The Atashgah Zoroastrianism Fire Temple, a castle-like ancient temple complex, was once used as a place of worship by both Hindus and Zoroastrians. Located in Baku's historic Old City, it is exquisitely preserved and features notable landmarks such as the Palace of the Shirvanshahs and Maiden Tower. The nearby Heydar Aliyev Center is an impressive modern architectural project.
This place is interesting if you like visiting historical architectures and learn more about it. Its 30 minutes away from Yanardag..so you can visit both on the same day. Entrance fee for adults - 4mannat

Enjoyed the visit and learning about the fire worshipping culture and relevance to the silk road. Great to combine with a trip to Baku. We visited as a part of a half day tour.

Better go early morning because it will be crowded later. You can buy ticket in the counter next to parking lot. You get combined tickets for fire temple and yanardag if you are planning to visit both on same or consecutive days. Not much restaurants near by so better take something with you.

This was my favourite part of the absheron and gobustan Tours. Its so interesting to learn about Zoroastrian culture and religion and how it is still played out today. Museum rooms are very creative and it makes for a great learning experience. And of course the temple itself is stunning.

Amazing and astounding, this ancient fire temple located at Suraxani is an iconic attraction for one and all. Sprawling premises, fire emanating in the middle of a stone pillared dome surrounded by stone cell rooms is a must visit. This was the place of worship centuries ago for Hindus and Zorastrians. There is an admission ticket and also spacious parking. One has to hire a taxi from Baku to reach this place.
