Jack Fry's is a beloved Louisville institution known for its exceptional service, delicious food, and unique ambiance. Reviewers rave about the friendly and knowledgeable staff, outstanding dishes like the ribeye and lemon tiramisu, as well as the cozy low-lit vibes with live piano music. The restaurant's history since 1933 adds to its charm, making it a must-visit spot in the Highlands neighborhood.
This place was absolutely incredible. I so highly recommend. The service alone was outstanding. We had a table next to us that was the epitome of a horrible table and all the servers just smiled and dealt with it. Our server incredible. So friendly and nice. The food DELICIOUS. If you haven’t tried this place I give all the thumbs up possible. Also check out their web page for a little history. It’s definitely worth the read.
I think this is legit my top 2 restaurants in Louisville! LOVED the food, LOVED the staff, LOVED the piano, and LOVED the low lit vibes. Dress casual. Warm.... did I mention the food was seasoned WELL?! Sorry, but very rare I go to a restaurant and everything is seasoned to perfection. Already recommended this place to friends. A hidden gem in my opinion ✨️
It was incredibly loud, one of the loudest restaurants I’ve ever dined in Louisville. The owners describe it as lovely but when you listen to bar room talk about sexual acts openly and loudly in the dining room-I disagree. I couldn’t carry on a conversation with my wife from the large, loud parties crammed in all around us, never mind the room’s acoustics. The food was 2/5 at best, there is better food and values in Louisville. We wanted to get dessert but left because of the noise. I’m far from cheap when dining out, but this was a poor value and NOT an elevated dining experience.
One of the oldest place in Louisville, one can have best dine-in experience with warm ambience. Service is excellent and so does food. They serve limited collection bourbon whisky, also have large drinks menu.
For food I just try their spicy fried oysters, apart from Salad, but those oysters were too good, which quotes me to assume other food items on their menu would be of same standards.
One must visit just to experience their ambience and try limited collection of bourbon whisky.
The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious. I enjoyed the salmon. It's a great place to dine but not it you're going to catch up with a friend. It's so loud you can't hear yourself think. Other than that I would recommend.
