Very interesting visit, excellent volunteers full of informative snippets. Loved the World War 2 story only uncovered by a chance overheard remark in 2004. Particularly liked the availability of deck chairs on the lawn for visitors to rest a while. Lovely to see so many volunteers tending the beautiful gardens.

Lovely visit, great courtyard for refreshments and gift shop, nice walks around the estate. House is wonderful, character features and WW 2 history. Walled garden is nice to walk around. Easy for parking and plenty of spaces. Lovely views and the walk down to the church and back.

What a stunning house with beautiful interior and exterior detailing. Amazing artwork and furniture pieces along with very interesting history. The gardens were full of apple trees, plumbs and quince, everything very well looked after with knowledgeable volunteers on hand to have a conversation. One drawback was that we visited after some heavy rain and the walking routes were steep and slippery from mud making them inaccessible and dangerous. Cafe was lovely with delicious coffee and cakes - the berry flapjack was especially yummy! The church is also worth a visit where Disraeli and his wife are buried.

What a lovely place for a family day trip. Beautiful grounds. A fantastic historic home to look around. You will learn many things about Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli and the house's secret use during the second world war. The staff are so helpful and knowledgeable. A lovely time all round. I autumn bring a bag for all the windfall apples from the trees.

Another amazing National Trust Venue. I was blown away by the association with World War 2. It really put into perspective how scary war times must have been for all involved. It's a beautiful maintained house. And the grounds are gorgeous. A fun day for old and young.

Huge grounds with long or short walks. Impressive house and architecture beautifully decorated and furnished. Only disappointment was lack of decorative formal garden, although neat and tidy lacked the Wow factor. Good cafe on ground floor.

The museum is informative. The garden is pretty. The cafe is good too and declares calories info. I particularly like this. Although by law, all cafe and restaurant in England must do so, I know a lot of them haven't.

Stunning place with nature all around. Ample parking space which is a bit further up from the manor but the walk is a very relaxing through the woods. Very helpful and friendly staff. Was able to get a free wheel chair from the shop for my mum. Cafe has lovely vegetarian option, and every dish is so delicious. The manor itself is so well maintained and gorgeous. Lovely place for a day out.

NT which includes parking. Lovely property with gardens & rolling fields. Lovely red kites flying close enough to see their feathers. House is lovely & story of Disraeli really interesting. They have talks, good to hear about the history of the man himself & his life. You can visit the grave of Disraeli, his wife & another lady, that's a story in itself!.

Nice experience but the house was not quite as impressive as I was expecting. Lovely grounds, great cafe and shop. Volunteers very friendly and knowledgeable. Worth a visit but personally I wouldn’t rush back for a while.

It's a beautiful property, with scenic walks. But the approach road is very narrow, so you should have good driving skills. Lastly, very interesting associations with World War 2, were surprising.

Very nice house and gardens. Interesting exhibitions about Disraeli, and about the use of the house by the RAF for mapmaking during WWII. We visited on Good Friday and it was very busy, I think because there was a children's Easter event. The car park was really overfull with people parking on verges. Despite that, we had no problem looking around the house and we were able to get lunch in the café.

Lovely place to visit. House well worth a visit and staff very informative regarding the History . Lovely little coffee and gift shop. However, just be aware that several areas can be quite step in places , especially if you visit the church at the bottom of the hill.

Homely rather than stately is how I would describe Hughenden, though the main rooms are Victorian dark; dark walls, dark furniture, dark fabrics, so even on a hot, sunny day it seemed cold. Some rooms house an exhibition of it's war-time use as a base for mapping enemy targets. The gardens are pretty rather than impressive but with the bonus of red kites circling overhead looking for picnic left overs. If it wasn't for the Disraeli link this would be a fairly ordinary manor house badly gothicised in the Victorian fashion. Watch out for the steep, uneven drive up to the car park that will test your springs and exhaust mountings.

Not only is this a great stately home, but it also gives a good history lesson about the famous British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli. There are many artifacts related to the great man's life. Particularly interesting is the video about his relationship with Queen Victoria. Around the mansion is a lovely garden, and nearby is the church where Disraeli is buried.

We had a lovely visit to Hughenden today whilst staying in the area. It was easy to find with plenty of parking. It was a short walk through a wooded area and past a pretty orchard to where there is a cobbled courtyard with modern toilets and two cafe outlets. There is indoor seating but also plenty of outdoor tables with parasols which was perfect given the warm weather. We had a curried cauliflower pasty which was delicious and the coffee and tea was good too! The house was just a short walk away and houses some beautiful sculpture and paintings as well as a fascinating exhibition on the role of the property as a secret map-drawing base during the Second World War. The grounds are beautiful and with lots of mature trees so some nice walking with good views :)

Another lovely NT property with varied history and beautiful grounds. Enjoyed my summer time visit and could have spent hours in the walled garden soaking up the sun and admiring the orchard. Gardeners and groundskeepers do a fantastic job.

Second time here, a lovely house steeped in history! It wasn't until 2004 that it was revealed that part of the house was used during the second world war to defeat the Nazis. Go see, go and learn the history and also enjoy the grounds for superb walks.

Really beautiful National Trust property. The grounds are well kept and the Twelve Days of Christmas displays were really lovely. The house is well worth a visit too - very interesting exhibitions on its war time use and Disraeli.

Great value as we had lottery tickets and got in cheap, can be pricey if you pay going rate. Car park is up a hill so if mobility an issue they have a golf buggy. Has inspired me to get a book on Disraeli to learn more, and after that may get book on Gladstone

Lovely house with an even lovelier gardens. Not much to see but was still a nice place to visit. Cafe was nice but the staff working there were rude and didn’t acknowledge us for about five minutes

A very beautiful and well preserved Victorian mansion with hidden past, that served as the country house of the Prime Minister, Benjamin Disraeli, 1st Earl of Beaconsfield from 1848 to 1881. It is now owned by the National Trust. Very helpful guides who can answer any questions about the history of the house and their late residents. The house is located in a very peaceful Chiltern valley with picturesque views of woods and hills. Lots of benches around where you can sit and enjoy the chirping birds. The 1,500 acres of parkland surrounding the red brick Victorian mansion of Hughenden Manor is great for a short walk in lovely surroundings. There are 4 different types of walk you can choose there: the hilly, flat, forest and the park. 10 different hiking loops around Hughenden! So even a spoilt one will enjoy it! A cafe with food and drink is available. There are also the gift shop and a toilet facilities too. The car park is a decent size. Don't forget to visit the Grade II listed St Michael and All Angels' Anglican Church in which churchyard Benjamin Disraeli was buried. The church is located not far from the Benjamin Disraeli mension. The car park is right outside of the church.

Awesome place, great value, friendly staff and lovely area. The views at the mausoleum are fantastic and well worth the hill climb (not too steep). Lovely village as well with friendly pubs. Would highly recommend for a cheap morning/afternoon out.

Interesting cave, if you come early before 11am you can find a free parking space opposite the cave if not there are more spaces down. We enjoyed our adventure because we saw a real bat and the kids had fun. Is £8.50 for adults and £7.00 kids or £24.00 for family.

Used to go here as a kid in the 90s so going back with my child as an adult was really cool, even with wet weather I still recommend this gem. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the caves are great to walk around and have lots of information throughout, then a walk up to the church and mausoleum. Defo a good way to spend a good few hours (if visiting just the cave then prob an hr will do) it is up hill walking, and the car park at the bottom is card only :)

Really interesting place with lots of history. Well worth a visit, but only if you don’t mind dark tunnels. Great atmospheric lighting, plenty of informative boards along with models with audio explanations. If you are a National Trust member you receive a concession on the price. Great little coffee shop also offering food too!

Nice attraction with great history. The caves have been cleared and easy to walk through. Those that have trouble walking may find it difficult but it is worth the stop. If it is a warm day then a stop here would be refreshing. There a few small eateries near by if you get hungry and the caves serve small bites as well in their gift shop.

Not the most interesting caves I have been to. The underground river was fantastic to see with the stalactites, but really difficult to photograph with the railings there. Took about an hour to look around. There are a few pieces of information to read and a few mannequins. I'd like to have seen more interesting information displays. £8.50 for an adult to ensure, not expensive. There was a great kiss party going on. Witches and wizards theme. Looked great fun.

What a lovely day out especially in the heat, it was great going down in the caves where it was nice and cool. Very informative but not overkill with too much to read. You can very much go down there and just experience the feeling. Was nice to be able to walk around for as long as you like and then to walk up the quite steep hill to the dashwood mausoleum and the church. to see what the information in the caves was about straight after was great. We took a picnic and football for the kids, so was able to spend the afternoon in the area. Beautiful day, beautiful area!

We visited The Hellfire Caves during the Halloween season. It was very nice and we enjoyed it. However we were a bit disappointed by the Halloween decorations. They decorated few rooms which was nice but honestly I was expecting more. The tickets were more expensive so I expected something more immersive. The lights were too bright and there wasn’t any music in the background. The caves in general are quite small but if you take your time you can spend 30/40 minutes. It’s nice but don’t expect too much!

Amazing place, supposed to be very haunted. My team would love to investigate here but it's very expensive. If you are planning to walk up to the church and mausoleum beware of the steep hill. Think you are much better walking up the road than the grass especially if the grounds a bit wet 😁

Visit today (29/03/24) Was ok but not worth the £8.50 entrance each for adults and the £4.50 parking . Top tip , go in Café in carpark first and they give you 2 hours free parking. Better than council £4.50 for 2 hours. Unfortunately I paid before I realised you could do this. You're in and out of caves in 15 mins / 20 mins at most. The best bit is at the bottom where the stalagmites /stalagmites are but this is only a tiny fraction of the caves themselves. The rest is well, steep wet white cave walls / tunnels lol .

Amazing place with kids especially for Halloween. Nice day out with the surrounding area including a little hiking to the mausoleum but the view is beautiful. Lot of information in the cave and the cafe is brilliant as well with friendly and helpful staff.

My husband & I have been here a few times now, but this time we brought our young children (5y + 18m) who really enjoyed it. It helped that the caves were near on empty when we arrived (just after 11am) so they could run freely. It doesn't take very long to see everything, but there's nothing to stop you going round multiple times. Good little morning out

It was really good, I took my son and we had a proper explore of the tunnels. The staff are young, but really nice, very friendly and helpful. Don't expect a huge "experience", it's a nice curiosity, not scary, although there are some dark passages and great acoustics. We stayed for a pot of tea (real Yorkshire Tea) and a slice of Victoria Sandwich which could have been home baked that day, I didn't ask, maybe I should have, because it was fresh, soft and delicious. They do scones too, including cheese ones, I didn't try them, but if they're as good as the cake, their cook should enter Bake-Off! We stayed about 1½ hours, it's not huge, but it is different, fun, and the people who work there do obviously love the place. Oh, and the toilets in the tiny cafe cut into the side of the hill were spotless, fresh, with a good hot water supply, and plenty of loo roll should you need it. My son and me really liked it. Can you tell?

Defiantly worth a trip - a wonderful place with some amazing history. Going down the caves was amazing, all the carvings on the walls are great to see.

Nice little cave system, would not recommend for little kids who are a bit more sensitive though as it was a little spooky for them. Good family experience overall, as the older ones loved it! Only gave it 4 stars as I expected it to be a bit…more- took us less than half hour to do the entire thing and get back outside! If you don’t mind walking uphill for a bit, I would definitively recommend going uphill. Amazing views and perfect for a picnic (or for the little ones rolling downhill lol)!

Lovely place to spend time with children and family. The farm has large territory. Lots to see and to do. Feeding the animals is great experience. Area is very clean and well kept. A lot of things in the program : feed the chickens, pet the rabbits, Collecting the potatoes , tractor ride and more. They have picnic areas. Sand pit with toys. Party rooms. Indoor playground. We really enjoyed the day. Staff is very polite, helpful and friendly ❤️ We enjoyed the food at the cantina. Coffee was 👍 Every time we visit the farm we spending all day . Really recommend for a day out with family!

What a lovely place for the family, especially if you have small children. Saying that, all of the adults loved it too. Such a cool experience going in and being able to feed and pet so many different animals, who were eager to say hello to all of us. The grounds are very well kept, and the facilities all in good working order. 100% recommend this family farm to anyone looking for a great day out

Odds Farm Park is a peaceful and close-to-nature park. It is a farm settlement with some variety of farm animals. You can feed some of the animals as you walk around. There are sit-outs and a spot where you can buy small chops. Toilets are also available for use. Tickets are booked in advance. A lovely place to bring kids for them to learn about farm animals.

A wonderful place to spend the day with kids of all ages. There's a nice diner that serves good quality hot food, as well as a cafe for hot and cold drinks. There are several play areas as well as animals to play with. Highly recommended.

A great place to take you and your kids. Has a large amount of attractions from goat feeding to a tractor tour. Iss a bit pricy but worth it. It even has an indoor play area next to the cafe. Overall pretty good

We visited for my daughter’s 2nd birthday and she had a great time. Not all animals were there which was disappointing as we weren’t informed of this on the website before booking - we found out when there that the lambs weren’t there for the feeding experience which I was hoping to do with my daughter. Parking was easy to find as we went on a weekday therefore, I can’t comment on parking on the weekend yet. The cafe was a nice place to have a break and they had good food options. Staff were friendly. The play area was great, my daughter had an amazing time. She was running around the whole time until she tired herself out (bonus for us as she slept as soon as we got to the car). Overall we had a lovely time and I gave 4 stars simply for not being informed of things missing before we visited. Would recommend and would visit again.

Country farm with full of indoor and outdoor activities. A must go place to visit with your kids. There are plenty of picnic areas where you can sit, relax and eat while your kids can play in front of your eyes. Apart from this,kids can see how to milk a cow, touch a bunny ans much more. Overall a good place.

I have been taking my children to Odds Farm Park for 21 years. The farm has and is family-friendly. Great place for youngsters to experience farm life and fun around the park with plenty of seasonal activities throughout the year.

A bit pricey but has a lot of different activities for children of all ages, with animals feeding, softplay, playground, water park, tractor riding and so on, to keep your child entertained for the whole day

Great place to take the children. Always enjoy feeding the animals inside and outside. Then adding in the adventure playground, soft play and tractor rides. Also on site cafe provides plenty of options.

The best. We absolutely love it. Love the set up, the animals, its clean, amazing cafe, staff are friendly. It is quite pricey, so we go once ever so often but it never fails to make our day. Amazing

Had my daughters 6th birthday here today with around 35 guests in total. Staff were very helpful and friendly and service was second to none - in particular one of the staff, Molly helped us with explemlary courtesy and made a good day, great. There is so much here for children of all ages to do that you can spend the entire day here letting them enjoy the fabulous soft play area, feeding the animals (although be warned, some of the pigs really stink!) and lots of other indoor and outdoor activities. Parking is free and the site is easy to access. If I had to nit-pick for constructive criticism I would say that although the entrance fee more than justifies the amenities available, the food is a bit overpriced with a half litre bottle of Coke costing £3, chips at £4, tractor shaped cookie at £5 etc but other than the price of food it represents fantastic value for money and definitely worth a visit!

Great place to take the kids on a lovely sunny day, lambs and piglets are out and about this time of year as well as an Easter 🐇🐣 hunt

We love it here. There is so much safe space for the kids to run around, and an excellent selection of things to do. The softplay is brilliant fun, with thrilling slides and lots of climbing areas + a dedicated under 5s areas so they're not squashed by the older children. The animal barn is great fun. We love feeding the sheep and goats. And my little one loves all the outdoor play areas, especially the big tractors and sandpit playground. We've been 3 times now and only just scratched the surface, there's so much to do!

I always judge the place by it's toilets - took only a couple of pics of toilets just outside the barn as it wasn't a pleasant experience anyway. Apart from those not-so-appealing toilets, the place is good for toddlers and babies alike, perhaps up to 6-7 yo. My kids are closer to 10 yo mark and they were bored - mini rovers are slow and way too expensive for a lap /2 laps for what it is; go-karts were is appauling state, 2 were not working at all; mini gold costs £3.50 per ball 🫣 - a rip off. Food is tasty but the kids portions are small so add £2 or so and get an adult version. For family of 3 (1+2) I spent on tickets alone incl.mini rovers £64 - not worth it for us anymore.

We visited for the Halloween/pumpkin picking events. The venue, as always, was lovely. Lots of outdoor space, including play equipment suitable for a variety of ages. Be prepared to get dirty in the sand area when it's wetter weather. And of course, it'll be muddy. It's a farm. The piglets were popular with my son as was the "castle" play area and the ride on jeeps (he's 3 but wouldn't have been able to drive, an adult helped). Pumpkin picking was fun with lots of opportune photo moments, the pumpkins were a bit overpriced in my opinion, but we enjoyed the experience. We didn't have time to go in the barn on this visit but have enjoyed it previously. And we've never actually made it into the soft play as the kids have been happy outdoors.

Great little theatre. We saw in the night garden live and the show was great for little ones. The venue is attached to a large story car park and the entry in and out was swift. Would visit again

Panto 2023 Beauty and the Beast was an amazing watch. Seating in the circle was way too cramped, however staff were very accommodating when issue was explained to them. Glad to say rest of panto was watched and enjoyed without pain. Maybe a streaming service or live TV screen shown in comfort of the bars could be looked into, seeing as you've paid for ticket and can't enter without tickets being scanned. Be easier for those unable to access seats, especially when disabled seats fully booked.

What a wonderful experience. I haven't been in a theatre in ages. The atmosphere was electric. I enjoyed the "Someone Like You" show.

We watched The Mousetrap here. The seats are comfortable, the stage is a good size, the acoustics are good and the staff are friendly. Unfortunately on the night we visited two of the mens toilets had problems with the third completely out of order. Hence the 3 stars.

The staff were friendly. Seats comfy. Massive queues for bar and not particularly quick. The option to get drinks delivered to seat at interval worked fine and is recommended if you want to avoid the bar queue

Very nice theatre, comfortable seats and a good view from where we were (Row K Stalls). Standard super expensive pricing for drinks and sweets but am yet to find a theatre with sensible pricing. No complaints and would definitely come back again for other shows.

We love revisiting the Wycombe Swan theatre. The staff were friendly and helpful. The show was fantastic, and i could see clearly from our seats. I dis however struggle to find a toilet on the upper circle during the performance.

Arrived for a show tonight that was booked in November 2023, only to find the theatre closed, had not been advised of this and there was no notice to say what had happened and no refund or prior notification of the show being cancelled. Avoid booking if you actually want to see the show. After taking the day off work and booking this as a birthday surprise for my daughter, huge disappointment in this company, will avoid booking in the future. Wish I could give less than 1 star.

Took my 3 youngest Grandchildren (14, 13 & 9 yrs). We all loved it! Highly recommend. Will definitely book next year. Thank you .. a great time. 🤗

Excellent facility with integrated parking. Drinks available were nice. We saw ‘In the Night Garden Live’ which could have been a logistical nightmare, but sound plans had been put in place for pushchairs to be stored and booster seats were available. It was our first visit, but we will be back and hopefully expand our repertoire from the Tombliboos to something more entertaining!

Nice theatre, I'm a large person and the sits were nice and comfortable also had a good view of the stage.

It's an OK venue, maybe requiring some TLC in some areas. The parking is near and is reasonably priced, although very tight. I have attended the amazing Classic Rock Show here - the sound and the whole experience was awesome.

Awful venue- dated and in need for a refurbish!! That’s just the building but the area is appalling- the fact that the theatre has the audacity to stage a ballet performance leaves a lot to be desired. Staffing before and during the performance needs to be addressed!! Definitely would never recommend or return.

Went on a Friday night to see Mousetrap, which was throughly enjoyable, sat quite near the front, so the view was great, and the actors were easy to hear. Parking was next door, no on-site parking is provided, drinks and refreshments were available, and a tad on the pricier side, but all in all, a good night out.

My rating is for the ‘Theatre’ not the shows and is low mainly due to the lack of maintenance. Staff are all very friendly. The upper stalls are not advisable for anyone with vertigo and not accessible by lift. Hope this helps.

A bit chaotic , too many people queuing for drinks that you could t get past - both floors. Only one lift and that wasn’t operational, doesn’t help when you book circle tickets and are disabled . Ushers weren’t sure of seating and signposting not brilliant . Overall not impressed with the organisation. Had centre circle seats as we booked ages ago, they were comfy with good legroom and not a long way from the stage ,acoustics were good . Another comment re less abled visitors . The steps from the circle foyer to the central seats are steep but there is no handrail . Surprised is passes H&S standards.

Great night out spoilt only by two people who should stay at home. My 92 Yr old mum was up dancing, yes dancing, when the miserable scumbag at her side sat and pulled her arm down and told her to hold still. He was lucky I didn't know until after he had left the theatre!!! Ban antisocial swines from public arenas.

The staff is very kind, facilities are clean and well taking care of. I enjoyed the concert, good quality sound and inviting to stand up and dance! Lovely experience.

As ever, the circle gets stuffy and I fell asleep during The Drifters. The theatre was tidy, clean and well presented. The bar was speedy and well manned, which is not surprising at those hideous prices.

Smaller than expected, but nice to walk around and not too busy (it was raining though). The house part open to visitors is quite small, photography is not allowed (but too dark anyway). A bit too expensive compared to other parks and gardens, hence only four stars.

House was amazing. You have to take a guided tour and no photography is allowed in the house. Well worth a visit. Beautiful walk around the lake.

Haven't been here for ages. Was really surprised how great this place is. Its a stunning landscape garden with lovely views around every corner. It's a good walk if you go around the perimeter walk.

Lovely tranquil walks around the lake and grounds. The views from the mausoleum at the top of the hill are amazing - it's a steep climb though! Nice café at the Hell Fire caves.

Big fan of National Trust properties, great house (photos not allowed inside), amazing grounds, and the most welcoming and knowledgeable volunteers. Didn't disappoint to my Jane Austiny cravings.

Beautiful parkland to walk around with a stunning lake and various folly’s/temples in the grounds adding to the scenery. West Wycombe Park has a few rooms open on the ground floor. Worth taking a look to see the most amazing frescos hand painted on the walls and ceilings in the 1760s - absolutely stunning. Lots of information cards that gave you details on points of interest in each space. Very enjoyable afternoon spent here.

We Love it here! only spend an hour but was worth it, walk-in, we paid £5 each adult and free for our Little One (1yr/old) also You can park inside as long as its not full, members priority. Parked our car in West Wycombe Car park. Great view indeed! travel back in time, beautiful landscape, Lovely for walks and chill, picnic not allowed though, bring your own water and snack especially those with children, clean as you go bring back food packaging home. Located in a busy intersection road (be careful), Surely we will come back much earlier, that Monday was not busy at all. 4:15PM is the last time they accept people in. No Dogs and No Picnic allowed in the park.

Fantastic national trust estate, very large grounds which wonderful for walking, the house tour is interesting but restricted to the ground floor. There is no cafe which unfortunately causes most visiters to go into the local village for lunch/snacks.

This place and location really is a diamond in the dirt. Its clean, tidy, well looked after, and absolutely beautiful. I very much do go often as much as possible to walk around the trust. Sometimes you will catch film crews filming movies and TV programmes. And other times you will see all the wildlife and natural occurances around the site. It's great for walks, picnics, and lovely views. And it's a very good location to do photography. I'm lucky enough to live very close in a area around Buckinghamshire. And this is my favourite place. Even over clivden.

We attended here with some sixth form students on a school trip to learn more about the history of High Wycombe. The man who greeted us at reception was kind and informative. Students were able to circulate the museum and learn more themselves. There was a nice cafe at the end where the lady serving was also very friendly and students could sit and look at some books they had about the area. It was great seeing the history of the bodgers and chair making, plus some lovely artefacts and art. We will return! I would like to note that I emailed to book a tour with the group of students and upon arrival there was no document of our visit in the book- so maybe communication is needing improving further from email.

Very nice picnic/wedding location. There is a nice cafe in the museum as well. The staff are friendly and the the place looks well-taken care of.

Interesting and informative especially regarding the chair making industry locally. Old building in nice grounds with a cafe.

The Wycombe chair museum is a really underrated venue. It has a really nice garden with a wide variety of activities for kids, from a sensory garden to little pods to have lunch in. The staff are lovely and welcoming. The exhibits are pretty good for a small local museum. It's a nice little relaxing trip with young kids and a picnic.

Totally brilliant trip to the free museum to see the exhibition of chairs, but so much more. A Cafe, children's book corner, outside play areas, sensory garden and a cute cinema where you can watch all about the Wood Bodgers for example. A grand day out.

Lovely little museum about High Wycombe through the ages. A large section is devoted to its history of chair making. Lots of friendly & helpful volunteers & a cafe where snacks are available. Can highly recommend this museum.

Superb local museum and a real oasis of calm and beauty in Wycombe. I sampled the delights of the cafe and can thoroughly recommend the carrot cake. Gardens were picturesque and well maintained with lots of seating. Museum itself has a wonderful feel with informative exhibits that go well beyond the chairs (something I learned that the area is famous for making)! Some lovely paintings as well as artefacts as diverse as a Babylonian tablet to the town lion (not real). Thoroughly worth a visit.

Its is so lovey to have such a wonderful and great museum in our own home town. Its only visiting other places you realise that we are so lucky to have the following. People - working, volunteering and teaching. A Museum - that is hands on and child friendly, words that grown-ups can read quickly and still carry on with little ones. Stunning Grounds - enclosed and safe to explore and play. Planned Events - every session I book has been thought through and catered for the age of child the explainers are friendly and fun. The Cafe and Shop - A decent pot of tea and sensible choice of snacks. A shop that has gifts that someone has actually thought about. Seating that is child friendly. all in all a well worthy place to Stop, Explore, Stay. CONGRATULATIONS hats off to all that make it happen.
