Bioparc Fuengirola is an animal park that focuses on animals in naturalistic enclosures. It has a recreated jungle clearing and a kids' play area. The zoo was not always a pleasant place for the animals, but in 1998 Rain Forest took over the zoo and made it into one of the best animal parks in Spain.
"In the middle of it all, still enjoyable."
I usually don't like zoos (for obvious reasons) but this one had a charm and a caring beyond the rest.
Totally recommend. Good price (both entrance and indoor snack/drinks), amazing "shows" and nice staff.
If you are in Fuengirola and like/love/adore animals. Do go here 🦁

An absolutely beautiful zoo, well worth the visit.
Plenty of animals in beautiful, spacious surroundings. The zoo isn't large, but you can easily spend 2 - 3 hours in here. Plenty variation of animals (birds, gorillas, tigers, monkeys, hippos etc.) in lovely surroundings. Good facilities and you can bring your own food and drinks into the zoo.
It never felt too busy and we really like the animal enclosures. It just felt really peaceful. There also was plenty of shade in the zoo, necessary when it gets very warm.
Parking is available in the parking garages next and opposite the zoo and you get a 50% discount when you validate your ticket on exit of the zoo. We paid 3 euros for a 3 hour visit.
Book online and check Groupon Spain as they sometimes have discounts. Definitely worth a visit!

The best zoo I've ever been to! The animals have plenty of space and hiding spots, but they're easy to spot. Even walking around the zoo is a big part of the experience, such beautiful plants and decorations. We were lucky to find coupons so the entries were only 15€ pr. person, super cheap.

Second visit here and it just gets better!
Amazing amount of animals, can see them close up without wire fences in the way!
Cafe has nice food/coffee.
They are extending it so will be back to visit when that is complete.

First time here was 2008. Now the 2nd time here with kids. They loved it and so did I. I even saved around 20€ with a promo poster I found on the door of a nearby store. I just had to take a photo of it and show it at the cashier's.
I think the place is well designed for the amount and comfort of the animals. The grounds and details were spot-on.
Some seemed a bit stressed but it's understandable.

Bioparc Fuengirola is a must-visit destination for animal enthusiasts and families alike. While the entry fee may be a bit higher these days, the experience is worth it. The park offers a wide variety of animals, and I was pleased to see that all of them were out and visible during my visit.
The naturalistic habitats provide a fantastic setting for observing the animals, and the views are simply stunning. It's a great opportunity for both kids and adults to learn about wildlife and conservation.
For families with children, this place is a winner. The kids will be thrilled to see so many animals up close and will surely have a memorable and educational experience.
In conclusion, despite the slightly higher cost, Bioparc Fuengirola delivers an enjoyable and enriching outing. I recommend visiting this park for a fun-filled day with a lot of animals and beautiful views.

Very nice! A bit expensive for a zoo but you can find discount vouchers here from leaflets and stores so you don’t have to pay full price. 25€/ adult or 18€ / pensioner or child. Animals were mostly sleeping in the shadows but its understandable because of the heat. Nice experience and very well taken care of park. I would definetly recommend visiting if you are going to Fuengirola.

Really good afternoon out did cost a bit much to go in about 85 Euros for a family of 4 but lots of animals inside. We saw crocodiles, hippos, flamingos, tigers, gorillas and lots more. They show was great kids loved the birds flying over their heads. Great park but the gorillas were their fave the baby interacting by the viewing window made their day

Such a beautiful little zoo. Pretty, lush surroundings with large, well thought out areas for the animals. A very peaceful place tastefully and thoughtfully designed. Many different species of birds, fish, animals, plus a cafe and gift shop. Easy to walk round and wheelchair/ disabled friendly. Highly recommend. Ticket prices often discounted. Check their website.

Nice food. With child menu there is additional giraffe mask. Toilets are clean. There could be more animals, but anyway a lot to see. Visited show with birds and small animals. Spent 4 hours.

This zoo is really something different in the middle of houses, buildings, the town and the road running past. You wouldn't expect it to be where it was and it was incredible inside.
The enclosures and environment for the animals were clean, fresh and felt like home for the animals.
They had a variety of animals and some I've never seen before in my past zoo visits elsewhere. I've attached a map to show you the idea of the type of animals you'd see. The Tigers and leopard were my favourite but also enjoyed the baby orangutan!
Wheelchair accessible and pushchair accessible. Toilets. 2 cafes. Play area. Gift shop.
Can either buy tickets online, information points or on the door.
There is also a hop on hop off bus/train available

This zoo is first class. The animals look fit and well in their fantastic enclosures. Clearly there has been a great amount of thought into making the zoo good for animals and customers alike. There is plenty of shade and set on numerous paths to enjoy the experience. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Thank you for a great time..

A great zoo experience with interesting animals. The zoo was tidy and there was no limit on how long you could spend there so you wouldn’t feel as if you were being rushed. They had lemurs and birds able to roam free and come up to you which was really cool definitely would recommend a visit

I am not a fan of animals in captivity, however, this was an excellent experience with magnificent buildings and well maintained public and animal enclosures. The entire concept was brilliant. Lovely cafeteria with plenty of seating, and what appeared to be a restaurant. I, along with my daughter and another family member spent four hours there. Easy underground parking within metres. The discount coupon made the parking pleasantly cheap. I highly recommend this place, and it is a wonderful day out. I would go again at a moments notice.

I’ve visited loads of zoos across the UK, this was up there with one of the best I’ve visited. It is a small zoo, having a good look at all the animals we spent 3 hours and saw everything (except the shy leopard)
The enclosures are very well designed, several species share the same space to make for a very natural experience. Don’t miss the shows they are fantastic, much better than the ones in the uk.
Only thing I would say is that for the experience it is quite expensive.

This was the most impressive kind of zoo I’ve ever visited. The animals don’t look caged and looks like well treated. We saw many workers going around and taking care of things. Nice description next to each animal place. Really enjoyed it! You can easily spend there 1,5-2 hours without feeling it!

So pleased we came across this gem. Was so much better than expected, we could have spent hours however turned up an hour and a half before closing. Just managed to get around, although missed a few animals due to them going to rest. Every enclosure is unique and lends it's self to the animals habitat, the enclosures house more than one animal making it more natural. Just beautiful, I hate visiting somewhere that puts money making before the animals. This place is definitely putting the animals first 10/10. Would come to Spain so see this again.

I had the pleasure of visiting this small zoo park, and it turned out to be a delightful and cozy experience. Despite its modest size, the park has a unique charm. One of the standout features is how various animals coexist harmoniously, creating a wonderful sense of synergy among them.
Participating in the Lemur feeding session was an absolute highlight. Getting up close to these charismatic creatures and sharing a moment with them was truly special. Additionally, the bird performance was captivating, showcasing the intelligence and talents of these feathered residents.
The inclusion of a restaurant and a kids' playground inside the park is a thoughtful touch, ensuring that visitors of all ages can have an enjoyable time. It's a great place to spend a day, appreciating both the natural beauty of the animals and the convenience of on-site amenities. If you're seeking a cozy and entertaining outing, this zoo park is certainly worth a visit.
Laimonas Guiga — Google review
It was a beautifully presented zoo. Very clean and every enclosure had shade, trees and water, some with waterfalls, the sound would help to reduce the noise of the visitors for the animals. A small area where you could walk thru the Lemur enclosure. My only concern was the tigers and apes didn't have a larger area to run around in.

Amazing place , yes it isn't massive ,but the variety of Rare animals will leave you speechless. I have always dreamed of seeing Arapaimas , or Cassowaries and guess what , they have them out there ! On top of that Gorillas , Orangutans , Chimps , Tigers and a real Komodo Dragon. Lemurs watching at 11am daily , is a must see , as they are so funny and charming. The kids were very happy, and amazed. It's a really lovely charming place , The coffee in the restaurant tastes great , and the toilet's facilities are clean and modern. Also the location of this garden in the centre of Fuengirola, makes it easy to access , it's open from 10am and you will need about a half a day to view it all and you still manage to hit your dinner in the hotel at 3pm :). Great Day out.

We decided to go for dinner here after reading positive reviews on Tripadvisor. We weren’t disappointed we were met with a warm welcome with a complementary snack and good service. The food all arrived together and was tasty. They do offer a tasting menu but we all went for starters and mains to try as much as possible from the menu and everything was good. It’s a popular place so book a table, we wanted to just drop in a few days before our dinner but they informed us that they were fully booked. It’s a small cosy place with.

Playa de San Francisco is a bustling tourist beach with an array of amenities such as chair and umbrella rentals, towel service, boat rentals and waiters serving food and drinks. Activities are available at the marina if you fancy jet skis or boat trips
Bins available for rubbish. Toilets available. Showers to rinse yourself down after the sea. Little board walks to get to the beach.
Plenty of cafes and bars and restaurants to choose from over the other side of the road.

A quiet and clean place. Staff at the beach are very friendly and helpful. They are attentive to detail, so carefully care for both the sunbeds and the tables and sand. The rate is quite affordable: 2 sunbeds, an umbrella and a table cost 10 euros. The entrance to the water is pretty smooth and the sand is wonderful. It's fine-grained sand. Clean and clear water. Swim with a lot of curious fishponds. We've come back from vacation with a bunch of shells, some very big. I highly recommend!
Castillo Sohail is a majestic fortress that dates back to the 10th century. It boasts impressive walls and towers, and is renowned for its open-air concerts. The castle was constructed by Abd-ar-Rahman III in AD 956 with the aim of bolstering coastal defenses. Despite being situated amidst unappealing modern constructions from the touristy beachside, Castillo Sohail's charming architecture stands out beautifully against the backdrop.

Sould Park Fuengirola - Parque infantil y Atracciones is an outdoor amusement venue that offers simple rides and games which are specifically geared towards younger children. The facility is lively and colorful, with ample staff members to supervise and assist with the rides. It is perfect for kids below the age of 8-9 years. Visitors purchase a card with a deposit and add values on it, where buying ten credits results in getting twelve loaded up.
Lovely amusement park , it's off season now so it's open from 5pm. There are a lot of activities for kids , and if you plan to visit it multiple times during your stay ,it's a good idea to buy more credits , so for example spend 30€ on the card and you will get a lot of free € credits. So it's better than spending 10€ every day. Thank me later. Toilets present there and food facilities too. Overall a great place , and will make your kids happy. All machines take visa cards or Their card with € top up , and displays remaining balance. It's a bit small but perfect for a quick 30-60min play.

It was a very enjoyable experience for my three year old daughter. We stayed in this city for a week and he went to this park every day and he had a good time. I don't think it can be very entertaining for children over the age of seven and maybe just have one or two games suitable for them. But I think it is a good place for younger children and it is worth trying once.

Great for young kids. Our 3 & 6 year olds had a great time. Pricing is about what you'd expect, it is good that you get extra based on how much you spend (works by rides/games costing less if you top up more). Having read some reviews prior to going, we did notice some staff were a bit grumpy but found it quite amusing, they all did their jobs, and some were really friendly and helpful.

Great day out for little ones, our 5 year old was in heaven, little to do for any older than his age.
Staff were wonderful, very attentive and one guy, especially on the trampolines, was outstanding, so friendly and helpful.
We used a sould park charge card which we purchased for 1€ and then topped up, most rides were 3.50€ the most expensive ones being 5€ but the ride time was very long so worth the money!
Defiently worth a visit!

Went here with twin 4-year olds and they had a great time. The facility was very clean and there were lots of staff members to supervise and help with the rides. This is perfect for younger kids (below 8-9 years old). You buy a card with €1 deposit and add values on the card. If you buy €10 you get €12 loaded up. Unfortunately all the rides are expensive starting from €3.50 for 2-3 minute ride. We spent €14 for 2 rides per child for approximately 30 minute of amusement so it is pricey.

Very nice place for very young kids, circa 3-6 years. A couple of things for 2 year olds. They time each amusement like the play area for smallies and bouncy castle -you get 8/10 mins approx per payment. I paid 30 to top up a card and got 30 more free. You can also top up by 20 and get 10 free. The rides are hugely over priced at €3.50 per person per ride including accompanying adults. I had spent €60 within an hour and my kids are 2 and 4. Definitely wouldn't bother returning unless I was very local and staying in the area. It's a huge cost compared to the value of other activities in the area. Also you pay €1 for the card for top up initially also. And there are games inside that are €1 per use in the arcade and ticket based, I spent €6 to win 2 tiny lollipops for the kids!

We went few days ago, on a rainy day, therefore most attractions were closed. Each attraction that was still open cost 3.5 eur, gaming machines around 1 eur each. 4D cinema was open too. I asked the woman working there if my 3 year old son could be accomponied by the grandad as he was afraid to go alone, and if the also needs to pay another ticket, she said no, all good, as he is so small adult can go together. Man who let them in also said they can go together. I needed to top up my card as we only had 3 eur left, then another woman with accent (russian?) came over and said I need to pay 10 eur total for both of them, to which I replied 2 people before said grandad is fine to go without paying. She was pretty rude and kept saying they must terminate the session, that I must pay now extra etc. For an empty park and 3 year child who afraid to go alone, being that rude with customers - not a great business, lady....
Vaida Deikaite — Google review
This small park is great for small children but I think much older than 10 years will find less to enjoy. It’s the standard pay X for Y tokens so can get quite expensive pretty quickly. Still the kids have a great time, the rides are all pretty neat and the staff are really friendly and super helpful. Overall, worth going if you have small children and would like to entertain them for a couple of hours.

Fun rides for kids. You fill a card with money to use on the rides, you get bonus money for every amount you fill. We filled 30 euros and got 30 extra. Each ride is quite expensive though. 3.50 euro min for each ride which only lasts 2 mins.
Although fun place to spend an hour or two with kids

We have been often to Salon Varietes and most performances are good to very good. The performance "magic of the musicals" was however sub-standard. A big group of mostly young people performing parts from different musicals. However most of them could not sing, were singing out of tune and there was also a problem with the sound (for which the kids are not to blame, but the sound technician is). This show was more at the level of an end of year school performance, but not for in a theatre. You cannot let people pay EUR 18 for this low quality performance. Salon Varietes should have checked out the quality of the performance of this group before putting them on stage! We left during the break and we noticed that there were also people leaving already before the break. If you have one of your kids performing it is probably a nice show to see, but if you dont than this is not a show to be seen in a theatre. Im sorry Salon Varietes but this was a big miss in normally performances of high quality.

Puente de la Armada, also known as the Spanish Navy Bridge, is a modern pedestrian bridge that spans the Fuengirola River. It's a popular landmark and one of the most photographed spots in town. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely walk from the central bus station to the beach and continue towards Castillo Sohail, an ancient Moorish castle perched on a hill overlooking the shore.
Beautiful place under the castle

Wonderful piece of modern architecture set next to the historical Castillo Sohail. A clash of cultures that resonate well with each other.

I walked from the central bus station to the beach and walked along it towards Castillo Sohail and just beyond.
It didn't take long till the walkway along the beach ended and I turned around and headed back to the bus station to return back to Torremolinos on the 110 bus.

If you are in fuengirola take a walk towards mijas end to visit the castle and the bridge. It is not worth walking further as you will be alongside the very busy main road.
Most of it is for pedestrians, cyclists etc..

Bridge makes the walk so much better than a few years ago. Wide enough for family.with pushchair and couple with wheelchairs to comfortably peas each other without having to wait. Brilliant place to view the waves when the sea is really rough.

A fine image of the seaside and a good impression that you are a part of a Picasso masterpiece. This is the sensation I had walking on it.
And yes! This is the bridge that leads you to some great clubs and pubs...

Costa Water Park is a brand new, state of the art water park situated just off a sandy beach in Marbella and Puerto Banus. The water park has two locations and is suitable for all ages with plenty of attractions including giant slides, balance bridges & surfboards. It's great value for money and definitely not a rip off! Jellyfish are common in the season so be warned, but overall it's perfect for a fun day out.
Our kids 14, 13 & 11 loved this, much better than aquamijas (dont waste your moolah there)! We only did it once for 1hr during our visit but we'll be back next year! I have raised tadpoles so swimming isn't a concern for us, but kids should be water confident and capable to swim to go out. Not to mention be able to hoist themselves up. Getting out of the water and climbing up onto an inflatable isn't ever going to be easy.. Life vests are provided.

The idea is ok but they ask 15€ for 60 minutes. This is not a joke. They refused my kid because he is under 6 but they changed their mind and allowed my kid but informed me No refund if he doesn’t like it. It is a floating matrass no water activity on top of it. Fair price will be 3€ for 1 hour.

Me (66 years old) and my 10 year old grandson had a great time. Bit of a struggle getting out of the water and some areas a bit slippery, but great fun. Found muscles I hadn’t used for years. Slept well last night!

Decent pricing, definitely not a rip off! An hour is plenty long enough and it is general clean and well manned. Only criticism is that it's a little small for an hour! Watch out for jellyfish (they will warn you if its the season). Good on the whole.

Fantastic afternoon of fun!!
We went to CostaWaterpark at the top end of Fuengirola, we only did the hour session, but I wish we did the all day badge! The waves were up on the day, making the whole experience so much more fun with a whole lot more hilarious fails (definitely wasn’t for the faint hearted)😂. Kailee on the desk was wonderful too, she looked after all of our valuables for the duration and interacted with all the customers after asking how we found it.
Would 100% reccomend!

Be aware if you’re child is nervous of going on this. My son went on for 1 min. Turned around and jumped off. Too scared to do it. He’s 10. We went back to see if I could even swap his place. Shrugged shoulders and a defiant “no”. My daughter was then on her own and subsequently lasted about 30 mins - not fun on your own. I know it said no refunds but after 1 min?? They couldn’t give an iota. Clearly only interested in profit. 11 Euro’s down the drain.

Hahaha haha hahahaha... We had so much fun. My six-year-old daughter loved it, my ten-year-old daughter had a great time too. The sea was absolutely icy cold on the day we were there so be sure to check first!

Not so great if you easly feel sea sick due to the waves constantly rocking it.

When visiting Fuengirola, be sure to check out the iconic Monumento a la Peseta, a sculpture that pays homage to three generations of a family. The area offers great accessibility with wheelchair-friendly paths and accessible facilities along the beach. Take a leisurely stroll along the bustling seafront promenade lined with various dining options. Indulge in local cuisine at Restaurante Pueblo Lopez or explore the vibrant market where you can practice your haggling skills.

I like to stroll around the centre here and walk among the streets as it has lovely friendly feel to the place and lovely beaches a short walk away. Usually use the underground car park here and regularly pop in to the church when it's open. There also a main street off it where you can do shopping.

Very complicated system to buy tickets. Which results in queues of confused travellers. There are also two types of ticket machines. I've no idea what the difference is. I don't know who uses the train, as all appear to have to buy tickets, and all get confused and take ages. The 'assistance' is on the other side of the turnstiles, useless. It looks great, spoilt by poor implementation. Looks poor on the whole region, they can't even make buying tickets simple.

The Yacimiento Arqueologico Romano is a small but well-preserved archaeological site that contains the remains of several ancient Roman buildings. It's an interesting destination for history enthusiasts, and visitors can also enjoy a casual café and a fantastic bar restaurant nearby. The facility boasts beautifully maintained mosaics, and there's even a nicely kept park to explore. Overall, it's worth visiting this attraction to learn more about the area's rich history and see these captivating ruins firsthand.

Quite extensive remains of a Roman bathhouse with a small mosaic area still visible. Sadly, the villa that it was attached to is now under the adjacent dual carriageway. The site is sandwiched between the road and the elevated railway line but is worth a visit nonetheless. Nearby there is also an area where fish salting was carried out and the ancient fish sauce Garum was prepared. There is a nicely laid out garden slightly above the site (although I have never seen the fountains work) and a small cafe near the entrance is open in the summer months. Some of the artefacts recovered from the site are housed in a small building near the gardens but I have yet to find it open. There are new information boards around the site in Spanish and English.

We enjoyed the beach. It was directly in front of our hotel (Angela). They tirelessly cleaned the beach morning and night.
Sun loungers were probably the most comfortable we've used on holiday, they come with a mattress. They cost £7 per lounger for the whole day. Seems like a standard price across the whole beach.
The only thing is that they are reservable. So despite us going for 9am when they were absolutely empty we would be kicked off by the attendants for people who had reserved sun loungers. So just keep that in mind.
The attendants do also serve you drinks and snacks if you ask.
The sand is quite dark and does make your feet quite dirty, it also gets so so so hot!
The sea is also quite shallow, so it's waist high right the way out, which I would prefer to be a bit deeper (not that you can do anything about that!).
The locals all pile in at the front with their own chairs and parasols, gets pretty busy.

The Fuengirola Mosque is a Muslim place of worship located in Fuengirola, Andalusia, Spain. It follows the Saudi Arabian style and is positioned 1 km southwest of Sould Park. This small mosque has beautiful yet modest decorations and fills up during salat-ul-jumaah prayers. The younger imam recites the Quran with a melodic voice that is pleasing to listen to.

Beautiful Masjid (mosque). Very peaceful and tranquil. The Morrocan community are very welcoming. Spacious and clean place to worship. There is a pray section for women upstairs. The main hall downstairs is for men. There are two lovely knowledgeable Imams as far as I am aware. The Jummah Prayer (Friday prayer) can get filled very quickly, especially in summer and holiday season. When we visited in February 2024 the Friday Khutbah (sermon) started promptly at 14:30 and ended at 14:55. Then the prayer (salah) started at 14:55 and ended around 15:05. If the main prayer hall is full, then there is an area to pray in the basement area next to the washrooms on the left of the masjid. Thank you to the mosque and muslim community for allowing us to prayer in such a beautiful place Fuengirola.

There are many opinions of these Saudia style meshids. But I like this one. Fuengirola meshid is quite small - during salat-ul-jumaah the meshid is full - and homely, the decoration is rather moderate but beautiful. The younger imam recites the Quran with a deep, melodic voice, which is joy to listen. The main imam is a skillful speaker, his khutba in salat-ul-jumaah was convincing, even though I understand only few words arabic. I think that outside of prayer times this meshid accepts turists, too, to get acquainted with the beauty of our religion.
