Knuthenborg Safaripark is a popular drive-thru park in Denmark that features a diverse range of animals from around the world. The park is divided into 11 zones and also includes adventure and water play areas. Visitors can interact with friendly horses and goats as well as encounter more exotic creatures like monkeys, zebras, giraffes, and tigers. The tiger area has been recently upgraded to provide an even better experience for visitors.
Amazing experience!! Must try it, lors of atrractions, and things to do. We spent about 5hours inside the safari park, and we are usually very fast at places like this.
I do recommend to bring your own food for picnic, as for the food inside is only fast food.

This is amazing Safari Park, good for kids, adults and elderly alike. You can save money to buy tickets online in advance. Dinosaurs 🦕 🦖 park is the best. You would be lucky to spot the 🦁 and 🐅 if you wait and have patience

We spent 2 nights in the cabin-tents with a big veranda overlooking the savanna with giraffes. It was magical. Once the park closed for visitors and cars, we just sat for hours watching the animals roaming around freely. They were fed outside the huts, so we got to see them really close. We ordered both a breakfast and lunch box, and there arrived plenty of food of good quality. Before dinnertime, some really entertaining guides arrives outside the huts to answer question and tell the lodgers about the animals. We fell asleep with the sounds of nature, we heard the wolves howling, monkies shrieking and the pheasants clucking. Bring a sweater and some warm socks, the tents get quite cold at night. The duvets are warm and there are plenty of blankets.
The fossiled dinosaurs in the Evolution Museum was a great surprise. Later the same day we visited the dinosaur park, where there are animated dinos with sound, in the dusk, it was really well made and very realistic and really tied the whole experience. Very highly recommended to stay a couple of nights and really get to experience everything in peace, get to watch the animals live. We also got to pet ponies, goats and lamas. I dislike zoos and always feel bad for the animals, but in this park, they clearly have a lot of passion for the animals, and let them live with a lot of space and love.

Super nice place! Fun for the family and you can easily spend the whole day there. But important notice - during week day only Mombasa restaurant is open! The other one (Flinthuset) works only in weekends. You can also bring your own food&drinks. Totally recommend!

Knuthenborg Safari Park is unique because of its wonderful location! We have been here several times before, when our children were small. This time we stayed overnight, in a tent by the elephant enclosure. It is indescribable to sit on the veranda in the morning and see the elephants grazing in the morning mist. The tent is very comfortable, equipped with a shower and Weber electric grill, and we slept fantastically well. It is a great experience to walk through the park almost alone in the evening. All in all, a great experience and a lot of fun!

We go every year with our children and it is a nice place to spend a day. Nothing has changed since the first time we visited (6y ago) but still you can kill a day with family.
Same animals, same shop, same food same same same.
The Tigers and Lions are never there.
It's kinda losing its charm.
A bit pricey lately 😕

It was so much more than I expected!
I went with my kids 2 and 4 and they had so much fun. The Park is very well planned, we started our tour at 11am and finished at around 4.45pm. We didn't see all the enclosures but it was so worth it! Kids are especially invigorated by the animals that they can pet and the Dinosaur exhibition is quite remarkable.
We brought some snacks from home that we snacked on while on the drive through the park and finished at the Limpopo-land food court where we had some Burgers and Fries from the Mombasa Restaurant. The food was really good! The Burger and fries as simple and very delicious and reasonably priced. You can eat at the food court/terrace but it was quite windy when we went and we chose to have our meal in the car and it was no less delicious for that fact.
100% recommend! Bring some snacks, a camera and good walking shoes and ready to have fun.

Just wow! I never expected such a SAFARI in Denmark. You can drive around the grassland to see and touch(some of animals) animals with your own car and well made Dino robots in a life scale are bringing you to Jurassic period. The area is bit too small compare to the safari area but still very nice. There are also many spots where you can enjoy picnic. Bring your own food and drinks to enjoy the safari more and longer. Must go spot with your kids!

Knuthenborg has always been the place to go for our summer vacation in Denmark, and it never fails to entertain. Even now, when I'm 22 years old, i still tell my mom to drive to the horses or goats, so i can pet them. That's, of course, the most important part of the trip. Of course you also got more exotic animals, like monkeys, zebras, giraffes and of course the tigers, which area has gotten a significant upgrade.
All in all, a wonderful place, where the animals look like they're treated well. I don't think there will ever be a day, where i won't recommend Knuthenborg Park.

Less than what I expected! The map you receive is useless, signals on the road are not clear at all! It was interesting to see Big Joe and the Dino’s garden! A day with no kids would be ideal, too much noise!

We spent the whole day in this park and it was simply amazing. It's perfect for kids, especially since you can get out of the car in several areas. You've got everything there from huge giraffes to tiny monkeys :} The playground is a huge bonus as well and we also very much liked the dinosaur area. 7 hours went by so quickly.
It was raining a lot. But the place was perfect! It even had a toilet!!👍

(Translated by Google) Interesting museum where you get an insight into what life was like as a Polish seasonal worker on Lolland around the 20th century.
The first Polish barracks were built by De danske Sukkerfabrikker in 1893, which employed 400 Polish workers. For them, they built eight workers' housing for each 50 Poles.
The sugar factories quickly gave up recruiting the Polish workforce, which is why the first Polish barracks soon became empty. But the farmers adopted the barracks model and the number of Polish barracks quickly spread in Lolland-Falster.
The barracks at Højbygårdvej 34, Tågerup was built in 1911 by Godset Lungholm and the following year 30 Polish call girls were accommodated.
For many years, the barracks housed the Polish seasonal workers who were brought to Lolland-Falster in large numbers.

It thus has a late Romanesque nave, Gothic tower, nave choir from 1622, north wing from 1728, built at the behest of Frederik d. 4, and a modern porch. The nave of the church was rebuilt in the Renaissance, but its original form was preserved.
The choir of the original Romanesque church was demolished and replaced with a new and larger choir with Gothic vaults, so that the church today appears with flat stucco ceilings in the nave and aisles and Gothic vaults in the large choir

Dodekalitten is a contemporary installation art attraction that blends ancient standing stones and modern art concepts. The henge comprises six 7m-tall megaliths, each weighing over 25 tonnes, with stone-tops sculpted into human faces. An underground sound system makes the sculptures hum as if they were singing to each other. Dodekalitten's mystical aura is enhanced by its isolated location, offering sweeping views of fields of waving wheat and mid-distance seascape.
Interesting contemporary art. The sculptures are impressive and the ambient sounds from the rock speakers adds to the experience. I will definitely be back when they are all finished.

All in all, I'm still wondering about the story behind each face. So many expressions.

Hotel Saxkjøbing is a charming and welcoming property that serves delicious breakfasts and provides Wi-Fi. Guests can enjoy dining in the lovely courtyard area. The hotel rooms are cozy, but some of them may be on the smaller side. The maintenance team should clean showerheads and repair hangers on doors as they appear to be not functioning properly. Despite these minor issues, Hotel Saxkjøbing is a fabulous place that guests would love to stay at again.
Beautifu, l small, very very friendly hotel. We arrived late and despite kitchen was closed, we could order dinner and it was ABSOLUTELY delicious. Also the breakfast was top-notch.
I had noticed I was joined by my father, we receive what i belueve to be the smalles room, 115. It was not possible to movr the beds and as it was squeezed into the corner, it was some what uncomfortable. It was very very tight.
I would also recommend the maintanance team to clean the showerheads as almost no water came out. And repair the hanger on the door aka cover it. I mentioned all this to the front deak, but she wasnt really interested. Well well... 🙄
Nevertheless - I will definately come back. It is a fabulous place.

We almost regretted not having our entire wedding here, as it was so easy and relaxed working with the team from hotel Saxkjøbing. We will definitely be back and stay here again ourselves as well.

Unfortunately it was a terrible stay and completely unacceptable service level. We were a family of 10 (4 rooms) and 2 of our rooms were placed just above one of the hotel venues which had a massive party that evening playing loud music until 2am. Impossible to sleep given you could hear everything. We complained to the staff who said they wouldn’t do anything and would not even ask them to turn down the music so we had to go inside to tell the people at the party ourselves.
In the morning we told the receptionist what had happened and asked why they didn’t arrange for the actual party guests to stay in the rooms above and there was zero apology other than “we did the best we could and we did try to put the guests up in the rooms above”. Which is a complete lie as many of the party guests checked in after us, and there are only 4 rooms above the venue space - our family had been put in 2 of them!
When a second family member complained to the receptionist the answer was “you could have said you wanted the rooms together in a different part of the hotel”. It is ridiculous they put the responsibility of it on us!
Extremely disappointed and would not visit again.

Nice hotel. Some rooms are sligthly better than others (carpet vs nice wooden planks). No tv in the rooms. Dogs are allowed.
Breakfast is fine. Lunch/dinner is possible and very delicious with local ingredients. We tried 3 dishes, all tasty (steak, chicken and pork breast). The pork breast had a very nice apple sauce.

Lovely traditional restaurant with a Thai twist. Excellent food and service. Very popular so, so make sure you book on advance. I had spring roll starter and steak main. Both Excellent
After 15 years we visitet the museum again. Beautiful. Erika & David from Bavaria 🇩🇪

A little disappointing, I thought this would be an original preserved village but all the buildings were moved from elsewhere. Some of the information is available in English. In some places, it is too dark to read the info (although I appreciate that the original buildings would be dark!)

It's a well preserved piece of culture. The houses are kept just as they were, and it is fascinating to look at how things used to be. There's several closely clustered houses such as the smithy, the forester's house and they contain old furniture and relics such as pots, doll houses, weaving machines and tools. There are also several spots with old Danish games that are fun for adults and kids alike. The place also has the oldest wind mill in Denmark (the post being 426 years old) which is magnificent to look at. All in all, it's worth a quick visit when in Lolland.

Beautiful open-air museum on the outskirts of Maribo, which shows life from earlier times on the Danish island of Lolland: including beautiful half-timbered houses, a large farm and information about the storm from the 19th century. Not that big, you can be done in an hour. The lady behind the counter was very short-tempered...

My visit was when they did a Halloween event - The Darkest Night / Den Mørkeste Nat.
They did a great job to capture the spirit of All Hallow's Eve, while also adding historical value to the experience.

Interesting place, tells the story of how people used to live. The buildings are authentic. Entrance price I very reasonable. It's allowed to bring your own food and drinks, there are benches and tables around the area of the museum. The museum is very child friendly, but there isn't s lot for the youngest children to watch og play with.

A market is held every year on mill day, and a Christmas market on the 3rd weekend in Nov. It's always very cozy, and there are many cute Christmas things... the tent is grandma's garden shed.
Furthermore, the locations can be rented cheaply for parties.

(Translated by Google) Quite a cozy place, but shitty, grumpy neighbors, the "kitchen" is far too small if you have to have parties there, the dishwasher takes something reminiscent of a war when you have to wash the dishes, a real shame when you rents out the site to companies.

That was a nice ride with the old train. We came by boat and stayed at Bandholm harbor. As it was Sunday, we took the train to Maribo and returned with the bus which was free of charge. Our 4 year old daughter enjoyed the ride, too ;).

Beautiful railroad with original station and a cute little collection.
Fascinating quaint museum. Intricate models of the factory machinery used to process sugar beets. The docent, Jens Hovmand, was friendly and a wealth of information. Includes scrapbooks with photos of the fields, equipment andcsugar beets. Old artifacts, such as sugar packets with advertising, cone sugar, tools, models of churches and other scenes made from sugar cubes.

Right from the time the beets come in until the finest white gold is in the silo. Was lucky to meet a man who has worked at the factory for 46 years who had also helped build the model. He told many interesting things. Thank you for a good experience.
