bag overall. The hotel itself is very nice and the setting is exceptional. But the room falls completely short of what is expected of a 4 stars hotel.
Some of the service is also questionable. We ordered room service and were very surprised to get it delivered to us in craft takeout bags with carton boxes and low end wooden forks and knives.
I believe the room experience is still the core business of a hotel.
Thus, I can’t see myself walking into a Hilton again anytime soon after this experience.

Not near good restaurants. Poor transportation to other resorts and Hirafu. The restaurant for late night served us food that probably had been under a heat lamp for 4 hours. Although there are perks to the ski in/out there are numerous better places to stay.

One of the best ski in and ski out hotel. Super convenient if you love the mountain. We visited right as the spring season started. Less shops open which was a small trade off to a very awesome experience. Less crowded.

Food in hotel is pretty bad and not worth the value . The hotel is secluded and the convenience store is far. The the chair lift is very old and fast. Service was lacking compared to there prices. The good side is that they clean the room everyday and they have shuttle bus

Cannot stress enough that I do not recommend nesiko Hilton. If you reserve a room they will raise the rates on you when you check out. As a Hilton honors member they will not let you use points and the benefits are different here than what honors usually promise. The hotel is old and outdated. Honestly recommend to use someone different besides these guys.

Overall a decent place. You can tell the staff are tired of dealing with tourists (and I can't blame them, listening to some conversations). The views and lobby and hotel grounds are beautiful, and worth the stay. I'm giving 2 stars because of the transportation to and from the hotel. This Hilton needs more shuttle services or transportation options. There's only two buses running in a circuit between all the resorts (so they're very crowded), and Hilton is the last stop. It's about an hour long bus ride from the station to the hotel, with about an hour between departure times. The buses also aren't a very reliable option; my wife experienced getting skipped by a bus. You also have to pay for the bus (which isn't too expensive). Taxis are not easy to reserve, and they're expensive. 4K Yen from the hotel to the train station, and we were lucky to get a taxi at all. Nearly missed the train which would've left us stranded there.
Shane Bourgoin — Google review
Rooms very small but the proximity to the gondola and the amazing staff made up for it. Food was average, and lots of the restaurants were shut due to it being near the end of the ski season.

Would have rated 5 stars if only they offer in-room dining services 24-7; nonetheless, this is still the best place in Niseko for ski-in and ski-out. Glad they have more options for food. The view from the outdoor onsen and from their rooms is just magical. Love the breakfast buffet!
We’ll definitely be back next year.

I had a very happy 5 night stay at the Hilton Niseko Village. The snow is fine and powdery, suitable for skiing. The rooms are clean and comfortable, combined with Japanese-Western style, suitable for the price. The hotel has an outdoor onsen, perfect for relaxing your sore muscles after skiing. Excellent service staffs. Will definitely come back to stay again.
The Niseko Annupuri Kokusai Ski Area is a fantastic resort with a variety of amenities for visitors. Offering night courses, multiple restaurants, and a designated kids' area, this ski resort caters to everyone's needs. The runs are wide and open with ample space for snowboarding and skill-building opportunities. For those looking to challenge themselves, there are gentle runs with unkept areas to explore.
One of best ski resort in Asia!

Was late in the season when I went but thoroughly enjoyed this side of the mountain. There is a fantastic gully to ski through skier's right when leaving the gondola— just go through the gate and trees. I dropped over from Hirefu but had to climb up a bit from Annupuri and ski through trees to get back. It was either that or an expensive taxi ride

Really nice open runs with very wide run-off areas. Great for snowboarding and practicing skills. Some nice gentle runs with interesting unkept areas if you want to push yourself a little more. The 1,000m point provides some lovely views over the region. Nighttime boarding is limited to the lower runs but still lots to explore.

Family friendly ski slope, but the facility is dated. There’s a lingering stale smoke smell upon entering the building. The mess hall on the second floor provides sufficient food options. It refuels skiers quickly so they can get back out on the slopes.

One of the many ski area's in Niseko, it's been said that Annupuri Kokusai Ski Area has the slopes that's best for beginners. Indeed we were beginners and the hills were not too much a challenge. There are rental shops located on the side of the opening slope and a food court as well; although the opening hours if the food court were a little unclear. There is a large parking lot so there is almost no trouble with finding a parking spot. Ski lift ticket prices were reasonable. Once done skiing, there are a few restaurants nearby that you may visit, but do note that they'll be a bit more expensive that the restaurants you may find it the neighboring town of Kutchan.

Came to Annupuri as part of the Niseko United all mountain pass in late March 2023 (Spring Season). Snow was still fantastic, not much powder, mostly slush but very rideable. Most people are boarding on Annupuri because of the wide open runs, and I would say its a great place for all skill levels. For off piste maybe the other resorts are better but I loved this one as a beginner snowboarder
Tony Sun — Google review
Great resort for beginners or intermediate skier or boarders that not steep which can be a problem on a powder day not being able to get enough speed. For the advanced there are off piest gates opened and monitored by ski patrol with tree runs which are amazing. Family friendly dinning options with 1400 yen ramen which is the best out of all the the Niseko resorts. Can get hourly passes which is good value.

Not as crowded as Hirafu. Queues at the gondola but they have a singles line. This is a great innovation, which the other resorts should adopt. Hooded quad lift is never crowded. Dream quad moves very slowly. Good resort for beginners and intermediates. I never venture through the gates, so I can't comment on advanced skiing routes. My favourite eating option so far is the miso ramen at nook annupuri.

This is my favorite roadside station in Hokkaido.
A short drive from Niseko Station.
At roadside stations, you can buy not only fresh vegetables, but also dairy products, processed meat products, local sake and wine, and more.
There are several shops that offer light meals right next to the vegetables.
There are several restaurants such as soba restaurants on the other side of the parking lot.
Although it is outside the premises of the roadside station, there is also a bakery baked in a stone kiln on the other side of the road.
I always buy locally grown porcini mushrooms from the vegetable section.
After returning to the campsite, I make pasta or saute it and eat it as it is.
All the vegetables are very fresh and delicious, and the prices are unthinkably cheap in Tokyo.
If you are looking for vegetables, we definitely recommend going early.

Niseko Moiwa Ski Resort is a cozy and enjoyable skiing destination with comfortable lodge accommodations, a restaurant, and lounge. It is situated near Rankoshi and known for its smaller size compared to other mountains in the Niseko region, making it less crowded. The resort offers reasonable pricing options for night ski, 4-hour or all-day passes. Visitors can enjoy fresh morning tracks if they arrive early as most tourists flock towards larger runs around Mt Yohei, Grand Hirafu area.
If you get fresh snow you'll have such a good time in Moiwa! The "back country" area is awesome! It is quite a small resort, you basically lap the same lift all day.

So much better than the bigger and more popular ski resorts. Not as crowded which is especially good for beginners like us as we pretty much have the slopes to ourselves. My family and I booked a private ski lesson with Moiwa ski resort. We were taught by Miss Maki, Mr Shin and the boss whom we didn’t get the name. We had a blast and they took really great care of us. All the three of them were fantastic and they were the saving grace for this review. It gets downhill from here.
We were totally unimpressed with the main counter staff. One of our family member had an accident while skiing on his own. The counter staff managed to get a medic to check on him and recommended for him to make a trip to a hospital for a detailed checkup. Not only did they refuse to assist us to make a call for taxi to send him to the hospital, THEY GAVE US TOTALLY WRONG INFORMATION! They told us that the nearest hospital is closed for the day and could not offer us alternatives and left us on our own.
In the end, we had to make own back to our lodge slowly. Moiwa Lodge’s staff was totally different and they were a gem!! They assessed the situation and assisted us to call an ambulance to send my family member to the hospital promptly. We were also told that the hospital was indeed closed on weekends, but they do accept accident emergencies via ambulance. What puzzled was that the local staff at Moiwa Ski Resort did not know such simple, yet important information, and it did give us the impression that it would give them bad publicity if an ambulance were to appear at their premise. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED to say the least.

The outdoor onsen in the middle of winter is quite beautiful. Definitely worth a visit.
Only the ladies have an indoor and outdoor onsen. The men just have an indoor onsen.

In 1955, Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Showa stayed in Niseko when they toured Hokkaido.

Since then, this spring water has been named Kanro-sui and has been considered one of Niseko's natural treasures.

All exhibits are in Japanese so need translator to guide you or use a translation photo app like GoogleTranslate. Very interesting life he had - travelled the world and the gave away his inherited farm to the farmworkers. Interesting side exhibits on history of local trains plus some neolithic stone tools found locally. Coffee shop def worth a visit too.

Higashiyama Niseko Village, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve
We had a wonderful experience at this amazing resort! From the time we entered to the time we left. They have a valet car service, we were greeted immediately at arrival and led to the lounge for a special plum tea. Our room featured a beautiful view of Mount Yotei. We also received spa services with a facial and head message - definitely worth it! The breakfast was included in our room package which was delicious - they have a king crab eggs Benedict meal that is scrumptious. The service from the employees was top notch - very friendly and personable! Overall, it was a great experience.

A truly exquisite stay. We can think of no better place to have celebrated our honeymoon! We particularly enjoyed the onsen (open 6:30 am to midnight which was amazing!), our gorgeous room, and the food was excellent across the board (sushi counter especially). The highlight was the quality of the service - everyone there was so kind, attentive yet not intrusive. A special shout-out to Antonio who was incredibly hospitable and made sure we were well taken care of.
Thank you!!

Outstanding service
It usually not offer room upgrades and free breakfast to Marriott elite remember for CR Reserve.
I am Titanium elite. Just meet promotion period, I have complimentary breakfast and room upgrade. The hospitality is amazing. The room is well decorated by elegances and the breakfast is marvelous. The staffs are so nice to us. I love the staffs.
The only suggestion is the Dining. I do not see the value matching of Sushi Nagi. The last few courses became less valuable which disappointed me.

Such a wonderful night there ! It was a unique experience there for my birthday, and can't thank my wife enough for it !! The staff was incredible and the service provided was amazing!! And the view from the room on Mt Yotei was terrific!! Must be really good to be there during winter season !!

One of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I came in November in the off season. This ritz property is a haven for skiers with many lifts and world class slopes within walking distance, and because there was no snow I had the hotel mostly to myself. I speak some Japanese but I was so happy that the staff spoke English too. I also appreciate how they respected the fact that I liked to practice and would mix Japanese and English together for me. Kohei-san was my main contact at the hotel and he made me feel welcome and attended to. I used the restaurant and the onsen and spa and had an amazing massage that was thoughtful and professional. I had a private dinner with the sushi chef that included some great conversations with the occasional hilarious misunderstanding. His skills were unparalleled in my view and the seafood was fresh as can be. The hotel is beautiful and the bed was just incredible. The rooms are huge and luxurious and new. I’d make a trip all the way back to Niseko just to stay here again. The views of Mt. Yotei were stunning and everywhere you look.

One of best hotels I have ever experienced!!
We enjoyed every moments of the stay, it was very unique, the room is amazingly great, every staff here are helpful and friendly.
Food is also delicious. We had dinner and breakfast, love how the chef used the ingredients so well. Two picks of the night: the scallop dish - the cheese risotto is so crispy and very creative; the Yoichi flounder dish - this combination is perfect to me!!
Highly recommend to every visitors in Niseko👍🏻

Rooms are impeccable! Modern, spacious and well maintained. For anyone booking a room, make sure you book the side with the view of Mt. Yotei, the other side of the hotel is quiet lackluster view wise.
Food was of decent quality and range for breakfast, keeping in mind the location. Dinner was always top notch. Priced reasonably considering ski-season.
Service was below-average if you were just having drinks in the lobby bar rather than eating at the restaurant. Staff inattentive in the lounge without approaching the bar and requesting service.
The hotel itself maintains a significantly higher quality of service compared to the Hilton next door which is out dated and extremely busy, compared to the quiet and small Ritz. Missed a massive opportunity by building the hotel up to gain better views.
Overall, service was below normal Ritz quality, but a good location with great snow and a cosy quaint hotel. Definitely enjoyed the stay and would return.

Amazing service, decor and beautiful large rooms. This is a ski-in and ski-out resort with in-house ski rentals and is located close to a gondola. Most staff speak good English.
Food options are limited, sushi omakase and their main restaurant. Main restaurant food was alright, nothing extraordinary.
If you are arriving by bus from the airport, you need to stop at Hilton Hotel and take another shuttle van to Ritz Carlton because the drop off point at Ritz is not built to allow direct bus drop off. One of the hassles of staying at Ritz for tourists.
There is a free shuttle bus available to take guests to Hirafu area where there are shops, supermarket and more food options.
The green runs nearer to Ritz are flatter slopes, not suitable for snowboarders. You will see alot of snowboarders struggling to cross the flat areas. You will need to take the gondola to access other slopes around the area that are better.
The period we went, it’s was local Japanese students excursion, so the slopes were filled with many students. If not it was usually quite empty.

We came to Niseko for family summer vacation, stayed here for 5 nights, and everyone was left with a remarkable memory and smile on their face at the end. The location of this hotel is not easily accessible without vehicle, but that's one of my personal favorites. The area is typically crowded during winter ski season, but it is much quieter during summer, and there are still a lot of activities to do in this season. The staff, needless to say, delivered subtle heart-warming services to our family, even surprised me with a small birthday celebration. I want to express my gratitude to Antonio, Wilson, Romany, Bochua, Ryoka, Oh, and all other team members at the hotel who made our stay extra memorable. I will definitely come back again.
Richard Liang — Google review
While the location and hotel itself are beautiful the level of service was disappointing and consistently felt that there was a high level is disinterest in the guests. For the brand reputation and cost I would not return to this hotel, recommend to client or friend and not stay at another Ritz Carlton in the future. A few examples below to help illustrate how the experience was not the level that someone expects from a luxury hotel.
Housekeeping was inconsistent, one day while we were out skiing we returned at 4pm ready to change and refresh for dinner to find housekeeping was only half way through cleaning our room. We had to wait in the hallway for ten minutes for them to finish. The next day we returned at 2pm and housekeeping hadn’t started at all. Both days we were out of the room at 8am and for a hotel with only 50 rooms housekeeping should have been completed while we were gone. There were also days where we didn’t have bottled water refreshed or we were missing a bath mat etc.
Ski Rentals: We completed a pre-reservation form for skis and boots, indicating the size and ski length needed. It was surprising that upon arrival they didn’t have the ski length I needed. I ended up having to downgrade from an advance rental to a basic and was told I still had to pay the advanced price. Only at check out when I argued this did they charge me the price of the ski level they actually gave me. With the many rental shops in the area and the caliber of a Ritz Carlton brand any guest that provides advance notice should have skis available in their size. Additionally my partners skis weren’t fit properly and they came off twice while skiing, once while on the ski lift and a second time while turning down a green run by the hotel.
The lounge area has great views but everyday we experienced many people working at the bar but we were ignored. At one point my partner and another guest had to go up to the bar and order and then return again to ask for another round of drinks. For a hotel that small and what always seemed to be a 1:1 staff to guest ratio the amount of times we were stared at and ignored was unacceptable.
On our last day we booked a private onsen only to arrive and see used towels, empty water bottles and used toothbrushes in the onsen they told us had a deep clean just before. Something so simple to check the cleanliness should never be missed at a hotel of any caliber let alone a 5 star.
Overall the hotel is beautiful and the rooms are spacious but it is one of the worst levels of service I have experienced in any level of a hotel and quite shocking compared to the other hotels we stayed at in Japan. With only 50 rooms and the high price tag, the service should have been personal, proactive, attentive and at the very least have gotten the basics of housekeeping and service right

An absolute awful experience for a top tier ritz location.
Service was horrendous, asides from check in.
Entire F&B staff should be fired or at least the F&B manager. Does not know how to manage a team.
People barley understand English
Massage was expensive and way too gentle even when I kept asking for more pressure.
Considering we are in. A ski town how is there no foam roller in gym.
Will not come back. May have ruined all ritz for me

The rooms were outstanding. I really loved the outdoor onsen. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel lobby and bar were like walking into a dream.
There were 2 things that were not a 5 star experience:
1) Ski rental inside the hotel took 45 minutes with 2 people helping a long line of guests. They also ran out of powder skis, and we had fresh powder. Niseko is famous for its powder. People come here for the powder. How can you not have skis for powder?
2) The hotel does not operate a private shuttle, but rather relies on the public bus. That means walking out from the hotel to an unsheltered bus stop and making multiple stops at other hotels to go to Hirafu or Hanazono.

Marriott should have the guts to deflag this non compliance property; low quality offerings for both rooms, amenities and restaurants.

We love this hotel and the area. It is a very special place. The hotel is beautiful and comfortable. The room is well appointed, spotless, and relaxing. However, what really makes it great are the people. The staff at this hotel are amazing. They are warm, work hard, and have become friends. We highly recommend.
Niseko Mt. Resort Grand Hirafu Ski resort is a top-notch, all-inclusive ski destination that offers a range of activities and amenities for visitors. The resort boasts numerous shops, eateries, snow parks, and hiking trails for summer adventurers. On a perfect day, the snow conditions are excellent with no long lines to wait in. Renting equipment is an easy process thanks to the friendly staff who are always ready to lend a helping hand.
Best powder snow in Japan. The weather was not great on the day we got here. Many lifts were closed due to strong wind. However we still enjoyed the course. My advice is plan your play a head by checking weather n current lift status on website.

Powder and lots of of it! Worth a visit and feels like something everyone should experience if you're seeking deep lines of powder.
Things I wish I knew before: Runs are short compared to North America, restaurants are very crowded, rentals are okay, and there is a free shuttle that is available throughout the town. Lunch options on the hill are awesome and much better than most resorts in North America.
Jason — Google review
This ski resort deserves the world wide fame it gets, snow is amazing, views are amazing and the terrain is amazing. It is on the expensive side compared to other Japanese resorts but it’s the most famous so they charge what they want.
The little villages at the base are amazing but it’s way more expensive, food and drinks are double what you will pay in other places.
First day we were stuck in just HIrafu as the wind had the top of the mountain in hold.
Night riding was an incredible experience and it started snowing just as the sun went down.
Second day was 5-10cm of fresh snow and the riding was incredible. Hiked to the summit pf the resort and ride fresh lines on the return.
We can’t wait to come back to Niseko.

Dr. Piya Chayanuwat — Google review
Amazing powder! Hirafu is the largest of the 4 mountains it seemed and the most to explore. Some trees. Still smaller than US mountains in UT, CO. It is fairly easy to navigate despite minimal signage. Often snowing (visibility can be tough momentarily if it's windy). Hirafu is connected to one other mountain in the set of 4, the other 2 are a 15 min drive. Above the tree line is accessed by a single lift with a small back at both Nisseko and Hirafu. It was easy on and off even for the kids (8, 10). Vegetarian food is limited even at Hirafu. Some food can sell out even on low volume days.
Nadine Wilches — Google review
Variety of groomed runs, tree sections all offer the best powder snow I've seen anywhere.
If the weather is kind to you, you'll wake up to a morning with the slopes coated by fresh snow, often more than 20cm and then the bright sun offers such spectacular views!
If the weather reminds you it's winter after all, the snow is still there in abundance, but it can get blustery at the mid-top mountain.
A winter wonderland!
Must visit place for all those enjoying skiing/snowboarding.

Powder snow and breathtaking sights make this ski resort amazing. Lots of people travel here because it has some of the best snow in the world.
A 5 hour pass / full day pass is recommended when you are able to ski well. It can also get particularly crowded on the beginner slope with people sitting around.
Royce Ho — Google review
Stunning resort with amazing skiing. A must, and the powder when it snowes is amazing Village is nice as well, with many shuttles going around (though they are very crowded). Would recommend staying on the hill or renting a car if you can because of the crowded buses.
Mackenzie Johnson — Google review
The slopes were amazing. Powder day was incredible.
Staff at the Annex rental store were lovely and so helpful (best to know some basic Japanese though, as some of the staff aren't English speakers).
Over-priced food for Japan at least at the cafe/ restaurant ($25 for a beef burger and wedges). Knowing this, buy food at the Lawson convenience store down the road from the Annex rental shop and save yourself heaps of money. Just don't go to the Lawson after a day of skiing (>6:00pm) and expect there to be food left. Massive lines and most of the food gone. Save yourself the trouble and buy it in the morning before you head up to the mountain.
Facilities are plentiful. Lots of info desks, toilets are easily accessible, lifts are very easy to catch, ski passes and rental stores are easily accessible/ easy to purchase on the day. Places are nicely heated and comfortable to rest in after a few hours of skiing/ snowboarding.
A few down sides. The place is absolutely overrun with tourists (specifically Aussies and Americans). I'm an Aussie so no prejudice here. Some of us can be a bit...much, especially when drunk, which is a frequent occurrence here. The problem is that the Japanese staff that operate the buses and convenience stores have to put up with this, day in and day out, so expect some staff to be snappy or even yell at you if you step out of line, even a smidge. I asked a bus driver in Japanese if the bus was going to a particular stop. He death stared me for about 3 seconds and suddenly started yelling at me, waving his arms around. He obviously wasn't having a good day. Not a big deal, just be prepared for it.
Some buses just don't arrive, are full of people and so you can't get on or in some cases, just don't stop in one rare case.
Overall, a great experience. Just tailor your expectations, so that you're not surprised by an ocean of tourists, lack of restaurants that don't require a reservation or angry bus drivers. Otherwise, an amazing time. (Take the gondola up to the green King run).

Excellent runs and good tree area. Many different runs has views of Mt. Yotei which is magnificent. You can easily spend few days just explore this area. The runs are super fun for snowboarders. The only bad thing is way too many people here. Nieseko area had been getting so popular that getting to lift is long wait. When we were here 6 years ago, it was so quiet. Big portion of beginners are at the lower area, I saw someone got ski over and broke her arm. It become a bit chaotic. This is the reason I gave this area 4 stars. If you are advance skiers/ riders, spending all your times in tress area, this is less of problem. But again, you still need to deal with insane amount of the people at lift.

Even when the forecast calls for limited or no snow, there’s still powder to be found.
The hikes are amazing. Be sure the pack your beacon and ride with a friend, but you can’t beat the back country access.
The town itself leaves a lot to be desired. Impossible to get in anywhere without a reservation, so you really have to script your trip.
Very touristy, so if you’re looking to experience Japan, this is not your resort
