Fork, located in a historic landmark building in Boise, offers exceptional food and atmosphere with friendly and attentive service. Guests rave about the unique flavors of dishes like asparagus fries, chicken, and Boise Chopped Salad. The farm-to-table concept is highlighted along with locally sourced ingredients. While some mention slow service or minor seasoning issues, overall experiences are positive with delicious meals and delightful desserts like butter cake.
Took my wife to Fork for a Valentines date. The food and atmosphere was exceptional. The hosts and wait staff we're friendly and happy, with attentive service to our table (not the case at some places these days). Food was unique, flavorful, and well prepared. Love the fact I can make reservations! Would be great if other restaurants would allow reservations too! Thanks Fork and our waiter Ryan!
Great place to grab Brunch, Lunch or Dinner! Food is always fresh and delicious! Portion sizes are plenty big enough. They offer both gluten free and vegetarian options on the menu. Service has always been friendly and quick every time I have eaten here! I love that their food is locally sourced! Definitely recommend if you are in the area!
Tried the Boise Chopped Salad or BCS with smoked salmon and boy oh boy was that a treat. The salmon was smoked perfectly with a delicate flavor which complimented the bed of arugula and white cheddar. Don’t let the look deceive you I’m a 6ft 2” man with an appetite and this salad left me stuffed. Decor was great and the waiter was friendly and not pushy. Will definitely go back again.
We had a great time catching up some local friends. Outdoor seating area is incredible. Indoor a l little more cozy, but wherever you get seated, get over there. The suggestion was to try the fried asparagus. I'd show a picture, but they were consumed as they touched the table. Absolutely recommended for y your next trip into downtown Boise.
I had such high hopes for this place and at first everything was perfect. Our server came right up to us as we were seated for an early dinner. We had a party of 7 which I get can be overwhelming and we all understood that. Our drink order was put in and then shortly after that our dinner orders were in. We didn't see our server again until we got food and since it's all made to order it was about 35 to 40 min so our drinks were empty. The food comes and it all looks so good but the fries were cold, not warm like they just sat there for a second but cold as if they sat for a while. The steak was ordered medium rare and came well done and tough. Everything else was alright, nothing to write home about just average. We eventually got warm again, not hot, fries and when a new steak came out it was a lot smaller than the first but perfectly cooked. Others in our party ordered the grilled cheese, a salad, burgers, salmon and a kids spaghetti. All in all everyone liked the food but the initial impression wasn't good and definitely wasn't worth what we paid in the end. Our service was alright but we all definitely ran out of drinks multiple times and we had to flag down a server to get the food the fixed after we waited a while because we literally HATE being those people. Normally we would not have asked for anything to be fixed or complained about preparation, however, when you're paying a premium price the food should come the way you order it
