The gare of Limoges is worth a visit even when you aren't in need of transportation by train. It is a great piece of architecture. Especially the inside of the dome is quite remarkable. Unfortunately train stations aren't build like this anymore.

Very entertaining day out at a lovely park with well cared for animals in large, open paddocks (so not at all like city zoos!). We particularly enjoyed the feeding of the ring-tailed lemurs and the giraffes. The staff were friendly and attentive and there is a nice small cafe. One member of our party has reduced mobility and we were pleased to be able to pre-book a personal mobility scooter for her to manage the paths around the park. The park is not at all "commercial" so is highly recommended.

Big zoo with heaps of different animals and some nice picnic spots. It's slightly run-down, and some of the enclosures seemed a little small, but our kids loved being able to pat the goats and see so many animals up close.

We had a great day out. We were there for a good 6 hours. Loved seeing all the animals and the bats were really cool too. There was one bird who kept saying 'bonjour, ça va ? hahahaha', was too cute. The chateau is really beautiful too.

Great zoo/wildlife park, with over 600 animals and birds. A rhino, lions, tigers, leopards, zebra, camels, wolves, otters, deer antelope, monkeys plus many types of birds. The zoo is a long walk and hilly in places with stony tracks, so you need to be reasonably fit, they rent mobility scooters and heavy duty strollers for toddlers, if needed. There are big cats who have large areas to roam and hide, so don't be disappointed if you can't see them! The map isn't the most accurate so you have to explore a little, to make sure you don't miss any areas. There are 2 X cafes, one is basic which sold out of sandwiches early, the other had a reasonable range of made/cooked to order food. There are lots of picnic places and various outdoor play areas for younger children.

Excellent zoo, one of the best I've ever been to. Lots of space for all the animals, big and small. Not over touristy and a lovely place to go for a long walk. Great little shop and cafe as well. We got entrence as part of our Limoges city pass which was a bonus, very good deal.

This is a nice zoo that offers good views on several animals; even some big ones like lions. Amongst the pathway you will find plenty of playgrounds and places for picnic. The red panda, who is not caged, is one of the biggest surprises you can find here. Two downsides of this zoo: some of the cages are rather small for the big animals they house and it is quite hard to buy food inside the zoo so bring your picnic basket with you.

Huge Parc, a big variety of animals, oustanding greenery and space for a nature walk. Make sure the weather forecast is on your favor.

Most of the animals are in large open spaces, for some you will need a pair of binoculars. But what a great feeling when you come face to face with a polar bear. Lots of shaded areas and play areas for the children.

I have been vegetarian for nearly 40 years, but I love social history and I really enjoyed seeing inside the house , seeing all the old tools and equipment and hearing about one of the main agricultural industries of our region, a brilliant free tour and a lovely part of Limoges city to explore, excellent!

Highlight of our day... very interesting how the butchers started their little shops in their homes. Fantastic tour lady with brilliant English.

Really interesting. Narrative in french . Might be useful to have some translations eg on walls but maybe not handouts as covid. Couldnt work out what they did with all the meat.

Basically just two pretty roads. Personally I prefer wandering around the old town near the Cathedral. But it's very pretty here nevertheless.

Very large and impressive cathedral. Absolutely spectacular on the outside. Shame that the inside had a lot of building work going on so I couldn't see all the beautiful architecture.

One of the most beautiful cathedrals internally in France with lovely chapels, murals and ornate columns. For me the highlights are the magnificent stained glass windows. Best to go early in the morning when it is quieter and you have more time to carefully look at each chapel. An absolute must to visit if you're in Limoges. Outside is a lovely botanic garden which is very calm and serene.

Very disappointing, it used to be a lovely Cathedral but over the years pews and altar were changed with modern wicker chairs and altar, so all place looked so different. Not worth the visit unfortunately 😔😔😔

This is a pleasant place for a walk, or sit down and watch time go by. It is nicely laid out with some interesting plants I had not seen before. One side is the old town wall and this gives a good view out across Limogues.

The staff are so helpful and knowledgeable. Just ask them about the museum and their favorite pieces you will end up with a private tour filled with passion. Had a wonderful experience at this must see museum on ceramics in Limoges. Tickets are EUR7 per person.

This was the first place we visited when we went to Limoge for a three day family trip. It was a really interesting and beautiful visit. The kids even had a great time and learned a lot. The guide book they provided us for the kids allowed them to follow the visit and learn a lot in the museum. We spent about a couple of hours there and really enjoyed the experience. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Limoge!

Very kind staff. I didn't speak French and they were helpful and accommodating. The museum is beautiful inside. Very modern. They had cool water inside for drinking. Elevators at each end of the building made all the floors accessible. There was sooo much pottery and porcelain. A magnificent collection. I'm glad I made the trip.

The museum is well presented, light and airy, and clearly has a lot of good porcelain/similar to display. But there is very little information after the ceramic techniques section. Google translate is useful for this area if you do not speak/read French. Staff seem unapproachable after the initial ticket buying process, which certainly detracted from our experience. This felt as though we were an unwelcome presence in the museum as we did not stand in pure reverence observing the porcelain from afar. Very different experience from other museums visited.

Nice museum. Although all the text is in French. Which makes it hard to understand everything. You can use your smartphone app for this, but the experience wasn't that inclusive. Also, they take a afternoon brake. When you go in the morning, you have a short time to look it all, so you have to come back when they open again.

The museum is among the top highlights in Limoges, a city renowned for porcelain. I have seen larger collections of porcelain and ceramics in the world, but none have had the affection for the industry and art as this museum. Plan to spend the whole day if you want to experience all the museum has to offer in works and educational material. Fascinating and a feast for the eyes.

One of the most beautiful museums of decorative art! It encompasses the history of porcelain in the world and a full floor of the Limoges art. You need a full day to see and enjoy thoroughly their collection. Unfortunately, the museum closes 12:30 to 2 p.m. which creates a difficulty especially for tourists in the city. We hope the city of Limoges will find a way to add more personnel this musée national of France deserves.

If you enjoy porcelain of any sort, this a marvellous place. There's pottery from prehistoric times to the modern era. I was very taken by the Picasso plates. There are pieces that are a thousand years old that look quite modern. The accessibility is good... lifts etc. It's a modern, well designed museum. A must see if you're in Limoges.
