The Real Casino de Murcia is a museum located in the city of Murcia,Spain. It is home to an extensive collection of antique gaming equipment and artworks from around the world. The building was constructed in 1853 and has since been declared a historic-artistic building.
Wow this is a little hidden gem. It's not a casino, it's a private members club, but four a small fee you can go in and see the most spectacular architecture and interior decor. You get a little book that explains what each room was used for. Plenty of places for you to sit so you can just look and admire. Well worth a visit

Absolutely stunning, eclectic architecture that manages to capture the historical phases of Murcia. The entrance is breathtaking, photos can’t truly illustrate the beauty of this place. 5€ fee/ 3€ in groups. Self-guided tours (qr code) or paper booklet guide. Love it!

Absolutely loved this! Nice man at the ticket desk when we arrived who automatically gave us a leaflet in English. Worth the 5€ entry fee.
Unfortunately I couldn't find restaurant reviews so thought there wasn't a restaurant, yet there was - too late for us as we ate prior to arriving. The menu looked good.
It was open on a Monday which was good as not everywhere is.

Stunning building well worth a visit when visiting Murcia. The entrance is on the main pedestrian street towards the cathedral. The entrance fee was only a few euro each. The detail and decoration is amazing, each room has a different feel and design. It is still used as a private club so not all areas are open to the public.

Really nice place to visit. It costs 5€ and you have access to 12 rooms. Good explanations with the free audio guide working with a QR code on your phone.
The Santuario de Nuestra Señora de la Fuensanta is a stunning monastery built in the Baroque style during the late 1600s. It offers breathtaking panoramic views of the valley below and is easily accessible for those with walking difficulties. The entrance hall features a light box that can be illuminated by placing a Euro inside, illuminating the church's interior. The gardens have a small playground for children, and there is also a quaint gift shop and coffee shop on-site.
Lovely place to visit, great views, clean park, children’s area, restaurant. Got some interesting history. Make sure you check the open times when visiting.

A beautiful monastery set in a beautiful national park located in a elevated position and offering far-reaching views over the countryside. The monastery was closed to the public on the day we visited so check opening times before you visit.
There is ample free parking but wheelchair access is very limited. The cafeteria is accessed by steps and not disabled friendly at all, which is a great pity.
Overall, my rating is for the beauty of the exterior of the building and the magnificent views. However, our experience would have been greatly enhanced if ramps were installed to improve wheelchair access. It's 2023, there should be equal access for everyone!

Wonderful! Unbelievable views across Murcia and beyond. Church is stunning outside and inside. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the surrounding areas and cafe serving superb Ensaladilla. Have visited twice and will visit again.
This museum is dedicated to the famous Murcian artist, Francisco Salzillo. The collection contains a wide range of his works, which are known for their baroque style. Highlights include his exquisite pasos (figures carried in Easter procession) and religious themed sculptures.
The museum was opened a few years ago, it contains the original Baroque religious sculptures made by Salzillo, the Murcian artist who lived during the Inquisition, in the 18th century. The entry fee is around 3/5 € and it includes the chapel of Jesus. The sculptures are used during the procession on Good Friday, before Easter. The museum was visited by the King of Spain for a recent exhibition and is kept really well.

A must see in Murcia, to appreciate its cultural richness and traditions. Even if you are not a fan of art, it's an experience of life, culture and history of Murcia. Plan a good hour to appreciate the museum. I recommend the tour guide. And if it is with Olga, even more.

It's OK, interesting story behind the sculptures made by salzillo, if you are not religious but admire art this is a nice place, if you are neither. It is not recommended at all.

Plaza de Las Flores is a picturesque square surrounded by charming cafes, tapas bars, and boutiques housed in period buildings. It serves as the epicenter of social life in Murcia where locals and tourists alike gather to indulge in traditional marinera tapas accompanied by beer or wine. However, despite its central location among other restaurants, the square can get quite noisy due to people delivering products on carts. Nonetheless, it remains a must-see attraction for anyone visiting Murcia.
Lovely vibrant square with lots of bars and restaurants. Had lovely tapas, bit more expensive than a bar in front of the cathedral ??? However the tapas were very good and freshly prepared, staff were also very friendly and helpful
Christine Smith — Google review
This was our first Paella 🥘 delicious but tasted too fishy afterwards. But we liked it.
The octopus was jummy but I thought there would be more octopus. We sat outside. Location was in the center amongst other restaurants too but it was just too noisy with activities of other people dragging the cart to deliver products to restaurants.
And we came around 12-1pm so we thought it was lunch time already (?)

A lovely plaza full of historical and period buildings. Restaurants and cafes abound. Make time and save room in order to sample as many elegant tapas as you ça. There are also many small shops full of curious and unusual items.. from clothes to jewellery to keepsakes/memorabilia. Definitely worth the time.

Helen Price (Nice Stuff Yeah) — Google review
English translation for Plaza de las Flores is ‘Flower Square’ but I don’t see many flowers around. However, orange trees are seen everywhere. There are many tapa cafes around for alfresco dining and customers are spoilt for choice. There is also a circular fountain and the statute of Mary to take pictures with. Overall, it is a pleasant place to have a meal and people-watching. Centrally located, this is an historic plaza ringed by architecturally interesting buildings, cafes and small restaurants. This is a busy plaza, people constantly passing through, both locals and tourists, thereby presenting a constant parade of people of the world. Find a nice table, order something to drink or eat, settle in, observe things, talk with your friends or family, say hello to someone, smile and laugh... this is the place for it.

The Santa Clara museum is situated in the northern part of the Santa Clara monastery, originally built upon an Islamic-Mudejar palace belonging to Ibn Hud. The museum showcases a harmonious convergence of various architectural styles developed throughout the 13th, 15th and 18th centuries. Visitors can explore different examples of Islamic architecture from the 13th century and view exhibitions containing jewels, relics and sacred art representing both medieval and modern Christian periods at Monastery of Santa Clara.
Great museum with Arabic or Muslim style, good historical place for seeing beautiful architecture and knowing about lifestyle in that epoch

Small religious museum.
The entrance was free.
It can be toured in 30 minutes.
There were no lines, could enter easily.
Nicely located.

For a free museum, it is definitely worth visiting. Not a very religious person, per se, but the historic section of Spain and the influences from North-Africa and the Middle East were fascinating to learn about. The little booklet with added information was nicely written, too!
Could have used the same amount of information with the Christian artefacts on the upper floor

A small yet amazing museum. I can't believe it's free. It has two sections: Andalusi items (i.e. from Spanish Islamic times) and religious Catholic items. Both are very interesting. The building itself is an architectural jewel. To top it all, during Christmas time the nuns create the most fascinating and complete nativity scene I have ever seen. Not to be missed.

Very nice kept nice patio but is not accesible why 3*, because I am not in religious and there were statues of kids nicely dressed and santuary articles that is not much of my thing. It should be great for someone who knows and likes it. Very nice lady at the entrance.

I love religious relics. It's interesting and beautiful. Paintings, wood carvings etc. The best, you have a view of the backside of the altar within the museum. Unfortunately I did not have too much time as I came short before closing time, 20min. The other part of the museum is for archaeological findings.

An oasis of serene beauty adjacent to the main pedestrian thoroughfare of central Murcia. It's a pity that there's no access to the gardens though the views through the huge windows along the ornamental pool and flower beds is stunning. The moorish artwork and architecture stand out, the rather garish Christian works less so. Free entry and pleasant folk make it even more worth the task of trying to find the slightly obscure main entrance.
Mercado de Abastos de Verónicas, dating back to the 15th century, is a large two-tiered indoor fresh produce market located near Murcia's main shopping center. The ground floor features butchers, fishmongers, and delicatessens while upstairs offers a wide array of fruits and vegetables. The market is known for its vibrant atmosphere and the enticing aromas of its produce.
As always, marketplaces in old House are top! This has only a few bars and each end to snack and a lot of stands with fish, vegetables, cheese etc. Recommended!

Downstairs you will find bakeries as well many fresh fish stands, upstairs you will find fruits and vegetables.
Very fresh and well priced.
Little to no eat-now options, only for takeaway and not ready yet.

Take a journey back in time and experience. How is your grandmother? Went shopping for fish, vegetables, bread, and any other supplies that you now find at the grocery store. If you get a chance, buy some shrimp or calamari, and have it cooked on the spot as you drink a beer in the sun.

Had a look around Central market. Great variety of produce, quite atmospheric, like these markets as in Scotland have died out. Due to large supermarkets, they have taken over the food system.

Terra Natura Murcia is a vast park that features an impressive collection of animals from around the world. It also houses an aquatic center equipped with water slides and swimming pools that cater to all age groups. Visitors can enjoy a fun-filled day at the water park, which offers great accessibility for families. However, it's best to avoid going in August as it can get exceedingly hot and crowded when walking around the animals' enclosures.
We spent almost an entire day visiting the zoo during the recent long Halloween weekend. Not sure whether it was just pure luck but all animals seemed to be tucked in the corner napping during our visit and we missed out on most of the shows / feeding activities. The entire place was very well maintained, clean and organized. Thankfully, we were able to catch the final Exotic Bird Show at 6pm and must say it was definitely worth the wait. Magnificent experience and the host was very well versed (although the entire show was conducted in Spanish) but I could still somewhat understand some of the things being explained. Will definitely recommend families to bring children over for educational or even recreational purposes. Or just be like us, two adults exploring the place like kids once again :) Upon collecting our memento picture from the checkout counter, we were also informed about the Benidorm Safari and Marine Park which apparently is comparatively larger. Looks like that would be our next go to spot!
Nicole Lai — Google review
Well the place had a nice parking lot. But in the park it was a little sad that some animals were alone and/or their enclosure was to small. It also seemed to be the case that they were not so fond of cleaning the enclosures

Went with people that had not been before. We all loved the experience. The animals seem to be well cared for and happy. Conservation is a big part of my interest in zoos and Terra Natura appears to be working to help conservation and education. We watched the birds of prey and it was very interesting. Possibly the best part for me

First time visitor whilst we were staying in El Saladillo. Booked online, nice and easy and went for the option that included the bar menu. Plentiful parking outside then just go to the ticket office and scan your entrance tickets and pay €3 for parking. We decided to start with the animals first and were very impressed with how well kept the animals were along with the size of their enclosures. There are a variety of talks throughout the day as well if that's your thing. One great thing is that there are undercover picnic spots along the animal trail if you need a pitstop and most of the restaurants and cafes have microwaves available if you need to heat food. Please note there is a maximum cooler bag size allowed in the park for picnics so check the website beforehand. After our lunch we went to the water park. You need to pay for sun loungers and also rubber rings for the lazy river. The slides were great fun which our 11 yr old and 6yr old loved (minimum height is 120cm for the slides). There is also the lazy river and a massive pool with a splash zone. All in all we were very impressed with the cleanliness of the park, the condition of the animals and also how friendly and helpful the staff were. Would definitely recommend a summer season visit.

Fantastic Zoo with well kept animals and really good enclosures for them.
Lots to see with a huge array of different animals to see from various platforms.
Price was reasonable to Enter the place.
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was I bought my tickets online and you still have to pay €3 for parking, I thought this should be in with the entrance ticket price.

It's a spectacular place to spend time with your kids! We loved how humane the animals are kept and how lovely the environment is. Even though we found it a bit pricey (paid 60-something EUR for 4 ppl) at the beginning, but it was totally worth it!

Visited on my last day in Murcia. Although the variety of animals is limited compared to other zoos I have visited, it was a nice experience. Animals seem close as there are barely fences that distract the view. All over the area you feel taken into an African landscape, soft African music from several speakers along the way add to that ambiance.
Unfortunately I realized too late that I was charged for parking when buying my entrance ticket via credit card. Although I clearly said that I did not use the parking space and the lady even confirmed that, my bank account shows an extra 3 euro on top of the entry fee.

The Episcopal Palace in Murcia, which serves as the seat of the Cartagena diocese, boasts a magnificent red facade adorned with intricate sculptures. The building complex is located adjacent to Malaga Cathedral and features a splendid example of Spanish Baroque architecture. A major part of the palace is dedicated to showcasing religious artworks, primarily sculptures that are truly remarkable, especially representations of St Francis of Assisi and Virgin Mary. However, visitors are not allowed to take photographs of these exhibits.

The Episcopal Palace is the official residence of the Bishop of Malaga and is a group of of buildings built next to Malaga Cathedral. The facade of the building is a fine example of Spanish Baroque with some beautiful sculptures easily visible from the facing Plaza del Obispo.
Much of the palace is given over to religious art exhibitions, mostly of sculptures. Some of which are absolutely stunning, especially depictions of the Virgin Mary and St Francis of Assisi. Sadly, photographing the sculptures on exhibit is not permitted.

A singular example of why Murcia is a place truly worthy of visiting. The Episcopalian Palace bursts with classical architectural finesse and an inspiring, historic air. If you are patient, the street before it can be empty of pedestrians, allowing for a clear photograph of the structure's splendid archways and centuries old contours.
Wonderful shopping centre, plenty of parking, amazing variety of shops, both one off boutiques and world wide brands, as well as cafes and restaurants to cater for every taste. Easy to navigate as only ground and 1st floor with 3 sets of moving walkways connecting, so buggy and wheelchair friendly, no shops are missed as both floors are oval shaped. Would advise if planning to eat at lunchtime on a Saturday or Sunday to arrive at the food hall end of 1st level by 1.30pm or by 2pm onwards you will find huge queues, but worth it. Love the place, would totally recommend visiting 🛍👏👍😋🛍

Really nice shopping center. They have heaps of good shops, restaurants, cinemas and more! I have to say that sometimes it can be a bit hectic to come there on the weekend as it is always very busy. The parking is very big too. There are so many shops and restaurants to pick from I could be there all day and still not have seen everything! One if my favourite reasons for going there is because they always have really good movies on, and if you’re with friends there is a photo booth, but remember you need coins. I think there was a sushi place, but they took it away which is a bit sad.

I had the chance to be present in the 3 cultures event, that night a Tunisien artist delivered great show, and I was really impressed by her outstanding performance on the theatre. A big applause as well for the organisers who really did a great job

Relatively small theatre so stage is very visable. Unusual shape being round.
The Jardin de la Seda is a city park that offers outdoor gym equipment, playgrounds for children, and a duck pond. The park's gardens are filled with lush greenery and refreshing water channels, making it an oasis in the heart of Murcia. Visitors who want to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life will find this park perfect for relaxation.
It is very peaceful and nice here. But sadly, I noticed a lot of plastic thrown on the grass and the water.
I tried to clean up the area and fell while picking a plastic wrap in the stream.
There are no toilets but there is a water fountain where I was to able to wash off the dirt that got on me.
5/5 would come back here again.

Quite a large and nice garden, with different spaces to enjoy. There are swings, castle and zip line for children, green areas for picnic, birds, an artificial lake and river with a variety of animals and plants, running track, and a bar over pilings in the middle of the lake to the bargain.

Regarding the PARK, it,s one of the biggest and better equipped in Murcia. A delight for children and grown-ups. It,s not the city of Murcia as a whole!

Absolutely beautiful in a rainy, windy weather at the beggining of spring... I can only imagine how beautiful it is in summer... 🥰🥰

We went karting today and had lots of fun! It was an activity promoted by the city council regarding Christmas Holidays. Weather was cold but the activity was ok! Had to wait in the line for over 30min though. Anyway, it was worth it! Then, we visited the Three Wise Men campsite, which was nearby. It was expensive since it cost 8€ each. It was also fun and quite entertaining.
