My meal at Salazar was fantastic. I appreciate how intentional they are with every dish, both big and small. I had the Brussels sprouts, fried pig ears, cajun duck leg, buttered mushrooms, and Nutella crepe. Oh, and an absolutely sublime rye / strawberry lemonade cocktail. These people know what they’re doing. They are culinary artists. Their competency demands to be rewarded.
My wife and I enjoyed our time at the restaurant for dinner. The bread and salad nibbles were fantastic. While I wanted the salmon I changed to the steak at the recommendation of the waiter to the steak. It was over seasoned but a great cut of beef. My wife liked but didn’t love her schnitzel. Good wine selection. Great service.
Went to Salazar for dinner with a couple of friends. We had the brussel sprouts and shishito peppers. The peppers were excellent, spicy, but not mouth numbing spicy. The brussel sprouts were rather charred but still quite delicious. We also got the branzino and the Cajun duck leg. Both were very delicious. The place is small and rather expensive, but quite worth it for a special occasion. Would visit again.
What an incredible meal. The fries were perfect, a variety of potato I didn’t even know existed. The duck leg dish was next level. The grits were the best I’ve ever had, the duck had a crispy skin and was rendered to perfection. Not to mention all at a very reasonable price. Ambiance is always on point. The bartender was very kind and accommodated my request for a cocktail with fernet. They freestyled it and it was perfect. I went by myself and have done so before. I would highly recommend taking yourself on a date there at the bar sometime.
Beyond delicious! The brunch at Salazar was highly recommended and it did not disappoint. The mimosa tasted super fresh and set a nice tone for the rest of the meal. My husband ordered the heirloom tomato grilled cheese and the crispy home fries, which were more like smashed potatoes which we love even more. I kept stealing some and loved the aioli it came with. I ordered the pork shoulder chilaquiles and added avocado for some freshness. It was the perfect amount of spice. I had so much to take home, too!
The atmosphere was really cool too. My husband and I couldn’t stop pointing out details we loved and wanted to incorporate in our own home.
Absolutely recommend!
