Herrenhausen Gardens is a vast and ornate 17th century garden in Hannover, Germany that is home to one of Europe's tallest fountains and an open-air theater. The gardens are renowned for their beauty in spring and summer, and are also popular as a tourist attraction.
It is a great museum out under the sky. The visitors can see a well planned large park with a system of fountains. They are 10 - 12 huge fountains and ten smaller ones. Around 32 statues from Greek mithology decorate the main garden. Fantastic! Beautiful ! Stunning place !
Daniela Bankova — Google review
Loved it, the Garden was really nice. The only thing I think that they can improve on is the fact that most items in the museum are in German. Here's the catch, not everyone speaks German. So if the have the souvenirs that read in English or the books about botanical garden translated in English for those who can't read nor speak the language that would be awesome. Overall a really nice place to visit with kids, could be use for educational purposes. Well maintained.

Nice place for nature lover. Good and big place. There is entry fee but for students there is offer, which is around 1-2 euro.so it's best for students to travel.
Daxit Lodaliya — Google review
There is an entry fee. If you go during Monday to Wednesday that fee is less, if you are a student from Mon-Wed it costs 1,50 but during the other days it is 4,50 maybe more, depending whether you want to go to the museum or not (which is closed now).
I would advice any person that goes wants to go there to go during spring/summer time, as in winter time there’s no flowers and everything looks a bit dead.
Apart from that, it is such a beautiful place and it has a lot of history.
Karol Giraldo — Google review
There is always a reason to keep coming back here, the gardens are just so beautifully designed and well maintained. Keep your eye out for events over the festival period, makes a great location to take in some culture. Really to get money's worth from admission price, pack a picnic basket and spend an afternoon inside.

Very large and nice gardens, which were made by Kings of Hanover. Entrance fee 8 Eur, parking 5 Eur

Extensive gardens on a monumental scale. The layout is symmetrical and there are many garden rooms you can visit including the re-creation of a Rococo and Baroque garden. Much statuary and many fountains as well.
Martin Witchard — Google review
Really beautiful Garten. We went there on last Friday. Unfortunately the flowers are still blooming.
If you are planning here and sea life you can buy both tickets together with discount prices.
Visit there website before you go then you can find out there special festivals events.

Nice park to walk around. There are some interesting statues and fountains. I think it’s worth getting the combo ticket that includes Berggarten and Herrenhauser.
Cristina Pocol — Google review
One of the nicest places in the region of Hannover. Notes: avoid noon time visits because the fountains stop watering; bring some snacks/drinks for a picnic. I rated 3 stars by comparing it to gardens in other European countries but if you live or are passing by Niedersachsen it’s definitely worth visiting in summer/spring.
Rodrigo Costa Araújo — Google review
A very large Baroque-style garden lined with well-trimmed trees and marble statues. Not all the flowers were in bloom, and the ponds were not super clean. Not crowded nor noisy; a great place to relax.
New Town Hall in Hanover is a beautiful, imposing building with great views of the city. It's also home to a bistro, which is a great place to enjoy the sights and sounds of Hannover.
It is a city hall and was opened 1913, after having been under construction for 12 years. It is a wonderfull, castle-like building of the era of Wilhelm II in eclectic style at the southern edge of the inner city.
Mousa Mousa — Google review
In every angle, this city hall will always deliver a photo perfect view. You can go inside and explore this architecture or go wander outside and walk around the mini lake. During summer, you will see a lot of people enjoying their time having picnic on the garden or chit chatting with their friends and loved ones.

Hanover New Town Hall is a building worth visiting for both history and architecture lovers. This time I looked for architectural lines in it that I had not seen before and this building surprised me again. Spiral staircases, columns, arches, doors, balustrades, the golden ratio, domes, ornamentation, reflections - these are just some of the things that this building delights, encourages discovery and engages. A visit here is a must when in Hanover. Today, the city municipality is located here, maybe that's why entrance without a tour is free. There is also paid parking at the town hall itself.
Paulius Skamarakas — Google review
This is a MUST in your list of places to visit in Hannover.
Unfortunately the access to the terrace and the 360 Panasonic view is currently unavailable because of COVID.
The entrance to the hall is free and you will get surprised by some city representations (after the war, back in the earliest 20s, currently..). It's a beautiful visit.
Tamara Men?ndez — Google review
The New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus) rises with its beauty in the center of Lower Saxony capital just by a small pond and big Maschsee Lake.
It's the seat of Municipal government being built in the early 20c, replacing the old medieval Town Hall which is in Altstadt (old town).
Visiting is totally free except climbing the Dome. Amazing and rich in details architecture both, outside and inside.
Most interesting I found four big and precise models of Hannover over ages.
The first is from 1689 as a fortified medieval town. After that two models from 1939 and 1945 show the city before and after WWII when it was totally demolished, and finally the fourth one represents the modern and prosperous city of today.
Free to visit are also terrific mosaics on the first floor.
Climbing the Dome is paying few Euros, but problem is the waiting time (in our case over an hour) so we didn't make it
Dejan Braki — Google review
In the new town hall you can go inside and see some models of the old town. But for me the beauty on the outside is the most important thing, and it's very well done.
Carina Pissarra — Google review
Unfortunately the tower is closed due to COVID-19 and the end of the season. But still it is very beautiful outside

A great place … the central hall was pointed out to us buy a member of the tourist information. He also recommended a book The Red Thread . Which then had us on a tourist route , great help and well worth the 3€.
The main reason for visit was to ascend the (not straight)lift to the top of the tower , absolutely fantastic and views were as you would expect perfect.
Billy Skipper — Google review
Stunning building with a viewing deck on top of the dome! Only 6 people can go up at a time so there’s a bit of a waiting time but you can stay as much as you want and admire Hannover from above! There are three viewing platform levels that offer a full panoramic view of Hannover.
Christian Laurio — Google review
It is a wonderful Townhall. The building is excellent. The problem is definitely going up with the lift as it is only restricted to 6 people and we have to go to the third floor to take a lift. The waiting time is unfortunately too long. You can buy a ticket for four euro per person at the entrance.
Shri Gupta — Google review
Very nice Rathaus. But still I believe the one in Hamburg is nicer 😁 apparently you can go up and take photos from the top the city. But it is currently closed and opens in spring again
Neda Nahid — Google review
Just the symbol of Hannover! The most beautiful Rathaus I have ever seen. The location near lake makes it even more magnificent. It is worth to go to the observation desk - views are breathtaking and it costs only 4 euro. The unique elevator which takes you to the roof is very interesting too. The only thing is that you have to wait to get there as it only takes 6 people per ride. But totally must visit place. 👍

From where you can see aerial view of the city

It was fascinating, Instagramable ambiance even late afternoon a lot of local tourist visited the place especially the observatory deck. There is entrance fee their cast 4 euro for adults and 3,50 for children closing time at 5:30 pm.

The New Town Hall of Hanover is an absolutely stunning and historic building that is not to be missed. From the moment you set eyes on it, you are struck by its grandeur and beauty. The distinctive clock tower is a true highlight, and the views from the top are breathtaking.
The inside of the New Town Hall is just as impressive as the outside. The grand hall is a true work of art, and the council chamber is a testament to the history and tradition of Hanover. The various other rooms are also worth exploring, and the guided tours are a great way to learn more about the building and its history.
But the New Town Hall is more than just a beautiful building - it is also a thriving hub of activity. It is home to the Hanover city government and is used for administrative purposes, and it is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike. Whether you are looking to learn more about the history of Hanover or just want to enjoy a cup of coffee in a beautiful setting, the New Town Hall has something to offer.
Overall, the New Town Hall of Hanover is an absolute must-see. It is a beautiful and historic building that is sure to impress anyone who visits. Don't miss out on the opportunity to explore this amazing landmark.

Nice historical building. Tower was closed, but should be a 5 star when the tower is open again. Historical 3d models of town from 1680, 1939, 1945 and today was really nice to see.
The Erlebnis-Zoo Hannover is a zoo located in Hannover, Germany that features a variety of animals from around the world. The zoo has a well-maintained breeding program for elephants and has a wide variety of animal habitats, including an area dedicated to winter activities.
Great place to visit. You have to plan such as you have a whole day to spend in the zoo. You can see a variety of animals and birds from across the globe. Good place to visit with family and kids. It is pet friendly. There are cafes, children's play areas, gift shops and toilets inside the zoo. There is boating through a water canal and it was a nice experience. The seal show was also good. Over all it was a great day
Arathi Variar — Google review
Beautiful zoo. Very natural animals, fit, well-groomed. Prices in the upper range with 70 euros for 3 people. The employees were consistently friendly. Parking was a 5 minute walk away. The playground is an absolute must for the children, so make sure you plan enough time! And in any case, DO NOT leave the zoo without having an ice cream 🍦 It tastes fantastic.
Aakash Christ — Google review
This zoo was such a disappointment. If you expect a serious conservational effort and educational experience, this is not the place for you. It is more of a thematic animal enclosure experience geared towards children amusement. Mini theme park for kids. They lack staff, and the animals lack proper climate controlled enclosures. They have a whole section dedicated to safari animals, and either they were hiding from the cold so you didn't see them at all, or they were huddled together shivering. It was a really sad sight; much pity for the animals.
Definitely don't visit during winter. Even in summer I'd think twice.. Fortunately the staff were kind enough to issue a refund.
Wayne Teo — Google review
This is a beautiful zoo! One of the best zoos I have seen so far. My favorite part of the zoo was the farm area. There is a huge jungle gym at the end of the zoo. My son had so much. I was able to spend the day here with my family and I can't wait to go back next time we are in town.
Nicole Ogertschnig — Google review
Recommend buying tickets a week or two in advance to pay half the price!
Zoo was amazing the animals seemed very happy and lively. You could even step into the inclosure with some animals.
The seal show was really worth the watch.
Spent a really long time here a whole day affair.
Not many restaurants open during the winter season so bring food!
Boat ride was a really addition
The online map isn't great and signposting could be updated but it was the best zoo I have ever been to.

Please come early! Take the boat 🛶 tour & make sure to watch the seals 🦭 show! 5 hours is the least time to enjoy this place ✨❤️! Theres bathrooms all around and kids play areas all around and a lot cafes and restaurants too inside the venue itself! And there is themed areas with their local kind of animals!! I loved seeing the happy elephants 🐘❤️❤️❤️🦅🐮🐯🦊

Very big , and beautiful I recommend going early so you have time to see everything. Big parking , ticket is a little bit expensive but it is worth it . You can see a lot of animals , there are parks for kids . Inside you can drink, eat, rest(ofc you pay for this too) everything you need you have inside .

Just an amazing zoo, the best one I’ve ever been! I have spent 5 hours there and still didn’t see everything, you must plan a whole day for it. The highlight of it is lion’s family with 3 cubs (born 20.02.2023). They were so cute playing with each other, their mom and even serious father. I just could not leave the spot watching them for half an hour. Unfortunately the glass you are watching through is scratched and opposite sun made it even worse to look and make pictures, but they were so close, just few meters away. Amazing experience! I liked thematically made zones, never seen something like that in other zoo’s. They have feeding hours for animals so you could watch and they tell you some facts about animals but unfortunately only in German. All signs and information are in German too. People say the price 27 euro is expensive but I think it’s totally worth it and you can actually have much cheaper price (15 euro) if you book few weeks in advance through internet. Must see in Hannover!
Anastasiia Kotiuzhynska — Google review
It is a lovely zoo and it is much bigger than it looks
So make sure to put aside a good amount of time to enjoy it properly
Ann Faust — Google review
I was disappointed as I felt I didn’t get my money’s worth. Most animals were either too far or in hiding. Cafes were closed and the boat ride was under maintenance. The zoo isn’t a handicapped friendly place at least for me personally. All animal descriptions & information was in German so as a non native speaker it wasn’t fun to google translate info about animals I wanted to know more info about.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Hannover Zoo, and I must say it was an incredible experience! The zoo is beautifully designed, with spacious and well-maintained enclosures that provide a comfortable habitat for the animals.
One thing that really impressed me about the Hannover Zoo is their commitment to conservation.
The variety of animals at the Hannover Zoo is truly remarkable. From majestic big cats to playful primates, there's something to captivate visitors of all ages.
In terms of facilities, the Hannover Zoo is well-equipped. There are several restaurants and snack bars throughout the park, offering a variety of refreshments and meals.
Overall, I highly recommend a visit to the Hannover Zoo. It's not only a wonderful place to see a diverse range of animals up close. The dedication of the staff, the beautiful surroundings all contribute to an unforgettable experience.
Lander Bellens — Google review
Wonderful experience! We went on a Tuesday morning when it was not very crowded. There were groups of school children with their clipboards, studying different animals- that was pretty cool.
But, the zoo has a varied collection of animals, with some bot very common to zoos. They also had a petting area with cows and goats and sheep.
The Polar Bears are a beauty to watch.
Donae Walker — Google review
Very nice zoo with good parking possibility, restaurants and play grounds for children are available. The boat ride is amazing and in weekends, it may have around 15 minutes waiting time, which not that much, but worth to do it. For someone leaving around hannover, buying the annual ticket is better than the day ticket.

Beautiful place to visit, lots of green and space to enjoy nature. There is quite a variety of thing you can do around it. Biking, walking, jogging, bathing (on the assigned area), rowing one of their boats, visiting some of the restaurante that are around it or just enjoying the sunset. It’s a great point to relax, chill and have a good time. Not to mention that once a year they have the Maschseefest, which is really fun to visit. While the palace may not be as marvellous as the Sans Souci castle, the vast garden is wonderful: beautifully crafted and maintained garden with colourfully flowers, tall trees, mini gardens and fountains (especially the tall one). When you wander far from the palace, the path is close to a canal and much quieter. The place is overall not overly crowded by tourists, which makes the visit and long walks more enjoyable

If you're in the Hannover area and looking for a beautiful outdoor space to explore, be sure to check out Berggarten Hannover. This lovely garden is home to a wide variety of plants, with a nice walking path that winds through the different areas. Even in early April, the garden was breathtakingly beautiful - I can only imagine how stunning it must be in the height of summer!
One of the highlights of Berggarten Hannover are the greenhouses. The cactus greenhouse is particularly memorable, with a wide range of species that transport you to the deserts of California. The tropical greenhouse is equally impressive, with an array of beautiful flowers and plants that will leave you feeling as though you've been transported to a far-off jungle.
Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Berggarten Hannover. Whether you're looking for a peaceful stroll or simply want to admire the beautiful plants and flowers, this garden is the perfect spot. So take your time, soak in the sights and scents, and enjoy a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

**Herrenhäuser Gärten: A Testament to Hanover's Splendor**
Situated in the scenic city of Hanover, Germany, Herrenhäuser Gärten, or the Herrenhausen Gardens, are the epitome of baroque garden artistry and stand as one of the most impressive and beautiful garden complexes in Europe. This series of gardens is not simply an expanse of neatly trimmed hedges and vibrant flower beds; it's a living museum that encapsulates the legacy of royalty, the precision of landscape architecture, and the sheer joy of botanical splendor.
**Baroque Brilliance and Beyond:**
As you pass through the ornate gateways, you're transported into a world that reflects the grandiosity of its baroque roots. Laid out in the 17th century for the sophisticated Electress Sophia of Hanover, the Great Garden (Großer Garten) is a marvel of symmetrical design and meticulous care. Watching over the intricate parterres and fountains from every angle are statuesque figures, reminders of the human touch behind this magnificent display of natural beauty.
**A Fusion of Horticultural Mastery:**
Herrenhäuser Gärten is not content to rest on the laurels of its historical achievements. Embracing change and innovation has led to the inclusion of the Berggarten, a botanical garden that is both an academic research site and a tranquil retreat for plant lovers. Its greenhouses shelter a range of flora from tropical orchids to arid succulents, ensuring that enthusiasts can revel in botanical rarities any day of the year.
**Cultural and Artistic Venue:**
More than a place of tranquility and beauty, these gardens host a variety of cultural events that bring the grounds to life. From concerts and theater performances to the illustrious International Fireworks Competition, Herrenhäuser Gärten bridges the gap between nature's calm and the vibrant pulse of cultural festivities.
**Educational Value and Preservation Efforts:**
The gardens are a rich source of educational experiences. They not only offer guided tours that delve into the history and design principles of the gardens, but also provide workshops and activities for visitors of all ages. Conservation is a key tenet here, ensuring that these fertile swathes of land continue to tell their historical tale well into the future.
**Effect on Visitors:**
Those who walk through Herrenhäuser Gärten often find themselves lost in thought, contemplating the gardens' past or simply enjoying the respite they offer from urban life. Visitors leave with a greater appreciation for the intricacies of landscape design and a renewed sense of connection with nature and history.
**Conclusion:**
In essence, Herrenhäuser Gärten is more than a collection of gardens; it's a cultural institution that gracefully preserves the legacy of the past while growing in step with the present. Whether one is a scholar, a gardener, or a passerby in search of beauty, the gardens offer a space where history breathes through meticulously kept paths and whispers among the swaying branches. Herrenhausen's exceptional combination of history, horticulture, and culture make it an essential and enriching visit in the heart of Hanover.

Beautiful gardens and building. I was there for a conference and the facilities are top-class: the lecture room in particular had an outlet for every seat, comfy chairs, and pull-out desks.
The gardens are similarly fantastic. The flowers are meticulously cared for and the arrangement of the gardens is beautiful. The fountain is also amazing and so high! Do note it only runs part of the day, so it's worth checking times and going when it's on!

The big garden really impresses with manicured gardens that are absolutely gorgeous. At the same time the Berggarten fascinates with letting the visitor feels as if in they’re in nature enjoying different plants that grow there.
There are also great opportunities to rest at both gardens.

A must visit location when travelling Hannover, Germany.
With the regular ticket €8 (for €5 students) a person can visit the museum, the garden and beer garden [on the other side of the road).
However, one can visit the three different zones on separate days (each only for once).
My tips: 1. visit the garden on a single day, and schedule a separate day for the museum and the beer garden.
2. Check the booklet or website for exact time ⌚ of fountains ⛲ being on. [★]

I'd rather be lost in the woods
Than lost in the crowds.
Rather wander where I belong
Than wonder where I belong.
I grew up next to the forest, still live near it, wouldn't want to miss it. And it is indeed a forest, not a park. An original forest, once probably part of the extensive northern forest, it's origins dating back thousands of years. Eventually gifted to the citizens of Hanover in 1371 by the dukes Wenceslaus and Albrecht of Saxony. Also referred to as the green lung of Hanover. Within, one does not need to wander far to go on a journey.

A church in Hanover which was bombed during WWII and left in ruins, Aegidienkirche is a hauntingly beautiful sight once you realise it's not a functioning building. A memorial to all the people killed in the war, its austere beauty is something to be admired.
A great reminder of the horrors of war and why peace should be treasured. I get shivers down my spine every time I enter the Aegidienkirche. With its partnership with Hiroshima it is such a powerful place and you can really feel the horror and sorrow of the people that lived during these horrible times in Germany, Japan, and everywhere else where WWII was fought. I hope we never forget the innocent lives that were lost. The Aegidienkirche is a piece of living history which reminds us to never repeat the devastating mistakes that were made during WWII (on all sides). In war there are no winners and no heroes; there are only loser and those who needlessly died defending a flawed ideology.

Aegidienkirche is a war memorial in Hanover, Germany. It dates from 1347 and was destroyed on October 8, 1943 by the bombardment of Hanover during World War II. Aegidienkirche is now a war memorial dedicated to victims of war.
Hiroshima, which is the Sister City of Hanover donated what is known as the Peace Bell. It is located close to the tower and is used in the annual service on Hiroshima Day.

Several cities in northern Germany (Berlin, Hamburg, Hannover,...) have such Churches left in the state they were in 1945. Purpose is to remind people on war devastations never to happen again.
Aegidienkirche is set in the very center and there used to be a Church here from 12 century onwards which was several times rebuilt over centuries. Intense allied bombing 1943-45 left the Tower standing but the Church roofless. Beneath the bell tower you can find a bell from Hiroshima as a present from Japanese government

An old church which was destroyed during the World War II. Now it's left in ruins as a war memorial. It's a sad but very impressive place.
One wall of the church is covered with leaves which looks very nice like a symbol that the life will win a war in the end.
Located very close to the New Town Hall.

As a tourist visiting Hanover, I was delighted to discover the beautiful and historic Aegidienkirche. From the moment I set foot inside the church, I was struck by its beauty and significance.
One of the things that I loved most about Aegidienkirche was its beautiful architecture. The Romanesque tower and Gothic nave are truly stunning, and the frescoes and stained glass windows add a touch of beauty and color to the interior of the church. The church is also home to a number of important works of art, including statues and paintings, which add to its beauty and significance.
But Aegidienkirche is more than just a beautiful building - it is also a vibrant and active place. It is a Catholic church that is used for regular worship services, and it is also a popular destination for events and concerts. The guided tours of the church are a great way to learn more about its history and architecture, and the friendly staff are more than happy to answer any questions you might have.
Overall, I had a wonderful time visiting Aegidienkirche, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is visiting Hanover. It is a beautiful and historic church that is rich in history and culture, and it is a true gem in the heart of the city. Don't miss out on the opportunity to explore this amazing landmark.

One of the underrated sites in Hanover.
This is not to far from the center and it is definitely worth your time.
You can spend few minutes inside and take in all the quiet and peace the place offers. It is also photo worthy ☺️

A church that carries a profound historical significance as a war memorial. The church which is now a ruin and left how it was after the war serves as a reminder to the people the destruction that World War II caused. When people visit they just usually stand there and reflect so it is usually quiet and peaceful. For people who like history and contemplative places… this is one you must visit.

A must see when in Hannover. Old Church that was bombed during WWII and left as is as a reminder of the war. Very interesting and historical.
The Sprengel Museum is a well-known modern art museum in Düsseldorf, Germany. It has an extensive collection of works by local and international artists, including paintings by Kurt Schwitters, Max Ernst, Picasso and Paul Klee. The museum also contains a large metal sculpture by Alexander Calder.
It is for free on Friday and I see it as a nice option to spend there time with your kids. Half an hour going around and exploring and after you can enjoy a piece of cake in the cafe directly inside of the museum

Good contemporary art museum with bad management.
We had two issues:
- First our masks did not meet the FFP2 standard and despite that the museum had these masks available the receptionist did not want to sell/give them and simply send us away. But thanks to the initiative of another employee we were provided with the masks (to which the receptionist objected in front of us). I found it odd that they were okay to send a visitor away where they could have put some masks into their shop (we were not asked to pay for the provided masks). This would help everybody.
- The second incident was more disturbing. There was a 3D printer installation and I was explaining this to my seven year old daughter. We were very clearly behind the barrier, maybe 5-10cm and not touching it, when another staff member came and very aggressively told us that it was prohibited to stand where we were and we had to step back at least 30cm away. I questioned why the barrier was not placed further back in this case. Her response was that the fumes of the 3D printer could cause headaches. Hence I repeated the question why the barrier was not placed correctly in the first place if there was a health concern (as she also did not attempt to change it), and why there was nothing alerting the visitors of this possibility. She just said I should not argue with the museum staff. I do not believe that the barrier position was incorrect or the fumes would creat any health issues. I think these would have been considered when the installation was put up. But this makes it difficult to understand the alert, and more importantly aggressive attitude of the staff member.
Apart from the above I must note to be fair that many other employees were trying to be helpful. But I think that the museum management has a training issue. The general attitude is not that you are a paying visitor, i.e. customer, but someone benefitting from the benevolence of the museum owner.

Although I have a deep admiration for art, I didn't find many of the abstract and modern art pieces showcased at the Sprengel Museum appealing. Some of them felt like mere placeholders, lacking any clear intention or evidence of effort. In today's digital age, where algorithms can generate art effortlessly, both the artists and the museum should contemplate their approach to presenting art and the messages they convey.
On a positive note, I did enjoy the section of the museum with dark rooms, which provided a fun experience.

Sprengel Museum is a museum of modern art in Hanover, Lower Saxony, holding one of the most significant collections of modern art in Germany. It is located in a building situated adjacent to the Masch Lake approximately 150 metres south of the state museum. The museum opened in 1979, and the building, designed by Peter and Ursula Trint and Dieter Quast , was extended in 1992.
Bernhard Sprengel donated his extensive collection of modern art to the city of Hanover in 1969, as well as financially supporting the construction of the museum. The city of Hanover and the state of Lower Saxony agreed to operate the museum jointly. In addition to the works donated by Sprengel, the museum also houses 20th century artworks owned by Lower Saxony and Hanover.

Paid 4 euros for entry as some exhibitions were under construction. For that price you should go for sure. The stuff was extremely helpful and could speak English. I put 4 stars because the exhibitions were limited. I manly liked the photography one. You can see in my review plenty of photos from that exhibition. There were desks where you can sit and chill with plenty of photobooks.

To be honest I am not a fan of modern art so it was not very interesting for me. Just went there because of bad weather. Entry price is 7 euro but maybe it’s better to go for free, not sure if it’s worth a price.

The museum overall has a newly build vibe to it, clean and well maintained.
The exhibition and art inside the museum is bit off my taste of what a “museum” experience might be. It’s full of paintings and abstract art etc .
30-40% of the museum was under renovation and the overall layout of the museum was frankly quite consuming; a maze but not quite a fun maze (?) approach.
The entry fees is 7 euros usually but Monday’s are closed and Fridays are free. I did go on Friday so the experience was moderately positive, however I would not pay 7 euro for this type of museum.

In June 2018, I had the privilege of experiencing CEBIT in Hannover both as a visitor and an exhibitor, and it was nothing short of phenomenal! 🌟 The event was an intense fusion of innovation and interaction, making it a prime venue for tech enthusiasts and professionals alike. Participating in CEBIT goes beyond mere attendance; it involves immersing oneself in the bustling ecosystem of technology and creativity. 🛠️
Building our stand from scratch was not only a challenge but a true highlight, embodying the spirit of hands-on engagement that CEBIT fosters. 🏗️ This task, while demanding, brought a sense of accomplishment and a unique perspective on the event. The opportunity to interact directly with a diverse array of customers and business peers enriched my experience significantly. I also had the chance to give interviews on TV, adding an exciting layer to my involvement. 🎤
The atmosphere at CEBIT is electric, charged with enthusiasm and the buzz of potential new connections and insights. 🌐 If you're looking to fully grasp the vibrancy of this event, I'd say you haven't really 'done' CEBIT until you've built your own stand. I highly recommend this event for anyone eager to dive into the heart of the tech industry and leave with invaluable contacts and experiences. A must-visit! 🔝👍

This museum houses a wide variety of art from across Europe, spanning from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. Highlights include a sizable collection of German Old Masters paintings and Impressionist works.

Despite exhibits being very well presented, the interpretitive signage was overwhelmingly in German only.
Given this a major museum over 3 levels, visited by international travellers like ourselves, it's extraordinary that even short English summaries are not provided.

We have visited this museum to see the good variety of pictures .
But … There was only 20-25% of them as bigger part was closed because of some roof problems. So, you pay 10 Euro / 2 people and see only 3 rooms of icons …
We expected more …
If you come with children - it will be interesting to watch ground and first floor .
But pictures I don’t advise .

The Aviation Museum Hannover-Laatzen is a large and comprehensive museum dedicated to aviation history. It houses a collection of 36 restored aircraft, many of which are rare examples from World Wars and II. The museum is located in the town of Laatzen, just south of Hanover.

Really great museum with the main focus on aviation and includes lots of WW2 "artifact's". The collection is quite impressive and worth the 9 euro entry fee and the tram ticket from the Hannover station. They have several hundred models, dozens of life size actual planes including a few you can look into, as well as some uniforms, aviation related stamps, posters WW2 money. A wonderful collection all in one place. Well laid out. Very nice.

Much larger in the inside than you may think by just looking at the building from the street. Spitfire, Focke-Wulf, F-104 Starfighter, MIG-15, and it's only the top of the collection. The mementos of WW2 have got a serious extra weight here in Hanover. Worth visiting even if you are not deep in aviation or history.

I went there with my colleague a few weeks ago and I thought it was fantastic. Many very interesting pieces and artifacts. They had many super interesting things. Big models, bigger real pieces, some to buy, small figures and set ups, stunning size comparisons and much more.
They have student prices! I forgot my student ID when I got there but the super friendly lady at the front desk gave me the student price anyway. I also got to go on toilet while I was waiting for my company and the same front desk lady opened the staff entrance on the outside so I could quickly get there (I didn't pay yet)
What was not so great was the temperature. In summer, I expect I'd be nice and cool inside but in winter, I froze my butt off. It was inside two large industrial halls. But I'm a rather slim person so someone with a normal weight might not freeze as much.
The way getting there might seem a little confusing because the area looks industrial but as long as you follow the long street along the train tracks and then take a right turn at the end, past the white bars, it's easy to find.
Will definitely go again some time!

This is a classic German central square Church rebuilt in red bricks you're about to see in almost every German town.
Marktkirche means the main Market square Church, so you can easily conclude it's here from the medieval era - in this case from 14 cent.
It's a Protestant Church (with Martin Luther statue in front), so don't expect lavish interiors. Add to that WWII allied bombing devastations and you're about to see a simple, yet beautiful high vaulted Gothic brick interior along with some modern art bronze statues inside and a golden triptych. Anyway, it's worth entering and it's free

One of the reasons is that the New Town Hall, provides such an amazing backdrop to the gardens and the lakes in the park. Clean, nice and good variety of sea life animals but don't expect much as the place not big and in busy times might be a problem but overall it is a good experience

It was a very exciting experience for kids and as well as for parents. The place has wide species of aquatic habitants… The best part was walking under a huge glass chamber which was contained with big fishes and turtles. The crocodile was a good surprise… The best place to visit in Hannover in any season.

Nice place to visit. But little expensive. Small area to explore. Before going one should check online the booking slot. It is recommended to book before 3 days atleast. Small kids will definitely enjoy. There are different shows organised in different time. So if one want to see particular show such as meal time for crocodile or insect show, one should check the website before. I was expecting bit more from this but anyways it's ok. It took usually one hour to see everything completely. Shows may have 20 min extra time slot. Altogether 2 hrs time is good.
The HDI Arena, previously known as the AWD Arena, is a 49,000-capacity football stadium located just south of Hannover. The stadium is home turf for Hannover 96 football club, and is also used for concerts and other events. The stadium offers good value for money with tickets available the same day from the ground or from DB service point inside. While the team didn't win on this occasion, the atmosphere was good and fans can expect more successful games in future.
The area is calm and cosy. It was 2024 new year and we amazed by the fireworks and enjoyed all the time

It is a sports stadion. No more no less. My favorite team didn't win (1:1) so it was a bit disappointing. Atmosphere was good though.

Had a brilliant day winning the derby v aBSchaum, brilliant atmosphere at my hometown ground.
Perfect football stadium, no pillars or supports obstructing your view.
Great variety of food and snacks and beverages.

Nice stadium and good facilities, you will need to obtain a prepaid card for the vendors inside the stadium and top it up. Get there early as it can take time to get through the security checks.
Back packs and some other items are not allowed, all non allowed items are confiscated and placed in a hut that you can retrieve from after the match with a ticket system.

Nice stadium. We sat lower level in section W4. We sat in the 2nd row, to be close to the field. I wish we sat higher up in the lower section to have a better perspective. Too much space between the seats and the playing field made it hard to see parts of the field.

I stayed here with mixed feelings, the match was ok, the stadium was great, and the people were strange. As a kid I only watched them on TV and dreamed of visiting the stadium, not that it's anything special, but ...

Fun game, long wait to get in. Had to go through a full body pat down by security.
