Praia da Falésia, located in Albufeira, is a stunning tourist attraction known for its miles of golden beach bordered by red and white cliffs. It stretches almost 6 kilometers from Olhos d'Agua to Vilamoura and offers breathtaking views. The combination of dark red and white sandy cliffs adorned with green pine trees against the backdrop of a blue sky creates an incredibly beautiful landscape, making it one of the most exceptional beaches in Albufeira.
This has to be one of my most favorite beaches of the entire Algarve. The steep orange colored cliffs, green trees and clean beach make up for a beautiful place to wander around. Moreover, it's a good place to surf too judging by the amount of surfers around. Make sure to include this beach in your visit, it's definitely worth it.

One of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been to. The contrast between the red mountains, the ocean, and the greenery is quite impressive. I came in May and there was a lot of seaweed, but after the seaweed you can swim into the peaceful ocean itself.
This area of the beach is perfect because it’s not full of people. There aren’t any services on these beach except for on the top before you go down to the beach.
Tips:
- Bring a bit of sunblock cuz the sun is strong
- Walk until you find a quiet spot, you’ll find one
- Stay at the little shack on the top of the stairs after chilling at the beach and grab a smoothie or drink

A gorgeous beach with beautiful views and nice sand. The coastline is really long. We were here in March so it wasn't very crowded but it must really get crowded in Summers

Nice walk to the beach through the pine wood from the MH park.Sheep and goats free range with herder. Beach very attractive but far too busy. Cliffs very unstable sandstone. Don't go anywhere near the edge!

Absolutely stunning beach, really beautiful. Check tide times as when it comes in, it comes allll the way in and you don't want to be too far from steps up. Also, be sure to read and take notice of signs showing danger zones at base of cliffs from natural slippage and don't get too close to them. Likewise, fantastically beautiful views from the tops of the cliffs and plenty of signage showing the high danger of rocks lives but so many eejits standing on far edges for photos.

Going down the beach is nice experience but going at the cliffs above is just amazing! Superb view on the ocean and beach and partially the cliffs. And on the other side trees, and green areas in general.

Best sunset view in this area! Lovely beach/sand and water temperature.

Beautiful beach by red cliffs. Clear turquoise water, medium sized waves when I was there. Clean sandy beach, uncrowded. Overall the prettiest beach I've been to in Portugal - Even better than the "best" Praia da Marinha.

Amazing beach, it’s stunning. The colours of the sand and the steep landscape makes it perfect for photos. The beach is really long so if you walk there will be enough space to accommodate many people.

Amazing beach, the sand is white and soft and the rocks just make for a phenomenal view! We went here in November and it was still warm with only few people around. To get down to the beach you have to walk down a longer set of wooden stairs.

Very popular beach which still has some private areas, can be tricky to get to by public transport (you need to walk around half an hour from the nearest stop but it’s worth it). Stunning views on top of the cliff (you need to be careful as it’s very steep in some points). They have areas with a few beach cafes that serve drinks but if you go further you can find more isolated areas to relax in

In mid-November there was not much life on this marvellous beach as we took a long walk. But the red-coloured cliffs were magnificent and it was amusing to see the playful birds, like the Ruddy Turnstones, Yellow-legged Gulls and a solitary Kestrel along the beach. We didn't have the strength to walk all the 5 km from Olhos d'Agua to Vilamoura, but what we saw was fantastic. There is a well-prepared footpath on the top of the cliffs above the beach, giving lovely views of the beach and beyond.

Beautiful, long, wide beach. One of the highlights of our holiday. There was a small snack bar with toilets at street level but we did not eat there.

Unique experience walking along this widespread beach. However, there were no changing rooms or restrooms available (maybe because we were there in October and almost no one was swimming and the situation might be different during summer). So, dress all your swimwear at home. If you'd like more peace and privacy, then I'd recommend another beach.
Praia dos Salgados is a popular coastline featuring a stretch of white-sand beach surrounded by dunes, marshlands and a wooden promenade. The wide and long bay offers ample space for relaxation and long walks by the shore with Gale Beach on the left side and Armacao Beach to the right. Access to the beach is through Salgados Resort, which has car parking facilities. This stunning beach boasts beautiful coves with soft sand that one can walk for miles on.
Great beach, not too busy, has loads of folk walking along the shoreline. Fab sand, not too coarse like some. Fab waves! Felt a bit string for the current though, I wouldn't go too deep. Great for a relaxing afternoon. Very clean.

Quiet beach without lifeguard, bit wild and incredible sunsets

The best beach in Algarve, for me since 1995 or earlier.

Stunning beach with beautiful coves and soft sand- you can walk for miles and miles and can cut off when tide is in as there is a lovely walkway to continue the walk . Very well set up and only seen this in Jersey from all my travels - beach walkers dream

Gorgeous vast beach ! Really nice bar/restaurant on the beach. If visiting in the summer a table must be booked as it gets so busy it's impossible to get a place. Seafood fantastic and their coconut pudding it's a treat.

Beautiful sandy beach. Less crowded near Salgados Dunas Suites hotel. Love the beach huts that offer back massages on the beach.

Lovely beach but the directions on Google Maps take you to Grande beach and not Salgados. Definitely worth a visit though.

Wonderful beach - unspoilt, quiet and bursting with wildlife. We went twice, one time during a storm which was humbling - the waves were incredible and once on a hot sunny day where the breakers were invigorating, the sand was red hot and it seemed like we were the only people there.

Nice sandy beach. Wide and long bay, perfect to relax without a lot of people around you, and for long walks by the shore. On the left there's Galé beach and Armação beach to the right side. The access to the beach and car Parking it's in Salgados Resort.

Even though it was raining the first time we went there, me and my boyfriend decided to go back for a second time and we had a really good day walking around and got our wish to see the white flamingos in their natural environment. Worth the visit and is also not far from the beach.
