Easy to spot an empty lot.
Very close to the market.

The parking space is very small, especially, we have to wait lots of time to park the care at weekend or holiday. but the fee is very reasonable. If buying any good and food at the market over 10,000 KRW, you would be having a 30 minute coupon. but the coupon can not be used more than two sheets at one time. the mean is we have to pay cash from over one hour even though we have a coupon.
For the easy parking to enjoy Central market, let me suggest you to use City hall or nearby city hall parking area because they are closed from central market, about less 10 minutes by walking and additionally it is free.

Good location and parking lot that can accommodate many cars. However, the price is high and the coupon is only discounted for 1 hour. You have no other options.

Sokcho Beach, which opened in 1976, is a famous destination for tourists and locals due to its ideal location near Sokcho Express Bus Terminal. Surrounded by pine forest and offering clean and shallow waters during summer season, the beach is perfect for swimming, walking and collecting shells. There are numerous eateries and convenience facilities located nearby as well as a small park with walking trails through pine trees.
Beautiful place. I loved it.

Its beautiful beach with additional view for ferris wheel which make it more perfect!

Pleasant and clean, with surfboard rentals, a Ferris wheel nearby and an modest assortment cafes and conveniently located guest houses, this is an attractive beach but is unlikely to make anyones list of world class beaches, and not even likely to qualify as one of Korea’s best beaches.

Beautiful beach facing the East Sea! They decorated the pier with colorful lights at night and painted it with fish and crabs. It has fine white sand and close to hotels and restaurants.
Don't miss out walking at night or riding the ferris wheel. Also try to wake up early and head over here to watch the sunrise.

Great beach with a beautiful view of a every small island. Frequent fireworks on weekends (not sure about weekdays). Safe area, and you are allowed to pitch a tent on the beach and camp (for FREE!) ... surrounded by many coffee shops and restaurants. Public showers and toilets in the parking area (in the event that you want to camp)

Beautiful scenery. In the summertime it's really busy. Fireworks (but security limits them), night market food stalls, carnival games, and lots of photo ops. Daytime it's packed with families and night time you're not allowed in the water but it's bustling with people out for an evening stroll. Worth visiting in the summertime for day time and night time experiences.
They gave public washrooms (really clean), and air or water pumps to clean your shoes or feet once you're out of the sand. Safe, kid friendly, and lots to do/see here.

Sokcho Beach, with its tranquil shoreline and breathtaking views of Seoraksan Mountain, is a coastal gem.
The nearby Sokcho Eye offers a unique perspective of this beauty from above. A must-visit combo for nature and adventure lovers! 🌊🏔️🎡

Very nice and clean beach with great amenities. Great for a swim! High waves so maybe not suitable for small children.

This beach is very close from Sokcho Express Bus Terminal by 5 minutes walking distance. It's one of the famous beaches among tourists. It has white sand and a Ferris wheel also known as Sokcho Eye that you can ride on to see the beach from the sky. You can enjoy the sand beneath your feet, the smell of salt, the wind that brushes your cheeks, the wave that kisses the shore, and the ocean that makes you feel small.

First opened in 1976, Sokcho Beach is one of Korea's most popular beaches. It is located a short walking distance from Sokcho Express Bus Terminal, making it popular among tourists. The waters here are clean and shallow, adding to the popularity of this beach during the summer season. There are also many restaurants and convenience facilities located near the beach, as well as a small park with walking trails through a pine forest. Along the beach, visitors can find interesting and unique photo spots and sculptures. Busking performances and festivals also take place throughout the year.
Seorak Waterpia is a vast spa that offers both indoor and outdoor saunas, hot mineral-water pools, water slides, and wave pools. Unfortunately, a fire broke out on April 16th, 2019 which caused damage to some of the outside pools and rides. However, the staff at Seorak Waterpia were extremely helpful during this time.
I CAME AT 19.00 for night spa, it have indoor artificial beach with wave, and outdoor onsen with light illumination. Outdoor onsen give me a special impressive feeling. It is very worth for the price 26000 KRW per head. I rent swimming suit for 3000 KRW per each.

Tuesday 16/04/2019 the fire in the area burnt right up to the main entrance. Alot of the outside pools were damaged and all the outside rides were not working. But the people there and the staff were amazing, really helpful and cheerful. We went to ride the maestrom ride but you need 4 people for it, we were only two so two of the staff jumped in. My son loved it. Thanks

I visited with my daughter who is in 6th grade. I think this place is just right for the families with elementary school kids. Unfortunately the outdoor places except for spa Valley and the pool were closed after 6, we had to spend more time at the spa Valley. There was the pool party in the evening -I'm not sure if they do this every night though. It was Friday night when I visited.

I loved it. It is a clean area with different variations of pools. But my most favorite is barrels ( each for 2 people) with warm water placed outside, where you can enjoy the great view while being in the barrel.

Pretty decent waterpark for summer in korea. The facilities are okay. There is also a sauna which is pretty cool. There are also food and drinks available. I had wonderful churros and green tea latte at some random cafe near the changing room.

It was all really nice, but more than half of the attractions were closed, and we were not told beforehand and payed the full price. The only available slide was Maelstrom, which was too fast for the kids.
The Sokcho Lighthouse is situated on a steep cliff overlooking the East Sea and Seoraksan mountain providing breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Accessible by climbing a set of stairs, this attraction offers visitors an opportunity to enjoy panoramic views of the city and ocean free of charge. Additionally, there is a 'health checking gate' available which checks one's health status as they pass through pillars. Public washrooms are also available for visitors' convenience.
It was good point to enjoy and see a view of city and sea. There was a " health checking gate" available, you could check how thing you are passing through the pillars shown in the last photo.

Super brutal set of stairs up to the lighthouse, but totally worth it. The view was breathtaking. You get a pretty good view of all of Sokcho, from the mountains to the lake to of course the ocean. I'd recommend it even for people who struggle with the way up the stairs. It's really worth it. Free, too.

Daepo Harbor is a great place to get fresh seafood! It's famous for its king crab and tempura. You should travel with a group as most places don't serve single portions. But a group of 4 can eat some of the freshest food for about 60-100$. It's worth it. The people are kind and always inviting you in. Prepare to remove your shoes and sit on the floor when you dine.

The Younggeumjeong Pavilion is a stunning seaside structure situated atop a rocky outcrop, which can be accessed by an illuminated bridge at night. The pavilion offers beautiful views of the ocean and is conveniently located close to a fish restaurant and lighthouse. It also has an elevator for easy accessibility. Visitors can enjoy the fresh sea air, scenic sunrise, and clean waters during their visit. The Pavilion is a must-see attraction in Sokcho that should not be missed when touring the area.
Luckily, we went here during autumn. And it was not hot. Just bear in mind to bring your sunglasses.
This place is clean and not many people went here during that time. Really nice view from the pavilion. I saw many stalls and shops selling food, but I did not have enough time to try any food here.
Maybe I need to come back here again and spend my time walking on the street and buy food.

This was a lovely place. It's quite close to #jamesblue hostel and the walk there is quite enjoyable. It's close to a fish restaurant and to the lighthouse. It has an elevator for #acessibility. The view was amazing and the fact that I was there at sunset just made the experience even better.
If you're in Sokcho you should visit this place; it offers a nice view of the surroundings for only 2,500 won entrance. Unfortunately you can't buy any drinks or food for now. The park near the tower is great for slow walks and relaxation.
Melline Galani — Google review
It's quite worth to have a short stay here. We came here for the night view, but the time a bit early, so we also have some wall and rest at the park down the tower. The view of morning and night of the tower are different. So after became dark, we bought tickets and go up to see sokcho night view. It's very quiet when we there so we able took a lot of photos at upstairs and there's not so many people. After see the night view, we came down again for it's night time colored tower.

Some nice night views of the inner harbor/lake area of sokcho (didn't go at day) but as others have said, the outside of the glass could be clearer. This is not exceptionally tall (for those who fear heights) or expensive/crowded (for those who fear tourist traps). Price was 1500 won and there was no wait for elevators in either direction. At that price, it's definitely still worth a quick trip up!
Brian Reams — Google review
Entrance only $2, great video, beautiful park just across the street. It looks great at night!
Viviana Arroyo — Google review
It's 5,000 won to go up. Good view of the city and mountains, but there isn't much to see. It looks cooler from the outside than inside. If you want a nice panoramic view you'll get one, but I'm not sure it's worth it.
Dong Myeong Port is a lively harbor area that features a waterfront promenade, shore fishing opportunities, and an indoor complex of fresh seafood stalls. This bustling clam port is renowned for its many seafood restaurants where visitors can savor Korean-style cuisine. On top of that, the stunning night view of the harbor is simply breathtaking when the weather conditions are favorable. At the end of the breakwater stands a striking red lighthouse that adds to the charm of this picturesque location.
