The Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias is an extremely impressive state-of-the-art science complex set within a landscaped park with a huge aquarium & IMAX screen. The architect Santiago Calatrava is largely responsible for the stunning architecture, which has been met with mixed reactions from Valencians. It's well worth visiting for the beauty and scale of the buildings, as well as the variety of exhibits on offer.
Amazing place. One of my favorite spots and definitely a must visit if you are in Valencia. The complex was designed by Santiago Calatrava and the architecture is just amazing. It includes different buildings, each one really beautiful and overall is a great place for pictures and for taking a walk.
I bought a ticket that included visits to the science museum, a movie and the aquarium. I do not think the entrance to all of these it's worth it, but you can try, specially if you come with children.

I provide the review for the complex only.. as we did not have time to go inside the premises.
To be honest, the architectural designs are extremely amazing. I cannot describe how it really impressed me. You can see from the pictures and video. The best is to experience the complex in the afternoon and enjoying the sunset to take pictures.
We love the water entertainment too.
Definitely in love with this place in addition to the paellas 🥳

Much fun for kids and grown ups. The science museum is one of the most interactive ones I've been to.
The aquarium was well maintained, even though a bit expensive.
Took us the good part of a whole day to cover both, ideally they should be done one a day. Buy your tickets in advance for sure, even for weekdays.

Special place, different and a must visit if you are in Valencia. Well served by means of transport and 10 minutes from the center. Futuristic structure, you can visit the botanical garden. the science museum, the innovation pavilion and what is on offer in the period you are in. Unfortunately, we came across a short period of exhibition and we still appreciated the architecture, the beautiful swimming pool with the equipment that you can rent. A moment of relaxation. You can also rent bicycles to go to the park next door or visit the exhibition space which is very large.

Amazing place. Even if you don't visit any of the buildings there, its still a great place to just take a walk and enjoy the amazing architecture. You can take a boat ride, grab a quick drink or sandwich at the small food stand. There is a small park there where you can sit on the grass and admire the view.
I visited l'oceanográfico, it was nice. The kids would enjoy it the most, I think. It takes about 2-3 hours to fully enjoy it, and taking your time at each room.

If you like Architecture, photography, and wandering around in warm weather then this is probably the place for you. The architecture is amazing and provides countless photo opportunities. The only downside was that when I visited (mid June 2023) there was a stage built by the science building that obscured many views and I understood it was there all summer as they had a number of concerts planned in the space. Also, at night it appeared that a lot of the lights went off at 10pm, and only the opera building seemed to leave the lights on later.
Michael Sutherland — Google review
The architecture is incredible. Each of the structures has distinctive features but maintains the space age style of the site.
You can buy a range of entrance tickets depending on which attractions you wish to visit, the oceanographic being the most expensive.
Also, it's only possible to enter the Opera House as part of a guided tour at set times.
If you feel adventurous, you can hire a board or boat and shoot around the lake for a while.
Each place is fascinating and worth a visit. You can also go in and out of the Science Museum as many times as you please during the day.

Must visit when in Valencia. You can walk from central Valencia in apparently 50 min or you can take a bus or a tram. Definitely very impressive! Spanish modern architecture to its T. I loved everything about it. There’s some restaurants and bathrooms if you are looking for one. Highly recommend.

Beautiful architecture and color scheme! It has many things to see and do. And is always full of people tourists, locals and students in large groups. The exhibits inside the water spaces are beautiful pierces of art. There are several shopping and eating places within walking distance.

Absolutely loved this place as the glass and skeleton like architecture goes so well with the water surrounding the buildings. The buildings and gardens are maintained well and they are very clean. We happened to visit when there was a Christmas market which was lovely as they had a variety of food stalls and gift shops. We didn’t enter any of the buildings but a walk around here and the park is a great way to spend the day!

It's really a treasure. Beautiful and a wow architecture and romantic environment. I did not have opportunity to visit inside buildings but from outside its so unique. Worth to see

Great place to visit with kids or kids at heart. Lots of interactive displays set in a very beautifully designed building. Worth the visit just to explore the building.
Also tickets are reasonably priced compared to some of the close by attractions.

Amazing place. It looks like it’s from the future and I love it. You need to spend a full day there to really enjoy. I spent most of the time in the museum of Science and I loved the concept. There was a section for history of music, for the earth and mars and also different experiments you could try about a lot of scientific subjects. It is very educational and fund for children and people of all ages. I had fun.

These amazing futuristic buildings in Valencia are a must see. We visited on a cruise and the shuttle bus dropped up in the town centre where there are plenty of historic buildings to view. But I wanted to see the HEMISFERIC structure and other "star trek style futuristic buildings" and WOW WOW WOW. Thanks to Google maps and a cheap local bus ride to get us there.

The low rating is specifically for the science museum. I paid €9 and it was a total waste of money. The building itself is incredible, but you can see it for free from the outside. The exhibits inside are 90% Spanish with no translations. Everything felt disorganized which was a shame given how much space they had to work with. This could’ve been an amazing place to visit, but save your money and just walk through the lobby and visit the outside areas.
The Central Market of Valencia, Spain is a massive and beautiful market filled with fresh produce, spices, and specialty ingredients from all over the country. It's one of the largest markets in Europe and is also home to a Michelin starred chef who prepares bites at Central Bar. There are many stalls selling unique items from all over Spain, making it the perfect place to buy souvenirs or find regional dishes to cook at home.
Very lively place with tons of great spots for food, souvenirs and several other items. I particularly enjoyed the variety of typical foods, Spanish hams, cheeses and the ambience of the market. It is surrounded by restaurants and shops so it makes for a very nice area of the city.
Adriana Perez — Google review
A unique market experience and must-see for tourists! While you might not be able to purchase many of the items, there are still fresh juices, drinks, snacks, and other take-home items. The freshness of every market item is unlike anything I’ve seen in the states!

The market is a dream come true for any foodie. We visited twice while in Valencia and got to try a lot of stuff. The produce is all fresh and the prices are absolutely fine. There are also bathrooms right by one of the main entrances.
I'd appreciate at least a small corner to eat the food you purchase there. There's plenty of outside seating by one of the side entrances, but no shadow.

This market is incredible! It's probably the best indoor market I've ever visited.
I'm almost lost for words.
The building itself is beautiful, but it's the amazing amount of authentic working stalls inside that has to be seen to be believed.
The choice of fresh seafood, vegetables, cheeses, meats, sweets, the list goes on, will take your breath away.
The fact that this market serves the local community rather than pandering to the hoards of tourists adds greatly to its charm.
Not to be missed.

The Central Market is one of the iconic places in Valencia. The architecture of the building itself, specially built for market trade, is noteworthy. But the most interesting thing is inside. There are fruit and vegetable rows and butcher shops with such a variety of jamon! Fish ruins are easy to find by their specific smell. But this is not the smell of a week’s catch, but a mixture of aromas of the freshest fish, octopus, cuttlefish and many more unknown sea creatures. Here you can wander around just like that, watching with interest the interactions between sellers and buyers, plunging into truly Spanish everyday life.

Fantastic place. First of all, the building is phenomenal, well maintained and beautifully decorated. The market has something for everyone, lots of seafood, different fruits and vegetables. Of course, there is also the famous prosciutto, which you must try. You haven't had breakfast, everything is waiting for you here 🙂🙂🙂

Very nice covered market in a very nice building!😍 If you are in Valencia you should definitely see it. Fresh meat, fish, vegetables, herbs, etc. A feast for the eyes. You can also enjoy coffee / tea / wine etc at the bar in the Mercado. Super friendly people, we will definitely come again. Love it!❤️Until next time😃

Wow, what an unbelievable site. There are so many vendors, fresh foods and delicious treats all over this place. There are a few things to know before coming here.. Some of the vendors only accept cash, they do not allow you to TOUCH the fruit unless you are purchasing it, it says it closes at 3:00 but everything shuts down at 2:00pm. On the back there is a nice bar with a long wait to sit at where you can grab coffee or a drink. It is crowded with locals and travelers. Go early on if you want a more upbeat relaxed experience because if you go towards closing there is a rushed feel. Next to the bar is a key copying place & a place to fix leather. This market is worth checking out!

A must visit for tourists and locals. One of the oldest markets in Europe that has been renovated and it shows; the architecture is beautiful and looks really clean for a market - so be sure to look up at the building as it can be missed with the other eye catching produce on offer.
There can be an overwhelming amount of stalls to choose from and the market is huge, so give yourself ample amount of time to explore. There are plenty of cultural foods and drinks all at very good prices - there is bound to be something you will like.
Minor issue is there is not much place to sit in so be prepared to either eat outside or standing up. Also there is a small fee for the toilet use.
Sam S — Google review
Notice the parrot symbol all over the place, including the old parrot structure on top of the dome of the entire building. This bird is emblematic of the market being the place for news of town gossip! This symbol has existed since the central market has existed!
Numerous fruit stands, delis, butchers, artisan products and etcetera. Also has a few restaurants to eat in while you are shopping. You will see that even locals shop for their greens and fruits here.
I would recommend getting a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice or a quick cafe cortado before walking around this massive commercial areas, which used to be the center of town.
If wanting solid photos with less people in the vicinity, I would recommend coming right before siesta hours so that the place is semi-empty!

Nice place to visit to grab some snacks and taste some of the localities.
There you can buy veggies, fresh and cured meats, cheeses, oils and amazing seafood and even some jewelry.
The Pescados stand was amazing, there you can get some fresh Unis ( sea urchin) and oysters 🦪 by peace and try right there with lemon. That was so yummy!
We tried cheese and sausages too.
As well as some really nice olive oils.
Amazing place to check out if you’re a foodie and you can get some gifts too!

The Central Market of Valencia is one of the oldest markets still in use in Europe and has been declared a ''Heritage of Cultural Interest'' site by the Spanish Ministry of Culture. After about ten years of work it was inaugurated in the course of 1928 and decades later, in 2010, it was completely renovated. It's a popular spot among tourists as well as locals, as it’s the perfect location to immerse yourself in the heart of local culture and to get lost in its numerous aisles filled with local products.

Central Market Valencia is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves fresh, local food and an authentic shopping experience. The market is a bustling hub of activity where vendors offer an incredible variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, seafood, spices, and baked goods. The quality of the products is outstanding and the vendors are friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to offer tips and advice on preparing and cooking their products.
The market is also a feast for the eyes, with colourful displays of fresh produce and beautiful architecture that captures the essence of Valencia's history and culture. The market is conveniently located in the heart of the city and is easily accessible by public transportation or on foot.
Overall, Central Market Valencia is a wonderful place to experience the local food culture and indulge in some delicious, fresh, and healthy ingredients for your meals. Highly recommended!

The biggest and most popular market in Valencia. We visited on two separate days to be able to see every shop. Multitude of options from trinkets and souvenirs to butchers and food stalls. If you’re a tourist looking to buy souvenirs to bring back home, this market is your one-stop shop.

Beautiful old local market. Go early! Everything is closing down by 2pm (14:00).
Great option for small bites, local specialties and local meat and seafood. If you’re a fan, look for the local fish mongers with fresh oysters 🦪 and uni/urchin,…or look for a favorite cured meat, paella, or seasonal fruit, all of which you can enjoy on the spot.
For fresh food, be prepared with cash. Some vendors only accept cash, others only cash for small purchases, and most did not want to accept the Mercat certificados (cash coupons) that say you can spend them on market purchases. Most vendors told me they wouldn’t accept the certificates at all, or they were only for parking but not purchases.

A must see - one of the largest in the world with an astonishing choice and opportunities to drink/eat. Early in the morning the fish market is fantastic. A pity we cannot go shopping there every week.
Valencia Cathedral is a beautiful Gothic-style cathedral dedicated to the Holy Grail and with stunning views of the city. It is home to a museum with many interesting items, including an Italianate fresco above the altarpiece, as well as two Goyas in the Capilla de San Francisco de Borja. The cathedral also has a famous tower with great views of Valencias Historic District.
Such a beautiful church, full of history and impressive religious art.
The facade is impressive as well as the inside of the Cathedral. It features beautiful Gothic style designs as well as impressive religious pieces, stained glass and much more. We were lucky to attend mass at the Cathedral on Christmas day and we loved the community as well. Such a great place to visit. The Holy Grail chapel was closed at the time of our visit, but I hear it's beautiful as well.

The Holy Grail is here! Believe it or not, you should visit the cathedral. The cathedral, La Seu in Catalan, is situated between two squares. It is built in Gothic style with Roman elements and other. For me, each cathedral is always one of the main sightseeing points. Because it is the history of the city.
You can also visit the bell tower and enjoy the view of the city.

Must see when in Valencia! Entry ticket was around €10, you’ll get the auto guide included ( selection of languages available). Beautiful building inside and out. A lot of Artwork inside which is worth seeing and listening to the history. Cathedral was build in XIII century, so there is plenty history there. You have an option to climb the tower of the cathedral on your way out for an additional €1.5 ( you’ll definitely get your steps in that day ).

The most beautiful cathedral in Valencia! It’s such a precious place to visit and I believe it’s a must visit place for all tourists and visitors. Every angle of this cathedral is photogenic and it’s full of holy paintings and adornments that are worth the visit. The entry fee is €8 which is totally worth it as you can spend hours in there. It’s also quite close from the central station so you can walk there. Also there’s a mini museum inside so go have a visit.

Very beautiful place. We spend there around 2 hours as there are some additional zones with exhibitions around main part church. Inside and for an advanced price like 2-4 euro you can visit the tower. It's 240 stairs there.

The experience was made enjoyable through the useful audio guides and for €9 it was definitely worth it. Lots of other things to see not just the Holy Grail, which was impressive in itself.

You have to visit the cathedral if you're in the city. It's a bit pricey, and to go up the tower, they charge a supplement; but if the cost goes towards the upkeep of the building, fair enough.
They do include an audio tour, which is surprisingly good, and there's a great museum inside that has superb displays and access to the catacombs.

we climbed the tower (207 steps, would not recommend the elderly or inactive) before visiting the church and the 360deg view was worth it! the church itself also exhibited a very interesting concept of mixture in architecture styles.. and one can see the holy chalice here. audioguide also enhanced the whole experience, worth a visit!

The Cathedral in Valencia is an awe-inspiring architectural masterpiece that captivates visitors with its grandeur and historical significance. From the moment you approach its magnificent facade, you're drawn into a world of centuries-old craftsmanship and intricate details. Stepping inside, the interior boasts breathtaking beauty, with ornate chapels, stunning stained glass windows, and the awe-inspiring Holy Chalice. The audio guide provides invaluable insights into the cathedral's rich history and cultural significance. While some areas may be crowded with tourists, the overall experience is well worth it. A must-visit landmark in Valencia for anyone interested in history, art, or architecture.

Went for the bell tower, but ended up staying for over an hour because of the museum in the cathedral. It is a separate entrance than the bell tower and requires a separate ticket, but is well worth it. Not only is the main part of the cathedral beautiful, but the museum is very interesting and actually takes you UNDER the church to an excavated area… which includes a small graveyard. Non-fluent Spanish speakers- everything here is in espanol, so I recommend downloading Google translate (and downloading the offline option, otherwise you won’t get the really interesting info from the sites under the church!).

Another great example of the church's wealth & power continuing into the 21st century in Europe. A good few interesting pieces, rooms & art. If you're spending a few days in Valencia, this is not a bad place to kill a few hours.
John Keenan — Google review
During my recent trip to Valencia, I had the opportunity to visit the iconic Valencia Cathedral. While the cathedral itself was undoubtedly interesting and impressive, the €9 admission fee seemed somewhat steep, especially since the building wasn't significantly more remarkable than other cathedrals or churches I've visited.
As a non-religious person, I was still captivated by the stunning frescoes, intricate icons, and majestic statues throughout the cathedral. The architecture and historical context were noteworthy, adding depth to the overall experience.
My main interest, however, was the 'Holy Grail,' believed to be the cup from which Jesus drank. Unfortunately, the artifact was tucked away in a small, dimly lit room and displayed in a dark case, making it difficult to see clearly. The room was under renovation, which made it challenging to appreciate the artifact in a serene setting. Furthermore, there was a lack of information or indication about the Holy Grail's significance, aside from a lengthy audio tour that included unnecessary chanting.
In summary, the Valencia Cathedral is an interesting place to visit with its impressive architectural and historical elements. However, my expectations regarding the Holy Grail were not entirely met, and the €9 fee seems excessive for visiting what I perceive to be a public church. If you're in Valencia, it's worth a visit, but be prepared for the admission price and potentially underwhelming display of the Holy Grail.

Absolutely splendid medieval cathedral with significant 18th-century renovations. The prerecorded handheld tour guide was just right in terms of length and detail. There is a super museum accessed from within the Cathedral with amazing artefacts. The Cathedral itself has at least one painting by Goya. And if you like relics, this is definitely your kind of place!

Gorgeous cathedral with lots to see inside. Budget at least an hour if not longer. It's not only the church (which hosts the holy grail and the arm of the patron Saint of Valencia) but there is also a museum attached to the side. Be sure to check out the upper floor that has lots of artwork and artifacts. Clean bathrooms available on the 1st floor. If short on time, I would suggest the Valencia Cathedral over Saint Nicolas.

A very beautiful cathedral in the middle of Valencia's city square. A must visit when in the city. Beautiful altar that opens and closes like a cabinet. One of the best in Spain in my opinion, perhaps just behind the one in Seville.

Right in the heart of the old city centre, this cathedral is absolutely beautiful. It costs to enter, but it's worth it. You get an audio device as part of the entrance fee. There are chapels surrounding the main altar piece that are worth exploring. My absolute favourite is the magnificent and highly decorative baroque altar. Staff are very friendly and I highly recommend visiting.

Well organized visit with relevant short explanations. Beautiful interior, certainly spend time in the museum. The tower is high (207 high steps, no resting place) and the view on Valencia from the top is a bit disappointing. We do not recommend to climb if you are not in great shape.

A very interesting cathedral - 9 euros entrance fee, they give you an audio guide, which lasts about 1.5 hours and tells in great detail and mostly very interesting about the history of the temple, Christianity and Valencia. Worth a visit as it’s free entry and it’s such a beautiful medieval architecture that used to be used as a food trading place, like a market. Beautiful building, inside and out. Definitely worth the visit even just to see the interior architecture and decor. I went here with the guide from a walking tour. She explained the history of this building, why it was built and many fun facts. In general, it’s a pretty and well-managed historical site to visit, but if you come by yourself, it might be more interesting to get an audio guide.

This entire edifice is an indication of how powerful and bold silk tradesmen were during Europe's expedition of the Orient (Marco Polo). The small, provocative ornaments on the structure's main door are facing the church directly... making it even more bold of the silk tradesmen back then!
The architecture is obviously why one goes here. But the history of silk and how it built half the city through the Silk Road from Asia is also a narrative that provides more context to your visit. I suggest doing a quick wiki.
The spiraling columns are different especially when you stand up close and look up. The best lighting seems to be around 10 AM when it opens.. the best time to take pics!

A very strange place - it costs 2 euros (free with the Valencia tourist pass), which seems like quite a bit. But surprisingly, the visit is not worth it at all. Well, that is, there is nothing interesting inside at all. The building is cool from the outside, it’s also nice on the inside, but there’s no information written anywhere about anything, all the halls are empty, there’s no ancient furniture or other furnishings that would tell us how everything worked here. In one of the halls they play a video - very boring.

An incredibly beautiful building and well worth a visit. We bought the audio guide and I found the nasal American accent which is supplied for English pretty grating and this detracted from the overall experience. Other than that it's well worth a visit - great insights into the history of Valencia.

The place IS worth visiting provided you pay separately for an audio guide which offers visitors an abundance of details with regards not only to the historical significance of this place (see the triad The Cathedral, The Silk Exchange and Generalitat), but to the mixture of symbolism carved into stone both inside and outside. Not to mention the beauty of the gargoyles.....

This is a world heritage site, and I'm not surprised. It takes you back in time. I have never seen a building like this before. The features are stunning. The history have to be seen and heard via audio. We'll be worth the money and it does not take too long to see around the building. If you only have limited time to sea the hidden treasures of the city, this is a must.

Interior and exterior of this building is very beautiful. Large stained glass windows, wooden ceiling and a lot of stone looks amazing. It would be great if it has some information stands about the place.
The Oceanographic aquarium in Valencia is the largest of its kind in Europe and contains nearly 500 different species of marine life. The building owes its impressive concrete roofing to the architect Felix Candela, who designed it as a magical space of water and wildlife. Visitors are able to explore different sections of the aquarium over the course of four hours, and it is definitely worth reserving time in your itinerary in Valencia to visit!
This is one of the best attractions in Valencia. Some people in their reviews say you will be done in an hour and a half but we spend over 2 hours and we enjoyed every minute. We spend so much time watching each of the animals, they were all so amazing to see. The dolphin show is around 10 am or 11 so get there early as the seats fill up fast. Some of the best parts were the sea lions, the flamingos, and the most unique part was the tunnel where you walk underneath stingrays, manta rays, sharks, jellyfish. You can see their features up close it's amazing.

Amazing. A must see even if you don't have children. We had an absolute ball here. The day was a long one so be prepared to eat on site to make sure you get to see every attraction. Very worth the price and long day. The children and the grandparents loved it.

We have purchased tickets in advance, but can be purchased at spot. Plenty of parking, daily rate was 7 euro, with additional ticket taken in shops. A lot of connecting buildings, map can be taken at info point. Kids loved it, plenty to see and experience. We stayed about 6 hours and were able to see everything (about 8k steps :))

I visited L'Oceanogràfic on a rainy day in Valencia, and it turned out to be the perfect indoor activity. The aquarium is massive and incredibly well-maintained. The sea life creatures appear happy and healthy, making it a truly enjoyable experience. It was a fantastic decision for a rainy day outing.
The location is awesome, the parking is quite convenient.
I’d recommend to book the tickets in advance. This place can get quite busy on weekends and holidays.

I think it is a bit expensive for what you can see in the aquarium. Some animals, like the penguins were kept in a very small space and the dolphin show was a bit uncomfortable to watch, there are like 18 of them in a pool that is not big enough for them to swim and more so being so many of them being kept there...
I liked the layout, that you can be outside from one part of the Aquarium to another, but for that money I was expecting the animals to be in bigger and better places, sort of like the aquarium in Lisbon.
Also most of the vending machines were broken and it was very difficult to get a drink.
But overall it was good, especially the tunnel where you could enjoy seeing a great variety of sea life swimming around!

So much more than an aquarium. We spent hours there and didn't get to see it all. The kids had a great time hoping from one creature exhibit to the next. The animals all seem to be top priority and well cared for. So many different animals to see and very up close.
Tye dolphin show was a clear favourite. Lots of fun and amazing tricks. Make sure you arrive early because there is limited seating.

The place in total was really cool, and we had great experiences there. They had everything from tropical fish, to birds to penguins! They also had a dolphin show, which happens every few hours, and that was white cool also, and they also translated everything. Which was good. It does take a long time to visit everything, and I would say you need at least 5 hours to visit everything. The tickets were quite expensive, as for everything, we ended up paying 170€ for 4 adults and 1 child. The food there was also very good, however it was slightly expensive too. Overall, the place was really cool, and I would recommend. But beware, we went here even when it wasn't the crowded season, and it was still pretty full, so you might want to buy tickets earlier, depending on what time of year you want to go.

One of the best aquariums that exist in the world. I’ve been in multiple aquariums in North America, Asia, and Europe. This is simply one of the bests. It achieves a good combination of fishes from different seas and climates, as well as marine mammals, birds and lizards. A trip around the globe of multiple ecosystems in a single place.
The facilities are clean, and well maintained.
I was a bit hesitant about dolphins in captivity, but they seem to be treated very well and responsibly. Staff is nice and passionate about working with all this marine life. It was great to see.
Last but not least, there are good food options, from casual restaurant, to a hot dog hut with multiple options.
At 40 Euros, It’s on the expensive side, considering Valencia prices, but the trip was totally worth it. Good for adults, kids, and families. I was traveling solo, and no regrets.

A magnificent aquarium. You can spend almost a full day in it. An aquarium that hosts animals that you may not see in your life. It is very pleasant to walk in. Every detail is very well thought out. You can also coincide with events inside. There was an event with dolphins. Although I was against the use of animals in these events for commercial reasons, it was a good event. I felt sorry for the small area reserved for penguins. I am saddened by the confinement of living things that were brought from their natural habitats to small spaces.

Boss day out. Kids love it here. Lots to do and seem food is good but expensive. Toilets everywhere which is always a plus with 4 little kids. Not like your usual aquarium can spend a good part of the day here and not go bored. Dolphin show is good. So are the shark area. Lots of good stuff and good staff. 4D show is also good abs with the extra for the shark one.
William Burnett — Google review
Huge place that will require several hours for the best visit. Make sure to keep your kids well fed and happy to ensure that everyone will have a good time in yours and the others' groups.
The exhibition will be crowded at times so have patience.
The dolphin show is a must see. I watched it twice because, to be honest, it was a bit hard to follow. Young children around me thought the dolphin show was too much talk and too little action. When something cool actually happened they missed it because they didn't know where to look.I also weren't prepared when and where they would perform a trick.
Penguins would have been so fun to see but the window on that exhibition was a bit dirty and had water droplets all over it making it a bit hard to see clearly. This diminished the possibilities of an amazing, once in a lifetime, experience.
All in all, at first I thought it felt expensive but was actually very good value for money. If you visit Valencia and have the time and the money, go there.

Had a very nice experience with my family here. It was the main thing we enjoyed in Valencia. For anyone that is a lover of animals and oceanic life than I would recommend spending a couple hours here. We also got to witness the dolphin show where they taught us about the latest technology used in research and I found that really interesting.
NOTE: We bought our tickets at the front office like a lot of other people. Definitely don’t need to book in advance unless you want to skip the line.

Amazing place. A must if you can - especially good for children. Sooo much to see. Be prepared for lots of walking both inside and out - place is enormous but very well designed and organised. Huge selection of rays and sharks. Beluga whales were the highlight for us and we feel privileged to have seen them.
Highly recommended buying tickets online beforehand

Recommending buying tickets in advance so you can skip the line. Need to know exact day and time of the visit to do so. There are some discounts if you buy combo tickets with other landmarks in the city. You can google it to see which ones. Also you need at least 4 hours to see all parts of the place, its really big. Dolphins show is worth it.

I arrived on a Saturday almost at 4 pm and they asked me if I wanted to enter because I had about 2 hours left for the visit. They were so kind. I managed to see everything in a bit of a rush, but definitely, I recommend taking more time. I loved the dolphin show, there was one ever hours and they announced it before the last one started. I also loved the rest of the visit, truly a great experience.

Such a great aquarium. I’ve visited many aquariums and this one is definitely top 5. So many different animals to see. I liked how they separated most of them by locations (where they would be found in the wild). They had very informative signs. Even though there were a lot of people, it didn’t feel overly crowded. We had a great time.

I absolutely love this aquarium one of my favorite. Easily my favorite part of Valencia. I would recommend buying the tickets online in advance huge time saver and it will save money. Amazing marine life centre, a must see. Amazing design and layout and plenty to see. Informative and instructional for adults and children. Good restaurant with table service and a reasonably priced food selection of food from the menu. The portions were very large as well. Highly recommended.

I did not know what to expect, but this place is really special. The buildings and facilities are amazing. You really need to 3 to 4 hours to see all well. The Delphine show is good (included as part of ticket price), but not super amazing, however it’s great for kids to learn. The shark tunnel is fantastic!

A diverse range of aquatic life on exhibit. Displays with an environmental theme are located throughout and feature powerful statements about pollution & plastics. Food services were not plentiful on site, but there are many nearby. Entrance price was a bit steep, but comparable to similar attractions in major cities.

This is definitely 100 times better than bioparc. It's got a huge space almost like the Disneyland of aquariums. It's easy to spend 4-6 hours here except the food options are terrible here so some people suggested bringing your own food. The dolphin show also is very boring, maybe it's very humane and kind to the dolphins but there was 70 percent lecture on saving the dolphins and 30 percent show. Kids couldn't even sit through it, the Spanish audience were the best though, they were singing and dancing thru the music which was much more interesting than the disorganized dolphins. To compare, even a tiny aquarium in Hokkaido Japan had a better dolphin show. However they do have some really cool tanks. I
There was one underwater tunnel they had Atlantic fish which was not so pretty bit there was another tunnel with sharks and tortoises. It's very cool. The bird case was a cool structure but looks better from the outside than from the inside. The octopus is totally cool to look at. The whole area is pretty big but it's not too hard to walk it all. Not really sure I saw it all but the kids were too tired to keep going after 5 hours. Highly recommend the sharks, penguins, belugas, flamingos and the octopus. Very very fun place. Worth the entrance.

This place is a true gem, and here's why:
The Oceanographic is incredibly well-maintained, showcasing an impeccable level of care for both the marine life and the visitors. The size of the facility is impressive, offering a vast and diverse array of exhibits to explore. It's like stepping into a world of aquatic diversity and beauty.
One of the standout features of the Oceanographic is its cleanliness. Everywhere I looked, the facility gleamed with cleanliness, making the visit all the more enjoyable. It's evident that the staff takes great pride in maintaining a pristine environment for both the animals and guests.
The exhibit layout is both extensive and well-organized, with various buildings dedicated to different marine themes. Whether you're fascinated by sharks, mesmerized by dolphins, or curious about penguins, there's something here for everyone. The diverse range of exhibits ensures that you'll never run out of new and exciting things to see.
The quality of the exhibits and the welfare of the marine life were top-notch. It's clear that the Oceanographic is dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable environment for the animals. From playful dolphins to majestic jellyfish, the experience is nothing short of magical.

Hands down the best aquarium I have ever been too - A great variety of spaces and stunning marine life, all in pristine facilities. We went there thinking it would be a couple of hours, but easily spent 4 - 5 enjoyable hours. Dolphins were definitely a highlight 🐬
Would certainly recommend going if you get the chance. Plenty of choices for food if you get hungry too - Great place for a family trip out

An amazing day out! We went In April and it wasn’t busy at all! They had great sections to view; split into regions and it was very spacious to walk around.
So many cafe/food places to eat and drink. Great kids facilities.
Very convenient busy-ness screens to let you know how full an exhibit is.
Staff were all very friendly.
Prices for food and drink expensive but expected in an attraction.

Fantastic place! We spent over 7 hours here, strolling around the outdoor exhibits, watching the dolphin show, and going through the many underground exhibits showcasing a wide variety of fish including sharks, rays and eels, as well as turtles, seals, beluga whales, and penguins. And so many birds - flamingos, ducks, ibis, swans, and spoonbills. Take your time! It's well worth the price of admission.
This aquarium is well maintained and clean. Animals appear well taken care of. Staff are very friendly and most speak English.
We went in January, with no lineups, but still recommend buying tickets online ahead of time. Got to go straight in! Be aware you can bring in water bottles to drink, but no food allowed. This is to make sure you don't feed the animals. Reasonable request considering the circumstances!
This was definitely a highlight of our stay in Valencia. Highly recommend going for the day!

There are a lot to see : beluga, turtles, pingouins, birds, crocodiles and more.
You can easily spend half a day there and there are some restaurants/fast foods to treat yourself.
I visited Oceanographic as an adult but I was as excited as a child. Would 100% recommend it, especially if you have kids.

Awesome. We loved it. The spaces are out of this world. I love how it puts a lot of focus on the environment. We booked the backstage tour that takes you inside and explain how the water filtration works. Our guide Nuria was very knowledgeable and replied all our questions.
Also in case anyone needs it there are lockers, the size might fit a very small carry on, but otherwise I wouldn't take any luggage with you here.
We also tried the 4D movie theater, it was very good. An amazing experience, I believe it was only 3 euros. It's a must see in Valencia.

Wow what a big and beautiful aquarium.
I’ve visited some aquariums and I’ve never been to one where they pay so much attention to the animals and how big their living environments are.
This is how we’ve ended up spending almost 4,5 hours here, something we couldn’t imagine beforehand. There are a lot different animals to see. Very good of the park to separate most of them by locations (where they would be found in the wild). Must say that the signage in English is very good and placed at every item.

Equipped with state-of-the-art technology including a 1,500m2 stage with portable platforms and interchangeable sets, audiences can enjoy top artistic performances in this architectural masterpiece that represents art, science and nature.

The Museum of Fine Arts of Valencia is a world-renowned museum with an impressive collection of paintings, sculptures and other artworks from the 16th to the 20th centuries.
This museum is definitely a gem. Moreover, it’s free! Although I’m not a fan of medieval art, the collection here is quite impressive. There are some Sorolla’s paintings and artworks related to him. Don’t forget to check out the court garden; it’s super lovely. The staff members were also friendly.

Best museum in Valencia! The doors are usually closed so don’t be afraid and go in. The museum was free entry for us but I don’t know if that was because it was a weekend, however, I still believe it’s worth a visit! There’s a combination of holy paintings, Greco paintings, ceramics, historical paintings, etc. Its a huge museum that has everything you could desire and it has a stunning blue patio which is great for photos. You will be told to leave your belongings in a locker which costs €1 but it will give you the money back. If you don’t have any change, go to the reception as they will give you a coin for use.

The main collection of the museum are religious paintings. Although the surroundings in which the paintings are set is of top quality, the paintings themselves cannot always convince me. Not bad for a free museum, i think so or quite low price but we were looking at the pictures and that’s it, no real guidance though. The pictures were quite nice, some of them, painted by the local artists, the best ones. But we were visitors and not so into arts so we did not so much about the whole history behind the pictures and in the end was a nice walk.

Touted as Spain’s second finest gallery of fine arts. If it is its organisation is disappointing. There is intimidating number of security guards who wear almost like police uniforms. Super unpleasant experience.
The map is super confusing and incorrect as the 19-20c art will need three attempts to find it. Gothic art is great not much else in honesty. You will find yourself walking is narrow corridors for the most part.
Reception staff don’t really talk English and guess what exhibits have descriptions only in Spanish and Valenciano. Why? But it’s free.

The entrance was free, we were visiting on a Friday. There are 2 main sections: one covering pre-nineteen century with religious works and one after-nineteen century covering both paintings and sculptures. The location looks good and is clean, and there was also a temporary exhibition with paintings done by Spanish painters that were influenced by Rome.
The only minor thing is that in one small section, there was sewage smell.

Amazing museum with large permanent exhibitions covering religious art, painting & sculpture. Great collection of local artists displayed chronologically.
I was lucky to meet an incredible temporary exhibition of famously known Valencian artist Sorolla which was extraordinary.
The museum is free which is so generous and the facilities are great with many bathrooms and handicap access. The only downside for me was that you need to leave your bag and water in a locker that works with only works with euro coins (which is given back). That’s a headache If you don’t bring any cash which is not that uncommon nowadays.
The Quart Towers are a remnant of Valencia's city wall and are one of the most notable surviving Gothic defensive structures from Spain. The gate still shows the scale of the fortifications, which utilized pointed arches, key features from the Gothic Style, and was one of the most formidable walls in Europe. The towers offer great views of Madrid and the setting sun.
Our family spent 6 nights in an apartment directly adjacent to the Towers during a recent visit to Valencia. We loved waking to its imposing and majestic presence every morning. An invigorating climb to the top is well worth the reward of panoramic views of the city below and far off. We will miss these Towers 🇪🇸💗

These are my favourite of the two sets of towers that mark the entrances into the old city. The towers have holes that show the affects of conflict, the elements and people on history.
You can climb the towers to the top and look out over the old city. It's free to climb but they also have inconsistent hours and will close if the weather isn't great.

Well maintained piece of history of Valencia, and is definitely one of the towers to visit for a different perspective view of Valencia.
There are a quite a bit of steps to the top; so bear that in mind, though it is worth it.
There is no ticket require; the entrance is free. Though bear in mind there is an open and closing time.
We went there during the morning and there were a handful of people visiting. So I would recommend going during that time.
The Instal·lacions dels Jardins del Túria is a vast green space located in Valencia's city centre, occupying the former course of Rio Turias. The 9km-long park features various facilities such as sports courts, play equipment and a bike path. It offers an ideal mix of jogging and walking paths, playing fields, lawns and playgrounds for families to enjoy. Additionally, it's an excellent place to get some exercise with plenty of running clubs available.
Great park with various types of plants and trees
It's better if you hire a bike for taking a round and see the whole park.

Huge park. Lots of space to rest. Bicycle routes. Playgrounds. A lot of green.

One of my favourite things about Valencia is this park. It's great to have such a sprawling green space in the city centre. It's teeming with runners, walkers, and families enjoying time together. There's plenty of sports clubs and also restrooms.

Very big and pretty park in Valencia. Worth a visit if in town. It goes from north to sound but try to visit at least a small section.

La ciudad de las Ciencias, Valencia Spain . People is very friendly. The month of January is a little bit colder than the rest of the year, but you still can take long walks in this beautiful side walk in the City of Cience. You can find hundreds of restaurants around the area where they have an amazing menu to choose from. Very cozy town ☺️

Excellent for kids! We had a lot of fun and we were even able to order food and have it delivered on site to eat white children were playing. It is a nice area especially thought for kids !

Hands down, the most interesting children's park I've ever been to. It was slightly more 'advanced' than I expected though, a bit scary for my 4-year old to go up steep sides and slides.
Can't eat inside the enclosure, though there are picnic tables right outside.

An incredible resource, that is great for walking, cycling or running. A great flat way to get through the city with various things to do in the park along the way. At the end of the park are the great science museums and art/performance halls

It is very impressive the idea of making a huge park into the river's bed. At the begennings the Municipality wanted to make a highway, but the citizens voted for a green area. Very nice, green, with many paths for pedestrians and bikes. Also, the impressive architectural and futuristic buildings are breathtaking (opera house, ocenario, scientific museum, hemisphere). You cand also find food and restaurants. If you have Valencia on your list, it is mandatory to visit one by one the mentioned above attractions, including a walk along the park.
The Valencia Bioparc is a modern naturalistic zoo in Spain that boasts an array of African animals such as lions, gorillas, and giraffes. The park's focus on education and conservation sets it apart. The innovative landscaping creates the illusion of free-roaming animals without visible fences segregating their habitats. Madagascar is particularly magical with lemurs cavorting around waterfalls among lush vegetation.
Very nice experience! Animals looking good and healthy. The installation are very clean and well kept. A lot of freedom for the animals. We liked the fact that different species are together kept as in their natural environment (co-living). Happy to visit again. Entrance price is in good relation. You can see that they take really good care of the animals ans the park. Enhorabuena, Team Bioparc!

We liked the park because of the beautiful surroundings and everything is nicely put together. They have a lot of beautiful animals which you can see from quite small distance. We didn't like the price regarding the size of the park. It's actually quite small, was expecting a larger park... you can't bring some sort of food with you, which they don't have written on their site so don't bring many snacks with you, fruits are allowed. In general it's a lovely zoo but there are a lot more beautiful and larger round the Europe...

Bioparc Valencia is a fantastic zoo that is sure to please visitors of all ages. The zoo is well-maintained and organized, with informative signage and exhibits that teach visitors about the animals. The animals are well-cared for and seem to be happy in their enclosures. The setting of the zoo is also beautiful, with lush vegetation and ponds. I would highly recommend Bioparc Valencia to anyone visiting Valencia.
Pros:
- Well-maintained and organized zoo
- Large collection of African fauna
- Informative signage and exhibits
- Educational and entertaining for all ages
- Beautiful setting
Cons:
- Can be crowded during peak season
- Some exhibits could be larger
Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Bioparc Valencia and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Valencia!

Very nice place to spend a day, very clean and well maintained. The animals are well-cared and have spacious enclosures, a lot of clean ponds and spraying water during the day.
Even in hot summer day, there was so much shade it was actually comfortable.
Food is expensive and not very good quality, but you do not visit Bioparc for the restaurant.

Bioparc was beautiful and very well designed. We enjoyed seeing the animals from different viewpoints. Eating lunch outside where we could see giraffes, lions and other animals was a great experience. Your food choices were amazing. It wasn’t “junk” food. We enjoyed Bioparc more than we have enjoyed zoos in the United States. The admission prices are fair and well worth the visit. Thank you.

I honestly loved this place. The enclosures are fantastic as different species live amongst each other. The animals looked relaxed and happy too which I find the most important factor. Plenty of drink vending machines and toilets dotted around the place.
Maria Nagli? — Google review
One of the nicest zoos I've visited. The enclosures are built in such a way as to feel as natural as possible to both visitors and the animals of the park. You will hardly see any fences or cages, it all feels a lot more natural. The theme is Africa and there are only African animals in the park. The highlight has to be the fact that you can enter the lemur enclosure and have them running around you and up in the trees above you.
Emil Oprisa — Google review
Beautiful place, the Bioparc Valencia it is known for its unique design that aims to recreate and preserve natural habitats for animals. .
The zoo focuses on African wildlife and providing its animals with spacious enclosures that resemble their natural habitats as closely as possible. This allows visitors to observe the animals in environments that are more similar to the wild, promoting both their well-being and education about their natural behavior.
If you have an interest in wildlife and conservation, it is definitely worth a visit. Kids will love the place.
giuseppe gramaglia — Google review
Lovely experience. From start to finish there were really entertaining ways to look and be very close to the animals . You also can have lunch and good ice cream there.
Make sure to reserve about 3-4 hours to see everything calmly and enjoy it.

I've been to many zoos and this is among the best. Focused only on African species, they combine several different animals in the same exhibit. For example rhinos and zebras or giraffes and impala. there is a great flow to the design and you usually have different viewpoints of the animal areas. not a traditional cage anywhere. highly recommended.
Sean Essex — Google review
Stunning modern take on a Zoo experience with carefully designed natural enclosures that will make you think "how can just that keep the animals inside?!" and fully immerse you into an authentic Safari experience!
The highlight of my visit was seeing the rhinos and hippos playfully fight! What a show!

Had an amazing day at Bioparc, Valencia. It is so well designed and planned. It is really easy to see the animals and they are very relaxed and natural in this environment. There are plenty of signs giving lots of interesting facts too. Would definitely recommend to all ages and allow plenty of time for your visit.

Really enjoyed the visit. Plenty of biomes and animals to see. Lemurs up close were great. Restaurant food was brilliant and had no issues there whatsoever. Could do with more shading and possibly a mist feature to keep guests cooled during peak season, at some parts, the heat was unbearable.

I really enjoyed my visit to Bioparc Valencia. It is a nice zoo, smaller than I expected but that makes it easier to look around. My trip took ~2h for everything. It seems like they pay a lot of attention about every detail, especially animal welfare and their comfort.

Awesome park. Very pleasant place to spend time, especially with children. Very comfort spaces for animals, big, spacious, a lot of clean ponds and spraying water during the day, there is almost none quilty feeling on visiting zoo. I liked how clean the place is, wood, stone and glass everywhere for the terrain relief. There are nice places to eat, rest, buy a drink on premises.
Iuliia Zherdieva — Google review
A really great animal park - clean and animal friendly. The enclosures blend in with nature, there are no cages.
Visitors really enjoy this place! Suitable for visiting with small children.
Animals can be viewed from many angles. Their activities can also be observed in their private places - caves.
Many food places that allow you to enjoy this pleasant park longer.
What is very important for families with children - there are toilets everywhere.
Some birds are "free range" (see picture!)

I think this was the nicest bioparc I ever went to. I really love the idea of creating micro-ecosystems and putting together species which are compatible. Also a great thing is they do not have cages! Animals are separated using streams of water and rock walls. I really recomand visiting this place!

Bioparc in Valencia is an absolute gem! From the moment you step in, you're surrounded by lush greenery and an immersive experience that transports you to different habitats. What sets Bioparc apart is its commitment to conservation and creating a naturalistic environment for its inhabitants. It's not just a zoo; it's a sanctuary for wildlife.
The kid-friendly atmosphere here is remarkable. My children were captivated by the diverse array of animals and enjoyed every moment exploring the park. The interactive exhibits and educational programs kept them engaged and entertained throughout our visit.
Overall, Bioparc offers a perfect blend of entertainment, education, and environmental consciousness. A must-visit for families and nature enthusiasts alike!

Amazing place with various animals (yes it is not a typical zoo) - the animations are very educational (some of them are only in Spanish) and the visiting path is well designed, no need to look at the map all the time as there is only one main path. The animals are in quite good condition. The dauphin animation starts with a quiz (6 questions) to select a winner to have the opportunity to be interact with the dauphin which is a great idea! However the animation itself is a little bit “messy” as all dauphins are doing different activities on the same time.. the buffer restaurant has a great view on the giraffes and lions.
Highly recommend to buy the tickets online in advance which saves time and money (slightly cheaper than buying on site)

Spent a bit more than 2 hours there. Amazing place to spend time and see beautiful animals. We went at 10AM right when it opens and had bought tickets in advance so we got in super fast and had no queue in front.

Nice park! Our 2nd time here! Great place to visit with the kids!
Nice show of birds at 4.30 pm.
The conditions for animals seem better and closer to natural than in the usual zoos.
Make sure to put one layer of clothes more! It always feels colder than in the city.
However, we hoped to see more species of animals such as snakes and others!

Truly amazing place. It's designed in a way that allowes you easily navigate to see everything without getting lost or using the map, although the map is available.
You can spend there 2h but I'd recommend spending at least 5-6h. Personally I saw the whole park and after that I attended every event possible.
Activities like live exhibition or meeting with keepers are enjoyable even if you don't speak Spanish.
You can get a ticket online, including the meal which is a bit cheaper than buying it on site. Nevertheless it's not expensive either way.
Bioparc is located 10-15 minutes on foot from metro.
I should add that the whole place is so adorable, I'd go there even without any animals inside.
The Basílica de la Mare de Déu dels Desamparats is a notable shrine located in Valencia's main plaza, dedicated to the city's patron saint. This charming church boasts an exquisite dome adorned with blue tiles and frescoes created by Palomino. Although smaller than most churches, it offers a tranquil atmosphere for visitors to pray peacefully or simply admire the architecture. A small shop is available for those seeking souvenirs or gifts.
Entrance in this Basilica is free just be aware that if if they are on service they don't allow tourist to take pictures I actually waited for the service to be over to take a couple pictures and it was fine the ceiling of this Cathedral is so beautiful.

Gorgeous holy paintings on the ceilings! This is probably my most favourite place in Valencia, since it’s free entry but also the inside is so precious. There are seats inside so if you’d like to sit or pray, there is space for everyone.

This is a quaint beautiful Church in the main Plaza in Valencia.
It is smaller than most places, it remians very peaceful inside. Being Catholic, I value my time in Churches when travelling. It is important for me to be able to pray peacefully, even if there are people who come just to see the place.
There is a small shop on the way out to get a small remembrance or in my case a gift for my Mom.
Some construction going on so be mindful of that when entering.

Basilica de la Virgen de los Desamparados stands on Virgen Square near the apse of Valencia Cathedral. The two temples are connected by a covered gallery. The pearl of the temple collection is the painting of the dome vault. It was completed in the 18th century by the theoretician painter Antonio Palomino. The ceiling lamp depicts a bright vault of heaven.

It's so beautiful and majesty with the great history and in honour of the symbol of Valencia protectress Sant Virgin. The architecture, style is high noteworthy for fans. It is all about the plung in medieval. But contemporary locals respect this place as well and annually organisation of Virgin ceremonial get-up takes place here.

This Basilica is dedicated to the patrient Saint of Valencia. The actual Basilica from the outside looks like a normal Building. Once inside it's not that big but stunning ceiling paintings and carved marble structures are breathtaking. The Valencian people really hold this church dear to their hearts.
The Museu de les Ciències Príncipe Felipe is a modern and vibrant science museum that offers visitors an array of interactive exhibits and workshops to explore. Its impressive architecture spans over 42,000 square metres with five floors, featuring a dynamic design aimed at providing an educational experience for guests using their senses. The museum's focus on temporary exhibitions ensures that visitors can always expect something new and exciting to discover.
This time I only visited the Hemispheric to watch a film about natural Parks in the USA, but I was in the museum some time ago, and it is a fantastic experience, even if you bring kids with you. Don't miss the Foucault Pendulum, please!
Amazing place from the architectonical point of view, and place where many films were shot (do you remember Tomorrowland?)
The visit will take you 3-4 hours easily.
There are some nice little boats in the small lake in front of the main building, so you can spend some time there too!
G C — Google review
The modern architecture is simply astonishing!! We bought tickets for the science museum exhibit and the hemisphere 3D shows, which sadly were quite underwhelming compared to the grandeur of the buildings itself. We were literally bored by the exhibits. It's nothing compared to what you would find, say for instance in the California Academy of Science and Natural history.
The 3D shows and the technology in the hemisphere is beginning to show its age.
The resolution is horrible and the sound quality is very 'tinny'.
Nevertheless, if you look around, there are plenty of easter eggs in and around the buildings to explore. The upside in my opinion is that the best this place has to offer are the ones that are free!
Can easily spend an entire afternoon here.

This was an amazing experience. As a nurse, I was amazed at the scientists revered there, as the studies they pursued made a real, true difference in my career. The different exhibits left me humbled and amazed. What a GREAT museum! I went to the windows and bought a same day ticket, as well as qued up for the Oceanagrafica and Amazon show. Less than 30 € onsite. Online audioguide purchased ONSITE in your language was 1€. HUGE SAVINGS VS ONLINE
It is well accessible. For all, there are escalators and elevators. It has PLENTY of hands-on for the children, and I wished I had both my grandchildren with me to experience the exhibits. They were highly informative, though provoking, and lend you to get involved with the world around you. I LOVED LOVED, LOVED the EU Mars exhibit, and was very glad I was able to experience/explore the scenarios.
I'm very amazed that I found that the most intriguing and my favorite exhibit was the pendulum..
The building and its architecture are highly provocative. The whole outdoor area is a sensory stimulus, not to be missed...

This science museum should be visited if you're in Valencia. Take the morning for the Oceanique (the aquarium) which is only less than 10 minutes walk to the science museum. Then spend the afternoon here. We had lunch in the shopping centre across from it to keep us going for the rest of the day. There is a lot to read and see. Unfortunately we went during Easter and there were a lot of families so we didn't get a chance to try out everything.

Although it felt small on first appearances, there’s plenty to see and do there.
There was an offer on for Wednesday to have combined ticket with Hemespheric to watch a 4D film.
You can go in and out of the museum on the same day, and there is a shopping mall across the road with plenty of food choices, as well as a Christmas market right outside the museum.
My five year old loved the children’s play area and went in there multiple times.

One of the most impressive buildings in Valencia and maybe in Europe. The museum is truly inspiring for all ages from 10 to 100 years. Maybe not for children younger than 10 years since there is a lot of science which younger children cannot understand. You can easily spend hours inside and not see all exhibitions displayed.
Milos Trikic — Google review
On one hand it's a cool building and lots of space with a ton of potential. On the other hand the science museum seems to be poorly maintained and pretty outdated.
With rain, it seems like there are many leaks and lots of water raining on the exhibitions. Many of the exhibitions seem like they have been in the same place since the building was constructed, and while interesting in 2010, could get some serious love, besides just duct tape.
The only reason for 3 stars is the Mars exhibit - the redeeming factor which makes it somewhat worth visiting.

I did enjoy my time here however I feel there was a lot of empty space that could be utalised.
There are loads of interactive installations however the audioguide is rubbish, very few of the installations have the audioguide for them, it was only €1 but it is very poorly designed.
The museum and its facilities were clean when I visited.
No queue for tickets (Tuesday afternoon in February) and I spent around 1 1/2 hours here.

We came for the Pixar exhibition which was amazing. I was blown away by how much work goes I to making the famous films come to life. There were many familiar statues and models of characters from Toy Story to more recent films along with interactive booths to give you hands on experience with the techniques used to make these characters and scenes.
Outside of the Pixar exhibition we say many great booths giving insight into many aspects of science. I liked the memory area and there was also a really interesting booth that showed how much water is in your body by filling up a massive tube. There were many more booths with similar interactive insights, too many to list here.
Definitely worth a visit.

Museu Nacional de Ceràmica i de les Arts Sumptuàries Gonzàlez Martí
The Museo Nacional de Cerámica y Artes Suntuarias González Martí is a grand palace museum that showcases an extensive collection of ceramics and artworks. The 18th-century exterior is ornate and impressive. The museum explores the history of ceramics from baroque to modern times, with informative displays on the ground floor, which also features a lavish hand-painted carriage from 1753.
Besides its stunning façade, the exhibition inside the museum is worth visiting too. You can scan the QR codes to read the infomation in several languages (Spanish, Valencian, English, French). The entrance is free on Saturday in the afternoon and on Sunday.

Best place to take social media content! The outside of the building has a spectacular architecture and it’s so pretty, however the inside is incredible too! Although the name suggest it’s all about ceramics, as it’s a palace museum, you can also enjoy the riches of the palace as each room is distinct and has its own beauty. The tickets cost €3 which I believe is super cheap for how big this museum is and you can spend all day in there taking pictures as it’s such a stunning place!

The Torres de Serranos is a historical landmark in Valencia that offers incredible views of the city and river. The gate was built between 1392-1398 and formed a key part of the medieval wall that encircled all of Valencias Old Town. It is now open to the public who can climb up to the top for an amazing view.
Just an amazing structure...this tower is only 2 of the remaining watch towers left from the original 13 towers which surrounded Valencia in the Medieval times. The Wooden doors are the original doors ...You can pay a minimum fee of around 2€ to enter but worth every penny...great views of the river in front and surrounding area.

I love this historical site so much! Not only is it on the edge of town and was the first fortress to guard the town you can see the existing mote and bridge from its origin.
I loved the views of the city and the amazing panoramic tour you get from the very top.
The one caveat is that the steps are very hard and tall steps that wouldn’t be good for elderly or any physically challenged person. There are some steps that have minimal hand rails so going down is very jaunting.
A must see when you visit beautiful Valencia.

view is almost the same as from the Cathedral’s bell tower BUT
-only 2€
-fewer people
-stairs are easier to climb
-stairs are all outside, so the air isn’t stiff
Definitely recommend, if you want to see Valencia from above!! (if you’ve already been to the bell tower, than you can just walk around the gate without climbing)

A must-see in Valencia! Huge, breathtaking towers that used to be the city gate. Nowadays you can walk through the huge gate into the old town and feel the medieval atmosphere.
I definitely recommend to climb the stairs. There's no entry fee. Visit the top of the towers and enjoy the great view over Valencia. It's good not to have fear of heights though ;)

A beautiful old fortified tower that's free to visit.
I loved the open spaces and the views over the city.
Do pay attention to the high steps (30cm ish) and there are quite a few of them.
Marco de Groot — Google review
Worth visiting! Be aware that you will need to climb multiple sets of stairs!
Views from the top are amazing. Even though entrance is free, you need to get a ticket at the office located on the left side of the towers (old city side).
Alejandra Aboud Keenan — Google review
Old town gates that are in perfect condition and you can climb here.
As Valencia doesn’t have a lot of view points, it could be the good one. In May 2024 tickets cost only 2 euro, no big queues either. A lot of points from where you can make a good photo.
However, be careful if you are afraid of heights. There are some open spaces (i.e. without protecting glass/with low fence) and some may feel uncomfortable.
Tatiana Gangina — Google review
Free to enter (we got a free ticket by following the signs but no one checked it anyway) and relatively good views across the city. There aren’t any stand out sights and you do see a lot of TV aerials, but still…it was free and worth the effort.

This castle is so beautiful! It used to protect the city El Carmen from intruders. It’s surrounded by a huge mote. There are slits in the walls from where they used to shoot arrows from. The reason it’s still standing is because it served at a prison after being used as a way to protect the city. There used to be a thick wall attached to it that eventually got knocked down but you can see the remains on the side.
You can walk up it for free during open hours. You can get a nice view from up there. Around that area is a ton of little shops and restaurants as well as the bus stop.
Gina Britt — Google review
One of the two towers/gates to València that still stand. you can visit the outside at no charge or pay a small fee and enter. Those physically able can climb to the top

Great monument as a reminder of past wars and that cities were build as fortresses to protect citizens. I liked also bas-relief placed on the building.
Alek Korneev — Google review
Wonderful castle. You can see where they fought the old battles to win over the city.. can imagine what it must have been like to be a soldier in the front line of the way fighting to keep the city.
Now it is great for tourists to visit. Even if you arw afriad of heights it is work visiting as there is plenty to see and do.
Would suggest taking sun cream in the hot weather and an umbrella during winter time as most of the old castle is outdoors.

A superb gateway in what was once part of the Valencia city defensive walls in the Middle Ages. In wonderful condition with amazing views from it's ramparts. A must-see visitor attraction in an incredible City that everyone must visit!

One of the main gates to the city, historically speaking. Very grand. Can pay to enter and walk to the top for views, however its not tall enough for great pictures.

When in Valencia, I recommend it is a must-visit for its rich history and breathtaking views. This iconic landmark offers a glimpse into Valencia's past as a medieval city while providing panoramic views of the surrounding area from its elevated vantage point. It's an ideal spot for history buffs, architecture enthusiasts, and anyone seeking stunning vistas of Valencia's skyline.

Església de Sant Nicolau de Bari i Sant Pere Màrtir
Sant Nicolau de Bari i Sant Pere Màrtir is a Gothic-style Catholic church with an opulent baroque interior, featuring elaborate gilding and ceiling frescoes. Although located a distance away from other attractions, it is deemed worthy of a visit, being dubbed the "Sistine chapel of Valencia." The intricate Catholic figures and chapels within the church are impressive, complemented by the fascinating architecture.
It's a quaint church, located a bit far from the rest of the attractions but definitely worth a visit. They call it the "Sistine chapel of Valencia", a well deserved nickname in my opinion. The paintings are beautiful, the ornate Catholic figures and little chapels inside the church are simply incredible. The architecture is fascinating and the free audio guide is definitely a nice touch.
I would visit this church over and over. Such an amazing experience.

This is an unbelievable experience. Stunning art and beautiful architecture. I have been to Valencia many times and somehow missed it. It should be on the top of any visitor’s list. The people running the church are wonderful and very helpful. Audio guide is included with your ticker and you can even use your phone. The entrance is down a side alley so look for it but usually someone is by the sign to direct you inside.
Aaron Ochse — Google review
When I read about this church I thought oh no, not another kitschy hyperbaroque escapade. They call it Sistine Chapel of Valencia. But when I actually entered it...yes, flamboyant, but still with character, balanced. I stayed here much longer than in the Cathedral nave, the atmosphere somehow caught me. Definitely visit and try to feel it. Perhaps it will be worthy, who knows.

An almost must see if you're into the Gothic style. This Roman Catholic church is stunning for it's murals and ceilings. Well hidden in the old city of Valencia between houses. Look at the opening hours (closed on Monday's), they may vary. Look at the pictures what to expect. Audio tour is available and inclusive. Price for adults is € 9.

This Church is a little jewel. In my opinion the highlight is the cealing full of frescoes and fantastic finishing touches. Who goes to Valencia, must visit this Churc.

must visit.
I got a €4 reduction from €11 due to being an old g#t.
The place is so full of Catholic bling. I have seen the Sistine and whilst not as wonderful it is still quite something.
The free audio tour is worth using, though the amount of information is mind blowing. I am glad I don't have to sit an exam to show my recall.
I took lots of photos and videos to help me recall.
my visit.
The time to get round is probably minimum 20 mins but half an hour is better.

Artwork is astonishing. Normally not a church guy but this is truly stunning. Recommend going full hardcore tourist and taking the audiotour. You can scan it with a QR code. Very easy.
If you have a artsy bone in your body check it out

Our first time in Valencia and was told not to miss this church. This was one of the most beautifully painted churches I have been to. The paintings on the ceilings of the lives of Saint Peter Martyr and Saint Nicholas are amazing as well as the many chapels around the church. There is an audio guide where you can listen to the history as you walk around admiring the paintings.

Outstanding, impressive art. Very well put together its history by audio phones included in the entrance. This is a must see. The Sixtine Chapel of Valencia.Entrance fee was 9 euros provinding audio phones and an explanatory pamphlet in English and Spanish.

The Museu Faller de València is home to over 80 figures saved from the annual Fallas festival parades, which originated from burning old branches and bad things from the past year. The museum provides informative signs and posters documenting the history of this tradition. It offers a great insight into Valencia's local history before exploring the streets during Fallas. Visitors can admire beautiful Ninots while learning about this unique tradition through well-done displays.
It doesn’t matter if you have been in Valencia during Las Fallas or not; this museum is worth visiting. It captures the most important festival of this city very well. There are some information in English available. Besides the Ninots, I enjoy seeing all the cool posters from previous years. The entrance fee is very affordable, and it’s free on Sunday.

Excelente visit! I went totally unaware of what to expect as I only followed the Fallas lightly on TV and didn't get the chance to read about it before going here. I most say I am still impressed by the quality, design and imagination put into such art pieces; I almost feel sad for those which has not been saved by the Fallera mayor. Just go, you cannot find better local art than here.

Great place to visit before going to explore the streets in Valencia during the Fallas. Beautiful
Ninots and very nicely documented posters and informative signs of the history. The displays are well done and we got to understand this tradition better! It was busy but we saw everything in 30mins. We paid 2Euro for adult and 1Euro for kids above 7. Well worth it!

Fascinating and low-key museum containing Fallas ninots (dolls) that have been pardoned (saved from burning) from each year, dating back to the 1930s. Free entrance on Sundays. It takes about an hour to check everything out.
It is conveniently located right next to the City of Arts and Sciences, should you want to explore further. The neighbourhood of Mont Olivet is also a nice place to visit and explore.

Quite interesting to walk around and see the history of the city through the fallas sculptures.
The posters are great too - a walkway through time and art of the city.
The translations throughout are a bit rough. Including one that somehow says "cumshot" instead of "dash". A bit too loose on the Google translate, I think.
Tam Finlay — Google review
A lot bigger than expected and very interesting to see why the ninots were selected. You can admire a few hundred of these, with some history of the Fallas going with it. Takes an hour, at least, if you wish to fully understand the mentality of the town.
Raphael De Wilde — Google review
Incredibly interesting museum with a vast collection of Fallas that reflect the history of the Fallas festivities. If you are travelling to Valencia outside of the Fallas Festivities it's definitely worth a visit to this museum!
J Nazarali — Google review
Entrance is cheap, and it was definitely worth the money and seeing history of Fallas.
Ivo Marevic — Google review
After every Falles (Fallas) festival, all the ninots (the wooden constructions you see in the pictures) are burned in the 'la cremà' fire, except for one "adult" and one "baby" ninot that are "pardoned". The museum has kept all the pardoned adult ninot since 1934, and since the first exposition of the baby ninots, they have also kept all the pardoned baby ninots.
You can easily spend up to an hour getting lost in the two story tall museum, serving as a window into the history - "the spirit (geist)" if you will - of Valencia, quite literally.
Yet, if you have been to any Fallas in person, you will have noticed a lot of political satire, a lot of radical and candid expressions that will never get past the voting ground (context: the pardon is decided by the popular vote). It makes you wonder, especially during the Franco era, what were the ninots like that didn't survive the la cremà?
The entrance is two euros, with discounts for students etc. No waiting time.
Museo de Soldaditos de Plomo L'Iber is a unique historical museum that features an extensive collection of miniature figures. With over 95,000 toy soldiers, the museum showcases various themed rooms that fantastically recreate many of history's great battles. Despite its slightly dumpy appearance and rough around the edges presentation, these tiny works of art are hard to look away from. The museum offers a treat for grownups who enjoy history and scenes displayed with great attention to detail.
If you like model soldiers, or Spanish history, or just something really different, this is a great little museum. Models from prehistory to recent history, and so many - one battle sene alone has 4500 pieces!!! But as well there are weddings and funerals, christenings and treaty-signings: well worth a visit!

Yes. They had me at a collection of 95,000 toy soldiers. The museum is honestly a little dumpy and underwhelming. It seems more a labor of love than a true museum. And while it is a bit rough around the edges, the presentation of these toy soldiers as they fantastically recreate many of history's great battles makes it hard to look away. I like my history, and I never heard of half of the battles recreated here. The soldiers themselves are tiny works of art. 95,000 tiny works of art. Wow. Budget about an hour. It won't hold the attention of most kids. But what a treat for the grownups.

Accidentally stumbled on this museum, looking for Musea de prehistorica and so glad I did. As a classist, the models of historical incidents and landmark moments brings the ancient world to life. The artist most certainly indulged himself with some figures (death of Seneca, for example), but all the best to them! I hope there is one in London soon, as it would awaken the imagination of school children and students and bring history to life. Loved it!
A TheSpur — Google review
Wow, the work put into this place is beyond phenomenal. I wish them all the success. Run by, I understand, a group of private individuals, this entire place is an impressive body of work and labour of love. I have no idea of the quantity of models there are here, but it's a lot! The dioramas are a joy to behold, the individual scenes and pieces. Just pure wow.
Then of course, the building in which the whole is housed is something to behold also. It's a gothic styled palace that was once home to the marquis de malferit.
Graham Rainey — Google review
Best museum I've ever been to it would be 10 stars/10 if I could rate it like that. Over 20 rooms of amazing figures. Wide range.
Sant Joan de l'Hospital is an opulent Catholic church, constructed in Valencia circa 1238 after the Reconquest. It is one of the oldest churches in Valencia and boasts a gothic interior with minimal post-gothic decor. The simple geometry and heavy dark stone walls suggest that it was built soon after the Romanesque Age. The church has historical significance as it predates Muslim mosques and was even a place of worship for Romans before that.
Simple and beautiful 13th church in the heart of old town Valencia. You might miss it if you don’t wander a bit off the beaten path away from the main cathedral. It’s in a courtyard, not obvious from the street. Once in the courtyard there are interesting statues and stations of the cross done on hand painted tiles and set into the stone walls so that people can walk the stations in the courtyard. Always amazes me to experience history in such a beautiful, old structure.

Sant Nicolau de Bari i Sant Pere Màrtir is a Catholic church designed in Gothic style, boasting an elaborate baroque interior featuring gilding and frescoes on the ceiling. Restored recently to its former glory, this single-naved church found down a passage is simply stunning. The ceiling is adorned with painted baroque artistry, filled with cherubs that could rival those seen in documentaries on childhood obesity.

Super beautiful church. If you are into paintings and Catholicism, this is your place to be. Entrance is €10 and includes an audio guide that takes you through the church and the meaning of their paintings.
In my opinion the guide was a bit incomplete, since you miss some information regarding some paintings.

Such grandeur and ostentatious artwork does beg the question how all the amazing artefacts, paintings and statues could be afforded by such a poor community.

I usually do not review churches on Google but this one is the one to remember for long time!
You can feel it from the moment you enter.
The only thing i will mention is that it took 3 years to paint the whole church which is inspired from Sistine chapel in Vatican.

The sistine chapel of Valencia might be a bit of a stretch. We had high expectations and it is a very nice church with very friendly staff and good audioguide. But the church is actually on the smaller side if compared to some italian churches. Ornately designed but not exactly breathtaking. Feels very calm to be here. Not exactly a must visit but still worth a visit.

This is more of a business than a church. We entered for a mess for free and wanted to quickly look around before it starts, but were approached by staff and told in a not very polite manner that we have a right to only sit and wait for mess, if we want to look around we need to pay 10 Euro. Very unpleasant experience, not only they want entrance fee from you, they collect money during mess from people and next to every altar they placed a donation box. Just a facility to make money. Ceiling is nice but I would never pay that much money just for that. There’s so much staff watching your every move and instructing what you can or cannot do that they might as well have blindfolded us to make sure we are not looking around for free.

I’d looked at the pictures before but it really is like the Sistine chapel, and without guards shouting at people so even better.
Free audioguide was a good take to understand some back story to the various shrines.
Probably spent 45 minutes there in total along with some sitting down time looking at the details.
Don’t assume the lady at the front is the ticket lady, she is most definitely not. Go down the alley to the actual ticket office

The Museu del Patriarca is a museum of religious art that is located in a 16th-century seminary founded by San Juan de Ribera. It features an exceptional collection of works by renowned artists such as Caravaggio, El Greco, Jose de Ribera, and Juan de Juanes. The museum showcases a stunning Renaissance courtyard-cloister and houses an impressive manuscript written by Thomas More during his confinement at the Tower of London.
Not to be missed if you are interested in art history. The tiny museum belongs to a working seminary and has major works by heavyweights such as Caravaggio and El Greco. You can get up & close to the paintings and really marvel at the brush strokes and details of each work. Also has a manuscript by Thomas More. €5 admission is a bargain and supports the funding of the museum.

Estació del Nord is a charming train station that offers connections to various cities, including Barcelona. The station features an array of coffee shops and stores for travelers to enjoy. Its beautiful decor includes colorful mosaics, particularly in the office on the right side. The facilities are well-maintained and there are plenty of cafe options available. While customer service may be slow at times, the staff is generally helpful.
A pretty train station in Valencia, close to all the main tourist objectives and very convenient for tripa to other cities.
There are many cafes, shops and even a hostel inside.

The train station is a beautiful place, you can take the trains to go to another cities like Barcelona. And here also you can find a lot of coffee shops, stores and more. The decoration is lovely, you should visit the big office in the right side, the place decorated with colourful mosaicos is great!

Old school train station. But you can get a meal and snacks as needed. It's very close to the main city center and all metro stops. Just a classy train station.

I am really sure that is the most beautiful, amazing and remarkable railway station in the world. Every its rooms is a masterpiece of art, contaminated by arabic style. A typical style that you can find only in the Mediterranean Spain. This is the best artistic place in Valencia.

Beautiful old train station. I love the interior decoration; it is all covered with mozaic ornaments and paintings. On the right from the entrance there is a small hall where you can see some fantastic mozaic images giving you an idea what Valencia is famous for: silk, oranges, climate and ceramic goods. Sometimes they organize expositions in this hall as well.
The Hemisfèric is a giant, human-eye-shaped building in Valencia that houses a laserium, planetarium and IMAX cinema. It's one of the best places to see in Valencia, with its outstanding architecture and impressive programming.
Some of the best experiences here are during the sunset.
You don't need a fancy wallet or camera to get beautiful pictures here at sunset.

Amazing from the outside, but as a movie theater it's just not good. I watched 'Secrets of the Universe' and it's kind of boring. Maybe for children it would be good. It doesn't take advantage of the IMAX screen. The place is beautiful and a cool spot for pics but I don't think it's worth it to pay for a ticket.
Andr?s Zamudio — Google review
Honestly it's just a movie theater with a slightly more inconvenience than necessary. Of course the piece I wanted to see was also off due to technical difficulties, so I didn't even get to see what I paid for. Really not worth the money or time, even for the correct piece.

A good idea to experience it if you haven’t done before, but ultimately probably only something to do once. I saw the Oceans documentary which was good, however, the two main points are the audio quality which is heavily hindered by headphones to allow for multiple different languages. And secondly the screen itself, whilst it is interesting personally I think the seats are too far forward relative to the screen which makes it impossible to see the full image and very difficult to direct the focus of the image. Simultaneously whilst it is great to get the huge image at least with this film I feel the picture quality suffers slightly from being enlarged so much. Very cheap so definitely something I’d recommend trying but could turn out slightly disappointing.

Pretty good experience. The architecture was stunning and the interior was just as nice. We took the show Flying Monsters 3D.
The show was nice but if you are not a native speaker there are issues. First of all, the headphones didn’t fit and the sound is not loud enough. In the end we fixed that by wearing them this way. (Shown below)
The image quality could be improved, though overall the show and experience was wonderful.
I would defenitely go again👍

Wow, this is unexplainable experience! You hsve to go and see it! We went for 11am projection and loved it so much so we book one more projection for 6pm. We loved it so much! It is like beyond real world, like you are literally inside the ocean and space. Experience for whole life 💜

Lovely buildings in this park. However the cinema is tired and outdated. We saw mysteries of the universe. It was an old film and the info is nothing new these days. The headsets were pointless. Watching an English film, dubbed into Spanish and then listening to the English audio over the top was impossible, they are so quiet over the loud speakers. Luckily the film was so boring it didn't matter.

Review for middle of October 2023, my second visit here in 17 years, as a tourist:
Exterior:
Hemisfèric is an architectural masterpiece as all Ciudad des Arts buildings. A visual treat for all ages. Nice lit by the sun (during the day) or illuminated by artificial lights at night. I enjoyed walking & biking around it.
Interior:
Here things could be improved:
-everything is underground, like tickets, toilets access to "cinema" itself.
-there is a cafeteria, a gift shop.
-there are 2 kiosks for selling tickets, one of the wasn't accepting my card (no contactless, no inserting card with chip, no sliding the magnetic strip), so I had to redo the booking where it worked flawlessly from the first try.
(yes, I was lazy and didn't book online since the beginning)
-exiting from cinema forces you again to go underground (pass near cafeteria and souvenir shop) all in crowded spaces with people stopping like animals wondering about something. The guard did not let me exit towards the exterior where other non paying tourist were walking uninterrupted...
-cinema - it shows it's age (it definitely requires an update).
- cinema video 🎭: It's nice to have everything projected on the inside of a sphere, however considering 2020+ TV screens I have access to experience is not that massive. I was bothered by the lower image quality projected. 🚫
- cinema audio 🎶: a lousy experience if you're not Spanish native. Sound is projected in the chamber in Spanish, and for English/French you get a headset to wear. The headset is not covering your ears, so I constantly heard Spanish from the room and moments later the English from the headset which was at maximum level.
(above comments for the Oceans movie)
I did return to bring my kid into this experience, being the first time she enjoyed it a lot. I won't return for a projection here another time unless they bring a new technology.
If you managed to read until here, congrats! Do hit 👍 if you agree or found information shared valuable.

Experience itself was OK. If you want to watch a show in other language than spanish then you might regret it. Headset which plays your desired language is no badly designed that speakers are not close to the ears and on full volume you will hear your language a lot quieter than spanish language played in the dome.
Visually - great.
Audio - terrible.

Hemisfèric is a remarkable and spectacular building designed by Santiago Calatrava that represents a huge human eye, the eye of wisdom. The Hemisfèric was inaugurated in 1998 and was the first building in the City of Arts and Sciences to open its doors to the public. It is a spectacular construction designed by Santiago Calatrava, with an ovoid roof over 100 metres long that contains in its interior the large sphere that constitutes the projection room.

Wedding - Insane building from the architecture designers and engineers. Amazing place to have an event or even a party, the price for booking the place for a day I imagine is worth it, great ambience thanks to all the employees, nice lights to enjoy the late night party. - It really looks like a whale. But was too rainy in the end, to were like in a swimming pool without any umbrella outside :(

An absolutely amazing experience. I saw here the projection of Oceans, an amazing adventure about marine world. The chairs are very confortable, the staff very nice. It was a surreal 50 minutes experience. The ticket is around 8 euros for a movie. Inside it is a nice cafe bar with fresh drinks at resonable prices.

At time of writing the best show by far is the Oceans: Our Blue Planet. The hemispherical done is really immersive - sit back and center.
Camera movements can be disconcerting for the nausea-prone, close eyes for that.
They hand out headsets for English or Catalan voiceovers. The other show trailers seemed bad - mostly 40 minute animated films, like a Finding Nemo ripoff.
Oceans took us to the coral reefs, the mangroves, the temperate seas, the open ocean, the deep sea, and the arctic.
I saw the tuskfish opening a clam using coral as a tool.
An octopus covered itself with shells as armor against a shark.
Dolphins pinned a massive school of lantern fish against the surface, becoming a feeding frenzy also for tuna, manta rays and whales.
Deep sea creatures indescribably alien.
Otters dove for sea urchins, and walrus mums and pups struggled to find sea ice to rest on.
Graham Poulter — Google review
Personally I won't recommend it to non Spanish speakers.
The exterior were undoubtedly very cool and raised the expectations. The shows are just in Spanish and they provide the headphones for other languages. The audio in the headphones were not at all clear(because of auditorium sound)
The show last around 45-50 min.
Although you can take combination ticket with Science museum at around 13€.
Udit Mehta — Google review
The exterior architecture of this building is just stunning and I really appreciate the whole Ciudad complexity. However, the interior of the Hemisféric building is nothing extra and the cinema? Absolute tragedy. Terrible sound and bad image quality. I thought the spheric shape would make it interesting but it only made the whole movie experience worse.
Veronika Hniličková — Google review
A warped and stretched experience that takes the IMAX format and just makes it worse by projecting inside a sphere.
Compared to any other modern cinema screen, or even a 200 EUR home TV, the image quality, sharpness, vividness, color reproduction, contrast, dynamic range and even sound are all much worse.
Stay at home if you don't want a disappointing blast from the past that may have been somewhat cool 20 years of imaging technology ago.
Ondřej Řepík — Google review
The building is wonderfully crafted and it is cohesive with the rest of the complex. However, don’t bother with the movies: the headset is useless if you don’t know Spanish, the sound is very low and you don’t understand a thing. And the selection is highly outdated, the resolution is not suitable for the projection - they frankly haven’t aged well and it shows that they are stuck in the past (the latest movie that runs is from 2018).
Laura Nisioiu — Google review
Do not go here unless you are fluent in Spanish. They advertised it as having English, but the film was shown in Spanish so loudly, I could not hear the English translation with the very poor earphones they provided. Do not attempt if you are English-speaking. Cool building from the outside. Just don't waste your money on an IMAX film there.

Building and Cinema is cool but those "headphones" for the english audio is not. Really poor audio quality
The market Mercat de Colón is a beautiful example of Art Nouveau Architecture and is one of the most popular markets in all of Valencia. The market has been operating since 1914 and still contains a variety of small, local businesses. It is an excellent place to buy fresh produce, fish and meat. Sometimes, there are events taking place in the market hall such as live music or art exhibitions.
Food hall with some options for eating tapas or having a drink. It has 2 levels. Nice building. Worth a quick visit to have a snack or enjoy a beer or a glass of wine.

Really nice gourmet market to spend some hours tasting amazing food with a great ambiance. Its architecture is very special and just checking the building is worth the visit. Also a great place to buy good cheese, meat, chicken, fish or cold meats. Located in a very centric and nice neighborhood, surrounded by different shops and good transportation. Totally recommend visiting. Could be compared to Madrid’s San Miguel market, but less busy and maybe not as popular.

Attractive and interesting multi restaurant market conversion. It's on the ground floor and in the basement. It feels quite upscale but varies from cheaper to more expensive offers. There are some food shops to; meat fish and vegetables plus wine.
It's set in a nice part of town as well. It has maybe a dozen or so places to eat plus a var or two. I didn't count.

Architecturally stunning in every way. There are only about 10 spots to eat with minimal variety. They have some tapas places, some coffee
Spots with pastries and seafood and meat. There’s random vintage and second sellers set up with retail tables. Centrally located to alot.

Beautiful place! With a fantastic facade, combining ancient and contemporary architecture. The interior follows the same lineage, with a solid and simple construction. Without being a huge market, it holds varied offers. Inside, for a moment, it seems to transport us to a railway station from other times, with its pillars and metallic arches. A place to visit

Nice place to get some shade, cool down, grab a drink and refresh yourself after exploring the city on a hot day. There are coffee place type areas upstairs. Downstairs will be the restaurant type area as well as a deli.
The art nouveau exterior is definitely unique and strikes some resemblance to the North Train station — they were probably built in the same era. Do grab a horxata or a cafe cortado while taking your break in this lovely edifice.

Another beautiful market hall but this time not with the smaller stands but built in shops and restaurants. It loses a bit of the charm of the original building, other than that still a nice place to go and for a late dinner or some drinks.

I guess it’s better during warm season, we wanted to stop for our breakfast in December and it was rather fresh, as the market itself is an open one. Otherwise, it’s an Interesting exemple of an art nouveau. Not an actual market, rather a food court , better be visited for lunch or dinner.
The Queen's square in Valencia is a historically significant space that has played an important role in the city's history. It is surrounded by contemporary buildings, but the space has been open since the Middle Ages and contains features such as the cathedral exterior and bell tower of Valencia Cathedral. The square is currently under construction, but it is hoped that after it is completed, it will become one of the most popular tourist destinations in Valencia.
Under construction but I can’t wait to see what it will be like after the big trucks are finished haha. Nice restaurants and a delicious ice cream place

Placa de la Reina is a very pleasant place to visit. If you are into imposing buildings, then there are many of interest to see. However, the inevitable souvenir shops are everywhere to see, matched by an equal array of food outlets from the internationally familiar ones, to the locals competing for the same crowd. There are also several drinking places, as well as street food vendors, so you won't go thirsty or short of a snack or two. Otherwise, find a place to sit down and watch the world go by, mainly Spanish people with their families enjoying themselves on a day out. Disfruta.

Plaza de la Reina in Valencia is a true testament to the city's rich history and vibrant culture, making it an absolute must-visit destination. This charming square effortlessly blends old-world charm with modern vitality, creating an enchanting atmosphere that captivates visitors of all ages.
The architecture surrounding the square is a sight to behold. The iconic Cathedral of Valencia, with its stunning blend of Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque styles, dominates the skyline. Its intricate details and awe-inspiring beauty make it a must-see landmark for history and architecture enthusiasts.
But Plaza de la Reina offers more than just architectural marvels. It's a lively hub of activity. You can sit at one of the numerous cafés or restaurants that line the square and watch the world go by while savoring delicious Spanish cuisine.

Very busy large Plaza which was revamped one year ago. Unfortunately, to cater for underground parking the trees, shrubs and fountains which gave the area character were remove leaving a sterile expanse surrounded by shops and eateries. Steel poles with floodlights are tied together with triangular tarpaulins, presumably to create shade but since there's no reason to stop under them the only purpose they serve is to obstruct the view of the beautiful historic buildings surrounding.
The shiny slabs which cover the ground are already discoloured.
Best part of the presentation is a board showing how lovely the Plaza was before modernisation.
The Bullring of Valencia is a large, historic bullfighting ring in Valencia, Spain. It is still used for bullfights today and makes an impressive location for outdoor concerts in the warmer months.

A piece of culture that may be seeing its last number of years. The ring itself is beautiful, well kept and you can feel the history when you walk in. The bull fights themselves are definitely a personal item but no one can say that the bullfighters are fearful. To walk into a ring and stare down, goad and shake a finger at a 550kg animal bred to be aggressive is a testament to their bravery.

The city hall of Valencia is a prestigious building located in the heart of the city center. Completed in 1904, it was designed by a number of prominent Valencia architects and features a marble staircase and a history museum. I’m not a fan of most modern art finding it to usually be unattractive, simplistic or incomprehensible. However this gallery is well laid out and has free entry. There were the usual inexplicable pieces and those with excessively wanky art-speak explanations but there was also a person in one gallery who explained the exhibition and the cultural significance of”fires” in Valencia. Interesting architecture by David Chipperfield, but the place was a little empty.we ate at the restaurant at the bottom of the building, and for such a huge place, there were only very few people. Nice place by the beach with a view of the port and good food. The staff were very accommodating as we didn’t have a reservation and were 6 people. We managed to get a place by the water and the food options were great. The starters were amazing and the rice was more than enough for all of us. All staff were very tentative. Highly recommend coming here for lunch. The prices are more expensive than the usual places but it is worth it for the views and atmosphere. Will definitely come again.

A spectacular building set on the waterfront. After many years of neglect and standing vacant there are now restaurants on the 3 floors. The restaurant on the upper deck has a panoramic view of the marina, docks and the Mediterranean in the distance. Well worth a visit if your budget can stand it.

We had bookerd a table outside for new tours day lunch. When we arrived we were advised that we could not sit in the sun. It became very obvious that the head waitress was completely unwilling to assist or show any flexibility at all. Service was slow, dishes were missed and wine forgotten etc.
Can only not recommend!

Such a bad organizing, if you once go out during an event the workers don‘t warn you that you can’t come in anymore even though you paid 30€ just to get into the club plus one free beverage, music wasn’t nice either if you want something more international. I would never visit there again for that price, big disappointment for me and my friends who where just visiting.
The Església de Sant Joan del Mercat in Valencia, Spain is a historic Catholic church that boasts a triangular bell tower adorned with saintly statues. Also known as the Real Parroquia de los Santos Juanes or San Juan del Mercado, the church is situated near the Central Market and Llotja de la Seda building. Sadly, despite its beauty and significance, the church has been defaced by graffiti vandals.
Under renovation. Looks like it will take years before they finish. Not worth the ticket price.
Kent Wang — Google review
The church was originally built as a hermitage on the site of an old mosque in 1240. It had to be reconstructed in the 14th and 16th centuries due fire damage. Its baroque style dates back to the end of the 17th and the beginning of the 18th centuries.

We did this on a combo ticket tourist thing and it's currently not really worth visiting. So much is covered with tarps and cloths that it was hard to find the features that were being pointed out in the audio program. The last station #12 was the most interesting cause it actually referenced the scaffolding that was in place and some of the problems they have had with renovating that one little chapel. I'd suggest the whole program would be more interesting if it was geared to the renovation. I saw some good pictures of the bells pre renovation here on Google. Why did they change the structure that the bell hangs from? We'll never know, but that sort of thing would be interesting.

If you go to the market, let me rephrase that, after you go to the market pop outside and take a look at this amazing church. Such craftsmanship and artwork into these buildings. Please post tribute to them. So cool. So. So. Cool. It is under renovation so please be mindful. But enjoy the exterior. Interior entrance was under some scaffolding but we did not go in.

We lived 2 weeks across from it. For me it means Valencia. Just awesome from the outside, a little bit disappointing în the inside. It confirms, after all, the old saying:" visit churches on the outside and bars from the inside"

The church was closed when we got there. Beautiful architecture with such historical value. Just so sad to see all the terrible graffiti sprayed on the church. Hopefully the authorities will take harsh action against the perpetrators who show such disrespect.

Santos Juanes or Sant Joan del Mercat is a Roman Catholic church located in the Mercat neighborhood of the city of Valencia, Spain. The church is also denominated the Real Parroquia de los Santos Juanes (Royal Parish of the St Johns) or San Juan del Mercado (Sant Joan del Mercat in Valencian or St John of the Market) due to its location adjacent to the city Central Market and facing the Llotja de la Seda building.

Church is under repair. While it is part of combination ticket of 12€, the church of itself is currently not worth a visit. Audio guide is included but takes too long.

Well, I don’t think it is a good time to visit this church as it’s under restoration now. The staff told me it wouldn’t be ready until 2025/2026.
If you want to go and have a look anyway, I advise you go at 14:00 because the restoration staff pause their work at that time. Then you’d visit it at least without much noise. Otherwise it would be pretty annoying to walk around the church with audio guide in your ears but cannot hear anything from it.
The staff are super friendly btw. I just don’t like the idea that we have to pay for the entrance when it’s not ready for visit.

The Englesia de Sant Joan del Mercat is a Gothic church with a Baroque reconstruction. next to the Central Market and Silk Exchange
It was originally a Gothic building, but due to the reconstructions after the fires, it has Baroque features.
The exterior of the church is beautifully decorated with many details.

At present this church is under extensive restoration that will take a long time to finish. For people who like audio guides, this will be a good place to visit. For those who don't like them then I'd skip this church as it's extensively under restorations which will take a while. I also did not think much of the combo attraction of the silk museum, which is also very audio guide heavy

Nice church currently being restored , an important structure which was badly burnt several times and abandoned during this period. The ceiling frescos are being restored with new techniques and bringing it back to its former glory. They supply you with Audio Headphones which give you a very detailed explanation on each piece.
The Palau de la Generalitat Valenciana, a 15th-century palace that showcases a fusion of various architectural styles, serves as the main headquarters for the Valencia government. While it is generally not open to the public except on specific dates such as during Fallas, guided tours can be arranged via the Generalitat Valenciana website for those interested in exploring its interior.

Big mess in the organization: on Friday the porter said there are several tours on Monday. When I called today they said I was closed for the day. Even at tourist places like this it is hard to find somebody who speaks any language but Spanish. It is a pity the pictures look very nice.

Language assistants working for the community of Valencia in 2022-23 did not receive payment for three months or even longer, leaving some of them with no option but to go home. It’s virtually impossible to live three months without pay and yet it’s a problem that happens to language assistants in this community again and again every year. Please do better, community of Valencia! We can’t do our job sharing our language with Valencian students if we can’t buy groceries!
The Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporània is a repurposed convent which now features contemporary art exhibitions. The CCCC is also the host of numerous cultural events, making it a great day out for all. It's beautiful courtyards and garden make it an excellent place to spend an afternoon or evening.

We stumbled across this place during our visit to Valencia, and decided to enter as the entrance was free! The building itself is worth the visit already, and we saw some very interesting exhibitions too (my personal favourite: the illustrations by Miguel Calatayud). Eventually we spent much more time here than we expected 😀 If you have some time, definitely worth visiting!

What a beautiful place to visit! The building is an old convent and has some lovely calm peaceful and pretty little gardens. So serene. The art was amazing!! And the information about the artists and their work was so good too, with QR codes that link to websites with more information (useful if you're not fluent in Spanish). All free!! We loved it!

Nice place, some interesting art and a lovely courtyard that had been decorated with cool illustrations. And it's free!
Knocked off a star as the staff were extremely unwelcoming - following us about and telling us not to touch anything very sternly when we weren't near anything, getting cross when we went through an exit door rather than the entrance door when it wasn't signposted well, etc. Doesn't leave you feeling calm and happy!

This is my favorite (free!!) museum in the city. The exhibitions are always very thought-provoking, there are wonderful events and lectures, and they often have interactive exhibitions for the whole family. There are three levels of exhibition rooms, the upper dormitory often being overlooked and forgotten. It is a beautiful juxtaposition of modern art with beautiful historic architecture.

beautiful building without a doubt, with so much more potential. There were a few exhibitions going on, some quite good. Set up was chaotic, illumination was quite poor and most of all for only 1 exhibition, the signs were also in English. When I informed why I was told this was what the curator wanted! The exhibitions could be more interesting/ better understood when explanations could be read in an international language. Valencia has many tourists these days. Up your game CCCC!

It is located in several historic buldings, all connected, and from different eras and architectural styles.
The exhibitions I visited were great and diversified.
In the center it has a very peaceful garden, where you can relax.

The Palau de Congressos de València is a modern facility that boasts three auditoriums and an expansive exhibition hall, making it ideal for hosting conferences with multiple tracks running simultaneously. It is conveniently located within a 20-minute drive from the airport and there are several hotels in the vicinity, one of which is situated on the same complex as the convention center.
Great place for conferences, congress and events. 2 big auditorium and several smaller ones. The hall are suitables for exhibition stands. Coffee area and cloack room are available.

I have attended a conference which took place in this world class convention center. There is one big auditorium, three small auditorium and many small rooms for parallel session. There is also a cafeteria, where some basic food can be obtained. This place is well connected by bus, metro and tram lines. Worth attending a conference here.
Sumanta Chakraborty — Google review
Ideal location for a conference. It is close to both a metro and tram stop. For a multi session conference it lacks some of the facilities, besides the two main big auditoriums there are only smaller rooms. The whole building is modernly designed but lacks proper air ventilation. The rooms get easily warm and are ideal to spread covid. Especially in the small rooms the acoustic is not that great, the acoustic in the auditoriums are great. The facilities in the building are good. The event planning organised in the building was quite bad, but probably has more to do with the lack of quality of Kuoni Tumlare. Kuoni Tumlare was not willing to help people infected with covid and encouraged them to go the the conference in person.

I was here for a conference. This place does have many conference rooms of various sizes allowing multiple tracks to be held in parallel. It is approximately a 20 minute drive from the airport. There are many hotels in the vicinity, in fact one of them is in the same complex as that of the convention centre. The others are a walkable distance. Now, if you are in Spain and see oranges on trees on the streets, remind yourself that they are not to be plucked and eaten because they are really meant for pickles and jams.

- the stories of six mummies from the British Museum. For english speakers, you need to scan a QR code and read them from your phone
- exhibition of photos from National Geographic. They are displayed in sections split by their predominant color, however there is no English translation of their description.

ÀGORA is a truly remarkable building that left me in awe with its outstanding architecture. It's unlike anything I've ever seen before, as though stepping into a time machine that transports you to the future. The futuristic design and innovative features make it a sight to behold.
The moment I entered ÀGORA, I was captivated by its sleek lines, unique shapes, and the seamless integration of technology. The building's grandeur and attention to detail are simply breathtaking. Every corner offers a new surprise, making the experience feel like a thrilling journey through time and space.
The interior of ÀGORA is equally impressive. The state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge amenities create an immersive environment that stimulates the senses. The blend of modernity and artistic expression is a testament to the visionary minds behind its creation.

An exhibition site, originally intended to be used as a sports complex, later acquired by CaixaBank and turned into a place with interesting exhibits about arts and history, rotating roughly every 4 months.
I highly recommend you to sign up for a tour of the building itself from the CaixaForum Valencia website (make sure that it's the Valencia one). They will provide you a guide that will explain the captivating design and philosophy of the building. It should be 2 euros per person.
The price is 6 euros per exhibition. There is a discount for the European Youth card, and the whole thing is free if you are a CaixaBank customer. Some popular exhibitions can have a waiting line, and inside there will be a lot of people (like the Egyptian mummy one)

The dance floor is packed all night long and there's always something happening on the weekends, from live DJ sets to impromptu dances.
It’s the best nightclub you can find in the city and if you are thinking of going, it is out located in the center, at the city of arts and sciences. An incredible place to visit, especially at night. This nightclub has different rooms and a huge open terrace in summer season, which is incredible accompanied by a magnificent team and service.
Something that impressed us is that from the moment we entered the club until the moment we left, everyone was super nice to us, waiters, doormen, in general, everyone who worked there. It seemed like a unique place, which without doubt i will return.

I had the worst experience here. I went there with some friends and we all had student bracelets to get a discount. We showed them to the security and they cut it off afterwards. I obviously threw it away after it was cut off but when we wanted to pay the tickets they wanted to see the bracelet again. I tried to explain them that nobody told us to keep the bracelet but they simply didn't listen even though they knew exactly that I had already shown the bracelet. Rude security treating the customers without any respect, especially when u don't speak Spanish very well. It's just all about the money. Instead of 10 euros they wanted us to pay 30 instead so we went home. Wouldn't recommend this club, there are much better ones in Valencia.

Went here this summer, called with the club to purchase tickets; we were told we could buy them at the door
Once we arrived to the club (which is very cool by the way) they told us we couldn’t buy loose tickets at the door and the only way to get in was by buying a €200 bottle.
Staff was also very very rude

Super fun night! The club unfolds in two main areas: Umbracle, outdoors with commercial tunes, and Mya, featuring two covered rooms— one with commercial/electronic beats and the other with reggaeton vibes. One entry, inclusive of a drink, covers it all. Highly recommend buying tickets in advance online to skip the potentially long queues... we were nearly the only ones who had already done so and got in right away, avoiding hours of waiting!

Usually, it's good. But the last time we went we paid 50 euros for a table thinking we would be on the high zone, but they sat us at small tiny table IN THE DANCEFLOOR with no seperation. We spent the night having strangers enter with no bracelet, push the table , take our drinks and put their empty cups on our table. Never go on the weekend because it's a nightmare ! Security didn't do anything to kick these people out , only some poor waiter tried to and got into a fight ! We got sprayed with drinks by accident and my friend got threatened to be punched by a guy because she was pushed and pushed him by mistake. Filled with drunk cheap Erasmus students who have no respect for anyone ! Very disappointed , not worth the price and not recommended !! We didn't feel safe at all and ended up leaving very quickly ! Mya got to work on the security and prices more !

Nice club with an interesting setting that accommodates everyone - those who prefer loud music and dancing and the ones who would want to occasionally go chat and have a nice music on the background as you get farther from the stage. The DJ that night played nice songs to dance to but was not transitioning between them as good and that was a bit of a mood killer.

We had the best night out in Valencia at Mya! Yes you pay 25€ entrance but its a cocktail included and you get an outdoor club with fresh air and great dance music. We really enjoyed the night out and danced until the morning light! It was a bit too crowded probably but still had so much fun!!

Absolutely massive place, booked a table in the RnB room for €250 which was the most popular. Got a bottle of choice with 10 mixers, and skipped the giant queue. Was a smaller room, but the most popular so was good to have a table. Upstairs was the main room but not as busy, deffo looks bigger from the outside.

I love this nightclub and the environment. DJ are good and plants of space. The cocktail is priced as normal around Valencia. If you are hungry is not a place to eat but there is a option there to eat something.
Vivian Vicentini — Google review
The place has a potential, however, there are some things that made the experience not so pleasant. Once you pay the fee to enter, there is an outdoor area, from where you can enter the two dancing rooms. It was very crowded, way more people than these two rooms can fit. So we had to stand in line (30 min) to get to the music. Once we got in, there were so many people that it was almost impossible to dance. In case you want to go out to the outdoor area for a cigarette or just a breath of fresh air, you need to wait another 30 min to enter the DJ room. If you pay 25€ entry fee, it would be nice to know that you can enjoy the music and dance to it freely and not spend half of the evening waiting in line to enter the club part eventually, after you have already been charged for it.

Great club but be sure to get a table. Ridiculously busy outside. We reserved a table and the security outside still tried to get us to queue in the mile long queue. He wouldn't listen when we was explaining our friends are inside, pretty arrogant. Thursdays is reggaeton in the small room, was a good vibe.
Jayna Chana — Google review
Not a good experience. We payed for 2 tables at 150 euros each and during the night the staff gives one of our table to another group with absolutly no compensation whatsoever it was not even in the right room. The staff was rude about it maybe because we are not spanish. The security didn't check for the table to see if people were VIP so we had no space for ourself. Normally for each bottle we should have 10 shots we got none just some bottle of water. Just scandalous.
A club to avoid for sure evenmore if you are a group.
Don't book any table it doesn't woth it

They have an interesting collection from paleolithic thru bronze age times. Including one of the biggest "coffee" cups ever. As you'll learn from visiting the museum there are probably 50 or more sites within 35 or 40 miles of Valencia including numerous caves inhabited from as much as 300,000 years ago. Like many if the museums in Valencia it only costs 2€ at the most, with various discounts depending on age, etc. It was very quiet, not that busy. Nice atmosphere and a lot of educational material. A very enlightening experience. You get to see coins, statues, artifacts, epitaphs, from BC eras which make you think about how fast life is. Also some musings on how Valencia tourism has brought some elements of the culture forward and some elements back. We went around 6pm and were rushing to get to the end of the museum since it closes at 8pm. Maybe spend about 3-4 hours here to get to appreciate it. Portal de Valldigna is a venerable archway with distinct architecture that was constructed in 1440, serving as an entrance to the former Arab quarter. It is a noteworthy Roman arch which has been assimilated into old Valencia's Spanish architectural style. The grey arch contrasts with the vibrant colours of adjacent buildings and can be found in the narrow winding streets of the ancient town.
The absolute best graffiti you’ll see in Valencia! The artist, Victoria Cano Perez, is such a creative and poetic performer, an incredibly thought-provoking and symbolic punch in the stomach.

Portal is simple, but happy we took a walk there because it is in a nice area to explore.

This is a historical Roman arch that has been incorporated into the Spanish architecture of old Valencia. The colours of the buildings around it contrast to the simplicity of the grey arch. It is within the smaller alleyway streets of the old town.

Blink and you'd miss it. Not worth visiting.

A nice & catching area of the town, with a zig zag alley leading to the portal – which is actually a roman arch, embraced by medieval buildings.
The portal has some inscription on the northern side
