After visiting many other cities I can still stay Piata Unirii stays on top of the list! I like a lot the refurbishment of the old buildings around the Piata Unirii that brings a lot of character to the area. There are a variety of caffes and terraces all around if you're planning to spend one day around! The service,food and hospitality won't disappoint you!

A culturally significant cathedral; it's in an excellent location, beautifully designed, if you can catch a more peaceful hour then it is truly an experience to behold. Looks great at night, during the day, and even during sunset as the sun's final rays reflect on its exterior.

Is locatet cross the street of center Next to the buss stop from there you can get the buss to go in all direccion in timisoara

For me is the most and impressive building in Timișoara with a lot of history! Built on an area of 1,542 m2 (16,600 sq ft), it has 11 towers, of which the central and the highest has a height of 90.5 meters.[1] The Metropolitan Cathedral is one of the highest building in Timiș Region.

If you are already in Timisoara, you should not miss visiting this cathedral.

It occurs to me, that it's the only landmark building in Timisoara. Ofcourse, i could be wrong. It's much bigger in real life than i thought. Built from small bricks, which makes it even more unique. Definately worth a visit, because once you're there you might crash someones wedding, like i did!

A very beautiful Orthodox church in Timisoara, in many ways different from Orthodox churches in Serbia. Very nice architecture. We came unprepared to Timisoara and the only thing we knew was that the church had a green roof, so we looked for it by asking the inhabitants of Timisoara: Excuse me, where is the church with a green roof??? And they looked at us in amazement. :)

The Orthodox Cathedral, also known as the Metropolitan Cathedral, is a Romanian Orthodox church in Timișoara. The cathedral is the seat of the Archbishopric of Timișoara and the Metropolis of Banat. I am an atheist, so my judgment is purely aesthetic, the cathedral is beautiful! It can be seen from many points in the city, a landmark in beautiful Timişoara. It's really impressive up close...

It a small church but still very nice. The entrance if free of charge and you should get in. But maybe some more information for foreign visitors with some fliers should be provide.

The Metropolitan Cathedral of Timișoara is current the tallest church in Romania. Set at one end of the Operei Square, its 90m height towers all of the surrounding buildings. It was built between 1936 and 1941 and is one of the main symbols of the city. Its architectural style is somewhat unique for an Orthodox church since it is a combination of Romanian Moldavian traditions with the Byzantine architecture style.

Small park in Timisoara. We were a bit late in mid June to see the roses in full bloom.

Had a short walk through and even though it was cloudy and raining slightly it was very refreshing. The park is well maintained and is rather big

I was on 29.06.2023 - not so many roses and not so much blossoming as expected. I'm not impressed. But not bad. My walk took about 20 minutes.

The area is quiet and the park itself is nice albeit it could be better maintained At the time of my visit in late April there were no blooming roses there though

Picturesque view also good for events and wedding pictorials. Just need to maintain the wood benches cause all their white paints are already coming off.

I went there during a concert and it was very convenient. The place was full of lights and decorations which added to the experience.

This park, although tiny, is wonderful. Bonus, it is flanked on one side by the river (and you can get on boat rides) and on the other side by wonderful blossoming trees (in spring).

Yesterday our family visited this amazing mall. It is an excellent building, there are lots of shops, fast food restaurants, cafes, and so on. We parked in the Multilevel Parking, we were able to pay the parking fee with card (5 RON/Hour). The people are very friendly, helpful and smiling. They speak english very well in all store. We would like to especially thank the Bershka store employees for their help, and the unknown buyer. My daughter left her shoulder bag in the fitting room, but she didn't realize it until five minutes later. She ran back and luckily someone handed the bag to the staff. She got it back in full.

Close to the center, a few minutes' walk.. Wonderful ambience.. Carousel, artificial lake with fish, water lilies, bamboo.. Greenery prevails and the soothing sounds of relax and jazz music coming from the loudspeakers that are on the lawns along all the paths of that "city". A huge shopping center, restaurants, exchange offices, cafeterias..places for children..lots of benches, covered by video surveillance. The workers generally do not know English, so communication is difficult. They are often rude and unprofessional. Neither "good day", nor "please!" no "goodbye".

I like the architecture and the good number of opportunities one has here, from business to food and drinks. Elegant, practical space.

Absolutely lovely place for a relaxing walk and spending time with family. So many things to do,specially for the little ones.

Nice place with everything you need inside from clothes to really good food! Outside is just perfect, the park, the lake and everything else. I was really happy to be there and very surprised that outside was so quiet and pleasant. And just one more... It was perfectly clean inside and out 👌

The place is nice and clean but the directions of the places such as toilet and other ones are not very good. The toilet is upstairs but you can’t tell that by following the signs. The smell in the bathroom could be better though. Other than that the mall is nicely designed and there are a variety of clothes shops, accesories shops and a supermarket too.

A very nice shopping complex. Very green and calming, very active aswell (lots of concert and events take place here) Very good restaurants and cafes. The mall is a bit confusing, you ll find yourself struggling to find an exit but you can always ask someone for guidance, and everyone is always helpful.

Its the most important mall of timisoara and at christmas and new jear there is a christmas tree but there is also an other mall in timisoara the name is shopping City

Such a great place to relax in the evenings after work. You can have a nice dinner followed by some crazy waffles filled with everything you're dreaming of and a very nice smoothie or bubble tea. I mean... Bubble teas!! Tell me where else you have heard about something like that. Motiko desserts... Oh God... That place is just pure heaven, I am telling you.

I was here during a one-day visit to the city. It is a huge shopping center, it has a beautifully landscaped area outside. The inside is clean, pleasant and a lot of shops and contents, I was there on Saturday when there were traffic jams and only a few parking spaces, nevertheless, the workers guided us. It was the pre-Christmas season, during Advent. Auchan got a thumbs down for the paymant method. Thanks to my Romanian guides S & M!

It's a nice mall with lots of shops, no doubt about it. The outdoor space is also very pleasant. But if you're trying to find a certain shop it is insanely confusing due to the number of different buildings and levels. The map didn't help much either considering one of the shops I was trying to find isn't listed, we found it only because we happened to see the logo through the window.

Such a beautiful Mall. Have open floor concept on the outside with lake and Christmas decoration. Really magical in this time of year. This is the biggest Mall in Romania on 6500 m 3. It has concerts in main hall, expo concept, activities varies from time of the year. The only thing i didnt like is bathroom. It is small and crowded. This needs attending.

Iulius Town Timișoara (until 2019 Openville Timișoara) is the name of a mixed-use development, edge city and shopping mall located in Timișoara, Romania. Owned by the Iulius Group Atterbury Europe consortium, the project was conceived from the beginning to integrate Iulius Mall, now completed with office, retail and entertainment functions. The mixed project includes, in addition to the shopping area, a park, event rooms, offices, a health center, a cinema and over 4,000 parking spaces. Over 442 million euros were invested in the first phase of the project, partially inaugurated in August 2019, being one of the largest infusions of private capital in the real estate sector ever made in Romania. The estimated annual traffic for Iulius Town is over 20 million visitors.

The outside garden area is wonderful and a joy to sit or walk there, great for a quick bite or even lunch/dinner at the outside restaurants. Also has some merry-go-round and trampolines for children. They sometimes organize various mini events, both fun and interesting Huge and numerous parking places, indoors, underground and outside.

Nice place for walking, relaxing. In the past river was cleaner and you could swim, but now you can't.

A very nice river which pass through all Timisoara Town. To admire the places, and parks that are situated on both banks of the river you can take the public bus boat and make a short journey. The boats are new and modern. A good way of transportation!

Nice to have a walk on the shore, you can also take the boat bus but there are still some thinks that need improvements. Also Bega Boulevard it's a lovely event and in the summer you may enjoy a lot of restaurants on both sides.

The dirtiest and the most smelly river you can find in Serbia. To be even funnier there is no industiral waste, the main reason is that sewerage from the whole city with around 70k citizens, goes to this river, then via Tisza and Danube to Black sea where people swimming in our wastewater

One of the nicer things about Timisoara has to be its river Bega. Recently some things have changed but here's an update : 1) the closer you get to the central part of town, the more you'll be pleased aesthetically by the river banks. 2) good place to go by bike for a ride. Nice for long strolls. A good choice for runners also. 3) you've got many options when it comes to food and drinks as far as I am concerned 4) plenty of parks near it that you can explore if you chose to do so 5) activities such as kayaking are out for now because city council has put in a new transportation system in place (small boats up to 50 people i think) that I can't be 100% objective about because some restrictions have been put in place now on water sports on the river so I'll let you make up your mind on how you feel about it. 6) fishing is possible if that's something you enjoy 7) further plans on enhancing aesthetics are in place and on going.
