A very nice walk on the dunes before visiting the lighthouse in the middle of the sand. If you go to the top of it, you'll zee the sea and surroundings where people wrote their names with old broken bricks. Very windy, a little bit rainy, but worth it

Excellent park on the Danish coast, it's a bit of a hike to get to the tower but the scenery is beautiful all the way up. Lots of parking is available but it's popular so it fills up fast, there are lots of campers too. The entry offers a public restroom which is stocked and clean. The walk up the tower is good, but there are a few steps that are in a state of disrepair so be careful. If you're traveling the Danish peninsula this is definitely worth the detour.

Nice experience of a lighthouse completely sorrounded by sand. It takes a few minutes walking but it'e very nice and characteristics. Recommended to see.

Fascinating place, if you are in the area, it is an absolute must see. The mountain of silky sand and the views are mesmerising. Great fun for young and young at heart! There are free public toilets at the car park and a little shop with everything what you need for refreshment. For a little charge the tractor with a trailer can bring you directly there and then back if you feel like, and it is possible to pay with a card too. One tthe tractor trailer we had great fun and saw the local animals grazing.The walk on another hand, takes about 10-15 minutes and is also very relaxing. For those who are brave, there is a helicopter ride.

Definitely worth a visit! We flew to Aalborg then took a bus to Hjørring to stay in a hotel. The Google map doesn’t work well in this area. It told us to take 75 but that’s not running regularly. Take 71 from the airport to Hjørring! Most people probably drive there but we don’t have a car. Bus isn’t really practical but could still work. The closest bus station is at least 1km away and the bus 80 runs every hour.

Super cool location. A 10-15min walk from the free parking. The view from the light house is amazing. Bring sunglasses or goggles if it’s windy because the sand will get you everywhere. The coastline is eroded and creates a cool pattern. The parking lot was full when we were there but not so many people at the light house.

although I have flown many times, here I had such a fear when climbing the stairs, they don't seem very safe, but the view from the top is beautiful. below there are some writings made of brick, someone with imagination exceeded the limit with🤍 besides the other beaches, there is a different kind of sand here, finer and cleaner, and a lot of it in the parking lot some beautiful cows were quietly eating grass, and on the way to the tower, sheep filled the landscape and the plain

This was such a fun place to visit. The views were so beautiful and the walk to and from the lighthouse were nice. The sheep were super cute but didn't want to come say hi. I'm definitely grateful that they decided to move the lighthouse a few years ago to preserve it from future erosion.

Rubjerg Knude Light House is one a the absolutely most see attractions in Norrh Jutland. With free admission and parking this place offers magnificent views of the coat, the ocean and the now moved old light house. The elevation makes it possible.to view both Løkken to the South and Lønstrup to the North. If it's windy bring glasses and scarfs as the sand, even moderate wind speeds, can be rough.

Perfect Dune place with all the sand! The weather was not perfect but still very worth the visiting. At least it’s not so windy so it’s great to see everything. All the kids like it too walking on the sand and playing there. Could take at least one hour but easy to spend two. Highly recommend it!

A wonderful location with an interesting story. Bear in mind you have to walk like a mile from the parking lot to the lighthouse, but very much worth the walk.

Very happy with our experience in this hotel. Had breakfast and dinner, both deserved 5 out of 5 stars. The staff is super friendly, everything was clean and of course the hotel is located close to the beach. Great price performance ratio.

It was a nice experience. I would have liked the events outside the castle to last throughout the summer. The rest of the area is very relaxing.

Our tour was given by a local history major from a local University. He gave a spectacular tour, including both historic facts and lore. The castle has many significant artifacts, art collection, dishes once used by Marie Antoinette, and many fun facts from it's long history.

I love this castle it stands alone next to a moat but oozes history inside and out . We visited it at Christmas and the Danes do love their Christmas and the sense of HYGGE very uplifting by all the Christmas decorations. Yes I do believe I woukd be happy to be an English speaking guide hete as so near now to where I live . This castle epitomises everything you associate with history past and present and I expect filled with fairytales and hidden.treasures

We always visit this place every year. It really feels like going back to that exact time. Well organized and the actors are very good in portraying their roles. One word, hyggeligt. 😉

Staff interactions, left much to be desired. I'm familiar with various acquaintances and family members who have organized markets and art exhibitions at the monastery. Additionally, I visited the place during my childhood, but I haven't been back since then. Recently, I accompanied some friends from abroad to Børglum Monastery. Honestly, I didn't have the most pleasant time. The customer service from both the staff and owners seemed lacking in my view. The owner only spoke in Danish to my friends, who were unable to understand the language. Throughout our time at the monastery, we felt uncomfortable due to being constantly filmed and monitored by cameras, and the staff seemed to closely observe us and even took pictures of our group. To my surprise, the owners even contacted the police, apparently due to concerns about having tourists around. When we were leaving, the departure experience was also far from enjoyable, both in terms of their tone and attitude. Considering my personal experience, I find it difficult to recommend a visit to Børglum Monastery. My suggestion would be to explore alternative options.

I recently visited Børglum Kloster with high hopes, but unfortunately, my experience left me deeply disappointed. While the museum's exhibits showcased intriguing artifacts and rich history, the overall user experience was marred by several issues. My biggest concern was the treatment I encountered from the staff. Regrettably, I experienced instances of discrimination and racism during my visit. As a foreigner, I had hoped to feel welcomed and embraced by the museum's atmosphere. Instead, I encountered hostility and unwarranted prejudice from certain members of the staff. Such behaviour not only diminishes the museum's reputation but also creates an uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment for visitors. I firmly believe that museums should be inclusive spaces that celebrate diversity and foster cultural understanding. It is disheartening to witness such behaviour at Børglum Kloser. I strongly urge the museum management to address these issues promptly and implement measures to ensure that all visitors are treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their background. While the exhibits themselves were noteworthy and informative, the negative encounters I had overshadowed the overall experience. It is crucial for any institution to cultivate an atmosphere of inclusivity and respect, and I sincerely hope that Børglum Kloster takes immediate action to rectify these concerns. Until the museum demonstrates a commitment to addressing the reported issues and creating a welcoming environment for all visitors, I regrettably advise potential visitors to reconsider their plans to visit Børglum Kloster.

Because we were interested in everything there was to see, we took quite some time to see everything, but for the owner of the place that took way to long and called the dansk Police on us. Without us knowing about that situation we we're pretty surprised to be finding out that the police was waiting for us outside 5 man strong. So no I can't recommend this place to visit in any way, the owner and the family is everything but welcoming, so that's a clear NO

Because my maternal grandparents and their family are from that area of Denmark I had the privilege of spending time there 46 years ago. So, I'm familiar with the abbey. We would stand on the hill by the windmill and watch ships in the distance. On the longest day of the year we went there to watch the bonfires that dotted the area in celebration of the Burning of the Witch. Six years ago I returned to a greatly updated Børglum Kloster. I really enjoyed my return. It gets my highest recommendation. Lots of history. I finally got to see the inside of the Abbey. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Probably more so than I would have 46 years ago. The hill is still there. The view is as I remembered. It was very nostalgic standing where as I did decades ago. It was somewhat bittersweet. But I had a great time anyway.

If you're into christian history in Scandinavia this one's for you.

Beautiful place. Most texts are written in Englisch and German as well. The garden is also definitely worth a look since many relatively uncommon herbs grow there.

It was super fun! Lovely animals and also some fun activities. It’s great for family or animal lovers. The couple who owns Family Fun Park have really done a great job!

A lot of small animals/pets known from country side. Lots of different activities possible like volleyball, touching and feeding animals (spaghetti/carrots), riding small horses - fun for small kids! Hotdogs and usual ice cream was great. Other microwave food not so tasty - but you don’t need to order it :).

I spent a great day at Family Farm fun Park. There was plenty of activities to do like the pedalos and the football golf.The animals are really kind and you can give them food. I would definitely recommand to spend a day there.

This is a fantastic place with lovely animals and beautiful nature of Danish coutryside. There are a lot of fun activities like ponyriding,tractor tour, family cycles,cycle beat and so on. I highly recommend to spend great time in North Jutland with your family here.

Our family spent a week at the Family Farm Fun Park's holiday apartment and we had a great time. The apartment is a little older but it's nice, spacious and got everything you need. We have small kids and they loved that they could just run next door to feed the animals and play with the various activities. The hosts Olga and Ole were very attentive and helpful throughout our stay. The farm is conveniently located as it's close to groceries, restaurants, beach and other attractions in the surrounding area.

We had such a wonderful day, it far exceeded our expectations. The farm is so peaceful and natural, but with so many things to do. We got to see a baby goat being born which was very interesting and we loved feeding the rabbits and goats. It is great to have the animals around you and not behind a barrier. The lake with the pedal boats was a lovely spot for a nice picnic with a beach and sun loungers, such a surprise! There is a good selection of food and drinks in the cafe and things to buy for the children or souvenirs. We came without young children but still had a really enjoyable time. The swing onto the straw bales is fun. We would definitely come back.

Amazing place to take the family! Loads of sweet animals and great amount of activities! Kids even get a free "feed package" to give to the animals You can buy food and drinks in their little café, and there's also loads of picnic tables so you can bring your own food.

Super cozy spot, which is severely family friendly and beautiful at once. Hals is an amazing city with a lot to offer. Especially when the museum is free of charge and the ice creams are so tasty. Hals is highly recommendable for anyone looking for a one day trip or just a quick ice cream and a short walk.

Small harbor with some shops and restaurants. A small ferry (for pedestrians, bicycle and cars) to cross the Fjord and several smaller and larger vessels, including some ice breakers.

Even in the middle of winter this pretty little town still has a certain magic about it. It has been my "happy place" during my first four months in Denmark and I take it with me in my heart.

Safe harbour, with ticket box to pay harbour fee. Great facilities for sailors in the guest harbour with showers, toilets, kitchen, washing machine etc. The harbour area has some nice reataurants and eating places, ice cream kiosks and pancake house within 100 metres. 300 metres away you find a large grocery store with opening hours 7.30am to 10pm (7.30-22) 7 days a week in the high season. Nice beaches and golf course not too far away.

A really special place with many food places and great views.

"Neck"/Hals Harbour has many beautiful views to complement the substantial collection of sailboats and Motorboats-- as well as a Ferry service which crosses the fjord. There are also many services including a great supermarket (Meny), several restaurants and ice cream shoppes {seeming a "summer addiction" for Danes as well as travellers}, free WIFI and places to sit.. Much of the town's other features are readily accessible such as the nearby park, walks along the Fjord, the Library [where the service is amazingly professional! Its a great place to visit. I hope that this Review has been helpful.
