The Museo Archeologico "Ferruccio Barreca" - MAB Sant'Antioco Sardegna may be small in size but it boasts a wealth of historical artifacts and information. Visitors can combine their visit with other archaeological sites such as Tophet, Necropolis, Acropolis, Ipogeo and Vine Museum. The staff provides a brief introduction (in Italian) and share intriguing details about the area's rich history.
Very clean and nice building. Only few people visits so it is quiet.

It's a small museum, but it has a lot of history to tell!
We combined the visit with the other archaeological sites (Tophet, Necropolis, Acropolis, Ipogeo, Vine Museum).
The staff did a brief introduction (in Italian) and explain us a lot of interesting things about Sant'Antioco and its archaeological finds.
We didn't have a lot of time to see every detail, but you can spend here a couple of hours to learn the history of the island.

Very good regional archeiligical museum with many information about local ancient history. The phoenician tophet is a part of the museum.

One would not expect much from an almost unknown museum in such a small town.
Hence we had a great surprise with this nicely set up museum, where, among other things, one can observe a stunning amount of Phoenician vases and ornaments and a wonderful couple of lions that make a link with the art of Assyrian and Babylonian civilizations that you can admire in the British Museum, depicting the Mediterranean as a great cultural bridge already 3 millenia ago.
The museum attendant was also friendly and helpful. Texts are available in Italian and English. There is also an audio-guide but we did not use it.

Rich Indoors exhibition of local archeology. Mostly 9th century and on, lots of finds from Phonecian period, including jewelry, inscriptions in ancient Hebrew/Phoenician letters, temple/cemetery of children and sacrificial tombs. Unique.

Great museum, does a great job of explaining the exciting settlement history of Sulki aka Sant'Antioco, spanning nuragic, phoenician, punic, roman and post-roman history. The content displays are insightful, the artefacts are well contextualized and there are also nice visuals of the town in the different stages of its history. Even the kids weren't bored, which says a lot for a museum

Small and very rich archeological museum. Exhibits from prehistoric periods until classical Rome. Emphasis on Phoenician and Punician settlements in Sardinia. Very interesting. Near the "Tophet", where children were sacrificed according to Paganic beliefs. Wow!

The Passeggiata del Belvedere di Nebida is a spectacular viewpoint that offers breathtaking views to its visitors. The place is highly sought after by photographers because of its west-facing location, which provides excellent opportunities for capturing stunning sunsets. Additionally, it boasts a wonderful coastline and is particularly magical during the sunset with panoramic views of Laveria Lamarmora and Pan di Zucchero.

(Translated by Google) Spectacular viewpoint, leaves visitors breathless.
Stunning at any time of the day or night, but one of the most magical moments is the sunset with a view of the Laveria Lamarmora and Pan di Zucchero.

Belvedere spettacolare, lascia senza fiato i visitatori.
Stupendo in qualsiasi momento del giorno o della notte, ma uno degli istanti più magici lo regala il tramonto con vista sulla Laveria Lamarmora e Pan di Zucchero.

It really is a pleasure here

(Translated by Google) If you are passing through at sunset it is worth stopping for an aperitif (even a DIY one, as in our case) on the promenade of the Nebida viewpoint, in front of the famous Pan di Zucchero rock stack. The atmosphere is more beautiful than the sunset itself.
The illuminated writing above the hill was absolutely rejected.

The Museo dell'Arte Mineraria offers guided tours in both Italian and English, providing visitors with an opportunity to learn about the mining industry in the Iglesias region. The museum used to be a mining school and showcases the local history of the industry. It is recommended that visitors call ahead to arrange a tour on days when the museum is closed, as short notice tours are possible.
The museum is located in the very center, where free parking is quite difficult to find. That's why we chose the parking lot of the retail chain and with some luck found the entrance to the museum. The museum consists of three large halls, in which showcases with specimens of minerals, fossils and industrial archaeological finds are exhibited. The museum collection includes almost 3,800 mineralogical, petrographic and fossil finds from all over the world, enriched by a collection of around a hundred archaeological finds originating from mining activities, from the Nuragic, Phoenician-Punic, Roman, Pisan and Aragonese medieval periods.
A collection of finds that represents the identity of the Iglesiente area and brings together didactic, mineralogical and paleontological collections composed of local minerals and fossils and specimens from deposits spread over a regional, national and global territory. OK, it's "information from the web", so I'm not adding my own knowledge. Thanks for the info. Worth a visit. VERY, VERY, friendly staff!!!! Thank you for your engagement and effort. In any case, everything was OK. We recommend!!
