Limpopo Zoo is a conventional animal park that offers a diverse array of mammals, birds, and reptiles. Additionally, it features a lush tropical garden to explore. The zoo is an ideal destination for families seeking to spend quality time together in a warm and hospitable atmosphere. Visitors can even feed the animals! However, some may not appreciate enclosures that are relatively small.
It was amazing experience, too many kind of animals including polar bear, tiger 🐅 giraffe 🦒, snakes, and many many others. It is perfect place to spend the holidaysl with family and kids, there is place for the kids to play, and some small cafe shops to buy drinks and rest.
We spent 5 hours without feeling the time. I loved the place and highly recommend it

It's a nice place to go spend the day with kids. There are a good variety of animals.
But if you are someone who doesnt enjoy seeing animals sometimes in small enclosures you might not like this.
Because some enclosures are relatively small!
The positives are that you can get a cart/trolley to pull kids around and they sell specific types of food which you can use to feed the animals they also quite a large zone for kids entertainment.

Fedorovsky embankment is an elevated roadway that runs alongside a beautifully landscaped park. This thoroughfare provides spectacular views of both the Oka River and several significant landmarks within the city. The embankment's design ensures that it blends in perfectly with its surroundings, making it an attractive feature that enhances the area's overall appeal.
The Borskaya gondola lift station is renowned for its breathtaking panoramic vistas and transports passengers across the Volga River, connecting Nizhny Novgorod and Bor. The cable car provides a 13-minute ride showcasing stunning views of Volga ice fishers in winter and lush greens and gentle blues during summertime. The ride peaks at over 80m with a length of 3.6km.
Not bad, not good. The cost of the ticket is 100 rubles. But, the opposite side of the river is underdeveloped and outdated. There is the town named Bor, and there is one cafe, the museum of the local factory, and several churches.

Chkalov Stairs is a notable figure-8 shaped staircase consisting of 560 steps and offering picturesque views. This landmark serves as a crucial connector between the upper and lower parts of the city, making it Russia's largest such structure. Visitors are encouraged to begin their journey at the top for optimal sightseeing opportunities and photo-taking chances. While traversing down, one can also explore John Baptist Church while taking in the refreshing scenery along the waterway nearby.
It's a nice place to visit. I suggest to start from the top and make your way down for better view and pictures. You can continue to walk next to th water and visit John Baptist Church.

Bolshaya Pokrovskaya St is a centuries-old pedestrian street that boasts of numerous landmarks, sculptures, and city squares. The street is famous for its historic buildings, restaurants serving diverse cuisines, street artists, and sellers. State Bank of Nizhny Novgorod is also located along this street. It's a must-visit location in Nizhny especially in the evening when musicians and animal trainers entertain visitors.
(Translated by Google) I think it is the most famous and touristic street of the city. Along the way, there are many shops selling souvenirs that you can buy, especially for touristic reasons. These stores are suitable for every budget, you just need to do a little research. You can think of it as a mini version of Taksim street in Istanbul. (Translated by Google) The main street of Nizhny Novgorod, one of the oldest. Named after the Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which has no longer survived. The street is pedestrian. The buildings on Pokrovka date mainly from the 18th and 19th centuries.
The most beautiful building, in my opinion, is the state bank building, built in 1913 in the neo-Russian style. The chic interiors and paintings inside the building can only be seen when you come here on a tour or during Museum Day in May.
There are two theaters on Pokrovskaya: a drama theater and a puppet theater.
There are many interesting sculptures on the street: a cheerful goat, a policeman, a postman and others, with which modern urban legends are associated.
Street musicians often perform here and artists and craftsmen settle down here.
You can buy souvenirs in large stores and on stalls from street vendors.
Restaurants and cafes for every taste: from pretentious to democratic.
After reconstruction, the pedestrian street was transformed. The imitation of the starry sky at the beginning of the street gives it a fabulous look at night. Updated building facades, long benches with information about historical buildings, and red chairs made the street cozy and comfortable. Be sure to take a photo on the anniversary tram.
Be sure to take a walk along Pokrovka to feel the atmosphere of Nizhny!

Nizhny Novgorod State Museum of History and Architecture
The Nizhny Novgorod State Museum of History and Architecture is housed in a restored 19th-century mansion once owned by the Rukavishnikov merchant family. Visitors can explore the rooms on their own or take one of the hourly tours available in both Russian and English. The museum features changing exhibitions, often centered around household furnishings and objects, which complement the furniture and interior design of the mansion. The museum's ballroom is particularly noteworthy for its stunning beauty.
It's a really nice museum, and actually will take 2-3 hours of your time (a rare thing in small city museums!). Unfortunately there was no audio guide, but we managed with Google translate to figure out the history. There are also some information on the wall in English which actually helps a lot!
It's a gorgeous mansion, which has seen different historical events. The masterpiece for me was the dancing hall, truly captured the essence of rich Russian family events.

The place where you can find many interesting things about Nizhny. It is not big, so I recommend to everyone to visit it.
The Voznesenskiy Pecherskiy Muzhskoy Monastyr', a 14th-century monastery with a rich history, is known for its serene and sacred atmosphere. The site has witnessed the tumultuous events of Russia's past, including the rule of various monarchs and the reign of the Bolsheviks. Despite being constructed in the 13th century, it remains well-maintained and visually stunning.
The place is spiritual and sacred. This monastery has seen rises and falls of Russian monarchs, venom and hatred of the Bolshevics, so it is still one of the best places in Russia to mull over vanity of our life.

Beautiful cathedral..... it's a shame that what we see now is, but a restored copy of the original church.
The external facade has been retained but the interior was completely destroyed during the 20s & during WW2.
All of the iconostases (which were made from gilded wood) were removed & used to heat up the city.
There's also a huge (4m) church bell, at the entrance, with engravings of the patrons of the church & the patriarch of the orthodox church.
Outside the church, there's a series of boards with pictures showing the destruction, rebuilding & reconsecration....
It's a fully functioning church, so please be respectful.

The Gorky Museum is an impressive destination that offers a fascinating look into the history of Russia at the turn of the 20th century. In addition to showcasing the life and work of writer Maxim Gorky, the museum also features exhibits on his contemporaries and the end of tsarist Russia. Visitors can view numerous photos depicting daily life in Russia during this era. The museum is well worth a visit, taking around an hour and a half to fully explore.
(Translated by Google) A very beautiful mansion. We visited on the last day before closing for restoration. Since it was Sunday, there was no one available to give a tour. But the museum curator solved this problem and gave the tour for free. Some of the interiors have been perfectly preserved, some have been lost. The exhibition dedicated to Gorky's 150th anniversary is generally frightening - smooth plasterboard walls covered with gray paint. I hope the restoration will be a restoration and not a repair. There are few well-preserved sites from that era in NN. A must visit.

They say that during the World Cup, fans from different countries hung scarves-mascots of their teams on it. There was a belief: whichever team's scarf is tied the fastest, that team will win the game. It came true!)))

The security officer immediately called my children stupid, even though they weren't doing anything wrong, they were just standing there!

But he continues to scream at the top of his lungs, very unpleasantly. We need to pay attention. This shouldn't happen. This is a city of attractions, this should not happen. And just opposite to the left of the station on the other side, there are beggars, it shouldn’t be like that. Very inconvenient for Russia.

Despite the fact that the paintings were created relatively recently, the feeling of a journey back to childhood remains. We also enjoyed looking at the author’s insight (also presented at the exhibition). Many thanks to the organizers for the homely atmosphere and meeting a very interesting person. It’s a pity that fate didn’t meet him during his lifetime. Be sure to go, you won’t regret it!
