People sit in the long rows and food will be served in steel plates using trolleys. Must eat here once you come for Darshan. Hot food and tasty. If you are late you may miss curry ( banana fry item).

I have had food at many famous temples like Dharmatsala, Tirupathi, Kukke Subramanya, etc. but Udupi Temple have very poor food quality. In the rice serving atleast 15-20 rice bugs was there. We consider this as Prasadam and don’t want to complain. But definitely this quality requires improvement.

Kind of prasasan in the form of food. The devotees are given food free of charges. The serving starts only after a line of people are seated. The plates come in a trolley,. Infact, everything comes in trolleys pulled by the service persons . The plates are to be picked when they go past you. The serving starts with a sweet. Then the rice is served, followed by dal, and finally chaas. The devotees need to give their plates themselves for washing, before washing their hands

When ever I vist this temple I don't miss to have Annaprasadam all men, women,children can sit in a "Q"and have food one who wish to receive the food in the floor(plate less or with out plate) can have and other can take plate. Every day afternoon 12.30pm to 2.30pm and evening meals at 7.30pm to 9.pm.

Lovely divine place. Bhojan shala were served with piping hot rice and sambhar, paysam and sweets. During festival seasons, the bhojana shala will be crowded. Daily two times prasadam(lunch) will be provided. Even, you can contribute to the Meal scheme if you are interested.

Best service from the temple. Dont miss to have Prasadam on Saturday that day you have option to have food on floor with out plate. Every Saturday this will be done. Come with well wishes and your wish will come true. Believe yourself all wishes will come true.

Jolly beach is on the shore of the Arabian Sea and a lighthouse. Many films have been shot at this location. Kaup has three Marigudi which attracts devotees from far away places. The sea is much more rougher and intimidating compared to the gentler Malpe beach in Udupi. It is about 15 km from the university town of Manipal and is a favorite hangout for the students. The beach also sports a shack and a bar with seating in the open sky. Though the sea is mostly calm all year round, there have been isolated cases of drowning in this beach.

Such an amazing and picturesque beach... sunsets are just mind-blowing at this beach. However, off lately, a lot of tourists at this beach are littering around a lot. Hence requesting each one of us to keep the place clean as clean is beautiful....

Wonderful beach with clear vast view of the sea. Next to the beach there’s light house where visitors are allowed to climb to the top. Few restaurants around the beach and fast food and juice corners are there.

A very good spot for watching the sunset. The beach is quite deep and the guards are at place for the rescue. They blow whistles when someone moves deeper into the water. There are a lot of shops which sell cool drinks & ice creams around. There are many local vendors selling kites and other beach playing stuffs. A few Dustbins can be kept and cleanliness can be enhanced here!

Kapu beach is a very beautiful beach with pristine sand. The attraction is the famous lighthouse, huge boulders and beautiful sand beach divided by lighthouse and back water..... the birds most visible are sanderling, seagull, egret and crows. Amenities at the beach available is toilet, bathroom, shops for gifts and restaurants along with many street vendors selling lot of items. .... the beach is good for kids to play. The view of sunset from light house is amazing. There also is ferry which leaves to island periodically. The staff tries to keep the beach very clean but visitors don't respect it and throw trash. The beach is free to visit. The car parking near by costs 20-30 rupees. Food cost is nominal. Beach toys are available in shops. The ATV rides and few more games available at beach. The visit to light house costs 8 to 15 rupees and its worth the money, but you need to climb the 120 stairs to reach top. No lifts 😉

Superb beach and nice snacks and play area with bike ride (300) available horse ride (100) camel ride (100) for one person but you can bargain to sit with children for 150 one ride elder and small child. Light house Entry fee (10) cash only. It is good but needs strength and stamina to climb stairs which are also small. Disadvantages: when we visited due to no power we didn't have water to use for bathroom and rest rooms. Disclaimer: things change when you see my review so make sure to investigate before going.

Kaapu beach and lighthouse are absolutely fantastic. A must visit if you are in Udupi. The beach has fine white sand and there are water games too. The lighthouse is towards the right side of the beach. You can also see the river streams merging with the sea here around the lighthouse. Entry to the lighthouse costs 10 rs per adult. The stairs are curving and maybe difficult to climb for some. The last part of the stairs is a very steep climb for around 20 steps. The views are worth the climb. You can see miles into the sea and the backwaters and the beach. There is are food stalls for snacks and toilets at the entry to the beach. Car parking space is sufficient and cost rs. 20.

Kapu Beach Lighthouse was built in 1901 by the East India Company.The total height of the lighthouse is 27.12m. The lighthouse is open to public in the evening except during monsoon season. The closest busstand is Kapu and one can board a rickshaw from the bus stop to reach the beach. There are plenty of water sports held in the beach and tourists can experience the rides at affordable costs. Plenty of shops around the beach premises selling eatables. Road to the beach is very narrow and the parking space is limited.

At a distance of 16 km from Udupi, Kaup Beach is a beautiful beach situated close to NH17 between Udupi & Mangalore. It is one of the must include places in Udupi Tour Packages, and among the best beaches near Bangalore. We are here at the wrong time cause it's raining and we can't enjoy walking in the water because of high tide. Apart from this the atmosphere is really nice, calm and peaceful. We spend our time sitting near the beach and lighthouse. The lighthouse opening time was 5.15 pm to 6 pm and they charged for the entry in the lighthouse.

Nice beach to spend time with family, kids. It is almost clean. Usually crowded on weekends. We have the light house on beach which is nice attraction. Pay and use Washroom, bathroom are available. The snacks counters are available on the walk way towards beach. Ample amount of space available for parking (Rs.20 for bikes)

I was very impressed by this beach. There was ample paid parking and the beach is well developed. Many food and drink stalls plus well marked toilets. There is a section of beach marked safe to swim. The beach is very clean and well maintained. The light house next to beach is an attraction and is open in the evenings only. The views from top would be amazing Ideal time is to come early in the morning or during sunset

Great place to spend evenings. It's not too crowded and the sun set is spectacular. You can go to the top of the lighthouse from 5pm, a ticket will be available at the base of the light house. I highly recommend you to climb to the top the view from there is very good. It's a bit difficult to climb at the last part on top since it's a bit congested so be careful with kids here.

Beautiful beach and I felt it's silent then malpe beach. Crowded but calm. People were playing in the water, climbing rocks, climbing light houses, playing in sand, busy enjoying refreshing in shops, sitting on the bench and some playing activities like camel ride, kids activities and playing with kite 🪁 They have multiple options for food and refreshing snacks. This beach is around 5 km away from Kapu junction. You do have an auto stand who charges 50 rupes to drop you here and pick from the auto point next to entry. Parking facilities for two and four wheeler are available.

Cleanest beach of all the beaches in Udupi. Plenty of parking and lot of food options. Consists of lot of play areas for kids. View from lighthouse is too good. People are chill, water is good, most of all beach is clean which changes the mood completely. Drive to the beach is great too. Has a small bathing area too with silent water for kids to enjoy.

Awesome experience we had !! The beach is different with large rocks all around and the famous lighthouse standing tall at the top of the rocky hillock !! There's a lot of public transport options available but can be visited by personal vehicles as well. Well maintained parking lots and various stalls for beverages available in the entrance. The whole beach has been nicely maintained. Sunset from the beach and from the top of the lighthouse is the most popular activity !! Great place to visit with family and friends !!

It's a beautiful and serene beach with a lighthouse. It's not a commercial place and there are no facilities like changing rooms or food stalls. You can see the backwaters and the sea on both sides. If you have enough stamina to walk upstairs the lighthouse, you can experience an amazing view. A public washroom is near the lighthouse but not advisable to use it unless in emergency.

Aanegudde is a popular temple which is very close to Udupi on the highway. I have been visiting this temple from at least 20years now and it has not changed even a little. The temple is so so homely and feels very nice to visit again n again. The premises is quite well maintained and they serve food to everyone everyday for free. There is ample of parking space and even the darshana will not take any time. May lord Ganesha bless everyone

This is the place where Bhimasena got weapon from Vinayaka to kill Kumbhasura (reason why the place is called Kumbhashi) One of the 7 mukti sthalas of Parasurama kshetra, the Moorthi is 12 feet tall Aane Gudde Vinayaka which is 'UDBHAVA MURUTHI' (Natural Stone) in the shape of Vinayaka Another belief associated with the place is that this moorthi of Vinayaka (Ganesha) is growing every year. One of the best temples located in Karnataka. This temple has a huge Ganapathi statue in the garbhagudi.

This temple is very famous and beautiful too. The murti of Shri Ganapati is also very cute. Shri Anegudde Ganapati is very attentive and hence devotees come here from all around. Devotees can get easy and quick darshan without any long queue. The Ganesha murti here is facing the west direction which is unique. Ample car parking area in front of the temple is available, with trees giving shade.

A very prominent & famous shrine in udupi district. Divine surroundings. Pious, humble & down to earth priests. Huge area specially alloted for vahan ( vehicle pooja) @ just rs 30 for a 4 wheeler. Ample car park. You can walk up the steps from the main road or there is a good road to take your vehicles all the way near the entrance of the temple. Good seva counter. A must darshan of Lord siddhivinayak at kumbashi ( coondapur talkua, udupi district)

Kodi Beach is popular for its peacefulness, cleanliness, and neatness.The addition of the new Sea Walk route has added to the allure.With a nice air and an ocean view, a nighttime walk along the Sea Walk trail is immensely energising.The sunset views are breathtaking.

One of the clean and beautiful beaches. As this area is not much explored and less of tourism hence it is more peaceful and definitely a good experience. The water is clean and blue. Sand has a good texture. Very few idiots throw garbage. It's a good place to visit with your parents, family, kids, friends etc. Also there are few beach dogs and they are very friendly. Visit once in a while.

A beautiful and a safe beach . No tourist at all . There are many guest houses by the shore . The beach doesn’t have a sudden dip so it’s pretty safe to play in the beach .

Its a very near and clean beach. There's two oart to Kodi beach, and Delta point. The road in this video goes along with the shore, and its well maintained. Its good to see that more and more public is understanding the importance and they keep it clean too.

I'm a local guy here and let me tell you everything you need to know!! The beach is very clean due to the clean drives conducted by the localites so don't pollute the beach by throwing random things and the delta point/sea walk will be crowded in the weekends so its better you go to the beach instead of the sea walk if you are an introvert like me!! And there is resturant near the beach so if you need a quick bite you can go there!!
