Belvedere House Gardens & Park is a stunning estate that features a Palladian-style villa from the 1700s and Victorian gardens with charming follies. The highlight of the park is Belvedere House, an enormous 18th-century hunting lodge designed by Richard Cassels, which overlooks Lough Ennell and boasts exquisite rococo plasterwork in its upper rooms.
We had a fab afternoon visiting Belvedere House and Gardens. The place was absolutely beautiful and so well maintained. The fairy garden was the best we have ever visited. Our kids were in their element! The only downside was we didn't have enough time..we happily could have spent the whole day. We will definitely be back.

We spent 4 hours walking about this wonderful house, lake and woodlands.
Specimen trees, abundant with wildlife, statues and hidden and not so hidden surprises litter these grounds.
Well worth the entry price of €8... €6 for my generation!

Well worth a visit. You can book your ticket online, choosing the time of arrival. There is plenty of parking. The folly itself is very impressive, with the visitor centre and cafe built into the folly. The story behind its construction is the most interesting part, one angry brother blocking a view towards another angry brother's house (you can't choose your family!!) There is plenty to do once you're inside, tho note the house itself is closed for renovations. There are a series of walks of varying lengths. For smaller kids there is a decent playground, a fairy garden and a woodland swing (literally one swing down by the lake). The walk along by the lake is worth doing, some lovely views and it eventually loops back around to the walled garden, fairy garden and restaurant. The walled garden was possibly a bit run down, but note we visited in winter. A lot of the signs were fallen and broken etc. We finished up with a bite to eat in the cafe. Food was good.

We had a fantastic time shooting with a beautiful couple in the midst of a serene forest and sparkling lake on a crisp, cold day just a few days before Christmas. The scenery was breathtaking and the couple's love for each other shone through in every moment. It was such a joy to be able to capture these special memories for them to cherish forever. It truly felt like a winter wonderland and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting for this photoshoot.

It's a beautiful place to visit for nature lovers... Loads of walking to do and can take up to 2 to 3 hours to fully explore the place. 23 euros for a family of 4 which I felt is worth. The horticulture area mainly pertaining to the plants were well kept but the water bodies require a little more attention. I was amazed at the collection of beautiful flowers they had in. The fairy garden was cute but was small. We were there by 0430pm, but there were unusually tonnes of tiny flies which I was afraid would hit our eyes or nose. Absolutely loved the place, however was disappointed that the Belvedere house and cafeteria closes by 5pm even when the whole premises stays open until 8pm for the season.

Belvedere House and Gardens is the most magical of places. Beautiful walks along the lakeside in summer and the nicest place to view autumn leaves in a woodland setting. The house itself is very interesting and it has a lovely cafe attached for breakfast / lunch. Well worth the visit!

Had a delightful experience walking the grounds, the park and the house itself. It's an oasis of calm and serenity. You will fall in love with the beauty of nature and don't leave without a taste of the sumptuous food at the indoor Café. The girls were welcoming and service was superb. I loved every minute!

Nice place for a walk, picnic or family time. Adequate parking spots. There is a cafe inside, washrooms and children's play area inside the visitor centre. We went for family picnic with friends at the start of Feb so the garden wasn't blooming.
For me it is not worth a second visit when you have to pay 23 euros as a family entry fee, only for the sake of just the above!

We took a walk through the beautiful grounds and garden at Belvedere today in the spring sunshine. It's a peaceful and very impressive place to take a walk, enjoy beautiful lake views, tour the house and enjoy the gardens. There is also a cafe, bathrooms and other facilities.

I'm a sucker for estates and their garden parks. Even if it's raining, I love to wander around. My favourite were the walled garden and the octagon "teahouse". But I enjoyed the little stream that ends in the loch as well

Nice area for a walk around, Good amount of space - would be especially nice in the spring and Summer months. Interesting to read about and see the jealous wall. The house itself is under repair, so there is a slight reduction in cost (€7). There's a cafe there in the entry area which is nice for grabbing a coffee for the walk.

My niece and I had a wonderful evening at Land of Light. The lights were great, the music atmospheric, and the funfair/treats at the end added to it all. Well done to the organisers

Amazing place rich in nature and peace. Great spot for a family getaway with nice garden and beautiful lake view and pleasant streams. Lot of trails to cover. The house is full of history and the wall of jealousy is a real folly. The fairy garden is a hit with my kid. Absolutely delightful to visit, highly recommend. The cafe is amazing as well. Parking is spacious.

O'Meara's Garden Centre boasts a vast variety of pricey yet beautiful plants, pots, decorations, and indoor/outdoor furniture. Visitors will find everything they need here although it is advisable to bring a substantial amount of money as the prices are steep. There is no cafe on the premises but they offer clean restrooms and ample parking space. The store also has friendly staff and an extensive selection of products ranging from trees to furnishings catering to all tastes and budgets.
Lovely garden centre. Big selection of plants and huge selection of trees. Lots of furniture and decor to choose from as well. Immaculately clean toilets on the premises. Loads of parking. Definitely worth a visit.

LOVELY AND EXPENSIVE.
A great selection of plants, pots, ornaments, indoor and outdoor furniture.
You certainly should visit this garden centre as it has virtually everything you need. I would however recommend you bring a thick wedge of cash !!
PS

Good quality plants, and great advice from all the staff if needed. The garden furniture section is amazing, high end though but the end of season sales are good. Regular gardening advice slot on the Will Faulkner show on Midlands103 for the keen gardener. Worth tuning in to it

Mollie Moo's Pet Farm is a fantastic destination for those seeking fun activities both indoors and outdoors. The farm offers abundant opportunities to feed various animals, as well as an array of tractors to drive around. Visitors can also enjoy the captivating miniature village, which could easily occupy several hours of exploration. The coffee shop serves delicious homemade treats, including great cups of tea. Children will particularly enjoy the playground, providing entertainment for a good while!
Great time here with my wife and 4yo daughter. A beautiful farm, run by a really nice family. Lots of animals (they give you food to feed them), all within a short walk. We were lucky to visit 30 minutes after a baby calf had been born. Great extra features including go carts and an indoor playground. Would highly recommend.

Very well maintained. Staff were very nice. Its not great value for money but the kids loved it which is the main thing. You can pet the animals which was great for them. Very good for covid. Hand San everywhere, and you feel safe.

Looks like a family owned business and looking forward to visit again. Very neatly maintained. They charge 27 euro for a family of 3. Could spend a whole day here. They have their own cafe which is really good.

We had the most gorgeous time in Mollie Moo’s recently. A really incredible experience for families, beginning with the lovely shop and cafe. Through to the lovingly cared for animals and endless fun in the sandpit, playground and indoor play area. I work in Tourism and have been to my fair share of such places but I genuinely felt this was one of the best experiences we have had. The standard and detail gone to create this experience is amazing. Congratulations Linda, Gerry and family. Thank you for your welcome, warmth, kindness and helping us make unforgettable memories 👌 x
I wish I had more photos to share but we were having to much fun!

Wonderful first time here today with wife and 2 kids 5 yo and 3yo. Great facilities here and more than enough to kill 3 or 4 hours, and at a very reasonable price too. 3 or 4 playground areas with slides swings and climbing frames and a huge sand box. Min golf and a big snakes and ladder too. Loads of ride ons and go karts to keep kids happy and under shelter too so usable regardless of weather. Loads of interactions with the animals too for kids to get close, especially the furries. Animals have good size paddocks and a wide variety of animals too. Coffee in the cafe was very good quality. We didn't have any of the food from the cafe but there are tonnes of picnic benches and options to sit all under canopies. Family run business with all members pulling their weight, had great conversation with owner today, really encouraging. Will 100% be returning and bringing as many as I can. all the signs are in irish too which I am a huge fan of, really interested my kids

I was there yesterday with my friends children. What a little piece of pure bliss just outside of mullingar. We had fab food. Got to meet santa who sang with us.... and of course, the animals. Exceptionally run family business, which I love and will return. Thank you for the children's first Irish experience of Mollie Moo's pet farm and it won't be the last.

Our second visit to Mollie Moo’s and we meet the most patient and kind Santy…..
Visited earlier this year also, very relaxed and kid friendly experience. No time limit or rush and not overcrowded which is esp important for the smaller kids.
Great family run business and lovely owners will visit again soon!
