The Fara Poznanska, a Catholic church in Poznan, Poland was built in the 1600s and has a pink facade. It was originally constructed for the Jesuits and took over 80 years to complete. The impressive baroque structure stands out with its ornamented facade and grand interior supported by massive columns. The church is filled with monumental altars and hosts weekly organ concerts. Guided tours are available for visitors to appreciate this historic landmark's beauty fully.
One of the most beautiful churches I visited. Extra props for the creativity with the holy water!

The Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Mary Magdalene and St. Stanislaus in Poznan, Poland is a magnificent architectural gem. The basilica is beautifully designed, with a grand exterior and a stunning interior that features intricate carvings and stained-glass windows. The basilica has a rich history, and it's a wonderful place to learn about the culture and religion of the region. The basilica is also known for its acoustics, making it an ideal location for concerts and other events. The atmosphere is peaceful and serene, making it the perfect place for reflection and meditation. Overall, the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help is a must-see for anyone visiting Poznan and is a testament to the beauty and richness of Polish culture and religion.

One of the best I've visited and probably the best in Poznan. Stunning. Definitely a must see when you are around the city.

This is probably the most beautiful church in Poznan; built in Baroque style between 1651 & 1701 it has survived largely intact despite Wars and occupation.
I love the huge supportive Corinthian Columns and the Frescos painted across the ceiling. The Side Aisles are also beautifully decorated along with the Nave.

A stunning church inside and out. The street leading to it is beautiful. Take care to see it from a distance.

One of the most beautiful cathedrals in Poznan. A good place to wind down and enjoy the peace and quiet of the atmosphere around you.

Extremely appealing exterior of the basilica. Inside is equally splendid. It draws your attention to every little details of paintings, sculptures and ceilings.

It worths to see inside and façade in terms of architecture rather than poznan cathedral .
The Poznans Croissant Museum is a museum dedicated to the history of baking croissants in a Renaissance tenement house. It features a live show where visitors can learn about the process of making croissants, as well as tastings.
The guys were extremely funny. They made people join their show. We watched a movie and one of the guys explained us the history of how it all began. The Croissant they give at the end was pretty tasty. Something to remember about this is... the art of sharing.

The Croissant Museum of Poznań is a living center of Poznań traditions and culture. It is located in the very heart of Poznań - on the Old Market Square with a view of the town hall tower with its goats.
A place you absolutely must visit if one day you come to the capital of Wielkopolska.
You will learn the technique of making this delicacy closely related to the history of Poznań. More! You will make a delicious croissant from scratch. This is my greatest delicacy from the moment I first visited this city and tried this deliciousness incomparable to anything else!

Fun and interactive. 100% recommended.
The museum features interactive displays, and tastings, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the world of croissants. It's particularly interesting to learn about the cultural significance of the st martins croissant.
The staff is knowledgeable and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. Whether you're a pastry aficionado or just looking for a unique and educational activity, the Croissant Museum is a must-visit destination.

***** AN ENTERTAINING MORNING *****

Admittedly, I had doubts about a “croissant museum.” Like, are there displays with hundred-year-old petrified pastries?
My opinion began to change when I saw a troop of schoolchildren leaving. Turned out to be a must-do in Poznań. It was a thoroughly entertaining and informative demonstration on the centrality of the Polish version of the croissant in Poznań history and culture. Highly recommended for anyone visiting this city.

Beautiful place, one gets to learn all about sainy Martin, and how historically the making of the saint Martin croissant started.
A beautiful fun and engaging sessions in both English and polish.
Highly recommend.
You can get to be a chef help guiding the story of the making of the croissant.

Buying tickets for the English show online was easy. The museum is in a beautiful building in the square facing the town hall, the entrance to the building for the show however is around the back. The staff are friendly, the show was brilliant. Interactive, very informative, and full of laughs. Great view of the clock and town hall from the room the show is held in.
There are hooks for coats if you don't want to take them into the room where the show is held and there are toilets available to use as well.
Nupur Carruthers — Google review
A good place to have some fun. It was a very nice show with a lot of interaction and a bit of a history. Everyone in the room had a chance to participate in croissant creation process. There was a lively atmosphere with a lot of jokes.
Olga Matskevich — Google review
It's more of a baking demonstration than a museum - but the host made it an entertaining hour. Some audience participation helps provide a few laughs, and you get a free sample at the end.

Just loved the experience. As a croissant lover I always wanted to know more about it and I was glad that we found a place to learn a lot about St. Martin's croissant. Learning with fun

At 2pm they offer an English tour, the host made an introduction on how it all started, explained that it all started for charity. He asked for 6 volunteers to help him out. While explaining the process how to do the croissants the volunteers did what he asked them to do, it was a lovely experience. Ended the tour by watching the fighting goats behind the clock. Finally he gave us a certificate and a piece of this exquisite croissants.

It was a hilarious and unexpected entertaining show. For all those who are scared to stand in front of people: the show is interactive but you are not obligated to participate. They ask for 6 persons to help and if there are more who want to, they can participate too. In any case, you can enjoy the show as a viewer or a helper. It is Definitely worth the money!!

Not a museum in the traditional sense, but you will learn about the local St Martin croissant through a one hour participative experience. You will need to select a language you understand, Polish or English otherwise you will not have a clue what is going on. A fun experience and a chance to sample a croissant at the end. 37 zloty. Arrive 5-10 minutes early. Toilets available. Window view of the goat fight at 3pm

Nice time to have some laugh and listen some story. The small piece of croissant serve there is really not my type of taste.😅

No idea why this is so highly rated. It’s not a museum and is over priced. The guys running it seem to think it’s a stand up comedy gig with a stream of inappropriate jokes, things that might have been considered funny in the 1970s... I wouldn’t recommend going here, consider going to one of the other, very interesting actual museums in Poznan. And just buy a croissant at one of the many bakeries.

I bought the tickets right there. I didn't wait too long. They have in Polish and English. Is about an hour. It was a live show and it was very funny🤣. The chef asked for volunteers and I was one of them. I had a great time with their explanations, jokes. We also saw the Goats from the window. At the end, the lady gave us fake certificates 😊 and half croissant to take with us, to taste. I recommend to visit.
Citadel Park is a large and greenery-filled park in Poznań. It's home to two war museums, a couple of cemeteries, and the iconic headless figures sculptures. The park is also great for kids as there is a playground next to a quirky restaurant called Umbreto.
Beautiful and full of history. You can visit all year around and never get bored with it. There are old military fort buildings and structures that are still accessible. There is also a military museum with the world war II exhibit (planes and tanks). The park is visited by bike raiders, runners, joggers and walkers. One of the nicest and coolest places and Poznań.

Visited Poznan last week. Sadly time didn't allow for a longer visit in the museum, but we enjoyed our walk across the river Warta along the glazed corridor with open views on both sides, friendly well informed staff at the museum shop and watching a few people clean the concrete steps on the river bank. The bicycle stands were icing on the cake for me - with my growing interest in street furniture.

I highly recommended this place. My kids, 5 and 3 years old, had fun with the interactive audio guide and felt excited to resolve all the puzzles. There's a kid play area on every floor, not very big but interesting and friendly enough to attract my 3-year-old kid.
The view of the outdoor surrounding area is fabulous. We enjoyed the place a lot.

What began as my girlfriend and I just popping our heads in out of curiosity turned into a full hour learning about the history of Poznań, a very interesting history at that as Poznań is actually the birthplace of Poland. You get audio-guides to listen to and guide you around the exhibition. To add, once you do the main exhibition, you can go to another desk and get different audio-guides so you can do a guided tour of the nearby cathedral (which is beautiful). About two hours overall for us to complete both tours.

The museum experience was great. Very modern and engaging. The history of the entire country is well explained. Worth a visit for those who are interested in learning about Poland's and Poznan's history. The tour is available in many languages such as English, French or German. The price is very cheap.

Really excellent high tech multimedia exhibition taking you through the history of Cathedral Island and beyond. I would actually recommend coming here before visiting the Archdiocesan Museum or Cathedral as you'll pick up information from the audio guide and videos about both these places. The smart audio guide knows where you are and automatically plays a commentary for that area. Additionally if you more information about any exhibit you can point audio guide at the headphones symbol and press play. Good views from the terrace on the roof of the building and after you've completed your tour, head across the glass sides bridge to the Cathedral Lock.

This museum was fun, we didn’t have much in terms of expectations as we didn’t know the city very well but after visiting I think this is a must whilst you’re here. The architecture is also very cool and the overall curation space is very well conceived.

This is such a spectacular place words fail me! Simply put, one of the best curated musuems I've ever seen, spent three great hours here for a price that is a mere pittance
The fact that they put so much effort into telling the story of the city and of Poland and at the same time make this place entertaining for children deserves only applause
What I found surprising was that they manage the flow of torusists exceptionally well, very professional and amable staff
Everything here is modern, entertaining and informative
Toilets have sensors, seriously the whole place is dope!

Great museum! Got the tram from hotel here and walked about 5 mins to get to the museum. Can't remember cost of entrance but it was cheap and included audio guide and an audio guide for the cathedral also. Spent maybe 2 hrs here and really enjoyed it ! Very informative, interactive and fun! Nice observation deck near the end of self guided tour also. don't have kids, but it's great for kids with lots of kids educational play areas also! If in Poznan I wouldn't miss this one!

A wonderful contemporary building with an interactive museum that gave you an insight to the history of the city. The audio guide was informative and helped navigate you through the museum.
There’s also a rooftop viewing terrace which gives great views around. Watch out for the glass walkways if you’re not too fond of heights!

Strong 5 stars for the plants, not so much for the living condition of some of the animals. If, as I suspect there are no funds for improving them, the larger animals could just be removed, the experience would stay just as good.
Disagree with the review suggesting 30-45 minutes for a visit, I could have spent 2 hours easily were it not for the closing time. Plant addicts can do 3 by checking out the tags on each plant.

Lake Malta is a picturesque body of water that offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities such as running and cycling. It is accompanied by various attractions, and walking around it proves to be an excellent experience due to the lengthy, well-maintained path that is free from road noise. The area also boasts frequent benches and resting spots, along with some nearby eateries. You can relax on the lake's shore while enjoying bronze statues featuring local cultural themes or indulge in water sports activities.
Reminds me of Pancharevo ezero in Bulgaria, a very nice walk around, but even better because of the many things to do around. There's a train, two roads - strictly for pedestrians and one for bikers only, ice cream and some restaurants at the far end as well as a whole amusement park and a zoo if you continue a bit further, But it's fine even for just a walk. Takes about 1 - 2 hours depending on your tempo. I loved that they put an honour to the medalists!

The Ostrow Tumski Catholic cathedral is a beautiful, towering example of Gothic architecture. It has been rebuilt in various styles due to fires and raids, with portions still retaining remnants of the old styles. From Google Wikipedia:
( as I can't write it better)
The Archcathedral Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul in Poznań is one of the oldest churches in Poland and the oldest Polish cathedral, dating from the 10th century. It stands on the island of Ostrów Tumski north-east of the city centre.
The cathedral was originally built in the second half of the 10th century within the fortified settlement (gród) of Poznań, which stood on what is now called Ostrów Tumski ("Cathedral Island"). This was one of the main political centres in the early Polish state.

It is a nice historical place. Sadly the history is not really visible or explained anywhere. I feel it could use an audio guide or at least some board with a bit of info about it. Also accessing it on foot from the city center takes you through a busy noisy road which just takes away from the pleasure
Kamil Brzakala — Google review
Although the cathedral is quite a distance out of the city (20 minute walk or so), it's definitely worth a visit. It's the first cathedral to have been built in Poland, and the beautiful gothic façade contrasts with the more austere interior. Free entry for the cathedral itself, with paid access only being necessary for the crypts.

With it's cobbled streets and stunning churches, you definitely feel like you're stepping back in time.
Try to catch the tradition of lightning the street lamps around dusk.
A gem in the city's shining crown.

Probably the most interesting part of Wroclaw if you look for less touristy places. It is the oldest part of the town located withing walking distance from the main square. Great to wander around and to spot the lamplighter at dusk. He lights all 90 gas lamps every single days! Worth the wait....

One of my absolutely favourite places in Wroclaw!! Definitely a MUST SEE! Plus cause of it’s very central location incredibly easy to reach! It’s the oldest part of the city of Wroclaw. It was formerly an island between branches of the Oder River.
Archaeological excavations have shown that the western part of Ostrov Tumski, between the Church of St. Martin and the Holy Cross, was the first area to be inhabited. The first, wooden church (St. Martin), dating from the 10th century, was surrounded by defensive walls built on the banks of the river. The island had approximately 1,500 inhabitants at that time.
The first constructions on Ostrov Tumski were built in the 10th century by the Piast dynasty, and were made from wood. The first building from solid material was St. Martin's chapel, built probably at the beginning of the eleventh century by Benedictine monks. Not long after the first cathedral was raised, in place of the small church. Religious buildings appeared in Ostrov Tumski because during the Congress of Gniezno in AD 1000, it was decided to create a bishopric in Wrocław.

A fantastic place to visit , great architecture, wonderful churches that must a visit. Climb up in the Gothic Church for a wonderful panoramic view of the island and of the Old City. A couple of steps and an elevator will take you up. A must seen if you are in Wrocław.
By the way it’s an easy 10 min. walk from the Old Town of Wrocław

Very romantic spot, with beautiful walk ways.
Great architecture (churches)
The Museum of the History of Poznań is a beautiful institution with rich history that is on display for tourists in the town hall. The museum has many interesting exhibits that cover a wide range of Poznan's history, from prehistoric times to present day. The interior of the building is stunningly decorated with colorful paintings and intricate carved woodwork, and features a magnificent neo-Gothic clock tower.
Lovely place a must see are the bunting goats at noon. Be there early as the crowds can be large.
The National Museum in Poznań is a large and comprehensive museum displaying a wealth of Polish and European art from the past two centuries. Highlights include paintings by some of Poland's most renowned artists, as well as a wide range of antiquities and coins from around the world. The museum is home to an extensive collection of art from across Europe, with special attention paid to Polish pieces dating back to the 18th century.
Interesting museum with many paintings and sculptures all over the world. The most recognizable painting is Monet "Plaża w Pourville (The Beach at Pourville)". It was sealed some years ago and finally found and returned back to museum.

Visited without an expectation, but got very satisfied with the artworks and the curation. Not only that, the admission fee is really cheap compared to the quality of the museum.

Good Avanti Garde exhibition. Main museum - Painting description details too close to floor and text very small.
Sun beaming through windows in some areas reflecting on paintings making them difficult to see.

I have visited several major art galleries around the world and the National Museum in Poznan would have to be one of the best I have experienced in just the variety of art displayed alone. This includes the only Picasso in Poland.
Allow at least 3 hours to do this place justice and take everything in.

Very aesthetic and nice looking museum. Interesting and beautiful painting and even got to see one of Claude Monet's. The only downside is there are mostly paintings and not too much other stuff. Overall I would recommend it for painting lovers and art appreciators.

I was visiting the beautiful city of Poznan for a weekend and I saw this museum by a chance, near a square. I visited it and I loved it! A great collection, lots of amazing paintings. I will visit it again next time I go to Poznan from Berlin!

A very big museum with a wide variety of modern and traditional artwork from different time periods and places. Many of the pieces have historical importance. The entry ticket was very reasonably priced.

This is one huge place, didn't look like much at first but it's more than meets the eye. The collection features works by mostly Polish authors, second school to be represent is the German one, some Italian, Spanish and Dutch/Flemish as well. Most of the paintings don't have any explanation, just tags, with the important exception of Polish paintings from late 18th century, and it was my reason to visit. The contemporary art section looks really good but not my cup of coffee
The Centrum Kultury Zamek is a must-visit exhibition center that boasts an exceptional collection of art by renowned artists such as Frida and Diego, alongside other influential figures. The showcase includes rare photographs from the artists' personal travels, with Frida's drawings giving an insight into her creative process. There is also a copy of a lost painting on display. The cultural center has been impressively renovated and features various venues and exhibitions to explore, including a cinema for movie enthusiasts.
We checked out Antoni Gaudi exposition. His life, his inventions. It was short but very interesting. The workers there, even tho thry didn't speak English, were really nice to us!

The Poznan Stadium, a football arena constructed in the 1960s, was one of the host venues during the UEFA Euro 2012 championships. It is known for having one of the best atmospheres not only in Poland but also in Europe. The stadium boasts of stunning architecture and exceptional fans who create a thrilling ambiance during any game played here. The Ultras of Poznan add to this great atmosphere with their unwavering support for their team.
Best atmosphere in Poland if not in whole Europe. Beautiful stadium amazing fans high quality players just amazing!!!

Security staff were very efficient.

You to put things in perspective it’s not Anfield or even Old Trafford…but it’s not a bad stadium. Just more basic and than the aforementioned ones. I got a tour which was 30pln and was worth it. Although the tour was in Polish the guide almost gave me a private tour as the only English speaker. He was a star. Would love to go back for a match sometime hopefully my next trip will allow that.

Home of Lech Poznan, a 30 minute tram ride from State Miasto (6pln).
Cracking atmosphere generated by the Poznan Ultras in a stadium that's now starting to date a bit.
I was quite surprised by the number of small kids inside the ground so don't be scared of taken your young ones to a game.

One of the best football experiences in a very long time. The people of Poznan and fans of Lech Poznan are some of the friendliest I have seen when visiting a stadium for a big game. Even though Lech lost to Fiorentina 4-1, the fans were great, supporting their team through thick and thin and constantly cheering. The staff at the stadium were courteous and helpful and prices were very decent for both food and drinks as well as memorabilia. I will definitely be back in the future.

We went on the stadium tour. We booked via stadion Poznan website. We found the tour really good!! Our guide, Nicolas, was so attentive to us. He personally came up to us and translated everything he had said in polish to English. Excellent guide and answered all our questions.

The football stadium in Poznan is modern with decent facilities. The food options, while typical for a sports venue, are surprisingly decent. A solid choice for football fans seeking a contemporary experience.

One of my best memories when visiting Poznan. This stadium is beautiful! I did the tour, which was in Polish and I didn't understand anything but I understand the context. I was able to see the history of the club and also the dressing room. I was surprised that Lewandowski started here!

Great stadium where to watch a football match.
Seats are comfortable despite really near to each other.
The negative point is for the services: the bar has only hot dogs and nachos, nothing else, maybe I’m used to other European stadiums.

One of the greatest stadiums in Poland! Amazing atmospheres and great fans!

whole stadium is making terrible noises whenever winds blowing. waited 40 mins to get overpriced hot-dogs as a guest team supporter. cashiers weren't applying applicable rebates.
The Old Zoo, situated in the city center, is a smaller yet delightful zoological garden and park that features a pavilion for reptiles, fish, turtles and komodo dragons. Despite being an oasis of greenery amid traffic chaos, there were attempts to move the zoo animals out of the noisy and polluted city center many years ago. The effort failed due to rats from the zoo moving into surrounding houses.
Many years ago there was an attempt to move the old zoo animals out of the city centre and its noise and pollution. Apparently it didn't work at the time as it resulted in the zoo rats moving out too, and into the houses around.
When visiting last week I just enjoyed the green oasis in the middle of the traffic mayhem. Benches to sit on, free toilet. I would prefer to see animals live somewhere quieter.

Cute zoo, well worth the visit! It had so many different animals to see. The llamas were adorable. And so many turtles hanging around the pond. Loved it. Good activity to pass a few hours with friends, family, or even solo!

The old location of the Poznań Zoo, now serves as a large petting zoo and park, the entry is free. This makes it the perfect location to visit on a trip Poznań, especially if you have kids, they love petting the cows, sheep, goats, pigs and even geese, in this zoo. There's only 2 vendors at the entrance and no active zoo staff so you need to pay good attention to your kids.

Great place to spend time with a kids. Good to see that zoo is nicely maintained
DMTR — Google review
Small zoo that you can enter for free and stroll like a park. Most of the cages/houses are not in use anymore since they probably do not meet modern size standards. The reptile house (paid) is well worth a visit for its comodo dragon and geckos etc, even though most animals, especially the crocodiles, still have very little space. The new turtle house is a great addition and the foxes are lovely to watch.

Much smaller than the New Zoo, but located in the city center this is the oasis of greenery and an attractive park with several animals still hosted here. Compact, great for families and everybody who seeks some relax or likes observing the nature. Free entrance.

I love EVERYTHING about the Old Zoo, I honestly just love this place. You can watch amazing, exotic animals for free ❤️ there is also a pavilion (payed 6 zlotych/person) where you can see incredible fishes, frogs, snakes and other animals (except for mammals and birds - they are outside the pavilion). Being there is always amazing experience. You can sit on a bench, read book, watch animals and just enjoy the peace and calmness there 😊🍀

The Old Zoo in Poznań is a disappointing attraction that falls short of expectations. While it holds historical significance, the facilities are outdated and in need of renovation. The enclosures for the animals are small and don't provide adequate space for them to roam and thrive. Additionally, the overall atmosphere feels neglected and lacks the charm found in more modern zoos. Visitors are better off exploring other attractions in Poznań that offer a more enjoyable and enriching experience.
Krzysztof Hadrych — Google review
If you happen to be around, you may spend some time walking enjoy some fresh air. It is not a modern one just manage yours and your children's expectation.

I was here 4 year ago, and I found it’s better now. It’s still free entrance, but more animals. Food here is nice and cheap. Can’t complain.
The Monument to Cryptologists in Poznań is a significant historical landmark where visitors can learn about the enigma machine and the crucial efforts made by people to counteract the Nazis during World War II. It offers an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in decrypting ciphers while paying tribute to Polish cryptologists who played a pivotal role. Overall, this memorial deserves recognition as a must-see destination that highlights important events from history.

(Translated by Google) An interesting monument commemorating three Poznań mathematicians specializing in cryptology who discovered how to decipher messages encoded using the famous Enigma. The monument itself is interesting, but even more interesting - located next to the monument - is the so-called "Enigma Slayers" crypto-container, where every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. we can learn the basics of cryptography and the history of deciphering the Enigma for free. I recommend visiting both attractions :)

Polecam odwiedzenie obydwu atrakcji :)
