A fancy restaurant with a cozy backyard and very friendly staff and great food! Definitely check this place out! A great place for special days and occasions! We enjoyed all the food we ordered and their drinks are great, too. Their steak was very delicious and we really liked our appetizer which was a combination of 3 different type of appetizers they have.
Little pricy but reasonable compare to their service and unique space.
I have never been to a Cuban restaurant before and this place set the bar really high. The food was so incredibly delicious. I had a salmon plate with rice and plantain and the salmon was so exquisitely seasoned. Their drinks are also some of the best I've had. I highly recommend. Parking is tough, but the food and atmosphere are totally worth a visit.
A positive festive atmosphere with tasteful ethnic decorations throughout. Seating seemed cramped for the dining area as to maximize the number of tables in the area. It was nearly impossible not to interrupt the adjacent table just to sit down. Although background music is pleasing, it shouldn't be so loud you raise your voice to maintain a conversation with the person next to you. The table next to us spoke so loudly I was able the share a laugh with the jokes they told. Food is tasty and presented well. Truth is for a dish costing $35 I shouldn't be hungry when I leave. Parking was so difficult, I circled the parking for 15 minutes until I found a spot. No valet available. Botton line: not worth the expense and very challenging parking situation. Food wasn't that good to endure the parking and loud dinner chatter.
I love the outdoor patio area and the ambiance of the place. Not many Cuban restaurants in Orange county, so I am glad we have a great one in Costa Mesa.
I have dined here a few times and the service is consistently good. The food is tasty, with generous portions, with the grilled salmon being my favorite dish.
Parking is usually a pain with any place at the Lab, so I would plan some time to either wait for parking or for a bit of a walk if you need to park down the street.
Went here for an early NYE dinner and it was so fun. Our server was amazing and so nice and lively. The drinks were delicious but pretty sweet. We got the appetizer sampler (taste of habana) which was amazing. While they have “outdoor” seating, you can tell it’s pretty much enclosed. It does get chilly in there but they had really good space heaters. Would definitely come back here again!
