Paul Martin's American Grill offers a mix of experiences according to reviewers. Some mention the decline in food quality and service compared to when they first opened, with specific complaints about dishes like fried shrimp and sangria. However, others praise the fantastic staff, delicious food like deviled eggs and butter cake, great atmosphere, and standout items such as the Braised Short Rib and salt & pepper shrimp. The restaurant is commended for its upscale yet reasonably priced offerings, excellent cocktails and wines (though limited beer selection), private dining options, attentive service from servers like Frank or Taylor, delightful desserts including peach cobbler pie and warm butter cake with ice cream.
Stopped at this place for a last minute mother's day meal and wasn't disappointed. The desserts, especially the butter cake, was amazing.
The steak was cooked perfectly ,mashed potatoes were creamy, and the aioli that came with the calamari was pretty epic.
We've been coming here once a month since they first opened. We use to love the fried shrimp the batter was so good and they had shallots on them. Not anymore. The waiters used to be very experienced and Knowledgeable. I guess with it being hard to find people to work now the waiters are very inexperienced at least the past couple of waiters we've had. The old manager, waiters and bus boys knew us by name.We went for brunch we ordered the pitcher of sangria let's just say it was all ice. I couldn't taste the sangria at all it tasted like melted ice. If you order the sangria ask for it without ice. Me and my husband had the southern fried steak with gravy and eggs. It was ok the steak tasted like liver. My eggs were cold 🥶 I sent them back for hot ones. My son had the hangover burger and he loved it. It did look really good. I really hope they get back to the quality food and service we once loved about them. I gave it 4 stars because I know what this place used to be and hope it can get back there.
A really really nice place. Upscale but with ok prices
The service was excellent and there are lots of cocktails 🍸 and wines to choose from... very limited in their beers and they concentrate on beers 🍻 that are found everywhere. I'd love them to get a few "out of the box" beers.
The bread at the start was a major disappointment... and I'm one of many people that start my opinion on a restaurant from the time the bread comes.
They lost a star for the bread and the beer.
But other than all that, I'd certainly recommend this restaurant.
Hopefully they work on the bread 🍞 and the beers 🍻.

I gotta say the deviled eggs are probably the best take on deviled eggs I’ve ever had. A few of the dishes were actually pretty large portions and the burger was made well and exactly as ordered. The service was prompt and welcoming and the restaurant was a nice and calm vibe, very easy to have a good conversation without yelling.
This American restaurant is a true gem! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a fancy and impeccably clean ambiance. The staff, especially our waiter Frank, are incredibly nice and attentive – we always request him whenever we dine here. The food is simply outstanding, with each dish bursting with flavor. Whether you're in the mood for steak, seafood, or anything in between, you can't go wrong with any choice on the menu. Additionally, the wine list boasts some excellent selections, and the cocktails are top-notch. Overall, dining here is always a great experience, thanks to the wonderful food, drinks, and service.
