Wow, so beautiful ❤️. The water of Lake Pend Oreille - pronounced "pond da ray", was so refreshing and crystal clear. We went swimming at Idlewild Bay. There is a "store", Cast, Blast, & Relax"- Food & snacks and they rent: bicycles, kayaks, paddle boards, & fishing gear! on the path down to the lake, before you get to the water. There are flush toilets and nice showers there, too. Plenty of parking. The park itself has a lot to offer: Gift shop, Disc Golf, Tree to Tree Adventure Park, Camping, Boat Launch for watercraft, horse trails, llama trails, hiking trails, mtn bicycle trails, Shooting range, museum at the Brig Jr. Ranger Station, Equestrian Campground, Model Aircraft Field(Insurance required), fishing, picnic sites, group camping, dump station. Winter Recreation :snow shoeing, Cross Country Skiing, fat tire biking. When you first check in to the campground office, there is a very informative visitor center, very interesting. Worth your time to check it out.
