There are also places to stop for refreshments, but you should take something to drink, something to eat and sturdy shoes. The great thing is that everyone can decide for themselves how far or how long they go or hike. Also ideal for introducing smaller children to hiking. Our 5 year old daughter liked it.

Südtiroler Obstbaumuseum is an excellent museum for families, with a fun hidden object game and a separate children's area. The museum offers comprehensive information on the history and evolution of fruit growing from past to present. Entry fee is voluntary, allowing visitors to pay as much or as little as they wish. It is definitely worth a visit for anyone interested in learning about the fascinating world of fruit farming.
Nice museum with different explanations all around the apple, specially around the Southtyrolean apple. Smal kids can explore it by finden bee-stickers and the older ones answering questions.

A very impressive piece of history and well presented museum. Although one can only visit one level of this multi-level bunker structure when going on your own, you get a great idea of just how extensive a construction project this was in the 1940s. The tunnel seems to just keep on going!

The Church of St. John is a stunning Baroque chapel located amidst meadows and wooded slopes, complete with a frescoed facade and copper-domed bell tower. Visitors are encouraged to park near the farm and walk around to the church, being mindful of bringing coins for parking and admission fees. It's important to respect the natural environment by staying on designated paths when taking photos or exploring the meadow, while also refraining from flying drones in the area.
It is well worth a visit. I would recommend parking at the lower level, near the farm and then walking around the farm to the church. Keep some coins as the parking meter and the turnstile didn't accept notes or cards. 2€ for parking and 4€ person at the turnstile. To get a good photo, you'll have to walk across the meadow to the front of the church. Stick to the paths already on the meadow. Don't ruin the meadow for the people there. Drones are not permitted. Please respect the privacy of the residents in the area.
Pradeep Chandran — Google review
Got some pretty nice pictures thanks to wild flower season but all in all the view from the platform is better than up close.
To get to see it close its 4€ and they only accept cash so be ready for that.
Pro tip would be to use a longer lens like 85mm to get the mountains and the church in the photo together.
carolina kokk — Google review
I was very much looking forward to this church, as I've seen pictures of it on Instagram. However, I was quite underwhelmed. First, you cannot walk on the grassy field in front of it, only up close and inside, which you must pay for. There are also a few parking areas nearby, also paid for, to get some views of it from afar. It's all rather touristy. No drones allowed close to it either. It's likely not worth the drive to the village of St. Magdalena just to see it.
Paul Heller — Google review
The reason it looks isolated is because people are discouraged to walk on the meadow. Otherwise it is still quite touristic, cost 4 Euro just to enter the fence.
Ho?ng L? Giang — Google review
You cannot get close to it without paying some amount. The church looks bigger in the pictures than in reality haha you cannot walk on the grass. You can only step onto a little viewpoint where you take pictures, but overall the view is really lovely and I’m happy I was there.

Minh Long — Google review
Disappointing.
The church is a 40 min drive from Ortisei. Parking is 4€, plus 4€ more per person if you want to get closer beyond the gate, without getting inside, of course. Did Instagram ruin it and made it too popular thus the ridiculous fees? Most likely. It is pretty but not worth the effort in my opinion.
Delia Soto Mu?oz — Google review
Visually very nice as the church is unobstructed because it's in a vast field with a beautiful mountainous backdrop. There's not much else to see though. The perspective of the church from far and on an elevated vantage point is actually nicer than up close. We did walk around a little and had a coffee in a little place near by. Relaxing stop. It's easier to park farther down the road and walk up as it gets quite busy. And make sure to have cash for payment.

Also known as Church of St. Johann, this place is Instagram famous for a good reason. It's a beautiful church surrounded by by green meadows, lush trees and Odle peaks behind it.
If you'd like to enter the church or get close you'll need to head to the road to the Ranuihof Farm. There you'll find a gated entry point, where you have to purchase a ticket in order to enter. It costs 4 Euro per person. Bring small cash because the machine only accepts small cash and wont return change. I recommend paying the 4 euros as the chapel is very impressive and there is a series of paintings that tell the story of St. John.

I know this place is very Instagram famous but being honest; it’s nothing special. The easiest way to reach St John's church is to drive to the Val di Funes and park near the church. You can reach St Johann in Ranui with bus #340 from Bressanone to Brixen. You'll have to get off at the last stop: St. Magdalena in Ranui. Keep in mind, you will pay 4 euro for the car park and then 4 euro to enter the perimeter of the church and the church is closed. It’s good to take pictures here if you are early in the morning.

Beautiful spot with iconic views- the views I'd give 10/10, without a doubt.
My husband and I had a lovely time taking in the views and walking around.
Be mindful that the parking is sparse so if it's busy I can imagine it being difficult to get a spt. Also, you have to pay to get into the church, which is fine but the machine doesn't take card, so remember to bring coins!

Amazing place to visit.
Hiking in the forest, there are several routes we did 36😉

Beautiful hike. There are several routes to reach Odle refuge. We did 36 (found recommendations to start with 36 rather than 6) and upon reaching the refuge we decided to head back with 34 due to heavy rain (it's slightly shorter). Parking costs 8 euros but from 2pm it's 4 euros.

(Translated by Google) Somewhat demanding but this trail joins two very beautiful points full of nature and which you can do in a circular way in about 3-4 hours. You go through a couple of baitas (the second spectacular) with seats, games, etc. etc. with spectacular views and in a magical environment for the whole family

(Translated by Google) Very nice hiking trail. A bit strenuous at times, but doable. Not suitable for strollers. Breathtaking nature. To reward yourself after the strenuous effort, be sure to go to the Geisleralm.

Sehr schöner Wanderweg. Teilweise etwas anstrengend, aber machbar. Nicht für Kinderwägen geeignet. Atemberaubende Natur.

(Translated by Google) A wonderful hike where you always get a new view of the Geisler peaks.
Some sections of the route are a little more challenging as you sometimes only walk over roots. Wonderful nature.

The visitor center at Puez-Geisler / Odle-Puez Nature Park offers an interactive experience to learn about the flora and fauna of the Dolomites. The modern architecture is impressive, showcasing the beauty of the region. The mountains offer a range of walking and climbing trails suitable for all levels, allowing visitors to enjoy breathtaking views from every angle.
I can only comment on the children playground since it was closed when it went. Great playground for toddlers with slide and trampolin.

You visit for free, you touch the rocks and you have your first experience of the park: thanks to an aerial photograph of the park on which you can walk (felt slippers are supplied), you understand the orography of the area, you touch the rocks, animal skins, nests, plants, flowers.
The operator Marlene is very good as she illustrates the Puez-Odle natural park with the majestic Odle peaks and the Monte Putia massif, one of the most spectacular Alpine formations. The architecture of the Center is also beautiful and essential, a cube that fits harmoniously into the landscape (with another cube next to it for primary schools). All wood, glass and concrete.

Tutto legno, vetro e cemento.
The Mineralienmuseum Teis is an outstanding museum that provides excellent options for English speakers. The facility showcases a vast collection of crystals and minerals, which are breathtakingly beautiful. Visitors can explore the exhibits to learn more about these natural wonders, including their formation and characteristics. The museum offers a unique experience for those who are interested in geology or simply admire the beauty of nature. Overall, Mineralienmuseum Teis is an impressive attraction that is well worth visiting.
Fantastic place to bring kids and have them appreciate geology and nature. Museum itself is a small wonder for its assortment of earth minerals and geodes. But the real fun is the hike up a ravine and smashing rocks with the proper equipment and finding various geodes yourself. You will have a hard time getting your kids to leave. It's a fream come true for them, being free to smash rocks and the wonder of surprise when they find glistering geodes inside that they can keep.
Bring proper clothing and mountain hiking shoes. Be prepared to get wet and dirty.
Not suited for the mobility impaired.

For a small fee, you can buy a geoid and have it cracked to find amazing crystals inside. This year I found smoky quartz crystals inside my geoid. Extensive description with an interesting documentary suitable for children and adults. External excursion with guide in search of minerals was also carried out. I highly recommend it.

Once we arrived in Tiso, enticed by various signs with directions, we decided to take a tour of the mineralogical museum. We have no words to describe the beauty, order and care of the environment which, although quite small, contains within itself a world to discover. Great experience for children too. Definitely worth visiting!
