Value for money.
I was expecting to visit Mudgee brewing company as part of our holiday in Mudgee. Had no expectations for the food.
So, we went for lunch and was a great experience. Great beers, recommend the sour beer they have.
We had a pork belly entry. Was so good, crispy and nice flavour. We asked for lime wedges, that hit the spot.
I had the chicken shinitty, the salad that came with it was amazing. Best salad withi a shinitty I ever had. The gravy was ok. And the shinitty was shallow fry, not deep fry. Was ok, but because of the shallow fry the distribution of crispness was uneven.
My wife had the pulled pork burguer, well executed nice coleslaw.
In general, I would recommend this place.
Decent enough place with a few nice drops on the taps. Quite a big place. Indoor seating, plus on street tables and a courtyard of sorts out the side. Good food, fast service. The usual stills on show, nicely displayed at nightime with a few coloured lights.
Great beers! I had the tasting board of the four house brewed options on tap and all were of a high quality. I was particularly excited by the red ale which had plenty of flavour and still easy drinking!
I commend this brewery and its Mudgee Mud Stout in the strongest possible terms! If you appreciate a fine stout and taste Mudgee Mud, you will quickly realise you are experiencing something special: the very best. The premises, staff, food and, of course, the beer, makes the journey to Mudgee a trip to remember - and savour.
Nice venue. Didn't eat but beers were good. Was surprised to see a lot of tape space for other breweries. Think they need to back themselves and push their own beers because they're decent.
