Lech am Arlberg is an upmarket skiing destination situated in the Bludenz district of Vorarlberg, Austria. It is a small mountain town located on the banks of the Lech River and belongs to the Tannberg district historically and geographically. However, from a tourism perspective, it is recognized as part of the larger Arlberg region.
Bregenz is a city situated on the eastern edge of Lake Constance in Austria. It serves as the capital city of Vorarlberg state. The Bregenz Festival, which takes place annually, is a significant cultural event that features music and opera performances at two distinct venues: the Seebühne floating stage located by the lakeside and the glass-front Festspielhaus. St.
Festspielhaus Bregenz is a contemporary and sustainable venue that caters to various types of gatherings, such as conferences, meetings, corporate events, cultural affairs or social functions. It offers an outstanding ambiance for performances akin to the finest opera shows witnessed by attendees. With its attractive location and suggestive surroundings, it provides a perfect setting for any occasion. The entire experience at Festspielhaus Bregenz is exceptional; from the music to acting and singing - everything is flawless.
We booked the premiere day for Madame butterfly one year ago. It was totally worth it! I strongly recommend people to visit their website which not only presents the 360 degree of stage set up, but also you get more information while clicking the button. The stage was extremely beautiful. We witnessed the background from sunset to darkness. With the music and the best singers, the end was also a highlight. The dressing code is business causal and most of people are well dressed. So make sure you look good for such a special night!

The festival center is good located. Close to railway station and there are a few car parks nearby. The center is open during the day so you can go there before the play and not only take a few shots but you can find your seat instead of looking for it before the play. I was on Madame Butterfly and it was super expirience. I recommend the festivale everyone. I can imagine that every opera played there must be increadable. Still there are a few downsides... Almoste nothing in English including subtitles during the play and informational folders. This festival was inaugurated in 1946 so maybe this is time to make it fully international. If you thing that you will buy e.g. magnet festival logo to put on you fridge - you are wrong. To wrap up... the play and it's organization were very good but there are a few things that can be do better. And I do not know where to gauge Bregenz itself. But, except activities connected with lake or with mountains there is nothing to do and Bregenz is a quite boring. And smoking in public is alowed there (I mean in Austria) and this is something that I cannot understand... Kind of darkages.

Really impressive and interesting building to host a sea theater. The place is big and has an event Centre and a nice seaside sitting. The shows seemed really fun although I didn’t visit during a show. I was told a lot of nice things about the performance. It’s really a nice place to visit. I loved the holidays relaxation atmosphere around the water.

The center is great! I have never seen anything like it! We saw live the stage for Rigoletto, which is the opera presenter there this year. The stager from the previous years are also very impressive! I definitely recommend a visit there if you are near Bregenz!

Although there wasn't any kind of programme it was magnificent and mind-blowing. It was even better if you saw the james bond movie which happens to filmed here. The stage was amazing. If I had to recommend one thing to visit in Bregenz it would be this

Possibly one of the great opera venues of the world, fantastic stage setting, fantastic sound and amazing lighting, this is my 5th year in a row for this festival and will continue to return

Beautiful location, with a gorgeous view over the lake, the food is tasty and the portions are big, prices are more than faire, and the staff is really friendly and helpful. Totally recommend it!
The parking facility near Pfänderbahn cable car is an excellent starting point for visiting the Pfänder Alpine Wildlife Park. Visitors can enjoy a stunning panoramic view from the top, which includes Bodensee and Bregenz. It is recommended to purchase a one-way ticket to reach the summit and then walk back down to the city to fully appreciate the experience. The cable car ride itself is easy and provides breathtaking views as it ascends higher into the mountains.
Great Experience! Short trip to Bregenz or from Bregenz. We can only recommend it! Nature & recharge

Great place to visit if you're in Austria. The cable car is 1 big cable car that is shared with others at the same or similar time as you. Not a long ride, 5 minutes to the other side and you can nice views. When you reach the other side you can come straight back or you can get off and explore as there is mountains where you can do skiing there, there is also a kids playground area there which was useful for the kids. There is a wildlife park with small animals you can enter this as it comes with the ticket option if you chose this option. Good prices as I was expecting more. For 2 kids and 2 adults it cost £27 cable car and back and to see the wildlife park.

Good place to visit ! You can get a breath taking view from the top. Although would recommend you to buy a ticket only one way either upwards to the summit and enjoy the stroll while returning to the city

Pretty nature hike with magnificent views at the summit. Choice of several restaurants to lounge around for a bit on top. Always good food and nice atmosphere. The hike took around 1hr 20min from the base (near the cable car station), moving at a moderate pace, stopped 3-4 times for a minute or two. About 50 minutes coming down, give or take.

The Cabel car experience was very good. It was quite crowded as it’s summer and we had to wait for a long time for our turn to come. The ride was quite good and the view of the whole Switzerland was amazing.

Stunning view over lake Constance and Bregenz city. You can take a cable car round trip for 10.60 Euro which is part of fun or use your own car to go up there to view point. Amazing experience over the cloud:)

Great attraction for the family. Very convenient to take the fresh air when it's hot at the lake. It's particularly adapted for mountain bikes to the top of the mountain. The view at the top is spectacular. There ard numbers of walks available from the top. The free animal park at the top is great to see the Alp's wildlife.
The waiting time is pretty small.

Superb! A great cable car! Easy to embark and great view of Bodensee and Bregenz from the cable car as it goes higher and higher. Awesome view from the top.
The Pfänder mountain peak offers a variety of outdoor activities and scenic views of the surrounding landscape. Visitors can ride cable cars, explore hiking trails, and take in panoramic vistas of mountains, valleys, and villages. Hiking from Lochau towards Am Stein provides a steeper but rewarding route with stunning views after approximately 20 minutes. Additionally, it is an ideal spot to enjoy a typical Austrian drink while admiring the scenery.
Vraiment à faire. Super parc pour les enfants. Nous avons pris le téléphérique pour la monté et ma descente se fait facilement à pied, avec pleins de chose à découvrir.. super ludique pour les enfants. Vue imprenable en haut.

There is no skiing now here which is a great shame as years ago it was so much fun, just walking, nice restaurant for a hot gluwein or coffee or a bite to eat ( fairly expensive) good attentive staff. I'm Gluten free ( coeliac) but nothing to eat so a Gluten free menu would be amazing as could only watch others tuck in 🙃

A very beautiful and quiet place, overlooking three countries: Austria, Switzerland and Germany, you can see the top of the Alpine mountain range, you can go up on foot or through an air lift that costs 15 euro to go up and down or 8euro to go up or down only. A place I recommend to any tourist to visit

Perfect place for families with young kids .
Breathe taking view, playground 👍, also friendly staff at the restaurant + small toying section for the kids. Although you must hike up to reach the restaurant ( please go without a stroller to the restaurant 😂 you can thank me later) food is a really big portion and yummy.

Very nice mountain for a hike. You can also take the Sailbahn. The hike is not an easy one with steep roads. You need to gain almost 600meters from the bottom which was hard for me ;) the place is amazing and offers the best view of Bodensee from the top. Sunsets are really cool to watch from the top. Must visit !

Karren is a mountain peak that can be reached via gondola and offers spectacular views of Lake Constance and the Rhine Valley. It features a restaurant, hiking trails, and multiple walking routes to explore once you reach the top. The scenery from Karren is breathtaking on a clear day and there's even a great selfie spot for visitors to capture their experience. The breakfast buffet at the restaurant is fantastic and brunch with a view at an altitude of 900 meters is especially stunning.
Nice panoramas and variety of hiking trails for the whole family. Remember to grab a map with recommended trails at the cable car station!

Nice place that has the best view in Dornbirn overlooking the whole town . The restaurant is so classy and nice . They have nice view all over the town . The service was good and the team is friendly . Their prices are fair in comparison to the location and the design of the restaurant. You can reach by cable car or by hiking . Amazing view with great 'selfie point'. We booked a table for the breakfast buffet which was fantastic. Brunch with a stunning view at 900-ish metres altitude.
We then had a beer outside and then made our walk down. You can take the gondola back down but on a sunny day it's nice to walk down the mountain. Takes about 2 hours if you take breaks for the views. We also had kids and an elderly with us and they all made it despite some quite steep parts.

From the paid parking you go directly up to the mountain where you hear the sounds of falling and running water right away. The paths are well maintained and give you a great view on the gorge and nature. On a sunny day there’s plenty over shade from the surrounding trees.
The route is partially under construction and was unclear if we could go around to make it back to the parking or not. So after an hour we took the same road back.
Its not stroller friendly, so we carried our baby and toddler all the way up (and down).
We had a (very good) home made ice tea at the cafe at the beginning.

I knew from the photos I saw before I travelled to Dornbirn that I wanted to visit this landmark. If you are coming here I recommend the number 47 bus from Dornbirn station. The gorge was worth the journey. I was amazed by the size and beauty of the all rivers, rocks and trees. Autumn is coming and the golden colours of the leaves were just starting to come thorough. It was spectacular. I decided to take the route round the Kraftwerk Ebensand then up to Karren but I warn you it was tough going taking almost 3 hours and I was not prepared nor did I have sensible shoes.
The Jewish Museum of Hohenems is a remarkable exhibit that delves into the history of the Jewish community in Hohenems and its environs. This museum offers an extensive overview of their history, including their presence in the region from the seventeenth century to how they were affected by and survived through the Holocaust's aftermath. The museum provides an exceptional learning experience that focuses on this specific area's history rather than general Jewish culture and traditions.
Plenty of history in Dornbirn. Great museum to visit.

Really excellent and museum, super informative. I've been to lots of Jewish museums and this is one of my favorite; learned a lot of new things. Doesn't focus to much on general Jewish history and culture and instead discusses the history of the region in particular.

We found the museum by chance trying to get to Altach before a football match... However with an afternoon to spare, this was an absorbing way to spend a few hours, particularly as we have family which had to leave Austria in the 1930s (from Lockenhaus in Burgenland). The Hohenems Judisches Museum is superbly curated and presented in a way which holds ones interest throughout. it is tragic that the town needs a museum to remind the world of its once thriving Jewish community but this particular museum does it with great dignity and Care.

One of my favorite things about living near Feldkirch is coming here. The views are beautiful and it makes for a nice walk. However, if you are not a fan of screaming children, this place should be avoided... at least on the weekends. The only complaint I have that could be changed is the enclosure for the lynx; why have the most solitary, shy animal right next to the playground, with the aforementioned screaming kids? This is probably why I have only seen the lynx twice in the 12+ times I have visited. This noisy environment is not suitable for such an animal. Keeping the kids on one side of the property and the animals on the other would get this park 5 stars from me ;)

An enchanting park inhabited by a variety of wild creatures awaits you. Pets friendly. Among the sightings are majestic ibexes, graceful deer, elusive wild boars, vibrant grouse, and even intriguing raccoons, donkeys, wolves, and lynxes. Just a brief distance prior to reaching the wildlife park, you'll find a parking area (note that the approach involves an uphill ascent). The circular trail around the lake offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely walk. During winter months, snow shoes and trekking sticks are recommended as parts of the trail can be slippery.

If you start from the right side after getting off the lift, you will face a bit of uphill towards the end of the hike but nothing difficult. Pretty flowers you can enjoy all around the lake, mesmerizing incredible colors of the water, and diverse shapes of rocks you see all around. One of my favorite lakes in the region!

Its amazing place to visit. If you are going in winter, you must wear snow shoes and carry Trecking sticks for support. Some parts are really slippery and can not be climbed without accessories.

Unbelievably beautiful area. Can recommend factoring in more time for the walk than what the signs say as you will probably want to stop for pictures and taking in the views
Alena Litin — Google review
Really beautiful!! About 2 hours walk around the lake. If you start from the left side, it is an ascent walk to a great view. Then it is mostly flat.

Very impressive trip and we have even met marmots.

Such a beautiful lake. We hiked from the car park which was quite challenging and rocky, so make sure you have hiking shoes if you want to skip the cable car! The hike around the lake is beautiful and easy. 100% recommend if you are passing the area!
Note: it is quite chilly up here so make sure you have lots of layers!

Breathtaking lake surrounded by beautiful mountains! The circular trail around the lake is easy to walk. If you want to take the footpath to the lake, you need well-fitting hiking boots.
Jacqueline Kuch — Google review
Spectacular lake at the top of the cable car. That day I saw it in thick fog as well as clear skies. You can see the mountain reflection when it is sunny. The trail around it is amazing especially the left circular route from the cable car

Place itself is amazing, BUT ! Avoid weekends definitely !!!! Because is insanely overcrowded, you will have problems to find parking spot, and expect to wait in a long long line more then 1 hour to buy ticket.
Once you are on the top ...you will enjoy it definitely

No word to describe, it’s so beautiful, wonderful, fantastic like a fairy tale 🤩😘 ⛰️

Good easy walk around a lake with turquoise water. The place is nice but looks like it was an artificial spot built for tourism. Overall, nice for a chill weekend walk.
A few people come here for fishing. Parking is packed on the weekend.
Lünerseebahn is a beautiful area to spend an afternoon, offering a scenic walk around the lake. The round tour is best done counter clockwise to tackle the climb first. The trip takes about 1.5 - 2 hours and halfway there's a small cabin for resting and enjoying food and drinks. Local wildlife, including friendly cows and possibly woodchucks, can be spotted along the way.
The most beautiful experience and view, definitely it's a must to see. Highly recommend it

It will certainly be beautiful with nice days, but if there are such clouds I would turn around next time because then there is really nothing to see other than just a cup of coffee in the restaurant🤭. Unfortunately, this was not mentioned to us when purchasing the tickets. Only afterwards did we see that they also had a live cam on the website. Anyway, we learned from this experience

Super! Be prepared for thick fog and its sudden disappearance. A lot of snow around Lünersee still in May. A short but cool ride uphill@

Unbelievable view. Easy to enjoy short hikings even with small kids (8 and 3 years old). I recommend to check local weather and webcam of the peak carefully to pick a sunny day/moment to enjoy the colors to full.

Beautiful surroundings, high in the mountains. Reservoir with many rock formations and high surrounding mountains. With cable car (gondolas for 60 people, 12 euros or free with wild card) the last meters were covered and a height of 450 meters was bridged. Large parking lot at Dalst station. You can also go up by foot, but it is steep and takes about 1 hour

Beautiful lake. One of the most beautiful must say in eastern Alps. Cable car price is little high €18.90 up and down. But the beauty is uncomparable. Definitely will recommend.

Vroeg starten i.v.m parkeerplek. Gondel naar boven. Prachtige wandeling langs het stuwmeer. Eerst zwaarder parcour? Uit de lift linksaf. Op de helft van de route drinken en eten. Prima te doen in 2/3 uur

Start early due to parking space. Gondola to the top. Beautiful walk along the reservoir. First more difficult course? Turn left out of the elevator. Drink and eat half of the route. Easy to do in 2/3 hours

Great spot. After quick ride up the cable car there are plenty of trails to choose from in excellent condition.

Nice area to spend your afternoon and walk around the lake. The round tour is best walked counter clockwise so the heaviest part (climb) is done first. Total trip time is 1.5 - 2 hours. Halfway there is a small cabin where you can sit and eat food and drink beers. Local wildlife are visible and a cow or two can be in your way, but they are friendly. If you are lucky around the cabin some Murmeltier (woodchuck) can be heared and seen in the sun (if you are lucky).
Parking at the top is 4 euro per day, and a bit lower free for all. Camping is not allowed, and traveling up the dam is recommended to use the elevator since altitude is really high.
On the day is a restaurant with a small menu, the service is decent and quickly.

The Vorarlberg Museum, which underwent a 34 million renovation over three years, reopened in June 2013 and garnered much positive feedback for its new white cuboid structure adorned with approximately 16,656 flowers made of PET bottle bases embedded in concrete. The permanent exhibits at the museum delve into the history, art and architecture of Vorarlberg while also showcasing rotating exhibitions such as the recent one on Bregenzer Festspiele and mining in the Eastern Alps.
Very cool exhibit, the staff is friendly and helpful

A museum featuring various installations and local history. If you're not careful you may end up taking a few hours to see everything that's exhibitioned because there's a lot to see. The architecture of the whole building is incredible as well! Worth a visit if you're interested in art, local history and various other types of art.
winke — Google review
The view room on the fourth floor is breathtaking, the forward art expression intersect the entire museum.
Zachary Hong — Google review
Mix of temporary, general-interest exhibitions and permanent installations focused on local history. Both the architecture and exhibit style is state of the art; the archaeological section has been made especially child-friendly and immersive. A "secret" panorama room on the top floor gives a great view of happenings on the promenade and across Lake Constance. Overall the experience is varied and enjoyable not only for the exbihits themselves. The Vorarlberg Museum is a much easier way to pass time on a wet afternoon than the Kunsthaus. The ground floor cafe is always very lively and in a great location for people-watching.

The Rectory St Nicholas Cathedral in Feldkirch boasts a slender spire and an expansive interior, characterized by late-Gothic elements and stunning stained glass. The side altar features a painting by celebrated local artist Wolf Huber, who was part of the renowned Danube school. This church is known for its serene atmosphere and beautiful stained glass windows, which add to its overall charm and appeal.
A very beautiful cathedral. Gothic architecture is simply mesmerizing. The columns and vaults of the church create a fantastic pattern. It seems that these are magnificent flowers on tall stems. We got to the church in the evening, when some kind of event was to be held there. A chamber ensemble played, candles were burning on the seats. The atmosphere was very poetic, sublime. I am delighted. I would like to visit this church again.

A very interesting snapshot of life in the Alps in Kaufmann's time. The building is fascinating, the artefacts intriguing, I loved everything being made of wood, even the clock's gear wheels. There was not so much evidence of Angelika, but it was definitely a good visit, I recommend it. A small exhibition of her work was interesting especially the portraits of her throughout her life.

The Schlosswirtschaft Schattenburg is a charming eatery located in a 13th-century castle with striking red turrets and overgrown vines. It requires an uphill climb to the ramparts, which offer sweeping views of Feldkirch's rooftops. Once home to the Montfort counts, it now houses a museum featuring religious art, costumes, and weaponry. The restaurant itself is situated in the castle's inner courtyard and provides both indoor and outdoor seating options - reservations are suggested.
Man, whoa ... You really can eat like a king at this castle. The Schnitzel was the Shnitz. My family had a great time and the seating was so nice tucked away by a small window. Two thumbs up.

Strange experience for a Saturday night.
We booked at 8pm. The waitress was in a hurry. As soon as we were seated, the order was placed. Apéro, starter and main course served at the same time and immediately after ordering! She rushed to clear the table when my friend hadn't finished.
We had our Saturday night dinner In only 30 minutes time..
The kitchen seems to stop at 9pm and it looks like they have to close even the restaurant is crowded.
This restaurant is probably a good deal if you want to eat fast, but not cool to enjoy your Saturday evening diner with friends.

Lack of team work. Asked female for desert menu when she collected empty plate. Some time later asked a male waiter for desert menue. Later called out loudly as most seem blinkered rather than multitasking to take my order. Got angree later as I could see my desert on the delivery table not moving...no one know what table it was for...

Beautiful old castle, the restaurant is located in the inner court. Indoor and outdoor seating both available - reservations are recommended! Excellent 30cm pork escalope, called Schattenburg Schnitzel! Very old-fashioned waiters and the vibe of some old era... Especially because no credit cards accepted, so be prepared!

An extraordinary location, with a beautiful view. Very large portions, very tasty food. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant. Waiters very kind and intuitive. Reasonable prices. We will return to this location for sure. It is worth trying the biggest breaded pork portion (schnitzel). It's very tasty and it's a chalange to finish it.
