A wonderful lake situated in Munster. A good place to spend time with nature.

Beautiful place to chill. Evening time is best. When sun sets the West part becomes reddish and outstanding!! Have chance of boating on the lake water.

We've had the Persian 4shanbesoori tradition there, and enjoyed a lot.

Great place for a peace of mind.. The lake, ducks and the wind was soothing. Perfect for a calm jog , chat with someone or even just sit and stare at the wide open lake.

It is worth an evening walk or jogging around it. Very quiet and nice view.

Beautiful lake. There is facility of boating in the lake which costs around 10Euro. You can sit near the lake and see the ducks and other birds. Around the lake, one can go for walk or jogging.

Hardly ten minutes on foot from Prinzipalmarkt, Aasee is a 40-hectare man-made lake beginning on cusp of the old town and continuing southwest for over two kilometres. The lakefront is cushioned by a broad band of inviting parkland, laid with lawns, trees and public art, and travelled by cyclists, joggers and strolling families. There are restaurants and cafes at regular intervals and a raised terrace in the modern complex on the north shore, where you can also hire a pedal boat for self-navigated trip around the lake. At this spot you’ll find the jetty for SOLAARIS, a solar-powered boat that ferries people from the city centre to the Allwetterzoo on the west shore.

Really awesome and beautiful lake. Worth a trip, either for a walk along the bank or to take a little boat and paddle along. We choose the latter, a bit tiring but really worth it!!

A very well-kept temple. Inside there is a whole lot of beautiful sculptures and paintings. The huge organ is impressive. Worth a visit when in Munster.

St. Paul's Cathedral is a 108 metre long structure built over a apan of 40 years in the 1200s. The entire build of this gigantic church is a typical representative of Gothic style. There are three organs here and the Astronomical clock is an attraction worth seeing.

One of the most beautiful churches I've ever seen. The architecture, the stained glass windows, the art inside are just amazing. The astronomical clock was my favorite part.

It doesn’t catch your eye from the outside, but it is marvelous from the inside, and full of tiny yet beautiful details.

The cathedral was destroyed during the war and reconstructed. Free entrance but take into account that if there's any activity inside you can't enter and you have to wait.

Incredible cathedral. It was damaged during the war and throughout the years. I like how it displays pictures of how it was look like with the damages and how it was restored and rebuilt to today’s shape. Inside the cathedral there are many chapels of which each of them shows different design and decorations. The most beautiful and impressive thing inside the church is the astronomical clock. It’s kept the original form and calendar which was built in 1600’s. It’s amazing to see how complicated the mechanical system was back then.

This church is so wonderful. You see a lot of history and the spirit of the middle age. It is free and you can walk around. What at the clock in the church. It is very special.

Very beautiful building. The only downside is that all the church wealth is inside and people are in the cold and outside begging for food. Maybe cater more to the people around the church than the visitors.

We had a brilliant day visiting here! The zoo is clean and tidy. The animals are well looked after and cared for. The staff are super friendly. There's lots of things to see and do. Lots of amazing playparks scattered around the park. We were able to feed the elephants - free of charge! And also the little parakeets. They have a few walk in enclosures, goats and lemurs. The whole day was fantastic! I would highly recommend visiting here! Children of all ages and adults would have a great time!

Münster Zoo is always worth a visit. But saying that it would be even better when the building projects are finished.

Most of the animals seemed really healthy and most enclosures were well kept. Some of the animals were a bit tricky to spot and we found ourselves searching to no avail. A better viewing location could be of use there. I found the prices to be a bit high, but havent visited a zoo since Covid, so things might be different now. Other than than the park was clean and suited for people with buggy s or wheelchairs. Had a nice day!

Beautiful zoo, nog variety in animals, just a bit unlucky that we got there late and they were closing early because of a special event. And it is great you can bring your dog into the Zoo!

It is good place for a day tour. Zoo is clean and nice. If you have a big group it will be fun. Don't miss the aquarium.

Considering the 4 star ratings I viewed here, I visited Allwetter zoo on August. The tickets charged was high because it didn't reach the expectations. They should keep location marker or provide with a map so that people don't miss any aspects and it guides more efficiently in navigating. Area is very big. Poorly maintained. Animals looked starved, unenergetic, gloomy. Good thing, even if animals looked unhealthy, we were able to see some lions, tiger, elefant, giraffes,zebras, pandas, which seem to be rare visuals here. Some reptiles weren't available to view or removed but placards were still posted. Overall, it's okay to visit but dont keep high expectations.

This winter in the early but dark hours of the evening you can visit the zoo - not to watch animals - of those you could only really see pelicans, but to watch great light installations, dipped into an eerie fog. It was a great experience and took about an hour - with all the photographing and stuff 😉 Obviously you can get food and drinks, cold and hot, at about 7 way points. If you are in the area, I can recommend the visit, but I wouldn't drive that far, unless you REALLY like light 😅

I have mixed feelings with this Zoo. On the one hand the animals look physically healthy (maybe not mentally). However my biggest concern is the VERY SMALL space assigned even for Big animals like Rhinos, Elephants, Felines. You can see sadness in their eyes!

I really liked this zoo. The parking lot is very big so there's enough space to park your car. Another benefit are the parking- and entrance fee which aren't very high. The zoo is quiet big and offers hours of fun! They are building something near the entrance which will be done in 2022. I'm very curious and will definitely visit the zoo once this is done. There are various species of animals in this zoo and especially quiet a few different species of big cats. I love big cats which makes this zoo amazing! Most animals do have a good amount of space, but not all of them. For example the lions. Their habitat isn't the size it should be. And I think that some animals habitats are a bit doll. This zoo is also great if you have children. There are a lot of playgrounds where your children can play. There are also enough toilets throughout the whole zoo and a lot of different points where you can buy some food. I had a great time in this zoo and that is why I would recommend it to others.

Wonderful museum! The animals are well taken care of and live in clean environment. It's opened 365 days a year. I must say really enjoyed the penguins 🐧 🐧..they are so adorable! Would definitely come back.

Great experience, totally worth the price. Loved how curious are orangutans. Take at least three full hours to go through it at fast pace. It has a lot more animals than what I expected. One can see they care about the animals for they put a lot of toys and activities for them. Crazy how some gorillas look like actual people. Would highly recommend!

This zoo is a lot bigger than I expected from the way that some of the locals had talked about it prior to my showing up. Based on the number of big animals here, this exhibit is larger than my local Brooklyn zoo. I got to witness the majestic elephants eating in a moment that words cannot do justice. I was highly impressed with the spaces for the animals. I didn't even check out the souvenir spot as I was too tired after spending hours here and they have some major construction going on so I'm guessing that the spaces shall be expanding. The good work being done here deserves support!

Drove in for 9am to beat some of the crowds. Had to wait 5mins for a parking space right next to the market but more parking is available a short distance away. Well worth a visit, so much fresh food - fish, meats, bread and pastries as well as plants (both cut flowers and growing ones!) It got a lot busier after 10am so arrive early if you can. The rest of Munster was also great to have a stroll around

It's quite expensive. Produce is fresh depending on which vendor you go to. They start early in the morning and wrap up mostly by 12:00/13:00 hrs. They mostly only accept cash.

Almost each and every products were very expensive for obvious reasons as those were being sold by the growners directly but still the atmosphere was enchanting and the Kibbling (fish-fritters) was very delicious .

The biweekly farmers market of Münster is the perfect opportunity to get fresh and often local produce to prices, if you chose the right place to buy, that put supermarkets to shame. There is a wide variety of everything from the simple to the exotic. Add to that the many foodstalls that carter to almost any taste and you have a perfect example of what a market should be.

Best fresh produce, meats, hams, sausages, cheeses, breads, seafood, Asian spices, flowers, herbs, delicacies, fruits, juices and a galore of others anywhere!! 👏👏👏👌 Of course you can buy a little cheaper at supermarket or discounters, however the variety, freshness and friendliness of merchants makes it worth to become a regular visitor. It's just great...you can find almost anything in the WochenMarkt...fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, fish...a lot of local cheese and sausages...food trucks all over the Dom platz...me and my wife are new un Münster and now this is definitely un our weekly visita list...

When you're in the city, you easily spot the historical city hall, where you can visit the peace hall, for just 2€. Inside you can listen to the history of this room, and have a close look at the wooden panels.

On the east side of Prinzipalmarkt, the Historical City Hall is another symbol for Münster and one of the finest examples of secular Gothic architecture anywhere. The facade is jaw-dropping, and requires a few minutes for its tiers of traceried windows, ogival arches, gables and pinnacles. This all dates from the end of the 14th century, and reflects the confidence that Münster’s citizens had in their episcopal landowners. The Peace Hall inside is as old as the 1100s and is clad with wooden panels carved in 1577. The hall was where one of European history’s most important treaties was signed. In 1648 the Peace of Westphalia brought an end to the Thirty Years’ War and gave birth to the Netherlands as a nation after it broke from the Holy Roman Empire.

When quality meets quantity! Actually 6 stars. This is one of the richest Botanical garden in Germany - and it's for free! Various venues Ponds Palm house & a greenhouse with tropical pond Exclusive collections The place is safe and good for the whole family, spending a day together - or just simply hanging around there after the work.. The garden itself is a quiet and calm park and the entry is free. There are clean and accessible Toilets in the garden. Parking nearby is okay.

I generally like botanical gardens, and this one is definitely in the top 5. It is such a peaceful place that's organized very well and provides detailed information on trees, flowers, and plants. When you go there don't forget to enter the greenhouses. I wish they put some information in English as well for foreign visitors.

Wonderful designed and well maintenance botanical garden. Large and nice groupings of plants. Unfortunately the glasshouses were closed. Exposition nice art to look at. Friendly people. Toilet facilities in the garden: clean and accessible. Parking nearby. Free access.

Free walk through the Botanical Gardens, I like flowers and gardening so it was quite cool. You could enter some greenhouses to look for different types of plants. If you don’t like plants I would not recommend going to a Botanical Garden

Free to enter and see plant diversity. It’s just wonderful exploring the outside gardens and also greenhouses which are so warm and smell so good, you don’t want to leave. Peaceful place in which one can meditate.

Even in March, we experienced a variety of plants and flowers. Special mention would be the tropical green-house where we experienced India for 10 minutes in the middle of 2° C outside. Highly recommended if you visit Münster. You can visit it for free.

After walking round the city for a few hours, it was a real treat to go into the Botanical Gardens, situated in the grounds of the Schloss, close to the city centre. Entry is free, and it’s a very pleasant way to escape for an hour or two. Loads of beautiful plants and flowers, all well labelled (very helpful) outside and in greenhouses. Came away with plenty of photos and inspiration for our own garden.

Delightful to the eyes, a very pleasant place to visit in town. There are many greenhouses full of stunning life and aromas. It seems a lot of people do hard work to keep that place the way it is, so be respectful when you visit. I'll definitely come back!

This is literally my favorite place to stroll around in Münster, and the one place I always make sure to bring visitors. Even in the winter you can go to the greenhouses and warm up, enjoying the wonderful plants year-round. It's completely free and even open on holidays!

The beautiful botanical garden is a perfect place to spend an afternoon, whether you're visiting alone or with your family. The large variety of plants is impressive, but the garden itself is a quiet and calm park that does not ask for a special occasion to visit. Free admission and located walking distance away from the busy center.
