There's maps with different colored trails and even estimated times for each one but we decided to just go with the flow and fall in love with nature. Even though we went during the last week of November I'd say it was definitely worth it with an amazing autumnal vibe. Leaves were still falling and we did get some rain so make sure to also bring an umbrella!

One of the beautiful places in Potsdam, nice architecture, especially the sculptures are amazing & very detailed. Naturally beautiful and peaceful. We visited in Autumn, so the trees were colorful and the weather was too good for walking. Both the back side & front side are nicely designed and managed. The stairs with a beautiful garden and a small lake creates an eye soothing view, the palace is a nice photography zone. The whole place within 2/3 kilometres is beautifully designed with some 3 palaces & garden. A must visit place.

This was a great dat trip from Berlin. It was only a 40 min drive. I recommend booking tickets in advance because they have specific time slots. Once in you get an audio guide that is perfect to understand the story of the place. Each room is unique and builds the story of Frederick’s activities in his pleasure palace. The grounds are very pretty as well. The park is huge and it takes a long time to do all of it, but it is worth at least doing the areas right around the palace.

Sanssouci is a wonderful historic palace. If you leave the well-trodden paths ... you will discover plants and hidden places that hardly any visitor sees. That makes a visit always eventful. It is best to book a combination ticket to see other castles as well. Luckily they tried lock I liked that there were audio guides that you had to hold to your ear. This meant that you could concentrate completely on the premises and not be on the side with your cell phone.

Beautiful castle. Many of the additional buildings were closed unfortunately. (They are always closed during winter time, so I‘d recommend summer for a visit there.) But I still had a great day and I loved that it wasn‘t too crowded

The party Palace. Fredrick 2nd spent most of his time here and is buried behind the garden with his dogs. This is a wonderful palace and well worth the visit . You can get the bus there from potsdam.

If you're planning to visit this place, I recommend going there in spring or summer, 'cause this is the time when all the plants are blooming. In winter it isn't that stunning.

The Palace is one of many in Sanssouci Park. The Palace has just about ten rooms that are open to tour, but the audio tour is very detailed, and it will entertain you for about an hour. The approach to the palace is beautiful, with a majestic fountain and terraces with grape vines. It is a pretty place to explore and take photos. Beyond touring the palace, the park itself offers hours of exploration. There is a botanical garden, many nooks and crannies of the labyrinthine park, and several other palaces, some as big as two hundred rooms. I recommend buying tickets in advance because they limit how many people can enter per opening.

A must see if you have a half day in hand on your Berlin visit. 1 hour train + bus journey all worthwhile to see this beautiful palace. Excellent public transport available. One can spend a full day exploring all the gardens and surrounding.

If your child is there with you, make sure you get the audio guide for kids. It’s great! And don’t forget to visit Friedrich the Great’s dogs’ cemetery. He loved Greyhounds!

This Tudor manor looks well out of place in Potsdam, however the monumental meetings that took place here at the end of Ww2 make it a must visit. The rooms have been kept as they were in 1945 with memorabilia down to minute details such as cigarette packets each of the leaders were smoking. It only takes an hour or so to visit but is very interesting for history buffs and laypeople alike. There is extensive parkland around the location and plenty of walking trails around the nearby lake.

Friendly & welcoming staff. Nice place with much historical significance. You'll know clearly about what happened over there by seeing interesting objects and rooms in person. A wonderful visiting experience. Highly recommended!

So, I believe Cecilienhof will be an interesting place for any lovers of history as well as for others who just looking for a beautiful place for a quiet walk. This is must visit place being in Potsdam.

This is - it absolutely is! - the model for the houses of chocolate I used to see in my childhood infant books. This Tudor style little palace is gorgeous, it comes straight out from wonderland. I couldn't help noticing the Red Star in the back garden... it was still there many decades after it was probably imposed on this site by some over-zealous garden-chief.

Famous for hosting the Potsdam Conference of 1945. At present there is an excellent exhibition on the Conference. The house and gardens are beautiful and free of charge. Situated in a larger park with other places to visit and is within walking distance of the city centre.

At first glance, it seemed like a normal palace but it holds a dual history. One of the kings before the fall of the empires and other the after WW2 history. Many historical figures lived here who decided the aftermath of the world after WW2. It's the iconic conference venue of the conference. Around this you have an excellent beautiful garden. Wonderful lake. Nearby other palaces. Overall it's a must visit place. You can be part of WW2 history.

Cecilienhof has beautiful gardens and amazing architecture. We couldn’t go inside because they had just closed, but the gardens are incredibly beautiful and it’s free entrance (to enter the Palace you have to pay a €12 pp ticket). 🪻🌸🌻

Very beautiful both inside and outside. Everything is well maintained, very magical atmosphere. Inside is an interesting museum. There is an audio guide in many languages, the staff is friendly. The tour was very interesting and informative, the locations are interesting.

Experiencing the history! It is very well preserved And very well presented. We can even visualize the scene of the big three meeting. Of course at the same time feeling bad for Winston Churchill. Who is the best and greatest among all the big three To presenting at that time.

A visit to Cecilienhof is important as a reminder of the conflicts which have come before us and how "solutions" were developed in the Potsdam Agreement. There is an admission fee but should you be planning to also visit the Palace of Sanssouci in Potsdam Germany check out purchasing a combined ticket. The history at Cecilienhof is over every inch of the property. Enjoy the experience.

We didnt go inside because we were on a day trip, visiting other places too. But the gardens are really beautiful - we visited in the end of summer and it was all green and with a lot of flowers

It's a magestic place to visit but one must dare to walk all along because it is a vast palace with huge gardens and paths. It takes hours to complete whole architectural icon. It has a wonderfully managed gardens, canals, fountains with beautiful flora and fauna.

You can buy tickets (€12 each) in the Sanssouci park cafe where you can eat a snack or drink coffee if you want. The palace is amazing and they have audio guide for non-german speakers (it’s a good audio guide, nonetheless, the German guide gives a lot more details and interesting facts). 🏰

Spectacular interior but everyone who didn’t understand German had to listen to someone speak their own language like English on a hand-held device. It felt a bit excluding as the German speakers seemed to be having fun. There’s also lots of signs to read but the tour guide ushers everyone into the next room once he has spoken.

Highly recommended to go here and do the tour. It’s beautiful and very unique. You can buy a ticket from the information office and cafe at the entrance on the day. Then join the tour, it goes about an hour.

Weekend Trip For Berliners.. Take RE 1, and go to Postdam and then Take RB 23, and go to Park Sanssouci...Walk for 10 mins and you will reach this beautiful destination called Neune palais ( New Palace). The building was begun in 1763, after the end of the Seven Years War, under King Friedrich II (Frederick the Great) and was completed in 1769. It is considered to be the last great Prussian Baroque palace.❤️

Really very big and Impressive palace that is a part of Sanssouci complex. Unfortunately only small part is visitable. The table near the palace says that the tickets are accessible inside, which is not true and you need to return to ticket office (about 200-250 m far)

It was a tour where we wandered behind the group, listening to something from the device (in English) in your hand, without understanding anything. The whole trip was only narrated in German. They laughed and had fun among themselves. If there will be such a trip, why is the trip organized by dividing into groups? The reason I give a one star is because it’s hard to visit and get along. Maybe an update can be made by taking examples from different museums in Berlin.

Had a really good visit on a quiet Monday. You have to purchase the ticket from the desperate visitor centre first, and then entry is by timed slots with a guide. Our guide was really friendly and enthusiastic. It’s a little strange at first given the tours are in German, and anyone else needs to follow the tour with an audio guide, but you soon get used to it. I visited in February so sadly a few parts of the building are closed in the winter season. But I still felt it was worth a visit.

This beautiful palace has started building in 1763 and completed in 1769. For the King, the New Palace was not a principal residence, but a display for the reception of important royals and dignitaries. Of the over 200 rooms, four principal gathering rooms and a theatre were available for royal functions, balls and state occasions. There’s 400 sandstone statues all around the palace. Now this amazing palace is under UNSCO World Heritage and welcoming millions of visitors every year which is worth to visit and enjoy the beauty of it

It is worth finding out in advance when the guided tours are and which ones you can join. We arrived in good time and only had to wait 15 minutes for the next one. The building is amazing, with an audio guide to guide you in. Where this was lacking, our guide made up for it verbally. The only problem is that you can only be escorted in by a guide, and the pace of the passage is controlled.

The place is beautiful, but the direction guide is confusing, I don’t know if they want you to go underground to get the ticket office or what. And by the time after you figure the office is on totally another direction, the place is closed. (FYI, standing from the site, the ticket office is the other direction and if you zoom your camera 11x you will see the sign, and covered by tree) Lots of architectural details in the room are lightened by the exterior light sources from windows, so visit here when the weather is good and sunlight is sufficient, otherwise it doesn’t give you the fullest experience.

This castle exterior is very nice and interior is well preserved. They do not let guest anyhow step area outside of carpet inside the castle. It has timing to enter so better select your slot wisely. But the downside of this castle, you will be exploring the castle with the staff(compulsory) and it is a very time consuming.

The place looks so pretty from exterior. Unfortunately to visit the interior, we were told we needed to join German speaking guided tour. Either make English tour or let people freely walk around the place without any guide. It makes no sense that you force non German speaking people to join a German tour just to see what's inside.
