The Confederation Centre of the Arts is a cultural destination that showcases various forms of visual and performing arts, with a focus on Canadian heritage. Visitors can expect an array of eclectic shows and exhibits that highlight local talents from Charlottetown as well as Quebec. One popular attraction is the Confederation Players Walking Tours where actors dress in historical costumes to bring Canada's history to life.
Saw an amazing show here in the summer (Old Stock). They were so well organized with tickets and covid protocols. We not only had an amazing musical experience in a beautiful theatre, but appreciated how comfortable and safe the entire experience was.

We went to go see Anne of Green Gables the musical. It had been a while since i’ve been to a live musical! The performers were amazing and the show was spectacular! However leaving the show was really disorganized and messy as well as during breaks. Everyone was shoving each other and when I was in line to get a drink during break this family butted in front of me, but hey there’s only so much the place can do! Overall, the staff was very friendly and the show is definitely worth to see! 👏🏻👏🏻

The theatre seems to be closed due to the pandemic but they have a free exhibit about Parliament House, which is currently closed due to restorations. The staff member working there was very knowledgeable.

It’s by donation only. No backpacks or they safe keep it for you. Honestly a great place for a rainy day or if you just want to find a place to enjoy art and sit. It’s large and has clean bathrooms. The art pieces either make you think or give off very Pawnee Parks and Rec mural vibes. I will not post photos. Enjoy it in person.

This is such a great museum and gallery- it was free admission for us and we got to see many different pieces from the group of seven to contemporary pieces, had so much fun here. If you’re in Charlottetown you must go!

Decent size, but a lot of the same type of art. Needs to have more distinct themes. Also, free admission (but donations are wanted and expected). Don't bring large bags, but if you do they will keep it until you're ready to leave (backpacks, grocery bags..)

Parks Canada usually strives to offer an experience in both languages in surrounding PEI sites. The Confederation exhibit being off the usual site due to renovations, it sadly misses the mark. We were unable to obtain any information in French from the staff working at the exhibit, when we visited in the afternoon of August 17, 2023.
What was the most shocking happened while we were waiting to watch the documentary that is displayed on two different screens in the room. Each screen needs to be activated by the staff, after distributing headsets and choosing which language to play. We were the only ones having taken seats in front of a screen that had not started playing the documentary. After requesting headsets to the staff, he came back with a group of other guests.
When we asked the staff to play the movie in French, expecting to see the movie based on the order of arrival, he instead asked the other guests if they understood French. Given that they didn’t, the staff asked our family to stand up and wait 10 minutes next to the other screen, that was already displaying the English version of the movie.
This kind of bigotry from staff members should not be tolerated by this institution, especially not in an exhibit replicating such an important moment of our country’s history.

At the East Pointers show last night (Dec. 16, '23). Tim is a great entertainer!
But the staff did NOTHING to control the unruly people in the audience. People were shouting over the music. And people coming and going with drinks during the show were blocking our view and generally distracting us from enjoying the performance. I expected a lot better from the Confederation Centre. It felt like the Cavendish Beach music festival. It will be long time before we return.
Notably, Emma and Joy did help us by finding us new seats away from the worst of the crowd, but other people were still strolling in and out of the theater during the show.

We keep coming back to the Center. 1st. The memories my spouse has after working 45 years ago as a Hostess for the summer and 2nd: the plays! Last night we went to see the “Tell Tale Harbour“ story whose led character/actor was “Allan Doyle” whose known more as the lead singer for the band “Great Big Sea”. This musical was great! A must see if your in town this summer(2022).

The Play that Goes wrong.....
We had a Horrible experience at this venue as a group of unruly customers sat behind us interfering with our ability to hear literally any dialogue. Usher pulled us aside and offered us hearing devices and/or a change of seats. Both options had to be administered through the box office. Having missed a substantial part of the play already we thought going to the box office at this point would cause us to miss too much of the performance. We requested a refund. The theatre manager authorized to provide a refund was not in the house and so we were told to call her or see her Monday morning (after the weekend). I called her and left a phone message and emailed her receiving no response at all! I did manage to track her down Monday morning and was told a flat "no refunds for any reason" policy was in place. And so we spent 200 dollars and received nothing for it! We are very disappointed in this policy and find it unacceptable that the theatre would be happy to take our money having no regard for customer satisfaction. If we could give this experience a zero star rating....we would!

Don’t overlook gift shop & restaurant
We stop in every time we’re in town.
They have one of the best most creative gift shops in PEI
Also delightful restaurant that is great for meetings, business especially.
My kids love to run around, this time there was a cool dream catcher exhibit.
Besides the Theatre and Gallery there is a big free area to explore too.
Charlottetown serves as the capital city of Prince Edward Island, Canada. It is situated on the southern part of the province and holds importance as Province House National Historic Site where Charlottetown Conference of 1864 took place leading to the formation of Canada. Beautiful! The details in the architecture is amazing. Everywhere you turn your eye, there is something to see. The stained glass detail is sublime - vibrant and detailed! There is a boat encapsulated in glass that is so small and the story behind the bishop building it is very interesting. Full story is provided beside the boat itself! Very baroque style building that reminds me of the ones I got to experience in Paris. Worth seeing.

A beautiful stone built church in 1916 ! It's the Cathedral of the Diocese of Charlottetown in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. It is named for St. Dunstan the Anglo Saxon saint from Glastonbury. It is located on Great George Street, between the harbour and the Confederation Centre of the Arts.

Absolutely beautiful. What a great place to visit! Even if you're not Christian, the colors and thr architecture are amazing. There was a reverence inside the building which was breathtaking. The ceilings, the stained glass, all of it were amazing. I would love just to sit in there for a while and take it all in. Definetly a great place to stop while your walking around the town. Even if you choose not to go inside.

Tim Newman — Google review
Beautiful building, but the environment was terrible. First, the church is only open for mass/prayer and is not open at all for visiting, which is not good in my opinion as the building deserves attention from the public. Despite all these barriers, my mom and I were set to see this beautiful building and dressed in our Sunday best to see the basilica at Sunday mass. As we walked in, we felt immediately that we were unwelcome. So we peeked around a bit (some guy followed us as if he thought our activity were suspicious). Might I add my mom and I are both Persian, although we are both Canadian citizens, I was born in Canada and she has been in Canada for 21 years. Nevertheless, the atmosphere made us feel uncomfortable, so we left after two minutes. The moment we left, the man who followed us around inside placed a sign outside the Basilica reading “No Visitors”. We tried to snap a picture of it but he changed his mind and brought it back inside very quickly. Overall, not a great experience but the basilica was beautiful. 0/5 stars for experience, 5/5 for objective beauty of the basilica to give a rough average of 2/5 stars.
Upstreet Craft Brewing is a brewery dedicated to brewing delicious artisanal beers. The brewery has a large variety of their own craft beers as well as a nice selection of food that pairs nicely with the beers. The service is friendly and fun, but they could use more knowledge about their beers.
We stopped in while our exploring a bit. We love to try small local breweries. It was small inside but was very clean and modern but with a nice industrial style twist. Sat outside on the patio which was a great atmosphere. The guy working, Clint, was super personable and friendly. The food tasted fantastic. The veggie dip was an absolute win. The beer was tasty and I’m not a much of a beer person. We also met, what seemed like the resident crow. Clint told us he calls him Crowseph, which was a day maker! Definitely stop in!

A comfortable walk from downtown Charlottetown and by far the friendliest staff and patrons I’ve encountered on the island. Lively place with lovely, artsy and eclectic decor serving a large variety of their own craft beers and a nice selection of food.
The beers, although arguably representative of their respective styles, were all delicious.
We ate the grazer (at least that's what I think it was called), a platter of tasty goodies. That was delicious and paired well with some of the beers.
The service was friendly and fun, but seemed to lack the knowledge that I feel they should have about their beers.
This is definitely a beer lover's place. Worth the visit.

A great taproom overall with a good selection of beers, guest taps and seltzers. There’s a food menu to make it a full meal. We shared a pizza for a light fare, but this is not a Neapolitan pizza as it was too thick and saucy to be one. Just leave it at thin crust pizza… The servers were attentive and on it. The beer itself didn’t have much to it nor was it memorable.

One of my favourite stops on our trip to Charlottetown! I wish it wasn’t raining because the patio looked really nice, but the inside was great too! Ordered the lager (Cavelier) and Sweet Pig Pizza, which was UNREAL! I have never had a pizza with a little bit of sweetness from syrup and my goodness it was perfection. A must try!!

Ok, let's start off with the Pizza. Had the Sweet Pig pizza. The absolute perfect combination of sweet and heat and bacon. Delicious. The two gentlemen working behind the bar? Fantastic. The company I met? Amazing, Amish John, I will never forget you...I sampled nearly every beer available and they have a beer to suit every taste, trust me. I even ventured into a Sour, which does not normally agree with me. If you are visiting the Island or live hear and enjoy craft brews, you must stop here.

Nice selection of drinks (though I wish they would get some more local cider options), plenty of seating, and generally some entertainment or something to keep you busy when visiting - like the large array of board games.
Food is just alright. Bit overpriced for what you get, and the vegan/lactose-free cheese option is just a rubbery mess - you're better off not getting cheese at all if you have a dietary restriction. Smallest little dipping cup to go with garlic bread, and not a lot of dippables to go with the goat cheese dip. Don't expect greatness if you're coming here for a meal.

As an Islander going with someone from away, this was enjoyable for all. I enjoyed the Island history so much, and my companion had a wonderful time seeing and hearing all about PEI’s ties to England, as well as the early history of the Island. Probably not something for younger kids, but I think most adults will enjoy it very much. Between the 30 minute free tour of the house, and the option to wander the gardens, this place is like something out of a storybook, nestled right in the city. Highly recommend.

We didn't know what to expect from the tour, but we really loved the look of the building and thought it was worth checking out. We got a tour from Hannah and she was such a great guide -- she had so much interesting info about the history and architecture of the house, as well as being super enthusiastic and engaging (we particularly liked the guessing games for all of the old gadgets in the house). Cavendish Beach, Prince Edward Island National Park
Cavendish Beach is a prominent attraction located in Prince Edward Island National Park. The park spans over 42 kilometers along the island's northern coast and boasts of various habitats, including undulating dunes, sandstone bluffs, and wetlands. While the park remains open all year round, visitors can access full services from mid-May to mid-October, with July and August being the peak months.
Beautiful beach and National Park. This is typically a summer and tourist destination and can be quite busy. The beach is great in season, but the overall area has much more to offer. There are walking trails and bike area that can be utilized the majority of the year. Service are only provided in summer months, so be sure to plan ahead. Well worth exploring and spending some time.

Our family (group of 7 adults) came to the beach on Friday August 12, 2022. It was a beautiful day, and not super busy. At the main “boardwalk” before the stairs & ramp down the the beach, there were accessible change rooms and washrooms, lots of picnic benches to rest or have lunch, and and ice cream shop. We spent a couple of hours here, swam in the ocean which was cold, and enjoyed the silky sands! I’d recommend coming here but hopefully on a day where it’s not super busy! 😊

Well maintained boardwalks with natural pond areas and wildflower meadows, we were visiting as Hurricane Lee arrived so the were lots of dramatic crashing waves and strong winds… still beautiful though. The shower / washrooms were well maintained and incredibly clean. The only downside was that a few areas were tapped off due to walkways being broken and broken information signs.

Had a really enjoyable time here. Nice facilities that were clean when we were there. I think a 4.5 is a better rating as the beach is quite rocky and hard to enjoy for swimming. That said the sandcastle making was lots of fun. Overall beautiful views, just keep in mind the trees in the area show evidence of the hurricanes that have come through.
Also, check out the Sunset and Stars hike put on by Canada Parks.

Staying in nearby Moncton which we made our base for visiting Hopewell rocks, the Magnetic Hill and this beach here on PEI, we arrived on a windy September day, which turned very sunny in the afternoon. We have not realised, that crossing the long bridge between the mainland and PEI will have to be paid upon returning to mainland and is the most expensive fee we paid for crossing a bridge, at 50.25 CAD!!!
Reaching this beach involved lots of turns via small country side roads, with the map opened on my phone. Being late September, after Lee storm (which kept us awake in Halifax earlier) the beach had no access fee and there were lots of coaches bringing old tourists for a stroll on the beach.
The beach is very long and there is lots of info there on do's and do not. Even the water was warmish and I saved 2 caterpillars blown by the wind to the sand: one decided to further poo on my finger, I guess that is nature gratefulness, right?
Beautiful views in all directions and this area is left unspoiled which I like. Would I come back in summer time though? Not really, I prefer to stick to the provincial parks around Toronto for daily escapades and if I really want a holiday in the sun, probably I would chose quieter locations southern USA/Gulf of Mexico/Caribbean. There are lots of great locations to discover further.

The location was perfect being a 1-2 min walk to the beach, which is quite private. On Sept 11th, 2022 the water had to be 21-22⁰ .I went in with my clothes on lol
We've stayed there before and will stay there again. The cottages are clean, supplied with all the necessities but if there's anything you need, it's a simple call away.
There are 3 and 4 bdrm executive cottages and plenty more to accommodate your needs.
The towels and linens smelled fresh, and the bed was comfortable. We stayed in #4, a 2 bedroom that has a double and 2 twin beds. There was no fan or air in this one but the breeze was awesome. There is a BBQ on the good sized deck with a gravity-free lounge and 4 Adirondack chairs. There is a massive yard for kids to play in, as well as a few large wooden swing set/play houses.
I could go on but long story short...STAY HERE.
Only negative thing was that the coffee cups are too small. There should be at least 2 large coffee/tea/hot toddy mugs 🤷♀️😁✌🏼

This to me was a live performance of A Christmas Carol, and my thoughts were, this is the performance you get after a two-year shutdown due to covid-19.
90% of the actors have succumbed to covid-19 and the immunologically strong 2 cast members have survived, and during quarantine they have had ample time to have learned every part and all of their lines. And in the spirit of entertainment, The Show Must Go On!
The two remaining cast members deliver a spirited and memorable performance! Five star from every angle, standing ovation!
Consider myself extremely fortunate to be able to witness the efforts of these two performers and how they held the audience's attention in the palms of their hands for 2 hours. Bringing it to a crescendo of emotion and joyful seasonal celebration! Bravo and hats off to the both of you!
Hope this is helpful!

What a great experience to learn what is taught at a Piping school and the parts of a bag pipe. The newer, attached auditorium is well suited for concerts and competitions. Most topics were covered except for the “straight face” vs smiling of the performers.

I am a snare drummer at the college, and the experience is really one of a kind. I now have two jobs now because of my commitment. They are both at the college. The college is currently teaming up with the National Piping Center in Glasgow, Scotland. This is also the only place that teaches bag piping, Scottish snare drumming, highland dancing and step dancing year round in north America. It is also a unique facility because in 2004, Doug and Debbie Hall really liked what the college had to offer. They didn't want to just donate twenty dollars, so they paid for all lessons for people under 18 who want to take snare or bagpipe lessons.

Great Theatre! Comfortable seats and fantastic Sound! Kudos top the sound guy! Saw Ennis Sisters - Small Halls concert - very enjoyable! Will definately go again.

Performers are amazing. Shows are wonderful.
Parking is terrible. Why have a big theater if you can only have enough parking to fill half of it. We went during the winter and had to park in a snow bank along with many others. At least plow the back area to make it convenient.

Years ago we went to the island and made a point to see a performance. It was super amazing. This last August we visited again and made a point to see another performance, actually the last one of the season. Definitely not amazing, actually terribly disappointing with dancers not keep the rhythm, making mistakes and being other late or too early in the movements. What a shame having my amazing memory shattered completely. The Drunmers were amazing. The Pipers equally amazing. Day of performance -August 12th. Giovanna & Matteo

Saw Highland Storm, Aug. 11, 2022. Was amazing. Pipes, drums, dance, song, music. Talent and passion from everyone involved in the show. Thank you for letting us be included in this event. If you get a chance, go see this performance!!! Bravo!

Went to the mini teaser show and had a great up-close and personal info session/show with some of the students/performers. Then found out about the Highland Storm show the next evening...bought tickets...and were not disappointed! Wonderful story told and fabulous performances all around!
Basin Head Provincial Park is a scenic location situated on the easternmost tip of Prince Edward Island. The park boasts stunning white sand beaches, warm water in summer months and unique features such as singing sands that squeak when walked upon due to high silica content. Additionally, the park offers amenities such as a children's play area, showers and a canteen. For those interested in local history, there is also a fishery museum located nearby.
One of the best parks I've seen. Great beach, river and facilities. Picturesque and calming. Great for families. They call it the singing sands because the sand squeaks when you walk on it! Beautiful place

A nice location with a guarded beach. There are protected waters from the surf as well. The facilities have restrooms and places to grab a bite to eat. There is also a museum on fish and fisheries, though I did not go through it. Family and dog friendly and not too crowded in early September. Worth a visit if you are in the East of the Island.

Beautiful beach and some water activities are there. Some people are diving at the famous bridge above the channel, but be aware of the safety although life guards are there. Cafe is available. Washing facilities are also ready for people after their water's activities.

Love this beautiful beach. Great for kids to play here, swimming, diving and sand play.

This is one of the best beaches in North America. It's typical for a PEI beach in that it's out near rural farmland but still gorgeous with red sandstone cliffs, pine trees, sand dunes, shallow surf beaches and sand bars but it's different in that it has this really unique inlet that feeds into the ocean and it's deep enough and safe enough to jump and enjoy a refreshing cold swim. Restrooms, snack shack, singing sand...simply amazing.
Sam Chiang — Google review
This is definitely the highlight for our trip to PEI and Nova Scotia so far. Singing part is, of course, nice but really just wave hitting the shallow sand beach, which we experienced elsewhere before.
I am more impressed by the relatively deep strip of water, between the shore and another shallow strip further into ocean, making it perfect to swim safely.
Further, more marine life were slighted, especially near the rock cliff, like we saw one baby turtle, many crabs and jelly fishes, which is really surprising.
And finally, the unique place to jump into the fast flowing river into the ocean. There are lifeguards there watching, though jumping is not on park' official activity menu: you do that on your own risk. Be careful when you choose to climb out thru the ladder. It is, however, lots of fun and all free!
And the little cafe is also a pleasant surprise, as it had some really good potato fries and Haddock and other seafood, all reasonably priced.
Frank Wu — Google review
You will not have the place to yourself in summer, but you will have access to a long, soft and squeaky beach! (Drag your feet in the dry sand...)
The canteen up top has amazing fries, the water was clear and cool!
Be sure to pick up your garbage!
Paige — Google review
I loved this place. It was calm and peaceful with almost no people at the end of June. It was fun walking in the middle section of sand)not to wet or too dry) and shuffling or stomping our feet. The sand makes a weird sound, but it was fun to do.
Tammy Vallee — Google review
Fantastic spot for a swim and a jump in the water!
The signs say you can't but everyone else was doing it, so I guess that solves every mother's favourite question:
"If your friends jumped off a bridge, would you?"

Gorgeous beach. We were there late season and it was warm and not crowded. Kids loved the bridge jumping and the singing sands were cool. Highly recommend here. Nice tables and clean bathrooms - mostly. Has food and ice cream as well.
Nick Kottelenberg — Google review
Spent a pleasant Thursday afternoon in July here. The water was clear with little to no seaweed. There are sandbars to wade out to when the tide is in that become small islands as the tide recedes. There was lots of room on the beach despite the great weather. I didn’t hear the sand sing - must have been on intermission when I was there ;-)
There is a canteen, an ice cream place and a gift shop in addition to change rooms/rest rooms.

Second time here and i really loved this beach with good vibes! There’s restroom. But you need to know that there’s no overnight parking here.

Nice and peaceful beach! The singing sand is truly special to hear.
The beach is big enough to be far from the noise and to take a nap there.

My family and I (group of 7 adults) came to visit Basin Head on Sunday August 14, 2022. We are from Ontario. This was our last full day in PEI so it was nice to see and it was definitely beautiful, but it’s similar to any other beach. This area is quite secluded. Not much but farmland on your way there and back (we came from Charlottetown). There isn’t really any restaurants around except in Souris so I’d recommend eating there before the beach if you’re a big hungry group! Or bring a lunch/snacks!
The sand squeaks when you stomp hard on it but that’s it! I was hoping it would sound more like the “singing” it had its name for. Some of us jumped off the bridge which was cool but the water coming through is quite strong! Overall not bad and definitely beautiful! 😊
Victoria Cronkwright — Google review
Basin Head is one of the most amazing places I've ever been to.
Absolutely beautiful beach.
The sand even makes noise when you walk through it!
If you are planning a trip to PEI, Basin Head should be on your list of places to visit.
Lots of parking.
Dustin — Google review
Lots of people jumping off the bridge into the waters below. Several lifeguards on duty watching the beach. The sand was amazing, could run for a long time on it. Best to come during low tides. Not a single mosquito. Lots of sand crabs in the water near the pillars of the dock. Would definitely come here again.
The Haunted Mansion is a family-friendly attraction situated in a Tudor-style home. It offers visitors an opportunity to experience a thrilling and fun-filled adventure while walking through the well-decorated mansion that takes more than 20 minutes to explore. The haunted house consists of exceptional props, which are some of the best around. With carnival rides and a gift shop on site, it's an ideal place for families to enjoy together.
This place was the most fun I had while on the Island. It takes quite a time to go through. The props are awesome, some of the best. There is a good mix of surprises so it never gets boring. Id recommend going here to anyone, kids and adults.
Philip Merritt — Google review
The best haunted house so far for us. Great experience for the entire family. Nice garden is a great addition to a house - you can spend some time there, and then get back to the house for one more round. Fun with kids. Take coins to the garden. There is a red chair to put a coin (25cents) into and get an answer about you 🙃
In the house watch for portraits, they change - you might want to spend decent time near the "beautiful/scary" lady, as it changes two times for each character: a woman, a men and a creepy child - this portret was one of our favourites.
Great collection of different scary things. Might be pretty cool on Halloween
Anna Kuksenko — Google review
This was our first visit and the experience was very nice. Everything was well decorated and the props were exceptional. It was more than 20 minutes of walk in and around the mansion. Considering the COVID19 situation, it was a job well done.

This was the best haunted house! Air blasts, famous characters, unexpected movement and sounds! I'm normally not a fan if getting scared, but this was awesome!
And the house! Such an amazing building. Went through three times and still missed a few things! Walk slow and enjoy each tableau!

Scarier than expected, they use a lot of interesting tricks to get ya! Very much enjoyed the haunted house, and the gardens were very nice too. I appreciated that they had full hand sanitizer dispensers in many well-chosen locations.

Very nice place for the family to enjoy. Some parts of the mansion was creepy but we all laugh at each other for screaming.

This place was such a reasonable price, lots of good scares, and a beautiful garden area in the back. The price covers you to go as many times as you'd like from open until closed, which is amazing for someone visitingand wanting to kill some time. The chip truck out front had amazing food as well.

This was a must for me when planning our vacation. I’m so stoked that it opened up for the season before we had to leave. It was everything g I could wish for. Scares, chills and mind spinning vortex. Green Gables Heritage Place is a notable museum that served as the inspiration behind the book 'Anne of Green Gables'. It holds historical significance and has been restored to showcase furniture, décor, and furnishings from Anne's era. The place offers guided tours with audiovisual displays for better understanding along with a gift shop. With its proximity to Cavendish Beach, it is an essential location to visit for those who admire the classic novel from 1908.
We had an excellent visit here! We had a friend in town who loved the Anne books, and she was so excited to visit this spot. We were really lucky that they stay open later into the shoulder season.
The spot is clean, bright and very accessible. Lots of well laid out ramps and well marked steps. Washrooms were clean, accessible and well maintained.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable- We really loved the guide inside the house but everyone was very friendly.
I think our favourite part was the wall of books, showing the different book covers and when they were published for different countries. Really interesting to see the image choices!

I never thought I would travel to this shrine! It really is a very impressive site that embodies the life and influences of one of Canada's greatest authors that has influenced many people around the world.
If you get to go for a visit, you won't be disappointed!

This was a must for me when visiting PEI for the first time. I loved learning all about Lucy Maud Montgomery. The house itself was neat and we enjoyed the walks in the woods and exploring the memorial stuff in Montgomery Park. There is a second part past the park that costs extra, so it you want to explore it, ask about it when you pay your admission at the beginning. No one mentioned it to us. There are some great things for purchase in the gift shop...I picked up a copy of the Anne of Green Gables book in addition to a few other things. You can also take a picture with "Anne and best friend "Diana". 😊

Absolutely beautiful park with an interesting history. There's plenty to do and see including nature trails, scenic gardens, and a Victorian era homestead that was turned into a museum.

We've been here to send some pictures for our parents who love the book and the TV series, not expecting much but, we were wrong. An extremely well structured and organized museum, really beautiful inside and out. Very well maintained where you could probably see lots that is on the books right there. Everything is sparkling clean and the flowers are amazing.

Green Gables Heritage Place displays the history and writing journey of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables.
This beautiful space encompasses the story of the writers life, showcasing her passion, struggles, and inspiration as well as actualize the story of Anne of Green Gables right before your eyes. You journey through the writers life, and then go outside to visit Anne’s house as it would have been in reality.
The space is beautiful, clean, and well taken care of. A wonderful place to be if you’re a lover of the book.

This was a great museum to learn about all things Lucy Maud Montgomery and the inimitable Anne Shirley!
Beautiful displays, a lovely house remodelled to look just like Green Gables, colourful gardens, a walking trail in the woods, clean bathrooms, a cold-water bottle filling station, and even Beaver Tails to eat. We didn't venture into the gift shop, which was huge and would have overwhelmed my kids who want one of everything 🤣.
I highly recommend stopping here while in Cavendish!

A beautiful piece of Canadiana. The context at the museum before visiting the house gave me a different perspective to understand LMM and the Anne of Green Gables story. Watching literature come to life was lovely - and noth something you get to experience every day. Highly recommend.

This is the place I wish I could keep to myself. Such a serene site! It's L.M. Montgomery's house. The structure is original, and the items inside are those from her time. (Quite a few of them were donated by the people of the island.) The house is furnished, and the staff is knowledgeable. Wonderful! The exhibition is great, and the trails are divine (the Lovers' Lane and the Haunted Woods). The greenery wasn't in full swing, but we still enjoyed them immensely! I bet it's even better in the summer. I can't say enough good things about this experience.
Maria — Google review
This was an interesting stop on our tour of PEI. I knew nothing about Anne of Green Gables but grew up know of the cultural influence. I took the time to walk through the exhibit and read about Lucy Maude Montgomerys life which gave me a new appreciation for the stories.
The entrance fee was around $9 and are pet friendly which helped when travelling with my dog. The visitor centre has a large gift shop as well as in depth exhibit and great clean bathrooms. There is a small cafe just outside the building as well.
The actual Green Gables building is maintained as a one way walk through filled with historically accurate furniture and decorations. This doesn’t take long to walk through in itself but there are also trails on the property to walk if you’re keen on exploring.

Was absolutely lovely!
It was a beautiful and glorious day in October. The museum had a lot of information and as someone who was introduced to Anne in Grade 7 for our English Literature class and fell in love with Gilbert Blythe and everything Green Gabels it was pure joy being able to come here!
The gift shop was so large and had numerous memorabilia and trinkets.
Ample parking . Although I recommend coming in early as soon as they open so that your able to take pictures and explore freely without crowds.. I got there at 9 and when we left at 11 there. It was crowded and many tour buses were arriving!
All in all a fabulous place to visit.

Like many Canadians, I grew up reading/watching Anne. Seeing Green Gables was magical.
You enter the Museum that chronicles LM Montgomery's life before exiting the back that leads to the infamous house.
The grounds are beautifully kept and there is a lot to explore.
There are bathrooms and a lovely gift shop.
The museum and most of the grounds are wheelchair accessible, however, inside the Green Gable home and to go into one forest section, there are stairs.

I loved this place! I grew up with Anne of Green Gables and this place was just amazing. Unfortunately I couldn't go on the haunted trail or lovers Lane due to the rain but it was still really nice. Definitely a must see!
Aishah Waheed — Google review
What a delightful place to visit! Felt like stepping right into Anne of Green Gables, I kept expecting to run into Diana while traipsing among the Haunted Woods and hoped to catch a glimpse of Gilbert as we strolled Lovers Lane.
It was so fun to just wander around, and nice to have so many plaques and interesting exhibits to learn from as well. I especially appreciated the quotes from L.M. Montgomery's journals.
There is no need to cut your trip short, there is a snack bar nice restrooms, indoor exhibits and plenty of trails to wander and enjoy.
Nicole Smith — Google review
Recommend especially if you are an Anne of Green Gables fan. Much to see and do. It's part of the federal parks so you don't have to pay if you have a discovery pass. So much information about the author. Walk through the house, explore two trails. Can walk to the authors home ( extra fee ) we chose not to as it's just the foundation. After the walk through the haunted woods you can visit the memorial park and the post office that has some more information and historical pieces as well as a neat video to watch all for free.
Elissar Malaeb — Google review
You can meet Anne and her place only between May and October.
I trusted when Google said “open”, but found it closed although you still can stroll around without access to the inside of the houses and facilities.
Burlington Go Karts and Amusement Park is an exciting family destination in a picturesque PEI setting. The park offers a variety of activities including go-karts, mini golf, laser tag, bumper boats, batting cages and air soft. The staff are helpful and friendly and the overall cleanliness of the park is impeccable. Visitors can enjoy the thrilling rides such as go-karts but some attractions may be out of order at times.
They had a variety of fun activities that me and the kids all enjoyed. Was not busy when we went so we were able to spend a half day there and enjoy all the attractions multiple times.

Spent $253 for my son for his birthday. There was 8 people. Spent a whole 5 minutes enjoying ourselves and the rest arguing with staff since we got kicked off the go carts for accidental “rubbing” or “bumping” whatever they call it. No warning just done. 5 out of 8 of us kicked off. Tried to speak reasonably with someone. Waste of time! Very poorly run and prices are crazy for quality!

My wife and I were traveling with our 8 year old and 12 year old. We went for the family bracelet package and had a blast! Multiple times on the go-karts, a round of mini golf, several rounds of laser tag (I strangely enjoyed shooting my family), bumper boats and batting cages! The little guy is too young for the air soft, but we'll be back for another round. The staff were all helpful and super friendly and the park was clean. Lovely scenic PEI setting too, overlooking the river.
It was a great place to have fun with the family!

Our family of 4 spent an entire day here today. The go-karting was so fun, the laser tag was entertaining (but weird there are only sensors on the guns), the batting cage a great workout! This family run business is a great way to spend the day. As for the 1 star review that complained of the 13 year old workers…I think it’s great to see young people working instead of playing video games all day. Great value and I highly recommend!!

Most of the rides were out of order however if you want to try out go karts they were really fun for all ages even had little ones that my five-year-old could drive by herself, the mini golf corse was ok.

I went out east on a week long road trip and by far, this was the most fun I had. I loved everything about it. fun (talking about the go-karts), although some stuff was out of order and maybe skip the boat bumper thing. gets to hot from sun and engine but whatever, still was entertaining.
Calvo — Google review
The first problem is the price. There are two options... $50 for 8 laps or $150 for an all day family pass. 8 laps isn't enough, all day is too long. However, the all day family of 4 pass includes mini golf, bumper boats and go karts. When we went on August 5th 2022 the bumper boats were out of order and no discounts were offered. The second problem is the go Kart track is in such bad shape my wife HURT HER NECK. So many bumps you would think they would fix it up and make it smooth. My feelings on it is they do not care about the customer, just the money. 2 stars because we enjoyed the air conditioning and the staff were kind despite the owners terrible operation. Thanks for taking $150 from my family and hurting our backs! You got your money though so I guess good for you! You won't get any more unless you fix your track.

This park is worth every penny! Especially for those nostalgic folks who grew up in the 80’s and 90’s coming to this one and others like it. Staff are friendly with a real family vibe and there’s a good variety to keep young and old entertained for hours. We love that it’s being rejuvenated! Highlights for the under-10 crowd were the kids-only go-karts, bumper boats, and laser tag. Adults loved bombing the main go-kart track (bumps and all). We didn’t have time to do the mini golf but will definitely be back for more!

Good track. A couple of their karts are in need of repair but it was a good experience. The views are amazing!

The new owners here are friendly, understanding and they care. The experience is worth every penny no question should you spend the day with the family. Being a small family owned and operated business its unrealistic to expect every detail to be perfect or like a big Toronto business.
The go kart track is bumpy in places but for anyone who's body isn't already falling apart you'll be fine. My 2 year old enjoyed it and I was never worried about her so you can ignore reviews from grown men complaining about their backs...how embarrassing for them.
Go check it out - these guys are the real deal!

This is a small Amusement area not too far from the Cavendish area. We noticed that the Go Karting at the Sandspit was over crowded so we looked to see if anything else was around and we fell upon Burlington Go Karts & Amusement. Upon arrival, it was a little later in the day but Go Karts were on our mind. There is a small bumper boats & batting cages (always a good thing). The Go-Kart experience was great. My 9 & 13 year old daugters were able to drive without adult supervision and had a great time.
My only quam was the 2 young men handling the Go Kart were a little disorganized. The 1 young man in charge of explaining the rules was not clear. His voice was too low and he rarely spoke in the direction of the drivers. He would look away as he was saying things so you really didn't understand much. If those young men, and others, can be given a training on how to speak in public, with authority & volume, that would help immensly.
All in all a great experience and on my next vacation to PEI - I'm heading to the batting cages.
Victoria Row in Charlottetown is a charming street filled with culinary delights and shopping opportunities. During the warm summer months, visitors can enjoy indoor and outdoor dining options accompanied by live jazz music from local musicians. The ambiance is enhanced by candlelit dinners under large umbrellas. In addition to dining, Victoria Row offers traffic-free shopping experiences, including the popular Anne of Green Gables Shop.

Short pedestrian only street on certain days such as Canada Day, what it lacks in length it gains in colour and variety of food and shops. There are also bandstands that host musicians playing live music of all sorts. The picnic tables painted in all sorts of color represents the east coast well.

This was a wonderful place. So peaceful. The scenery is spectacular. Sunset is amazing. There is only restaurant. Need to book ahead they don't accept walk in. This is a must place to visit on PEI. This is the first light house of Prince Edward Island. I wish to visit here again. This is closer when you are taking the ship to cross PEI to Nova Scotia.

This is the oldest lighthouse on PEI. It is in incredible shape and a great spot for photo taking. We visited this lighthouse at sunset. Be prepared for the mosquitos, especially in the summertime, as they can get quite bad at certain times of the day on the island. Sunset was beautiful! Would definitely visit this one again.

With amazing views this lighthouse gives access to the guard room. It also has preserved beam glasses used in the past. The gift shop has amazing collection of local crafts and lady at gift shop is very sweet - she shared anecdotes from past and how climate change may impact light house. Don’t forget to use stamp at the entry of light house. It’s fun

Picturesque tall lighthouse on the beautiful south coast of Price Edward Island. They had a super cute gift shop with souvenires, and wears. My sister and I each bought these beautiful hand painted pottery dishes for grating garlic. You can even pay as small fee ($5) to go up inside the lighthouse all the way to the top. The money goes to maintaining the lighthouse so we happily paid. The inside is set up like a museum and a greater who tells you the history of the lighthouse and it's keeper. You can even crank the fog horn with is fun! There are several levels to climb and it's cool to see how the keeper lived in the small spaces The view from the top is incredible. Sweeping views of the sea backed by lush evergreens.

Wonderful to see and appreciate the beauty surrounding it. We were able to climb to the top for a few dollars and it was great.

Oldest lighthouse in Pei and definitely worth 5$ for climbing to the top to see the view. Staff at the entrance were great with the info about the lighthouse.

Really nice light house, views are beautiful. Ironically even though it was fairly windy and cooler the mosquitoes were pretty bad! Bring some bug spray and enjoy the views!

The oldest lighthouse on PEI. Marvelous souvenir shop. All items very unique and crafted by PEI artisans. Lighthouse cost $5 to walk the near vertical staircase to the top but worth it.
Prince Edward Island National Park is a picturesque park with stunning beaches for swimming and cycling trails. It boasts of unique natural features such as red sandstone bluffs, undulating dunes, and diverse flora and fauna including the red fox and endangered piping plover. The wetlands and forests in this north-central coast region are also home to many other species.
Beautiful park to visit. A bit of a drive but we'll worth it. Has well maintained trails for biking and walking with many spots to stop and rest with a view. Bathrooms and a great information center thats open during the summer. The floating bridge is beautiful.

Loved the beach, we stopped at Stanhope and it was amazing. Getting there was another story . Google maps kept making us turn thru side streets that were close. We finally gave up and decided to do a huge loop. At the end we enjoyed it. Bathrooms and changerooms were clean and a huge bonus.

🏖️ Beautiful Coastline - Never Wanted to Leave 🏖️
You can spend an entire day here walking the coastline and possibly enjoying some of the summer activities. The park is over 60km long and simply breath-taking to soak up. It includes a beach, wildlife, and a refreshing breeze. If you’re visiting the Island or touring the Anne of Green Gables Museum, definitely plan the National Park as a stop on your itinerary.

Absolutely amazing place. The beach and trails are awesome.
The beach is huge and stretches far. The water is a great temp for dipping feet into. There is an active life gaurd presence. Relaxing as can be.
The trail offers some stunning views. The trail isn't difficult and the floating dock portions offer views of the dunes that is just something to see.
Bonus is the massive dragon fly population so mosquito's are in check.
Plus the dragon flies can be seen in some great colors and if you are calm they are more than happy to land on you!
The cost of entry was $15 for myself and my spouse and it is well worth it.
Parking additionally is ample.
Again highly recommend if you are going to be in the area. It is thus far my favorite spot in all the province.

Loved this park. We didn't have time to explore & stay at every spot as long as we would have wanted to but were able to spend a nice few hours on the beach. There is a really secluded beach right next to Brackely which was really nice and Brackley itself was beuatiful.

One of the most beautiful places in the maritimes, the rock formations are breathtaking, the skies are clear enough to see the milky way, and the beaches are natural and full of interesting wildlife. While hiking towards the old arch we saw all sorts of animals such as Arctic Red Jellyfish and even some foxes. I will certainly be returning on future trips.

What a beautiful place to take a bike ride, there's 6km/8km of trails depending on the loop you take - easy enough to bike with only minimal incline and small packed gravel. Multiple overlooks to stop and admire the scenery, walk on the beach and experience the red sand.

Spent the afternoon there (Brackley beach) before it started raining. Very peaceful, not that crowded and the water is so fresh and clear (watch the crabs!). Also, you can drive further down Gulf Shore Pkwy until you hit the Covehead Harbor Lighthouse. There's another beach there that's more secluded.
This is an alternative to the more popular Cavendish Beach.

A great beach with beautiful ocean views. The sand is clean and fine, best for swimming and playing water. Love to stay for hours.

Park has nice reddish beach that wasn’t too busy. Lighthouse in the park also had another beach with a lighter sand beach that was also nice to hang out at. Would recommend exploring the park. Can spend hours here if you want to relax and stay or less than hour if you want to sightsee and go

Visiting Prince Edward Island National Park was an absolute gem - especially at the very beginning of October, which means solitude and silence, except for the sounds of the waves and wind.
It is just a short drive from the heart of Charlottetown and is a true coastal paradise that offers something for everyone.
One of the standout features of this park is its stunning sandy beaches. The golden sands stretch endlessly, making it the perfect spot for a day of sun and surf.
Whether you're building sandcastles, taking a leisurely stroll, or simply basking in the sun, you'll find the beaches here to be both serene and picturesque.
The sand dunes are another highlight of Prince Edward Island National Park. They are a natural wonder, rising like gentle giants along the coastline. You can hike through the park, enjoying the breathtaking vistas and the tranquil sound of the waves crashing nearby.
The boardwalks in the park provide an easy way to explore the diverse ecosystems and landscapes. They are well-maintained and offer fantastic views, making them perfect for a leisurely stroll or a more extensive hike.
After a day of walking, lounging, and playing in the sand, you'll be pleased to know that the park provides facilities for washing off the sand. It's a practical touch that ensures you can leave the beach feeling refreshed and clean.
Prince Edward Island National Park is a must-visit destination for anyone exploring PEI. With its sandy beaches, mesmerizing sand dunes, and convenient amenities, it's the perfect place to connect with nature and unwind by the sea.

PEI National Park has so much to offer. Great beaches, hiking, biking, and even a green gable. Be sure to check out the Greenwich dunes trail, Cavendish Beach, Brackley beach, and our favorite beach we visited, which was Dalvay beach. This area had several great lighthouses to see as well. This National Park is a must-see when visiting the island!

One of the most beautiful places I have ever been. If you visit PEI I would highly recommend a visit here. Bring a baithing suit because there is a nice beach at the end of the trail. It about a 20min walk to the beach from the parking lot.

The entire island was trip worthy. Plan to spend at least two days exploring and walking Charlottetown, the national park and visiting the beaches, red sandstone cliffs and backroads! Five days would be even better.
If you are an Anne of Green Gables fan, you'll love the Heritage Museum and enjoy a walk down lover's lane into the haunted forest!
Not to forget the glorious Basilica downtown!!! AND the amazing FOOD.

Long strip of land along the northern shore of PEI. They charge for each day. Going after 5 is free. Great spots for sunset and quintessential red sea cliffs. You can basically find a spot to be all by yourself.
