Incrediblely delicious desserts! We didn't eat in the restaurant but I would like to sometime. The desserts are top notch though and reasonably priced. So, if you're in the area, definitely stop in and give them a try!
Service was very friendly and helpful. Especially in selecting from all of the options.
I felt the pastries were reasonably priced compared to the market and what you're getting
Between 4 macaroons and a pumpkin pastry, absolutely delicious!
Highly recommend
We stepped into this bakery on a cold and blustery morning and were enveloped by the aroma of coffee and greeted by the most beautiful patisserie display ever! It is a delight to choose from a wide variety of stunning and mouth watering options. The chef’s wife, Estelle, was very warm and welcoming and her authentic french accent added to the appeal. My husband and I ordered cappuccinos and the tiramisu and azure pastries. The azure was the clear winner but the tiramisu was delicious too. The sitting area for bakery patrons was a bit tight but other than that, it was an awesome experience. If you like french patisserie, visiting Barbaret should at the top of your list!
It is difficult to find a restaurant seat for Saturday dinner, This French restaurant hidden behind the dessert shop is easy to forget. Luckily there are seats at the bar. Every dish is exquisite and the environment is beautiful, I especially like their chocolate cake, it is indescribably delicious, come again next time.
Our dinner here on New Years Eve was PERFECT. We had early reservations and arrived earlier than expected. We were seated at a very comfortable table, and our server was spectacular. Their cocktails are amazing. I had the Vanilla Chai. It tasted like an adult Vanilla Milk Shake but not as thick. From the French Onion Soup, Appetizers, Dinner and Dessert with Cappuccino.... everything had so much flavor and was worth every penny spent. My husband had the 72 hr Short Rib. It was cooked perfectly. I had the pan seared salmon. It was also cooked perfect and was the best I ever had. We shared two desserts. No wonder Cedric won Chopped Sweets. His quaint pastries are beautiful as they are delicious. The atmosphere is chic, lovely, quiet, and quaint. You have to walk through their beautiful bakery past the colorful bountiful pastries towards the back to get to the Bistro. Don't mistake this place for other places upstairs. When you go, allow for enough time to sit and relax. It's not a place you want to go if you're in a rush. You'll want to take it all in, relax, have a drink, and dine in and have dessert. When you're ready to leave, don't forget to take something home from the bakery. Rosie, our server was sweet. She was knowledgeable of the menu, answered all our questions, and was very attentive. Can't wait to come back and dine in again. It's great for any occasion, whether a Birthday, Anniversary, or Date Night. Go! You won't be disappointed.
